Bibles today. We're going to be in Jeremiah chapter number 2, Jeremiah 2, and I'm going to give you what God has laid on my heart. You pray for me, and if you're here today and you need something from God, there ain't a thing too hard for my God, nothing, nothing too hard for our Lord. and you pray for me now. I'm going to, I'm just going to give you what God gave me, and I know there's maybe a lot of places in this world that maybe if it goes the way that maybe I think it will, that a lot of places wouldn't accept maybe what some of the stuff I may preach today, but I'm going to give you what God has laid on my heart, and I'm going to give you what the Bible says. You don't need what I say. You don't need my opinion. You don't need no commentary that I've wrote down. And if I'm smart enough to do that, but what we need is what does say the Word of God. Amen. Let me start out by saying today, Amen, if you've, in your past you've been in sin, Amen, you're living for God now. Why? Amen. If you're really right with God, there ain't nothing that can be preached to condemn you. If you're living for God, your heart's right with God. Amen. But this Bible, amen, God chose His Word. God chose the foolishness of preaching to save them that are lost. And as Garnie Dunn said in the Sunday School, the law that's in this Bible will condemn man. Amen. Man was already condemned before Jesus ever come. But Jesus came to set man and woman free. We'll start reading in verse number 1. The Bible said, Moreover the word of the LORD came to me, saying, Go, and cry in the ears of Jerusalem, saying, Thus saith the LORD, I remember thee, the kindness of thy youth, the love of thine espousals, when thou wentest after me in the wilderness, in a land that was not sown. Israel was Anybody know what tense was this in? Past tense. Israel was holiness unto the LORD, and the firstfruits of his increase, and all that devour him shall offend. Evil shall come upon them, said the LORD. Hear ye the word of the Lord, O house of Jacob, and all the families of the house of Israel. Thus saith the Lord God, what iniquity have your fathers found in me, that they are gone far from me, and have walked after vanity, and are become vain? So God's a-sayin', what did I do wrong that they've turned from me? Neither said they, where is the Lord that brought us up out of the land of Egypt? that led us through the wilderness, through a land of deserts, and of pits, through a land of drought, and of the shadow of death, through a land that no man passed through, and where no man dwelt. And I brought you into a plentiful country, to eat the fruit thereof, and the goodness thereof. But when ye entered, ye defiled my land, and made mine heritage an abomination. The priests said not, Where is the Lord? And they that handle the law knew me not. The pastors also transgressed against me. Boy, we've got that today. And the prophets prophesied by bail, and walked after things that do not profit. Wherefore I will plead with you, saith the Lord, and your children's children will I plead. For pass over the isles of China, and see, and send them to Kedar, and consider diligently, and see if there be such a thing in men. Now here the Lord says in verse 11, Hath the nation changed their gods, which are not gods? Amen, they got false gods. God said, they changed them, but my people have changed their glory for that which doth not profit. That's all that I wanna read today. You pray for me if you would. Father in heaven, Lord, we do thank you, God, for letting us be here today in the house of God. And Lord, I thank you for what I've already failed. And Lord, the good singing we've heard, we thank you. And Lord, for the Sunday school. And now, God, we've come down, our Lord, to really the most important part, our God of the air, and that is, our Lord, the preached word of God. And, Lord, I pray now that you'd anoint me, God, for, Lord, I know that I'm not able. And God, I know that I'm nothing. But Lord, I know, God, that you're everything. And God, I pray now, our Lord, that everything that comes out of my mouth, our Lord, this very day, I would be acceptable in thy sight. Our Lord, have your way now, God, in the heart of men and women. Our Lord, save the lost, Lord, before it be ever lost and too late. And it's in Jesus' name that we do pray. and amen and amen. Now, Jeremiah starts out here and writes, amen, and see, God tells him to go down and cry in the ears of them at Jerusalem. And brother, then he gets on down, and in verse number 11, amen, he said, hath a nation, and now tells him in verse number 10, amen, to go over to all these other nations, and brother, look at him. And he said, tell me if any of them have changed their gods, amen, which are not gods. He said, but my people that had the true and living God, they've changed their God into things that do not profit, amen. So I wanna ask today, and