Amen. Let's take our Bibles tonight,
please. Let's go to the book of Ezekiel. The book of Ezekiel, chapter
number 36. Ezekiel chapter number 36. If you're glad you saved, say
amen. Amen. Praise the Lord. Ezekiel
36. I don't know if you remember
or not. If not, I will remind you that
the night Sunday evening prior to the inauguration of our president,
President Trump, I made the statement that after he is inaugurated
and placed in office, this world will never be the same. And I'm not a prophet by any
means. It was kind of obvious that that
was going to be the case. Anyone could see that. It would
never be the same. And one of the reasons why I
felt like that would be the case most certainly would be the case.
I stated this that evening as well is that our president and
his cabinet and others to come into his cabinet. Some confirmations
are still pending. But our president and the cabinet
he's put in place is And it's not even a close second. It's
it's the most pro Israel, the most Zionist pro Zionist cabinet
and president that we have ever had in this country. And and
so with that in mind and understanding that I wanted to begin a series
of messages out of Ezekiel and talk about the future of Israel
and what what we know is going to happen.
Now we do not know, and I do not know, when all the events
will take place, but we do know that there are gonna be some
things that are gonna take place in relation to the nation of
Israel. The Bible lays it out for us.
And so what we're gonna do is we're gonna walk through the
latter part of the book of Ezekiel on Wednesday nights. with the help of the Lord at
chapter 36. I'm hoping we can finish the whole chapter and
then we'll look at chapter 37. I'm debating as to what to do
with 38 and 39 chapter 38 39 is the war of Gog and Magog. I'm making deal with those two
chapters in one night. We may have to split it up. Then
we get to chapter 40. I'm not going to do chapter 40,
41, 42, and give them each a night. We're going to look at an overview,
if you will, of chapter 40 to chapter 48, because that's going
to be dealing with Israel in the millennial reign with the
millennial temple and so on and so forth. And we'll just probably
hit some highlights there. The nation of Israel is the significant
nation on this planet in regards to prophecy. In fact, it is the
biblical clock, if you will, prophetical clock of the Lord
and found in the Word of God. It's the nation of Israel. And
knowing that our administration, even before they came in, they
were going to be the most pro-Jewish, pro-Zionist, administration that
this country has ever seen, we understand that there are going
to be some decisions that President Trump and others are going to
make in relation to Israel that they feel, that they feel is
going to bring some things to pass. In other words, there are
people in President Trump's cabinet right now who they want to help
the nation of Israel build a temple. in Jerusalem. They desire that. They are putting things in place
right now. They want that to happen. And so we know that, we understand
that. Now, what the rebuilding of the
temple is gonna mean for you and I is the rapture. The coming of the Lord Jesus
Christ is just that much closer. And there are people in the administrative
offices. Now, I don't know that they're
thinking in terms of the rapture and the coming of the Lord. Many
of them may be, but for the most part, they are focused on just
helping the nation of Israel. And what they may not understand
is the prophetic implications behind them assisting the nation
of Israel. And so I've already had this
on my heart and on my mind and wrestling with these things and
looking into these things. over the last few weeks just
to get ready for this series. And then, lo and behold, last
night, President Trump just slam dunked on us. Did not see that
coming. I did not see it coming. And
maybe you still have no idea what I'm talking about. And if
you don't watch the news, I envy you. I do watch it. I watch it
too much. I pay way too much attention, it seems, to politics.
But yesterday, Benjamin Netanyahu President Trump met there in
Washington, D.C., and after their conference, they had a press
conference, and President Trump made the statement that the United
States of America, and there's different ways we can interpret
this. I'm just going to say it as he said it. We're going to
take over Gaza. That's what he said. We're going
to take over Gaza. He's demanding that other nations
like Egypt or Saudi Arabia or Jordan bring in the Palestinians. And so I did not see that one
coming. I knew he was pro-Zionist. I
knew he was pro-Israel. There was no doubt about that.
And I understand that his cabinet is most certainly pro-Zionist.
However, this one come out of the middle of nowhere as far
as I'm concerned. Didn't see this one about us or our country
being so involved in the situation there in Gaza. And honestly,
my jury is still out, you know, debating this, trying to decide
how I feel about this. I was talking to a preacher friend
today, and I said, one thing that I do not want, I absolutely
do not want, is our military over there getting engaged in
some war in the Middle East. I don't want that at all. I don't
want to see that at all. If he wants to help Israel, that's
his business. But I just don't want to see
our young people going over there with guns and all that kind of
stuff. I don't want to see that. That's not my desire at all.
