1 Peter 1, verses 18 and 19. We all read those two verses this morning. If you're happy in the Lord, say a good hearty amen. Amen. Verse 18, verse 19. 1 Peter 1, verses 18 and 19. Let us read the Bible. Word of God, all together, go. For as much as you know that you were not redeemed with corruptible things as silver and gold from your vain conversation received by tradition from your fathers, but with the precious blood of Christ as sublime without blemish and without spot. Let us pray. Heavenly Father, thank you for the word of God. We thank you for the Bible. We thank you, Lord, for your people who are able to come today and be part of our worship. Dear Father, we pray that the preaching of thy word will be made clear, simple, and yet at the same time would be powerful because it bears the power of God. the power of the Holy Spirit of God the enlightening power of the Holy Spirit of God in Jesus name I pray for souls to be saved amen and amen now be seated please this morning I'm preaching a message entitled the precious blood of Jesus Christ, the precious blood of Jesus Christ. The reason why I preach on this subject is because the Lord has burdened my heart to preach this coming few Sundays, to preach on the doctrines of the major doctrines of the Bible. I believe the blood of Jesus Christ is a major teaching or a major doctrine of the Word of God. And so you cannot be saved. It is how important it is. You can never be saved unless you believe in the power of the blood of Jesus. Some have decided to omit the word blood in their Bible. Some have taken the word blood in their song books. But we still believe there is power in the blood. Amen? And the blood of Jesus Christ is the foundation of redemption. Jesus Christ died on the cross. shedding His blood and then was resurrected as the only acceptable, the only acceptable payment for our sins. The blood, the precious blood of Jesus Christ. Here the blood of Christ is called precious, amen? Say it with me, precious. Precious. The blood of Christ is called precious. Peter uses the word actually, he uses the word precious five times. Five times in his first epistle and twice in his second. In 1 Peter 1, verse number 7, he says, the trial of your faith is precious. He uses it three times in chapter 2. In verses number 4, verse 6, And seven, each time having reference to the person of the Lord Jesus Christ. I say this, surely He is the most precious. Amen? Jesus Christ in our midst today. is the most precious. He's the center object of our worship this morning, amen? Jesus Christ is precious for every believer. Then in the second epistle, in chapter one, verse number one, then he said that we have the precious faith, precious faith. And in chapter one, second, Peter 1, chapter 1, verse number 4, we have precious promises. Precious faith in verse 1, precious promises. And let me say this, all these things would be meaningless to us apart from the precious blood that He shed for us on the cross. all these precious things mentioned by the Apostle Peter they are nothing apart from the precious blood of the Lord Jesus Christ again in verse number 18 chapter 1 verse 18 and verse number 19 and we say this we have been redeemed with a great very great prize the blood the blood, for as much as you know that you were not redeemed, are you saved this morning? You were not redeemed with corruptible things as silver and gold from your vain tradition, received by tradition from your fathers, but with the precious, precious blood of Christ, as a Balaam without blemish. Thank God for that. I can sing you and I can sing this morning. Redeemed. Redeemed by the blood of the Lamb. Redeemed. I am redeemed by the blood of the Lamb. I am redeemed and I know that I am. The blood of the Lord Jesus Christ is so precious for us. And so we have been redeemed with a very great prize, the blood of the Lord Jesus Christ. Every time you think about your salvation, you know what you see? You see the blood that was shed on the cross for all of us. The blood of our redemption was not a cheap one. Let me say that again. Our redemption was not a cheap one. Nothing else could do but the blood of Christ. No greater price could be paid and nothing less would be satisfactory payment. If Christ was willing to pay so great a price, then we say our redemption must be important. If we went to the cross and paid so great a price, then we say our salvation, our redemption is so important. Therefore, we should highly price, we should consider it highly, highly price our salvation and also the price that was paid to obtain it. The blood, the blood, the blood is found in the book, this book, from cover to cover. You go into the book of Genesis, you find the word blood. The importance of the blood. You go into the book of Exodus, you find the importance of the blood. In the book of Numbers, in the book of Deuteronomy, in every book up to the book of Revelation, you find the blood. The blood. So this book, this book we call the Bible. Now you see, it has blood on it. The Bible is a red book actually. It has blood in it from cover to cover. Somebody has said, cut the Bible anywhere. Cut the Bible anywhere and it bleeds. Why? Because this is a blood soaked book. Entirely, you find the blood. You cannot be saved unless you believe in the precious blood of Jesus Christ. In Genesis chapter 4, we have the story of Cain and Abel and their offerings. Cain brought of the fruit of the ground and his offering was not accepted. Abel brought of the firstlings of his flock and his offering was accepted. We question, we ask the question, why the difference? Cain's offering