Bless the Lord, O my soul, and all that is within me. Bless His holy name. Bless the Lord, O my soul, and forget not all of His benefits. Psalm 103. How good it is to be able to give glory to Almighty God, for He has done all things. We want you to turn with us in your Bibles to the book of Exodus, the second book in your Bible, the book of Exodus, chapter number three. Moses is out keeping the flock of Jethro, his father-in-law, and it happens to be at the mountain of God, even Horeb. That's what it says in Exodus 3.1. And there he sees the burning bush, and God begins to speak to him. Now, let's start off with verse number 11, Exodus 3.11. And Moses said unto God, Who am I that I should go to Pharaoh and that I should bring forth the children of Israel out of Egypt?" And he said, "'Certainly I will be with thee, and this shall be a token unto thee that I have sent thee. When thou hast brought forth the people out of Egypt, ye shall serve God upon this mountain.' And Moses said unto God, Behold, when I come unto the children of Israel, and shall say unto them, The God of your fathers hath sent me, they shall say to me, What is his name? What shall I say unto them? And God said, and here's the title of our lesson today. And dear soul, if you've ever seen a preacher in way over his head and not able to expound a verse, you're looking at him right now. For Exodus 3.14, in answer to Moses' question, who shall I say sent me? And God said unto Moses, and these next words are in all capital letters, showing it's deity, and it's the title of our lesson today, I am that I am. And he said, thus shall thou say unto the children of Israel, I am has sent me unto you. And God said, moreover unto Moses, thus shalt I say unto the children of Israel, the Lord God of your fathers, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob has sent me unto you. This is my name forever, and this is my memorial unto all generations. Heretofore Israel had only known God as the God of Abraham. the God of Isaac, the God of Jacob. Now he says, my name is, I am that I am. That's who I am. And we understand then, dear soul, that God is proclaiming himself in his essence. It's not just his name. I don't know how to say it. I told you I was in over my head. It's who he is. And may I say it's what he is. So we've come to see that God says, I am that I am. I'm not was, and I'm not just shall be, although the past and the future do not exist apart from me. Wow. But he says, I am that I am. Go with me and let's get some help real quick. from the prophet Isaiah, the prophet Isaiah chapter number 41 and verse number four. Let's let God speak concerning himself in the book of Isaiah through the prophet Isaiah. Isaiah 41 and verse number four. Who hath wrought and done it calling the generations from the beginning. Who has done it? I, the Lord, the first, and with the last, I am he. That's God speaking of himself. Verse number 10 of Isaiah 41. Fear thou not, for I am with thee. Be not dismayed, for I am thy God. I will strengthen thee. Yea, I will help thee. Yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness. A lot of I am's in that verse. Go with me over to chapter 44 of Isaiah. Isaiah chapter 44, beginning with verse number six. This is just reading some scriptures as God begins to manifest himself and who he is. Isaiah 44 6 thus saith the Lord the King of Israel and his Redeemer the Lord of hosts I Am the first and I am the last and beside me there is no God Different when you open your Bible and turn to Genesis chapter 1 and verse 1 don't turn we're not through reading here yet and it says in the beginning God created it actually says in beginning and It doesn't mean that that's when God started. It means that's when he started to create. He always had been. Somebody asked a wise old brother, where was God before creation? And the brother answered very clearly, God was in his glory. Can't be said any better than that. Don't try to act like I understand all that, but that's a good answer. Isaiah 44, 6. I am the last. I am the first. Beside me there is no God. Verse 7. And who as I shall call and shall declare it and set it in order for me, since I appointed the ancient people? And the things that are coming and shall come, let them show unto them. He said, let the false prophet tell you the past, present, and future. I'm the only one that can do that. Verse number eight. Fear ye not, neither be afraid. Have not I told thee from that time and have declared it? Yea, excuse me, ye are even my witnesses. Is there a God beside me? Settle it in your mind. The eternal, self-existent, everlasting God is the only God and Lord there is. Because the only one that is from everlasting, he's not just eternal, that is from now throughout eternity, he shall always exist, but he's not just eternal, but he's everlasting. From everlasting to everlasting. You say, I don't understand that. I told you it was in over our head. As long as God is, he has been and shall be. Past, present, and future have no sway over him like it does you and I. Time is in God. God is not just in time. What is time? It's the measure of succession. and there is no succeeding in God, he just is. You say, I see what you mean, Brother Gene. I see we're in over our head. Good, I'm