But that might be something that takes place. I'm going to pray
that it does not, but it's not in my hands. All I can do is
just pray and ask the Lord to help in these matters. But we
have an administration, many in that administration,
they want to take steps to help Israel Rebuild that temple. Well, that temple is rebuilt.
Sacrifices, animal sacrifices are going to be reinstituted.
And I'll remind you that those sacrifices being instituted in
that third temple will not be sacrifices that are honoring
to Jesus Christ. That temple will be an abomination.
That temple will perform. They will perform sacrifices
in that temple. that are anti-Christ because they don't believe, one,
that Jesus is the Messiah. I'm not saying everyone in Trump's
cabinet feels this way. I'm talking about the nation
of Israel, Judaism. They've rejected the Lord Jesus
Christ. They've rejected His sacrifice on the cross. They
don't believe He's the Messiah, and they don't believe by any
means that He died for our sins. And so if they get the temple
rebuilt, begin to perform those sacrifices, it will be in rebellion
against the Lord Jesus Christ. But in that temple, and this
is when Israel will start taking a turn toward the right direction,
in the middle of that seven-year tribulation period, the Antichrist
is gonna enter into that temple, he's gonna stand in that temple,
and there's gonna be other things that happen in that temple during
this period of time, but he's gonna stand in that temple, he's
gonna profess himself to be the God above all gods. that all religions, including
Judaism, morph into this global religion and worship the Antichrist. And that's gonna happen inside
that temple. And that's when Israel is gonna
see that, okay, this is not who we thought this was. And at that
point in time, he's gonna persecute the nation of Israel for three
and a half years in the last half of that tribulation period.
And then at the end of the tribulation period, Jesus is gonna return
to this earth at the Battle of Armageddon. We're gonna come
with the Lord, by the way, at that time. At the Battle of Armageddon,
and as the armies of this world are gathered in the Valley of
Megiddo to make war with the Lord Jesus Christ, Jesus will
destroy the world, the world's armies, at that time, and set
up his kingdom and rule for a thousand years in this world. But at that
time, at the end of that seven-year tribulation period, That's when
that nation, the nation of Israel, as a nation, as a complete nation,
whoever's left over at the end of the tribulation period that
is a Jewish person, they will be saved at the end of the tribulation
period. I believe that's what the Word
of God definitively teaches. However, there's a lot of things
that have to happen to get to that point. And the Bible talks
to us about those things that must happen to get us to that
point. And I could begin earlier in
the book of Ezekiel, but I feel like chapter 36 is a good spot
to begin studying some of these things as to what is going to
happen in the future. And some of these things are
going to be references to the past. Some of these things are
going to be references to things that we see even right now in
the present. But the vast majority of these
things are pointing to what's going to happen in the future.
And I want to point these things out because as we see what our
president and his cabinet are gonna do over the next months
to years, what's gonna happen, as we watch the steps they take,
as we study the word of God, we'll have a good idea as to
what's taking place over there. What's happening in this world? What's bringing this to pass?