had no blood in it, amen? While Abel's offering did. Hebrews 9.22 says, without, this is a principle that runs throughout the Bible. This is a principle that you find, a concept, a great doctrine you find in the Bible. Hebrews 9.22, without shedding of blood, there is no remission. There can be no forgiveness of sin without the shedding of blood. Thank God. Thank God. We say His blood accomplished so much for us today. The reason why we are saved today is because of the precious blood of the Lord Jesus Christ. The shedding of Christ's blood has accomplished so much for us. Besides redeeming us, by it we have forgiveness of sin. Please take note of the verses that I share with you today. These verses are all about the blood. In the book of Colossians 1.14 you may write them quickly and if you have a pen this morning and then when you go home you try to restudy them. Colossians 1 verse number 14, in whom We have redemption through His what? His blood. Even the forgiveness of sin. I felt the need, as the Lord has birthed in my heart, to take every Sunday, these few Sundays coming, to go into the major doctrines of the Bible to feed the church and to enlighten us. In today's religious confusion, we need to know what the Bible says. And we start with the blood today. There are so many people, even Baptist people, have taken the word blood in the song books because they said the blood has lost its power. But we believe there is still power in the blood. We believe we preach the gospel, a gospel that bears the blood. The precious is still precious today. The blood of Jesus Christ is still fresh today to save and to empower us as God's people. Colossians 1 verse 14, in whom we have redemption through his blood, even the forgiveness of sins. It also cleanses us from all sins. Take note 1 John 1 verse 7, and the blood of Jesus Christ, His Son cleansed us from all sin. You need to know that, especially if you are a new believer. If we are, the Bible says in Romans 5 verse number 9, by it we are justified. much more than Romans 5, 9 being now justified by His blood. We shall be saved from the wrath through Him. And then another thing, Christ made peace through the blood of His cross, Colossians 1 verse 23. Also in Acts 20, 28, write these verses down. Acts 20, 28 we read, the church of God which had purchased with his own blood. Church, listen to this. The price he paid to purchase us is the blood of the Lord Jesus Christ. That's the price of the church. That is why we do not admit or we do not accept people to become members of our church unless they profess their faith. Amen? We only accept people. I only baptize people if they profess they are saved. Amen? Because the church is a saved church. The church is saved by the blood of the Lord Jesus Christ. In Hebrews 9. Hebrews 9. 14 Hebrews 9 the Bible we are in 914 said which we read the church of Christ our God which had purchased his own blood and Our conscious are purged from dead works by his blood Hebrews 9 14 were made nigh or near by His blood. Ephesians 2, verse number 13. We are sanctified by His blood. Hebrews 13, verse number 12. By it we enter the holiest by the blood. Hebrews 10, verse number 19. By it we overcome Satan. Revelation 12, verse number 11. I hope you got those verses. Surely we should highly prize that which has accomplished so much for us, the blood. Without the blood, there can be no salvation. There can be no justification. There can be no sanctification. There can be no access to heaven. There is still power in the blood. We still sing that song. Would you be free from the burden of sin? What do we say? There's power in the blood. Power in the blood. Would your evil victory win? There's wonderful power in the blood. Sing it with me. There is power, power, wonder-working power in the blood. of the Lamb. There is power, power, wonder-working power in the precious blood of the Lamb. Do you believe that? I cannot imagine why people taking the word blood in their songs. Taking the word blood in their songs. Taking the word blood, omitting the word blood in their Bible, the blood bears the power to save. Would you be free from your passion and pride? There is power in the blood. Power in the blood. Come for a cleansing to Calvary's tide. There's wonderful power in the blood. Would you be whiter, much whiter than snow? There's power in the blood. Power in the blood. Since stains are lost in its life-giving flow, there's wonderful power in the blood. Would you do service for Jesus, your King? There's power in the blood. Power in the blood. Would you live daily His praises to sing? There's wonderful power in the blood. Our success, our victory in life depends on a living revelation of the power of the blood of Jesus. Always remember, there are nine wonders of the blood that I'd like to share with you. Nine wonders of the blood. Wonder number one is salvation. Salvation. The blood cleanses us from all sin. The blood is the price made by Christ to gain back God's approval, gain back God's, our lost relationship with God. Now, wonder number one, we talk about the blood is salvation. Ephesians 1 verse 7, we have redemption through His blood. The forgiveness, are your sins forgiven? Say amen. Can you honestly? I am redeemed. I am forgiven. Why? Not because you are trying to be a good person. Not because you were born in a Christian home. Not because you are a member of a church. You are saved because you have been forgiven through the blood of Jesus Christ. Number one, wonder is salvation. Number two, wonder is peace. Colossians 1 20 and and having made peace through the blood the blood of his