here's what I wanna preach on, amen, on when Did the Lord change? Amen. When did the Lord change? Now, amen, I want to give you a little background of where we're at today. Amen. The Bible said in Jeremiah that amen in the reign of Josiah, I believe it was in the 13th year. That's when Jeremiah began. I'd rather to ride this bug. I'd rather the Bible said, Jeremiah's ministry. I'd rather it went on down. Down to the car and away. I'd rather it under Babylon. And freeing all of this bug. Jeremiah's a-telling them. Amen, Babylon's a-coming. The enemy's a-coming. But all throughout Jeremiah's day, brother, there were pastors and there were men that said, hey, evil ain't gonna come for you are the people of God. But friend, let me tell you, amen, who evil is coming on today? God, brother, ain't gonna punish sin that don't know him. Amen, yeah, you know that preacher, because God said it. I know there's a judgment day. Don't take me out of context, but I'm talking about right now. Amen, God said, I'm not gonna punish your daughters for being whores. I'm not gonna punish your spouses for being adulterers because they don't know me. They walked away from me. It's a bad place to get in. when God won't judge you no more, and God don't chase you no more. Now friend, I know that whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap. I believe that with everything in me. But friend, do you know who judgment's coming on? It's the people of God. Them that claim to know the Lord. But for him now, Jeremiah's a writer, and Jeremiah's a preacher, and he said all of them other, all of them other nations, they've still God, the God they always had. Brother, if you get a statue of Buddha today, a little old thing of Buddha, and set him up on a shelf. If you walk in the bar, he'll be the same way. My brother, it ain't gonna change, but he's dead. My brother, that's not a living God. But right here, my brother in southwest Virginia, and men right here were, for years and years, men of God, preached in power, and preached holiness, and preached to live right, Now we've got down to work, we've tried to change God. But let me remind you that Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, brother and forever. God ain't never gonna change. He ain't gonna change for you. Brother, he ain't gonna change for me. He ain't gonna change for your children. Ain't gonna change for your grandchildren. He'll be the same. You see, when he called Abraham out in the land of the Chaldeans, he's the same God today that he was back then when he led the children of Israel through the Red Sea. He's the same God today as he was back then. When Jesus, our brother the Bible said, I walk this earth, amen, he said, have you seen the Father? And then you say, have you seen me? Have you seen the Father? He's the same God today as he was back then. Amen, he ain't gonna change. And brother, today we changed God. We molded God into what we want God to be. Amen, that's backers. You ain't supposed to mold God. God's supposed to mold you. Amen, yeah. The Bible said when Moses went up, amen, I hope you're praying for me today. Amen, when Moses went up, on the mountain, and to be with God, and get the law, and when he came back down, and made them a cave, and made it exactly what they wanted it to be, but you know what God's been doing, since he saved my soul, he's been molding me, and making me, I can't change God, but oh, there's a God in heaven that sure made a change in me today. Amen. God ain't never gonna change. His laws ain't never gonna change. Now, we ain't without law today. Garney taught it right. Amen, we're dead to the law of Moses, but we're not without law. We're under the law of Christ. Amen now. Amen, Jesus come. And brother, I've got a, amen, I'm just gonna preach now. Amen, I got a marriage certificate right here in my Bible to remind me to mail that. Amen, tomorrow morning, that I did yesterday in Bristol, amen, and it's a shame, this ain't no reflection on this couple. But the first thing I had to do, amen to your amen, now you may know preachers that don't care, amen, but I'm gonna stand judgment one day for what I do. And the first thing I had to do, amen, when I got this, when they give this to me, is to look down there and it says applicant one. a number of this marriage. My brother, if it said anything other than number one, I bet I had to find him another preacher. Amen, Jesus said, amen, I know that ain't popular today, but Jesus said, you've heard of old time, thou shalt not commit adultery. Then he said, but I'll say unto you, that if you look on a woman and lust after her, you've already I committed adultery in your heart. And then the Pharisee said, amen, shall a man put away his wife for any cause? Jesus said, have the hardness of your heart. Moses, I give you the writing of divorcement, amen. Amen, you young people today, they need to realize marriage ain't