And one of the things, I'm not so much excited about the temple
in Israel. I'm not applauding that. That's
going to be an antichrist temple. But what I am excited about is
the fact that they're trying to get to that point means Jesus
Christ. Will be coming soon, Lord, will
it? Lord, will it? If things if things proceed as
many are trying to get them to proceed, we may see the Lord
Jesus Christ return very, very soon. Now, if things now, if
the Lord is not ready, If the Lord doesn't deem it time to
come back, then what we're going to study is still going to happen,
it's still true, but it will continue to be postponed until
the Lord is ready for these things to happen. But I just want to
go ahead and study these things so that as we watch the attempts
of our government to bring some of these things to pass, we'll
be prepared and have a clear understanding of what the Bible
says concerning these prophetic events and the future. of the
nation of Israel. The future of America is very
important. It's absolutely very important. For one, it's important
to me because I'm an American. So our future is very important
to me. But in the ultimate scheme of
things, it's the future of Israel. That's where the attention, prophetic
attention needs to be. And so let's look at a few things
now. We're going to be in chapter 36 and tonight I'm looking at
the restoration of Israel. Chapter 36 deals with the restoration
of Israel. In this chapter, we're going
to see the restoration of the property of Israel. In other
words, the land that belongs or will belong to them. I think
it's fascinating that last night President Trump is It's talking
about the land in that area. Now, what he plans on doing with
Gaza, we don't know. We're clueless as to what he's
going to do right now. No doubt he has a plan. One thing
we do know about President Trump, he does nothing on a whim. He has a distinct plan. And sometimes
it may seem like he just had the thought, but that's not how
he is. If he if he says something, he's
been thinking about it for six months, maybe years. And so he's
had this is that's not the first time he and Benjamin Netanyahu
has talked about this. Not the first time. That is not
some idea that was conjured up yesterday afternoon. That's not
how this works. They've been in discussions for
quite a while. I guarantee it. In fact, even
just a few months ago, the son in law of President Trump, Jared
Kushner, He made the statement that the Gaza Strip and the shore
there would be a great resort area. He said that just a few
months ago. So this has been in the works.
Now what President Trump is wanting to do with this is where I don't
know. It's kind of fuzzy. Does he want
America to occupy the area? Or does he want to clean it out
and get it where it needs to be and help rebuild some things
and then hand it all over to the nation of Israel? What does
he want to do? Not sure. But what I do know
is he wants Israel to be the strong nation in the Middle East. And he wants this temple to be
rebuilt. So we're going to look at the
restoration of the property of Israel in Ezekiel 36. We're also
going to look at the restoration of the people of Israel in chapter
36. Now, this is a large chapter. It's got a number of verses.
How many verses does it have? It has, it has 38 verses. We're not going to be able to
just look at every single verse in great detail. So we, we're
going to, we're going to really just read some verses and I'll
make some comments as I go along. But we're going to go as quickly
as we can. And we'll begin at verse number
one, looking at the restoration of the nation of Israel. Now,
in these first few verses, we see God giving to Ezekiel these
prophecies. But in the beginning of chapter
36, he's talking about the rivals of Israel, the rivals, the enemies
of Israel. Now he's gonna prophesy to the
mountains of Israel, but he's prophesying to the mountains
of Israel concerning the rivals of Israel. So look at verse number
one. Also, thou son of man, on top of the other prophecies I've
already given you, on top of that, also thou son of man, prophesy
unto the mountains of Israel and say, you mountains of Israel,
hear the word of the Lord. Thus said the Lord God, because
the enemy had said against you, aha, Even the ancient high places
are ours in possession. There have been a number of enemies
down through the centuries who declared that concerning the
mountains of Israel. Even the ancient high places
are ours in possession. In fact, that's what the Islamic
nations want right now. They want to declare the mountains
of Israel to belong to them. They want to push the nation
of Israel into the Mediterranean Sea. They don't want them to
exist. The enemies of the nation of
Israel, they have plenty of them. Verse number three, therefore
prophesy and say, thus saith the Lord God, because they have
made you desolate and swallowed you up on every side. unto the
residue of the heathen, the Gentile nations. and you're taken up
in the lips of talkers and are an infamy of the people. People
just talk about you and ridicule you and condemn you. Verse four,
therefore you mountains of Israel, hear the word of the Lord God.
Thus saith the Lord God to the mountains and to the hills, to
the rivers, to the valleys, to the desolate places, a waste
I should say, and to the cities that are forsaken, which became
a prey and a derision, a laughing stock to the residue of the heathen
that are round about. What's gonna take place? In the
future, the nation of Israel is going to have a very difficult
time in the last half of the tribulation period. What we're
reading here in Ezekiel, we're reading some things that has
some parallels in the past. There have been some things that
happened in the past with the invasion of Assyria, with the
invasion of the Babylonians under Nebuchadnezzar. And those invasions,
we can see that those invasions and the results of those invasions
have a similar parallel to what we're reading in Ezekiel. But
we're gonna read some things in Ezekiel here that are gonna
happen in the future that have yet to ever happen. They never
happen. They're still to happen. So just
because there may be a parallel in the past, doesn't mean that
that's the full fulfillment, complete fulfillment of that
prophecy. There are prophecies yet to be
made. Verse number five, therefore
they said to the Lord God, surely in the fire of my jealousy have
I spoken against the residue of the heathen and against all
Idumea. Remember the king of King Herod,
was the Edomite. And, uh, here's, here's God saying,
I, I've spoken against them. Adumia was another name for the
Edomites, which have appointed my land into their possession.