cross By him to reconcile all things Number three, number one, you have salvation. Number two, you have peace. Number three, access into the presence of God. Hebrews 10 verse 19, having therefore boldness or freedom to enter into the holiest by the blood. Amen. We can come by the blood. Anytime, 24 hours a day, you can come into the very throne of God. Why? The blood has provided us access. The blood. Do you want to come to the presence of God today? You can. Do you want to see the president today? You cannot. There will be guards who will stop you. But you know what? I can come to the very presence of God right now and embrace it. All I say is that I have the blood. What blood? The blood of Christ. Come in. Come in. The door is open. The door of heaven is open. The throne of God is open. Why? Because of the blood of Jesus Christ. You don't say, I'm a pastor, please let me in. Or I'm a member of the Bible Baptist Church, please let me in. I'm a good person, please let me in. No! None of those things will provide you access to the throne of God. But you have the blood of Jesus Christ. Thank God, the blood. Hebrews 10 verse number 19, having therefore boldness to enter into the holiest by the blood. Not the blood of Joseph's men, not the blood of Muhammad, not the blood of Felix Manalo, the blood of Jesus, amen. So we have salvation, we have peace, we have access number four, we have deliverance. Zechariah 9 verse 14, By the blood of thy covenant I have sent forth thy prisoners out, out of the feet. Number five, clear conscience. Clear conscience. Hebrews 9 verse 14, How much more shall the blood of Christ purge your conscience? Number six, cleansing. Cleansing from sin. First John 1, 7. But if we walk in the light, the blood of Jesus Christ, his Son, cleanseth us from all sin. Number seven, protection. I'll be preaching on this tonight. Hebrews 12, verse 13. God says, When the angel of death comes, destroying the firstborn of every home and the firstborn of their flocks, God says, when I see the blood, the blood shall be to you for a token. And when I see the blood, God says, I will pass over you, and the plague shall not come upon you. Thank God our home is covered by the blood. Thank God our church is covered by the blood. Early this morning, I prayed, said, Lord, we are going to have services. I'll be preaching tonight, this morning, and in this evening. Please cover the church with your blood. And I feel the power of the blood overshadowing us today, covering us today. Sometimes I go to the mission field, I sleep with our mission pastors, and I just feel something is going on, something is wrong going on. And I would just simply bow my head and say, Lord, cover us with your blood. because there's protection in the blood. A few times I had members who would say, well, we cannot sleep because, you know, something is bothering us in our house. And our neighbors are saying something, you know, going on in our house. They see people coming in and lights are being opened in the night, even if nobody is there. And I go there and I just say, Lord, cover this house with the blood of Jesus Christ. The blood. I have no power to rebuke the evil spirits, but I should just simply believe in the blood. Covered door. This house with the blood. I visit people in the hospitals, in their homes, and I can easily detect. that there are sickness that are caused by a natural reason, natural thing, because we get sick because naturally we are human beings. There are also sickness that come to people I believe that are caused by the devil or the evil spirits because Satan has the power to afflict us physically. And I could sense that. The Holy Spirit would tell me something is wrong. And I would say, I would say, Lord, cover this person, this believer with your blood, the blood of Jesus Christ. There are times that even in our services, I could feel something is going on, and something is bothering my mind, and I could see something is, you know, bothering the services. And I would quickly, you notice after the choir, I would always bow down. I just whisper, Lord, cover me with your blood. Cooper me with your blood so that the preaching of the word of God will be empowered when you see the devil is afraid of the blood Why? The only thing the only way we can defeat him is through the blood. He knows he had been he's a defeated foe Where did Christ defeat him? Christ defeated him on the cross When Jesus Christ shed his blood on the cross Oh yes, there's protection, number eight, healing, and a Christian life. Christian life. It may sound old-fashioned this morning, but I am one of those who believe there is still power in the blood. What can wash away my sin? Nothing but the blood of Jesus. What can make me whole again? Nothing but the blood of Jesus. O precious is the flow that makes me white as snow, no other fount I know, nothing but the blood of Jesus. For my fardun this I see, nothing but the blood of Jesus. For my cleansing this my plea, nothing, nothing but the blood of Jesus. Nothing can foreseen atone, nothing but the blood of Jesus. Not of good that I have done, nothing but the blood of Jesus. This is all my hope and peace, nothing but the blood of Jesus. This is my righteousness, nothing my by the blood of Jesus. Oh, precious is the flow that makes me white as snow. No other fount I know, nothing but the blood of Jesus. My introduction and I am almost out of time. Give me a chance to give you at least four or five reasons. Number one, the blood of Jesus Christ has the power, number one, to redeem. It has the power to redeem, and we say amen to that. Forasmuch as ye