something you just, it ain't like buying a car. Oh, well, you can trade it off in three or four years. That ain't the way it is. My brother, when you make them vows, until death do us part, that's what God expects for you to do. Amen, today marriage don't mean nothing. It's unholy anymore. But the bed of marriage that God sanctified is still holy. Amen. I hear these preachers all the time. Brag about how I'd like for some homosexual to come ask me to marry them. They're a bunch of hypocrites. Marrying people who've got three or four wives and husbands. What do you think God's gonna do on judgment day? Amen. What do you think God's gonna do on judgment day? Amen. When they've turned away the gay man, I wonder if on judgment, amen, when the gay man looks over, I'm standing over here. Amen. Without God, I'm standing over here, I'm being judged and going to be cast into hell. I wonder if He might look at some of these preachers and said, you made this one right here. Amen. What's the difference? You talk about condemnation and you talk about judgment. My brother, there was a day, amen, when a man of God, a brother had standards, there was a day when men of God, not just men of God, but I'm talking about the church of the living God, there was a day when they stood against sin, but oh, the farther we get down in it, the easier it is to live in it, but oh, God's still way up here, and God's still looking down, and God's still holy, That God ain't gonna back up. That God ain't gonna change up for nobody. He's still the same. He's still the same. He's still the same. He's still the same. He's still the same. In 2025. Amen. It's a sight. When did God change? When did God change? and he ain't going to. He ain't going to. Amen. Let me just sit on marriage a little bit longer and I'll move on to something else. Amen. It ain't a trial run. Amen. It ain't just, that's the way people think of it today. Amen. I'll try it out. Amen, if it don't work, amen, I'll find something else. Amen, oh well, amen, I'll just see how it goes. And here's where we're living at today, amen. Now, instead of getting married, right now we've got down to work. They'll try it out living together, amen. Oh well, God said, you said there ain't nothing in the Bible that says there's anything wrong as long as they don't sleep together. Are you sure? Are you sure? Amen. Over in the book of Romans, Paul said, not in wantonness, not in chambering. You know what chambering means? My brother, it's that same word that's on the law in Virginia. Amen, or used to be anyway. and was on the law of the state of Florida until a few years ago. I did a man and a woman. I couldn't live together in the same house except as married. There used to be law, my brother, in America. But now most preachers today, my brother, they'll let them sing in the choir. Amen, let them teach Sunday school. Oh yeah, we're in a mess. Our churches are in a mess. My brother, we're living down there in the Saturday evening of time. but I'm glad, amen, that as close as it gets, the closer it gets to the coming of God, I'm just closer home. I'm not long for this world, and you're not either. If we live 100 years, it's a vapor, but eternity is forever. Amen. I'd hate to be one of them preachers, and I've known a few that had this reputation. Go talk to him, he'll marry anybody. I've known some of them. Well, he don't care. He'll marry anybody. As long as I'm pastor here, I don't care if you get some dead, amen, some dead, dried up preacher to do the ceremony, amen. It ain't gonna happen in this church. Amen. Praise God. Amen. There ain't gonna be a funeral in this church where a double married man's behind the pulpit. Amen. That's just the way it is. Amen, praise the Lord. And the Bible said, amen, old Jeremiah. I mean, he's writing to them, and brother, he's telling them, y'all better get right, y'all better shape up. You know what God's saying today? At the church of God, I better get right, better shape up, I better live right. For the judgment days are coming, resurrection days are coming. I'm afraid many are gonna be called. I'm not ready, I'm not ready. I'm not ready to meet God. Amen. I lost some of you. But what I'm preaching to you is a book. The Bible said, old Jeremiah said, go out yonder, go over to Chatham, go over to Kedesh, and show me where a nation has changed their gods. Amen. India, they're still Hindu. Amen. Over here in Arabia, they're still Muslim. Amen. And here in America, we're still Christian. Oh, I don't know about that. Amen. But surely here in the Bible Belt, we're still Christian. I don't know about that either. Amen. We went away. I'm going to tell you the only thing, the only thing that we need. Amen. A couple Sundays ago when Mark got right. Amen. I don't remember what I preached on that night. Amen. It wasn't nothing to the sinner. Amen. It wasn't a thing to the sinner. I believe I may be