with the joy of all their heart, with their despiteful minds,
to cast it out for a prey. Prophesy therefore, concern of
the land of Israel, and say to the mountains, and to the hills,
to the rivers, to the valleys, thus saith the Lord God, behold, I
have spoken in my jealousy and in my fury, because ye have borne
the shame of the heathen, because the heathen have ridiculed you
and condemned you. Therefore thus saith the Lord
God, I have lifted up mine head, This is God giving an oath here. Surely the heathen that are about
you, they shall bear their shame. So those who have surrounded
Israel and have hated Israel and have declared that they own
the mountains of Israel, God says they're gonna bear their
shame. So whoever stands against the nation of Israel, when it's
time for God to move, when it's time for God to deal with these
things, and it's not just yet, but that day's coming, whoever
stands against them, God says they're gonna bear their shame.
This is a prophecy toward the rivals of Israel. But still concerning
the land, we see a prophecy concerning the richness of Israel. Look
at verse number eight. But ye, O mountains of Israel, ye shall
shoot forth your branches and yield your fruit to my people
of Israel, for they are at hand, or soon to come. For behold,
I am for you, and I will turn unto you, and ye shall be tilled
and sown. He's talking to the land here.
It's not even a reference to the people. God's saying, I'm
for the land. I'm for that plot of dirt over
there in the Middle East. And I will turn unto you, and
ye shall be tilled and sown some of the land. And I will multiply
men upon you. He's gonna multiply men upon
the land of Israel. All the house of Israel, even all of it. He
said, I'm gonna put all of Israel on that land. And the cities
shall be inhabited, and the waste shall be builded. And that's
interesting. President Trump last night talked
about the Gaza Strip being a wasteland needs to be rebuilt. Now that
in and of itself is not a fulfillment of prophecy, but that's a precursor
to what is going to happen in the future when that nation is
rebuilt. Verse 11, and I will multiply
upon you man and beast. He's talking to the land, remember.
He's talking about how rich Israel's going to be one of these days.
I will multiply upon you, man and beast. They shall increase
and bring fruit. And I will settle you after your
old estates, the way it used to be, and will do better unto
you than at your beginnings. And by the way, that's never
happened. That has never happened. Israel to this day has never
had it as good as they did at the beginning. That's why we
know this is still future. He said, I will do better unto
you than at your beginnings. And ye shall know that I am the
Lord. Somebody tell me, does Israel
know that Jesus is the Lord? Not right now, they don't. They
reject him. That means this is still future.
It's yet to happen. Verse 12, yea, I will cause men
to walk upon you, talking about the land, even my people Israel,
and they shall possess thee, the land, and thou, the land,
shalt be their, the people of Israel, their inheritance, and
thou shalt no more henceforth bereave them of men. That word bereave means to deprive
or to strip, to make destitute, to produce childlessness and
barrenness. of Israel down through the centuries
has been a place of war. It's been a place of idolatry. Do you know that on that property,
the nation of Israel, the land, on that land, not only has there
been wars, as already stated, many wars, bloody wars, where
many have died of great battles death, but it's
also been a place of great idolatry where. Many children have been
slaughtered as they worship false gods. It's been a it's been a bloody
piece of dirt. And God said, there's going to
come a day where you're not going to breathe them a man anymore.
Nobody else is going to die on this land and no more children
are going to be slaughtered on this land. Verse number 13, Thus
saith the Lord God, because they say unto you, Thou land devourest
up men, and hast bereaved thy nations. Therefore thou shalt
devour men no more, neither bereave thy nations any more, saith the
Lord God. There's going to come a day they're
not going to do that anymore. They're still there. In fact, we're not
finished with bloodshed on that land. More war is going to come. The battle of Gog and Magog is
going to take place. More wars coming, more bloodsheds
coming, but there's going to come a day where that will stop. Verse number 15, neither will
I cause men to hear in the shame of the heathen, the idolatrous
people groups. They're not gonna speak there
anymore against Israel anymore. Neither shalt thou bear the reproach
of the people. Talk about Israel's own sinful
ways anymore. Neither shalt thou cause thy
nations to fall anymore, saith the Lord God. There's gonna come
a day where the land of Israel will be a good place and not
a place of conflict anymore. It's gonna be a place where,
as he said in verse eight, You shall shoot forth your branches,
yield your fruit to my people. It's gonna be a productive place.