glad you're in it with me. The book of John. Let's let the person of the Lord Jesus Christ, who is very God, speak concerning these things himself. Not something that I made up. Let's just read your Bible. And this verse in John chapter five and verse number 26 to me is a glorious verse that you can lose yourself in and we are doing that in this message. I am that I am has sent me. That's amazing. You want to know about a man? Well, this man's a stonemason. Okay, let's go look at is work. You can look at the work and see the straightness of the wall and the fitting of the stones together and how beautiful it looks and say, that's a good man. He knows what he's doing. But God didn't say, I am that which I am doing. He just said, I am that I am. Dear soul, do you understand? That means that we wouldn't understand it. We cannot possibly conceive and know that of ourselves. And somebody has well said, and I want you to listen to me when I say this, because it's true. God in his essence is unknowable. God is unknowable. You say, well, we know the Lord. That's what Christianity is all about. Well, you know, the Lord Jesus Christ. But I'm talking about God in his everlasting essence. We can't know him in that. We cannot perceive him in that. God alone can know God as I am. Because you and I want to know, okay, what kind of man is he? Look at his work. Well, he's a good stonemason. Seems to be a man that's dedicated to his work. You know something about him by what he did. God didn't say, I am that which I am doing. He was perfectly glorious, perfectly happy, perfectly content when he wasn't doing anything, when he wasn't doing in the beginning God created. But it doesn't say that's when God began. It said in beginning, in starting out, God created the heavens and the earth. What was he doing before that? That's what I'm talking about. He wasn't known in what he was doing, he was just known in who he was being. That's what I am that I am says to you. Let's read this verse, John chapter five and verse 26. For as the father has life in himself, so has he given to the son to have life in himself. Wow, what kind of lives did God have? Everlasting life, never began, shall never end. Ask him now while the bush is burning and crackling, who are you? And right now he'll answer you, I am that I am. He wasn't being smart of it. He wasn't trying to confuse Moses, he was trying to answer his question, and he did, as simply and as truly as could possibly be answered. It's just, we get lost in I am that I am. But the Lord Jesus Christ said, in the kind of life that my father has, and he has life where? In himself. God doesn't just create life, he is life. Jesus said, so, and by the way, every time you see an as in a verse, you're gonna have the word so, and you do in this verse. As the father hath life in himself, so hath he given to the son to have life in himself. What kind of life was there in the Lord Jesus Christ? Everlasting life. You see, but there was a time when he was born. That is, when his humanity came into existence. But he had always been. He had the same life in himself that the father had in the father's self. Let me read that verse the third time. You ready? For as the father hath life in himself, so the son, so hath he given to the son to have life in himself. Look at John chapter eight. Go over a couple of chapters to John chapter. We're just looking at what Jesus said about God and about himself. John chapter eight and verse 42. John 8, 42. Jesus said unto them, if God were your father, you would love me for I proceeded forth and came from God. Now folks, for you and me to have spiritual life, we had to be regenerated. We toss that word around. We understand it means it got saved. He got born again. I was regenerated. But Jesus Christ was never regenerated. He was generated from the Father. That is a lot to think about. I proceeded forth and came from God. He generated from the Father. As the Father hath life in himself, even so has he given for the Son to have life in himself. Neither came I of myself, but he sent me." Verse 53 of John chapter 8. John 8, 53. The Jews asked the Lord Jesus, Art thou greater than our father Abraham, which is dead? And the prophets are dead. Who makest thou thyself? Who do you think you are? Jesus answered, If I honor myself, my honor is nothing. It is my father that honors me, of whom you say that he is your God. Yet you have not known him, but I know him. And if I should say I know him not, listen to these next words. Jesus said, if I were to say I don't know the father, I shall be a liar like unto you. But I know him and keep him his saying. Your father Abraham rejoiced to see my day. Wow. And he saw it and was glad. Stop and think now. When did Abraham see Jesus' day? When he took Isaac up on the mount that turned out to be Mount Calvary in the New Testament, and was willing to offer his son there. The father and the son went with the wood and with the knife and the fire, picturing the Lord Jesus Christ going with God the Father, with God's justice and God's glory, going to fall on him and sacrifice him on that exact mount. That's when Abraham perceived that he understood the future redemptive work of God. He said to the young men that were keeping the mules, we will go