preached on sin. I don't remember. Amen. But I've seen him get out of his seat and come to this altar. I'd rather the well-prepared message. That ain't going to get the sinner. I'd rather the music. It's good to have a piano doing all the call, and music doing the invocation. Amen, ain't nothing wrong with that. But brother, all the music, they ain't gonna get them. It's gonna take the power of God. It's gonna take all time conviction. And brother, there ain't but one way to have it, and that's to have the truth and living God. Amen, the church of the living God today. I'm talking about the real church, and they still call on him. who's able to do all things. But most places today, I wouldn't know God if he should come in and sit down in the pew. Amen. Till death do us part. That's why people write their own vows today and leave that out. They don't want that. I've seen men walk off and leave women for a younger woman. Preachers. Preachers. And men, I've known women that when their husband got disabled in a wreck or something like that, in a wheelchair, she didn't want him no more. but that ain't the value you made. In sickness, amen, and in health, amen. Our brother, if more preachers would stand against it, we'd not have the mess we have. Amen. Our brother, if more preachers, our brother, would stand against sin, amen, the Bible said, amen, that I'm a watchman over your soul. Our brother, I'm gonna give an account for everything I let go on, and behind this pulpit, in this house of God. And brother, I today, I know we can't clean up a sinner, my brother, before they get here. But it's one thing to come in and sit down ungodly. It's a whole other thing for a pastor to condone it and let them take part in the service. Somebody said, well, you can't judge them. Amen. But I ain't got to. Amen. We need more preachers. I can remember going to the nursing home, me and Garnie and Jay. I was a young Christian. There was a man down there. I mean, told everybody he's saved. Amen. I said he saw a vision of hell. Amen. One day, and sir, I believe he was on the operating table, and he told everybody that on that day, amen, that he got right. And here I was, a young Christian. I remember Uncle Jay had a good mind about him at that time. I was standing right there beside his bed. He said, Bill, let me tell you something. Amen, you cuss. Amen, you talk about women all the time. It don't matter, that's what Jay told him. It don't matter what you tell me. According to this Bible, you're not saved. And brother, the Bible will be right. It don't matter what I think. It don't matter how good a man they are. How good a woman they are, if they're living in sin, they're not saved. Amen. When did God change? Preachers used to stand for something. I ain't going to preach real long, I don't think. Used to stand for something. But Jeremiah here, amen. Now you remember Josiah. He started in the 13th year of Josiah's reign. Now Josiah was a good king. He reigned 37 years out down yonder in Jerusalem. I started reigning at 38, 8 year old, 8 year old boy reigning. and brother reigned 30 some years, amen, and he was a good king. And the Bible said he did that which was right in the sight of the Lord. Old Josiah went through and said, we've gotta have a Passover. We ain't been doing it right. And when them priests came down and brother, they was gonna have the Passover, Josiah said, y'all ain't holy, you ain't been living right. We can't do it this month, we'll have to wait until next month. He said, sanctify yourself. and be holy. I'm a tellin' the church of God today. Brother, if we wanna see the power of all like it did on the Passover and Josiah's day, we'll have to sanctify ourselves. I draw nigh to God. My brother, I want it. Amen, I want to see God. I save our people. And if you're here today, friend, I think the one thing that can turn your life around, if you don't know God, that's the power in the gospel. Amen. What happened to them? When did God change? Evidently has, because people are preaching something different. But could it be, Brother Matt, that they've got a different God? They said, all them prophets in Jeremiah's day said, God told me to tell you, pieces are coming. God told me to tell you, don't worry about them from the north. Don't worry about them coming in on you. But Jeremiah said, Amen. He said one day, oh Jeremiah had the stocks on him. And brother, the Bible said there was a prophet. And they came down there, and he broke the stocks off of Jeremiah. And he said, God's going to break the stocks off of Israel. And Jeremiah said, Amen. And then Jeremiah got down to praying. And God said, you go back and tell them that I ain't going to do it. Amen, judgments are coming. I'm afraid today, brother, that the judgments are coming. What if today that all of these floods and all of this disaster was the judgment of God? But yet, people, I still won't