The Death of Innocence

The boy who was rescued by the wife of a priest, adopted by this couple, and trained in the ways of God; who became king at age seven and was a great king while his mentor lived; this king did not finish well. In fact, this king became a traitor! Any concept of the innocence of man, the prosperity of Judah under Jehoash, and the great potential of the boy-king died along with Jehoiada. We cannot be redeemed by any other than Jesus Christ!