yonder and worship and we'll come again unto you. He believed that he was going to sacrifice Isaac. No doubt in his mind, God said, take your son and offer him up for a sacrifice. He was going to do it. Well, then high in the world is him and Isaac going to come back, except he believed in the resurrection. So Jesus said, your father rejoiced to see my day. And he saw it. And what happened to him? It made him glad. Then said the Jews unto him, you are not yet 50 years old. And hast thou seen Abraham? Now listen to John 8, 58 out of the mouth of the Lord Jesus Christ and think about Him being very God. There is no difference between the Father, Son, and the Holy Spirit. As the Father has life in Himself, He's given me to have life in myself. We'll read you a verse in a minute. Well, it says, I and the Father are one. Now listen, John 8, 58. Jesus saith unto them, Truly, truly, I say unto you, watch it now, before Abraham was, past tense, give me the next two words. I don't want to read them out loud to you till you say it out loud right where you are. Here we go again. Verily I say unto you, before Abraham was, I am. Dear friend, that's the same God speaking the exact same words to these Jews that you and I can read in our Bible, that he said to Moses, that's recorded in Exodus 3, 14, there when the bush was burning and crackling, but it wasn't consumed. God is his own fire. He don't need any kindling or wood or stove wood to burn. He doesn't need any materials to cause him to exist. He is. I am that I am, from everlasting to everlasting, thou art God. So I want you to see in John 8, 58, the person of God who was speaking to Moses, because in the beginning was the Word. The Word was with God and the Word was God, John 1, verse 1. So we understand and see the vehicle of expression in the Trinity is the Son, the Lord Jesus Christ. I know the Father can speak because I read that he spoke when Jesus came up out of the water as John was baptizing him. And when he came up out of the water, a dove lit on him and the voice from heaven said, this is my beloved Son in whom I am well pleased. So God the Father can speak and did speak and does speak. But the word, the vehicle of expression from God Almighty is the person of Christ. So he was expressing himself through the eternal son to Moses in Exodus 3.14, I am that I am, and is expressing himself to the Jews in John 8.58, before Abraham was, I am. That's quite a contrast there. They made it very clear that Abraham is dead. In verse 53, I read it to you. Art thou greater than our father Abraham, which is dead? So Jesus had to say of Abraham, he was. But when he spoke of himself, He brings forth that same thing that we read in Exodus 3, 14. Who shall I say has sent me? Tell them I am that I am. Tell them that I am has sent you. If they want to know who that is, that's the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. But I am. Abraham was, but I am. Isn't that amazing? Now let's look at John 10 in verse number 30. John chapter 10 in verse number 30. This is the verse that I referred to a minute ago. In John chapter 10 in verse number 30, there's a simple statement. And it says, I and the Father are one. King James says my father, but if you'll notice, the word my is in italics. So in John 10 30, he says, I and the father are one. Wait a minute. I and the father, that's two. Well, Jesus said, I and the father are one. That's what he said about a Mormon. A woman and a man that get married, these two shall become one flesh. And dear soul, 1 Corinthians 6, 17, I'm sure that's what it's, the verse I want. It said, the greatest marriage in union is the spirit joined together with God and these two become one. So Jesus can say, I and the Father are one. So he can say, as the Father hath life in himself, even so he hath given to the Son to have life in himself. And if you've seen me, and I'm still getting ahead of myself, if you've seen me, you've seen the Father. I'm fixing to read that. So God is not simply that little, bearded wonder in the pictorial Bibles that many of y'all have, used to have. He's not just a hippie in a robe and a beard. In fact, I'm astounded at how much religion likes to present pictures of Jesus when God specifically forbids it. Because we're not to know God through pictures and drawings and statues and idols. We're to know God by the revelation of the Holy Spirit within us. That's the way the true church does. If it makes you upset when you see the harlot church presenting pictures of Jesus and having statues and images of Jesus and all the rest of the guys, I'm glad, I'm glad it upsets you, it upsets me. Why does it upset us? Because it says, you're to have no likeness of anything on the earth, under the earth, in the sea, in the heavens above of God. You are to know Jesus by revelation, that by the Holy Spirit. So Jesus said, I and the Father are one. There is a oneness with him. God now going up over to John 14. What are we doing? We're just reading verses where our Lord Spoke of himself as God and Gave you understanding of himself and the father now there are a lot of I am's in the book of John and every one of them was spoken by Jesus. Years ago, and I mean years ago, I preached a series on I Am. And I preached on I Am the Bread in