wake up. I still won't wake up. I still won't turn. But, brother, judgment days are coming and it won't be long. We've always had floods, yeah? And God's always been a-judging. I ain't saying every disaster. I ain't saying you lose your house. It's because you done something wrong. But God's got a purpose in everything. And a trial will either bring you closer to God, or it'll push you away from God. Amen, people today. Amen, there's people that's lost everything they had, but they still say God is good. Amen, had Job done anything wrong? Job hadn't done nothing wrong, but God used that trial, amen, to show not only Job where he stood, but to show all the world what kind of God he was. Brother, I wanna show all the world of what kind of God he is. My brother, he's wonderful. My brother, he's mighty. My brother, he's my counselor. He's the prince of peace. He's the everlasting father. My brother, he's my friend. And I want to serve him and love him till the day that I die. He's so good to me. He ain't changed on me. And I don't want to change Him. Josiah said, we ain't been doing right. I wish somebody would wake up in churches today, and maybe you, if you ain't living right, you'd wake up and say, I ain't been doing right. When did God change? Amen. It used to be what we sought for in the house of God, it wasn't that you walk in and see smoke machines. You want to draw a crowd today? Amen. If you want to draw a crowd? Amen. Let's just spend all day today between service. Amen. We'll have to build on a few months if we do this. Amen. Spend all day today between service. Amen. Get us some black lights. I'll get us a couple of fog machines up here. I'll go hire some rock and roll band. My brother's got tattoos all over him. Amen. If you've got tattoos, amen, God saved you. All that's under the blood. But there was a day when the men of God, I said, don't go mark yourself. I like the world to do it. When did God change? Now we got preachers getting crosses on their arms. Amen. Let me just repeat that. If you've had tattoos and God saved you, it's all forgiven. You ain't got to go have laser treatment and get them off. God's done washed them away. Amen. But people in the house of God going and getting the needle with ink in it, right back in their skin again. When did God change? When did God change? Amen. Tattooed all up. Amen. Looked like a bunch of long-haired hippies. Amen. Looked like he'd come out of Woodstock. Amen. Getting up, that brother beating on the guitar, banging on the drums. Amen. Ain't nothing wrong with praising God on a musical instrument. God told us to do that. Amen. But when you play it like the world, and it sounds like the world, God ain't pleased with that. Amen, when did God change? Amen, I'll tell you today, we could change our God And brother, we could go contemporary, we could change our God And brother, do all the things that the world's doing But here's the problem today, them that have changed their God My brother, they're gonna die. And if time goes on, you and I are gonna die. But you see, it ain't their God that's gonna raise them one day. It's the true and living God. And brother, it's his judgment that's gonna be said. My brother, when did God change? He ain't never changed and never will. Amen. We've changed him. You know why some of you today do things that years ago you wouldn't do? You changed your God. You know why people today are alright with their grand youngins doing things that they wouldn't let their children do? They changed their God. Oh preacher, I don't like you saying that. I don't care if you do or not. I mean, I care about you. But it don't matter to me if you like what the Word says or not. It's amazing to me how people that stand for God wouldn't let their children go to the things of the world, wouldn't let their children partake in all of that, go to prom and all this. But when their grandchildren come along, some seem to be a little different. They say, Pritchard, what's going on? What's wrong with going to the dance? Are you stupid? Amen. Unless it's got a whole lot holier than it was when I was in high school. Unless there's been a revival in the gym floor. Amen. There ain't no place for a child of God. Amen. Amen. Women in there rubbing up on. Amen. I'm just telling you how. Amen. That's just the way it is. Amen. Women in there rubbing up all over the men. Amen. You know why our children, I'd rather show it up with lust and adults today are well in their forties and fifties are troubled by it because the door's been opened by loose living, by society, by Hollywood. My brother, there's a reason now. Amen, and men and women used to court. I was sitting on the living room couch. I bet those mommies and daddies had no idea what their daughter was last night and still don't know today. And life about it. And say, well, they must be having a good time. And that's all right, the world does