Now, we've seen Israel since 1948 have great production. But what we're seeing here is
that taking place and then Israel being saved from bloodiness and
the bereaving of men as it states and turning back to God That
has not happened yet. That's not happened yet. Days
will come a day. Israel is going to set up its
temple, set up sacrifices, which will be antichrist. They're going
to receive the antichrist as a messianic figure, maybe even
the Messiah himself. The book of Zechariah calls him
the idle shepherd, the antichrist. He's the idle shepherd. He's
not a real shepherd. He's a hireling, if you will. but they're going to receive
him as such. But when, when he presents himself to be the God
of all gods, as Paul says in 2 Thessalonians chapter number
two, that's when they're going to realize this, this is not
the Messiah we anticipated. This is not the one. And that's
when he will begin their persecution and there'll be great bloodshed.
The battle of Armageddon will take place. The battle of Gog
and Magog will take place. All of that's going to take place.
And then, will see this bereaving no more, and the land will not
experience this type of bloodshed anymore. So we see the prophecy
concerning the rivals of Israel, the richness of Israel. They're
going to be rich in God's economy one of these days. But then we
see the revival of Israel. Here's where I want to get to,
the revival of Israel. There are many out there theologians,
Bible teachers who do not believe that the nation of Israel is
going to be saved. I was listening to somebody probably about 5.30
this afternoon while I was getting ready for church, listening to
some men talk, and they were just blasting this idea of that
nation getting saved against it. They believe that God is
finished with that nation and will not be saved as I believe
the Bible teaches ever. They don't believe it's ever
going to happen. But I'm convinced otherwise.
I believe the Bible teaches the salvation of the nation of Israel.
And here's some of the verses that I believe speak of this.
The revival of Israel. Look at verse number 16. Moreover,
the word of the Lord came to me, saying, Son of man, when
the house of Israel dwelt in their own land, they defiled
it. And they did. When they dwelt
in their own land, they defiled it. By their own way and by their
doings, their way, their idolatrous way was before me. as the uncleanness
of a removed woman. Wherefore I poured my fury upon
them for the blood that they had shed upon the land and for
their idols wherewith they had polluted it. I know we're in
a mixed company, I want to be careful what I say here, but
basically what he's saying here is when he says that her ways
was before him and Israel's uncleanness was before him as a removed woman,
he's talking about the monthly cycle of a woman. He said, that
is what this was to me. And he's saying, verse 18, wherefore
I poured my fury upon them for the blood that they had shed
upon the land and for their idols wherewith they had polluted it,
the violence of Israel itself. And I scattered them among the
heathen. There's been three scatterings
of the nation of Israel, three. There's been the scattering that
took place with the Assyrians when they invaded the Northern
Kingdom, the Babylonians when they invaded the Southern Kingdom,
and then the Romans came in, Southern Kingdom, and finished
it off, essentially. 1948, Israel, as far as the nation
of Israel as we see it today, they're not converted, they're
not saved, they're still deep in idolatry, was brought back
in preparing for the next dispersion. which is going to take place
when the Antichrist tries to destroy her in Revelation chapter
number 12. So he says in verse 19, I scattered
them among the heathen. Israel right now, there are more
Jewish people in New York City than there are in the nation
of Israel. Do you know that? She's still a scattered nation.
She has not been regathered. That's going to happen one of
these days, but that has not fully happened yet. God is just
getting things ready over there right now. He said, I scattered
them among the heathen, and they were dispersed, verse 19, through
the countries according to their way, according to their doings.
I judged them. He judged the sin and idolatry
of Israel. And when they entered unto the
heathen, whither they went, they profaned my holy name. As Israel
scattered throughout this world, they profaned the name of God. When they said unto them, These
are the people of the Lord and are gone forth out of this land.