John 6.35. I Am the Light of the World in John 8.12. I am the door of the sheep, in John 10, 7. I am the good shepherd, in John 10, 11. I am the resurrection, in John 11, 25. I am the way, John 14, 6. I am the truth, we're fixing to read this. John 14, 6. I am the life, John 14, 6. And I am the true vine, in John 15, 1. And all of those things, Jesus, who was the expression of God, speaking to Moses, as recorded in Exodus 3, 14, is gonna say the same thing. Who shall I say has sent me? I am that I am. before Abraham was, I am, John 8, 58. And then all of these I am's. We should take note of these things. He continues to say I am. You and I can say I was, and God willing I shall be, but we can't say I am because we're not going to continue as we are right now. I am what I am at this present moment. I'm not what I used to be, and I'm not what I shall be. We're constantly changing, but God changes not. He said, you sons of Jacob are not consumed because I change not. Because he had elected them, chosen them, determined to have them from all eternity, and that shall be no matter what. And he said, because I change not, ye sons of Jacob are not consumed. Isn't that amazing? Let's go back now to John 14, in verse number six. Jesus saith unto him, that is, he said unto Thomas, he says unto Thomas, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No man cometh unto the father, but by me. No man can come to understand God except that which is revealed to them in Jesus Christ, for he and God are one. I read it to you. John 10 30, I and the father are one. If you had known me, Thomas, you should have known my father also. And from henceforth, you know him and have seen him. You're looking right at the Father. If you know me, you know the Father, because I and the Father are one. Brother Gene, you're not really helping me. The further you go in this, the more confused I get. Good. That's the reason I want you to understand the statement, God, in his essence, is unknowable. We know him in the revelation of his person, of the Lord Jesus Christ, and only that by the Holy Ghost. Philip, verse number eight of John 14, not Thomas any longer talking to it, but now it's Philip, saith unto him, Lord, show us the Father, and we'll be satisfied, and it sufficeth us. Jesus said unto him, have I been so long time with you And yet hast thou not known me, Philip? Wait a minute. He didn't ask Jesus to show him Jesus. He asked Jesus to show him the Father. And Jesus answered it in the same kind of spirit that he told Moses, I am that I am, by saying, if you've seen me, you've seen the Father. I hope you understand that. Have I been so long time with you, and yet hast thou not known me, Philip? He that hath seen me hath seen the Father. And how sayest thou then, show us the Father? What are you doing asking me to show you God the Father? God the Father is known by Jesus' attitude, by Jesus' spirit, by Jesus' work, by Jesus' ministry on earth. If you want to know what God is like, look at the Lord Jesus, for He is God. I and the Father are one. To see me and to know me is to know the Father. Verse 10, John chapter 14, verse 10. Believest thou not that I am in the Father, and the Father in me? That's profound. The words that I speak unto you, I speak not of myself, but the Father that dwelleth in me, he doeth the works. He changed it from words to works, for his words were the works of God the Father. So let's take that and go back to Exodus 3.14, not turning your Bible. I mean, in our minds and in our thoughts and in our contemplations. When Moses said, who shall I say has sent me, God the Father spoke through the burning bush by the person of the word, the eternal son of God, because the son's words are here said to be God's works. So God's works to Moses were the words of the person of the word. They're one in the same. They're one in the same. My goodness. John chapter four. The book of John, chapter four. Jesus is talking to the woman at the well and the disciples come back and they had went through a drive-in window and got him a sack of hamburgers and gonna bring him back something to eat. In John chapter four and verse 31, in the meanwhile, His disciples prayed him. They pleaded with him. Master, eat. Now listen. But he saith unto them, I have meat. That's a King James 1611 word. It means food. Doesn't just mean a piece of meat. It means food. Let's read it that way. But he saith unto them, I have food to eat. that ye know not of." Nobody had given him physical food. He had not chewed and swallowed anything to sustain his strength. But he said, I have been fed. Therefore saith the disciples one to another, did y'all bring him anything when we didn't know it? Hath any man brought him anything to eat? Now listen to what Jesus says. John 4, 14, no, John 4, 34. Jesus saith unto them, my food is to do the will of him that sent me and to finish his work. I dare say that you have not meditated on that verse. I dare say that in your devotions, though you have, bless your sweetheart, read your Bible daily, sought the Lord sincerely in the scriptures, but have you actually considered, I am that I am, to the point of understanding what Jesus was saying to the disciples here in John four, the passage concerning the woman at the well. especially