that. But when they come in here, bless the Lord, oh my soul, God said I would that men, Paul said I would that men pray everywhere, lifting holy hands. When we bless the Lord and you ain't living right, don't even raise them. God don't want your filthiness. God don't want your mess. I mean, He wants your mess, He'll make it alright. But He don't want you to stay in it. Amen. God will fix it. God will wash you with the blood of Jesus Christ. Amen. Let me tell you what God done for me. Amen. I was a sinner just like you was. All of us in here today was born sinners. Amen. Tomorrow make, my brother, 12 years. Something happened to me that day. My brother, I met a man. My brother that knew everything about me. Amen, I met a man that knew everything I'd ever done. I was a fornicator. My brother, I was a liar. Amen, I had a temper. But hallelujah, I'm glad I met a man. I praise God. Amen, that came down from heaven. Amen, Braden sings that song. Amen, he came down from heaven. I just set all men free. Ain't you glad today? The God of heaven. I loved the world so, and He gave His only begotten Son. And the trouble is, when you change God's standards, you can't change that and not change His love. He can't be a God that will save and not be a God that He says He is. There ain't but one God. There ain't but one mediator between God and man. That is the man Jesus Christ. And if there was a hundred different gods you could serve, and all of them take you to their little heaven, then just pick which one you want. Pick the one that suits you. But there is a God. A God. Not many gods. One God. and he is real. Deep in my heart, his love I feel. And brother, when I'm laid beneath the sod, I'm going to say a no. I'm going to say a no, that there is a God. Amen. And it's the God of the Bible. A judgment's going to be Amen. And God's going to judge your hearts. God knows your heart today. God knows exactly where you're at. Amen. And I want to tell you, the world may change him, the world may mold him, but I don't want to mold him. I want him to mold me. When did God change? Never. He's changed in people's minds. But He ain't never changed, Brother Joe. He's always the same. I'll change. I'll get wrinkles in my face the older I get. My hair may turn gray one of these days. Amen. My vision may get worse next year. Amen. I may not always be able to jump up here like this. but amen to God that I, you know why I'm in to God? Amen, I used to run around and jump. Amen to all of that. And now they can still, amen, they can barely just stand behind the pulpit, but they've still got that same anointing as when they ran around. And you know why that is? My brother, God don't never change. He's the same. He's the same. When did God change? He ain't never done it. Amen, well, I've given you my heart today. He ain't going to change for nobody. Israel changed their God to something that did not profit. All that out there ain't going to profit you nothing. It will while you're living here, working. It profits you a little money in your bank account. But the only thing that's going to profit in eternity Amen is what you do for Him. The only thing that's going to profit in eternity. Brother, I'm not going up there. I ain't going to get no stars. I'm not going to walk around and have ten crowns. When did God change? Amen. We're living in a... I'm going to tell you this and I'm done. I've got to tell it for the Lord told me to. Amen. When did God change? Paul said that there's one gospel. Has God ever changed? I heard a back slit dog on the radio. That's what they was. I heard a back slit dog on the radio. Amen. The other day, that said the angel in Revelation, that's a whole new everlasting gospel. That ain't the same gospel me and you've got today. And then, this is why some of them preachers will marry people that's going into adultery. Because they say what Jesus preached was the gospel of the kingdom. But what Paul preached was the gospel of the church. What do you think the kingdom is? Jesus said, amen, you ain't gonna be able to see my kingdom. If it was of this world, my people would fight for it. But where's his kingdom at? Brother, it's right down in your inside of me. There ain't but one gospel. And if anybody says anything else, brother, let them be, amen, let them be a brother of heathen. Let them be a curse. That's what Paul said. There ain't but one gospel. When did God change? Amen. There's a lot of different views on end time doctrine. I realize and know that. Amen. And everybody ain't got to dot every I and cross every T to be saved. But when a man's preaching some false doctrine like that right there, right against the Bible. Going right against the Bible. Amen. That when Jesus comes, Somebody said, well preacher, amen, there'll be another time. God said now's the day. Preachers used to preach the Lord's coming, you better get ready. When did God change?