As they scattered throughout the land, the last one being
the Romans, and they were scattered throughout this world, they went
around the world and said, hey, we are the people of the Lord,
we're the people of the Lord, but the whole time they were
rejecting the Lord Jesus Christ. God is saying here that was a
defense to him. Verse number 21, but I had pity for mine holy
name, which the house of Israel had profaned among the... By
the way, they're still profaning that name right now. Now, don't
misunderstand me. A Jewish individual can be saved
and come to Christ and be saved, but as a nation, as a group,
they're still in rejection of Christ. They're professing the
name of God, but they're rejecting him because they reject Jesus.
I do not subscribe to this idea that I've heard so many preachers
say down to the years. Well, Israel worships the same
God we do. They just don't accept the New
Testament in Jesus. That's not true. That's absolutely
not true. Jesus said out of his own mouth,
he said, if you believe Moses, he said that to the Jewish leaders
of that day. If you believe Moses, you will believe me because Moses
wrote of me. That's what Jesus said. But they
don't believe Moses, and that's proof. The proof of that is they
don't believe in Jesus. And so I don't subscribe to that.
So they're named in the name of God, but they don't really
believe God because they've rejected their Messiah, the Lord Jesus
Christ. But God said, I had pity for mine holy name. What he's saying is when he restores
the nation of Israel, he's not gonna restore them because they
deserve it, They've done nothing to earn it. They've done everything
to keep God from doing it. He said, the reason why I'm going
to restore them is because I put my name upon them. I've attached my name to them.
and I had pity for my name, is what he said. Look at verse 22.
Therefore saying to the house of Israel, thus said the Lord
God, I do not this for your sakes, O house of Israel, but for my
holy name's sake, which ye have profaned among the heathen, whither
ye went. The salvation of Israel is not
about Israel getting saved, it's about the name of God being restored. And by the way, you and I getting
saved, it ain't about me and you. It's about God. It's about Jesus Christ dying
to save sinners. It's about Jesus Christ. It's
about God and his glory. Listen, you and I, thank God
Jesus died for our sins, was buried and rose again the third
day. But that primarily is for the glory of God in saving sinners. Because we're sinners, we get
in on it. He wants to save us and he loves
us. God didn't save you and me because
we did something to deserve it. He saved us in spite of us. He
saved us because his son deserves it. Jesus heard it. He's not gonna save Israel because
they've done something to deserve it. He's gonna save them because
his name's attached to them. He's connected himself to them.
Verse 23, and I will sanctify my great name. In other words,
I'm gonna set apart my great name, which was profaned among
the heathen, which he had profaned in the midst of them, and the
heathens shall know, the heathens shall know that I am the Lord,
saith the Lord God, when I shall be sanctified in you before their
eyes. When the nations around, see,
Israel said, the nations around, the nation of Israel, are going
to know that their God is God, when their God is the God of
the Bible. That's when those nations are
going to know. He says in verse 24, for I will take you from
among the heathen and gather you out of all countries and
will bring you into your own land. There's going to be one
more scattering. under the Antichrist, which is
pictured by the Assyrians and the Babylonians and the Romans.
All of those are pictures and precursors of that last scattering
of the nation of Israel. But they've been scattered throughout
this world. There are nations all, excuse
me, Jewish people all over this globe. He says, but I'm gonna take you
from the heathen and gather you out of all countries and bring
you into your own land. He says, I will do this for my
name's sake. And when I do this, he says,
verse 23, the heathen shall know that I am the Lord, saith the
Lord God, when I shall be sanctified in you before their eyes. See,
when Israel gets saved, it's not just going to be good for
Israel. It's going to be good for the whole planet. In fact,
take your Bible. We're going to close with this.
There's, I got, I got plenty more notes. I mean, there's a
lot up here, but we're going to hold off. I could stay too
long of this. I do want to finish with this. Go to Romans, please.
Romans 11 and look how the, the apostle Paul words this in Romans 11, look at a verse
number 11. Paul says, I say then, have they,
talking about the Jewish people, the Israelites, have they stumbled?