these words right here. My food is to do the will of him that sent me and to finish his work. Now, if you will dwell on that, you will understand and see why there are no restaurants, there are no chefs, there are no cooks, there are no kitchens, in heaven where your sanctified, sainted grandmother is. How is she living? Boom, right here. Going from the natural to the spiritual, we go from bowing our heads and bringing our fork up to our mouth and chewing and swallowing as a picture and a pattern of what Jesus meant in John chapter 6. He that eateth my flesh and drinketh my blood has life. As God has given us opportunity to feast off of natural food and swallow it down and get energy from it, That's the pattern and the picture that he has given us to understand somewhat of the spiritual realm of how do we live spiritually. All right, let's leave your granny behind. Let's get another example. All right, Joseph, the holy Joseph, man of God. No doubt that he's with God right now. Or Moses, if you want to. It doesn't matter. Somebody that you absolutely positively know is in eternity right now, the Apostle Paul. Joseph, Moses, the Apostle Paul, all of their bodies are in the earth, but God has called their spirits back to him. How are they living when there is no food like we know of for them to eat? This is the key to it. So we think religiously. We don't think spiritually. And I'm the same way. I'm not throwing rocks at you. We have been so brainwashed by the harlot church to think religiously. Well, take this wafer, you know, and then take this grape juice. And this is the body and represents the body and the blood of Jesus. Okay. And then, as soon as you get out of church, you want to be the first one in line at the steakhouse. Why? Because you want to eat. But wait a minute. What happened to that ordinance of the Lord's Supper, the Lord's Table, that you just participated in? Well, we did it. We do it once every whatever. And we accomplished it, and that's over and done. Now, let's go eat. You're missing something. We don't believe like the Roman Catholics priests do, that that wafer they stick on their people's tongues are the actual flesh of Jesus Christ. But they do. He actually says, the body of Christ, stick out your tongue. put it on your tongue and you swallow it down. They actually believe that their priest has the power, some kind of magician, to change that wafer they brought down at the Catholic store into the very flesh of Jesus Christ, the incarnate flesh. We don't believe that. But dear soul, we don't believe what we should believe either. As Jesus said here, my food is to do the will of my father that sent me. Have I ever really considered that? Have you ever really considered that? Why is it said that it is more blessing to give than to receive? Why is it that you feel so invigorated and so enlivened in doing something that the Holy Spirit showed you to do for the good of others and you got absolutely nothing out of it except doing what God told you to do and being a blessing to somebody that needed some help? That's this right here. You did the will of your father. And while you were doing that, Maybe you got back in your car and you started driving to your next location and all kinds of restaurants you passed, but you didn't even think about pulling off and going through a single drive-through window because you were so enlivened and you were so, may I say, thrilled over having the Holy Spirit make you the most blessed part because it's more blessed to give and to receive. And one of the things, and we just had correspondence from a Christian this past week saying, this is hard on us being the ones that are in the hospital, being the ones that are sick, and being the ones that have to be ministered to. We had rather be the ones that are ministering. And I texted them back and I said, Yeah, but sooner or later, you're going to have to be on the receiving end. It's an humbling thing, but we'd rather be on the giving end. Why? Because that's the meat that our spirits feast off of. My food is to do the will of Him that sent me. Wow. So Joseph and Moses and the Apostle Paul and hopefully your granny and every one of them's teeth and tongues and stomachs are turning back to dust in the ground. So how are they living? Boom. It's a different kind of meat. It's a different kind of food. And that's why God answered Moses as honestly, but it's so mysteriously given. And we have such a hard time with, I am that I am. Tell them that I am has sent you. Now, The history of redemption, thousands of years, great men, great women, great wonderful works of true revival, glorious preaching, the work of the Holy Spirit down through the ages. It's been unbelievable all that God has done in bringing the gospel from Jerusalem to Jericho, excuse me, Jerusalem to Samaria and to the uttermost parts of the earth, and it's all the way around here to us. It's amazing to see all that. But dear friend, those historical things that we have noted and we've read about, And we used to buy good books and read everything we could about the work of the Holy Spirit in all the ages that we could. And that's good. But dear soul, we need to get beyond religion and get into the spirit and unction of the Holy God and come