You know, when they rejected Christ, they stumbled. Have they
stumbled that they should fall? In other words, have they stumbled
just so they would stumble, they would fall? Is this the end of
it? They fell because God wanted
them to fall, and that's it. This is God forbid. But rather,
through their fall, salvation has come unto the Gentiles. for to provoke them to jealousy. Part of the reason why, not the
only reason, but part of the reason why you and I got in on this
thing is because they didn't want it. They didn't want it. So God said, okay, I'll turn
to the Gentiles. And Lord, we wanted it. And here we are, we're
saved. But watch this, verse number
12. Now the fall of them be the riches of the world, and it was.
God turned to the Gentiles. And the diminishing of them,
the riches of the Gentiles, How much more their fullness? In
other words, if you and I were blessed because they didn't want
it, they rejected Jesus Christ. And so God turned to us, we desired
it, we took it. And it was our, our blessing.
Their fall is the riches of the world, the riches of the Gentiles.
But if, if we gain so much by their rejecting of Christ, watch
this, how much more of their fullness? Implying how much more
will we be blessed if, if they said yes to Jesus. For I speak
to you Gentiles in as much as I am the apostle of Gentiles,
I magnify my office. If by any means I may provoke
to emulation or jealousy them which are my flesh and might
save some of them, what's this? For if the casting away of them
be the reconciling of the world, which it was, what shall be the
receiving of them be but life from the dead? Now, when they
rejected Jesus, in fact, in verse number He talks about the fall
of them and then the diminishing of them. And I believe the fall
of Israel, I believe we can pinpoint when it took place. I believe
we can pinpoint when it took place. And I believe it's Acts
chapter 7. Now, they rejected Jesus in the
Gospels, Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John. But a lot of people
don't think about this. They rejected Him again in the
book of Acts. They didn't just reject him once,
they rejected him before the death, burial, and resurrection,
and after the death, burial, and resurrection of Christ. And in the book of
Acts, you read the early part of the book of Acts, God's dealing
with the nation of Israel. He's offering himself to Israel
again. He's offering Jesus Christ to
them again. In Acts chapter 7, you see the
Holy Spirit filled deacon, Stephen, preaching before the Jewish religious
leaders. All they had to do was receive
his message. Yes, we trust Christ. That's our Messiah. But what
do they do instead? They stoned him. They killed
him. And that was the last time Israel
got a message like that. That was the last time. That
was their fault. The very next chapter, you have
an Ethiopian eunuch getting saved. The chapter after that, you have
a Jew, but the apostle to the Gentiles getting saved. The chapter
after that, chapter 10, you have a Gentile, an Italian named Cornelius
and his family getting saved. As soon as Israel fell in Acts
7, you see the three sons of Noah getting saved. The son of
Ham, the Ethiopian. The son of Shem, Saul, who would
be the Apostle Paul, and the son of Japheth, Cornelius. There you have the three sons.
There you see God, when he, when Israel said no, God began to
turn to the world, turn to the Gentiles. And then you see the
Apostle Paul raised up as the apostle to the Gentiles. And
you see in the book of Acts, Acts 7, you see their fall. But
then verse 12 talks about the diminishing of them. If you read
the book of Acts, starting in chapter number eight, and you
watch how it progresses, Israel's dealt with less and less and
less and less as the book of Acts goes along. Acts 7 is their
fall. God never deals with them as
a nation again. But after that, they're diminishing. God deals with that nation less
and less and less and less. And not too many years after
the Book of Acts was completed, the Romans invaded Israel, destroyed
their temple, completely destroyed it. Not one stone was left unturned,
just like Jesus said. And that nation was put in the
dust heap of history until 1948, as God began to make preparation
to set things up again to bring about their salvation. Because
when they get, listen, their fall was a blessing to the world,
but just wait till they get saved. And what kind of blessing that's
gonna be to this planet. He says here, it's like life
from the dead for the whole world when that nation gets saved.
Because when that nation gets saved, that's when Jesus is gonna
begin his 1,000 year reign on this planet. and rule and reign
all of humanity that's here on this planet for 1,000 years. That's gonna be a glorious day.
And it's gonna begin with the salvation of the nation of Israel.
And next week, we're gonna jump back into Ezekiel 36. I was hoping
I could get to all of it. I could not. So we'll jump in
next week. But the next few Wednesday nights,
we're gonna look at the future of Israel. But as we are looking
to see what the Bible says, Listen, do this. Don't, don't interpret
the Bible with what you see on TV. Interpret what you see on TV
through the lens of the Word of God. This is the truth. That news anchor can be wrong.
This will never be wrong.