to understand who we are in the Holy Spirit. Why did you pass up Arby's and McDonald's? Why did you pass up Wendy's after you left that person and you had been used of the Holy Spirit to do something good and it was the most blessed part and you was just enriched by having given to them and you forgot what you're supposed to be doing that day. You got transcended above the commonality of the day's purposes that you had purposed at the beginning of the day and said, these are the things I'm going to do. But God interrupted you and put you in a place to where you came upon somebody that was needed, needy, and God depended on you and had raised you up and put you in that place where you were the one that he was going to use to supply their need and you were just enriched. and you forgot to eat, and you couldn't wait to tell somebody, and you were praising God going down the road, and you forgot about traffic lights and speed limits and all that, although you were stopping at all the traffic lights and you were doing the speed limit, you just wasn't conscious of it. You had transcended to a realm of the Spirit. That's what Jesus was saying. He was physically as hungry as he was before the disciples went into the town to get something to eat. But they couldn't get him to eat. They prayed, beseeched, entreated, pleaded with him. Two words, Master, eat. We went to all this trouble. We picked out the very items that you, we know you like, and this is just for you. Now eat it." He said, boys, this is a place to where you need to hear something that you may not have heard before, and we may not have opportunity to bring it up again, but I want you to understand what I mean when I'm going to say, as recorded in John 6, he that eateth my flesh and drinketh my blood hath life. Not physically. We're not cannibals. And we're not Roman Catholics. We don't say this is the literal body of Jesus. It's not. It's just a wafer they bought at the Catholic bakery. But dear soul, there is that eating of his flesh and drinking his blood. And you may very well have experienced it more than once. But maybe you didn't identify it. Maybe you just enjoyed the spirit of giving the more blessed part. It is more blessed to give. Why? Because it's God-like. We quote John 3, 16 like water off a duck's back. For God so loved, he gave. The giving is a godly thing. It is more blessed thing. It is food to eat you know not of. Others know not of. Why is he so happy? He's still got to pay his taxes. Why is he so happy? He still has problems that he's got to go to see the doctor. Why is she so excited? She's still got that aggravating husband. Because they have food to eat you know not of. And God has come close to them and given them a taste of his flesh and a drink of his blood. Not literally, but as the father hath life in himself, even so hath he given to the son to have life and that's God giving you his life. That's that mother birthing that child into physical life. That's an issuance of the Spirit and revelation of I am that I am manifested himself to and through you so that physical needs, hunger, whatever, are so overcome that you don't even remember to eat and you don't even think about all those things you were dreading and the pressures of life anymore. And this is Revelation 4.1, come up hither. That's not the rapture of the church, leaving the earth. He didn't levitate one inch off the earth. You have to go to Revelation 11 to see him actually come up hither. But this is a spiritual thing. Honey, how'd things go for you today? I know you had a hard day scheduled ahead of you. He said, maybe you wouldn't believe what happened to me today. There was this situation in the tales about God giving them privilege to be more blessed in giving and forgetting about everything else and transcending the drudgery and the trials and the stress of life and being able to do the God part because it came out of love and God is love and God so loved, he gave. And it's more blessed to give than God had given to Jesus. That which is so blessed that he said, my food is to do the will of my father. that sent me and to finish his work. Wow, wow, wow. That's amazing. But that's how we need to start thinking. You know, it won't be long. And the way I see things around here in this world, I don't see how it can be very much longer until the Lord comes back and stops all this mess and takes us home. The thing that bothers me about that is, am I going to be embarrassed because I did not make myself ready as much as I should with the experiences and the Holy Spirit and the scriptures that I had available to me in my life? Well, he's a happy person. I ain't talking about happy. I'm talking about what Jesus said. My food is to do the will of him that sent me. So come out from among them and be not partakers of their sins and their plagues. Loud voice saying, come out from among them, my people. Come out from among whom? Well, that means we got to leave this organized religion and go in and start an independent church. No, you missed it. It means we need to transcend from the carnality of religious practice to the glory of spiritual unction and come into the place to where we can gaze deeply into that crackling bush that's burning with the fire of God's glory and hear the voice say, I am that I am. Do you just do your daily Bible reading? Good for you, don't stop. But Jesus said, the scriptures are they that testify of me. Did it ever make you bow your head while you were reading those verses? I gotta hurry up and do my daily Bible reading, I got a lot to do today. No, the Spirit of God opened up Christ to you and you wept in your soul as you saw the glories of Christ. And those scriptures were they that testified of him. And you asked the Lord to deliver me from religion's organization and deliver me unto the spiritual church's organism. And help me that I would And I'd say, boys, how long did it take y'all to buy this sandwich? You know, that woman was driving me crazy. You could have got back here early and run her off, and I could have had something to eat. He wouldn't even eat what they did bring him after they did get back. He just gave them a spiritual understanding, which I hope I have. preaching about it, I'm talking about it, but do I live it and possess it and understand it? Do I practice this? Lord, let me eat your flesh and drink your blood daily, constantly. Let me understand that doing the will of our Father is my food and drink. That's what we're going to be dealing with and having to sustain us when we get to the other side. That's what Paul and Joseph and Moses are doing now. And yet we say we want to go to heaven. But right now, pass me that quarter pounder. God have mercy on me. You can say that for yourself. I'm not going to say it. I'm not here to judge you. I'm here to declare to you all that the Father gives me. Ezekiel 40 and verse four, set my heart upon it and tell you everything God told me. And that's all I'm trying to do. And I want you to know that God said, I am that I am. And Jesus said before Abraham was, I am. And I want you to understand that all of these things that Jesus said, I am, are in your Bible for your reading, for your perusal, for your understanding, for your contemplation, So what would be a better thing to come from this little sermon that I'm trying to deliver than for you to start looking at all the I am's that Jesus said. And I gave you chapter and verse on every one. Wouldn't it be great if you, not because you are a member of the church, not because it's required of you to study your Bible, but because maybe you had a hunger to know I am. And Jesus said, if you've seen me, you've seen the Father. So I am the bread, the light, the door, the good shepherd, the resurrection, the way, the truth, and the life, and the true vine. Wouldn't it be a wonderful fulfillment of your efforts to start studying those things prayerfully and seeking the Lord? and asking that the Holy Spirit with the New Testament bring forth the light and life of that which was shadowy in the Old Testament. The law had a shadow of things to come, Hebrews chapter 10 and verse number one. That's what it said. Dear soul, let me finish this out. Matthew, not Matthew, Revelation 22 and verse 13. How does this thing end? The last book in the Bible, the revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave unto him to show unto his servant. Go to the last chapter of the last book in your Bible and go to the 13th verse. How does it end? Revelation 22, 13. First two words. Would you read them for me, please? Thank you. I am, alpha, that's the first letter in the Greek alphabet, so I understand, and omega, the last letter in the Greek alphabet. You say, well, I don't know about that. Well, read on. The beginning and the end, that describes it. What is alpha and omega? The beginning and the end. And then the last phrase, it says, the first and the last. And he said, before Abraham was, I am. And John 8, 59 said they took up stones to cast upon him for blaspheming God by saying God's words. but Jesus passed by. I don't know why they made himself invisible, how he slipped out from among them, but it wasn't his time to die. So God caused him to be able to slip out of that crowd. And they was all looking around with stones in their hand, nobody to throw them at. Before Abraham was, I am. I wonder, I wonder, I wonder if God caused you to come and look at this little video to put on your mind a whole different dimension of God that you have never, ever had. Although you have been a dedicated, serious servant of God, but you have never fully, that ain't good, I shouldn't say that, you have never even tried to understand because I know I can't fully understand. But you have never even sought to go into my meat is to do the will of my father has sent me. And as the father has life in himself, even though even so has he given me to have life in myself. And God said, I am that I am. Pray for me. God bless you. Amen. There was a stone the builders refused. It was cast out, rejected, scorned and abused. Now that rock, which they would not own, Is laid down in Zion, the chief cornerstone. salvation standing eternal through conflict and strife. Where could I find a firmer foundation than Jesus, the rock of my That rock the church stands secure, Clothed in salvation, spotless and pure. And though the gates of hell should assail, Yes, they may threaten Jesus, the rock of my salvation, standing eternal. Then Jesus, the rock of my life Then Jesus, the rock of my life