what? Doubt? No. Forasmuch as ye question? No. Forasmuch as ye, now look at your Bible. For as much, verse 18, as ye say it, please. For as much as ye say it, no. Really no, but no. You know, do you know you're saved? For as much as you know that you were not redeemed, you were not saved, you were not forgiven. Redeemed, thank God! For as much as you know that you are not redeemed. Oh, you know we are redeemed. What a wonderful thing to know. I say this, many do not know. And think it is impossible to know. And I usually bring with me the gospel truck that I wrote Is it possible for someone to be saved and know it? Every time I give out those, I could hear them back and say, ah, impossibly. But my Bible says, for as much as you know, you can know it. Many people say they think it is impossible to know, yet the Bible everywhere testifies to the fact that you and should know. 1 John 5, 13, please, in your Bible. These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God, that ye may know. I thank God I know I'm saved. That ye have eternal life. You have eternal life. 2 Timothy or 1 Timothy 1, 2 Timothy 1, 12, for the which cause I also suffer these things. Nevertheless, I am not ashamed, for I know whom, not what. I know whom, and that whom is Jesus Christ. I have believed. I know whom I have believed and I'm persuaded that he is able to keep that which I have committed unto him against that day, the day of judgment. For as much as you know, continue reading, that you were not redeemed with corruptible things as silver. What a lovely word redeemed is. Redeemed. It means more than just to purchase something. To redeem something, in the word redeem, you redeem something that at one time you possess, but then lost. Now let me simplify that. When one brings something to a pawn shop and gets the money, or whatever he brings to the pawn shop, And if he cannot pay the redemption price, it is lost forever. It is lost forever. You don't go there and say, let me pay. You redeem it. Amen. You redeem it. Redemption. For as much as you know that you were not redeemed. Something that you possess but then lost. And when you go there, you do not buy it. You get to get it back. You redeem it. If you cannot pay the redemption price, it is lost forever. What do we call that? Pagdini mo bayaran? Embargo. That means they are free to sell it to some other people. Let me tell you this. What happened to us? By creation, we originally belonged to God. But by the sin of Adam and Eve, we were lost from Him. Not only lost from God, but enslaved to Satan. Unless redeemed, we would be lost forever. And so the Bible says, 2 Corinthians 4 verse 4, but if our gospel be hid, it is hid to them that are lost. We're lost, why? Because of the sin that we inherited, in whom the God of this world, or Satan, hath blinded the minds of them which believe not. The Lord, you see, the Lord can say, deliver him. Now, in spite of the fact that we are lost, but I say this, the Lord can say, deliver him, from going to defeat. Believer him, Zechariah said. Now, I mean, Job says, let me read the verse. Job 33, 24, please. He goes into the slave market of Satan, and then he commands. He finds you there confined, imprisoned by Satan, under the captivity of Satan, but Jesus Christ comes. You hear the gospel this morning. It is preached to you. You get convicted of the word of God and you want to be set free from the slavery of sin. From the power of Satan and from the power of sin. The Lord then comes, Job 33 verse 24. Then he is gracious unto him and sayeth, deliver him from going down to the feet. You know what God says in Job 23-24? For I have found a ransom. I have found a ransom for him. God made him to be seen for us, Jesus Christ, who knew no sin, that we might be made the righteousness of God. All we like sheep have gone astray. We have turned everyone into his own way. And the Lord has laid on him, on Jesus, the iniquity of us all. God says, release him. Release him. Why? I have found a ransom. The ransom. Friend, Jesus' blood, Christ's blood is the price. When you say blood speaks of life, meaning Christ gave his life, gave his everything on the cross, we might be saved. We surely needed redemption. We were enslaved by Satan. 1 John 5.19 and we know that we are of God and the whole world lieth in wickedness 1 John 5.19 we read in Romans 7 verse 14 that we were sold under sin man by nature is slave to sin Christ became our kinsman redeemer in scripture times When a man would get hopelessly in debt, then he would sometimes sell himself as a slave to someone in order to pay for the debt. To become a slave. And you know what? He has no ability to redeem himself according to the law. God has provided the law in the Bible, the law of kinsman-redeemer. Only his nearest of kin, the nearest of kin would redeem him from slavery. And he was called the kinsman-redeemer. If a man had to sell his property for a reason, and the nearest of kin could redeem it for him. For example, if I don't have my property, and the time comes for me to redeem it, and I cannot redeem it, I cannot pay it, the nearest of kin is obliged, if you have the means to do it, then you are obliged to redeem it for your brother. Kinsmen redeemers of the Bible. And we find this great concept if you study the book of Ruth. Christ is our kinsman redeemer. That is why he came down and took our human flesh. He took upon himself human flesh. So becoming our kinsman and then went to the cross and by shedding his blood became our redeemer. For as much as you know that you are not redeemed, you know that you are not redeemed. Praise God, I am redeemed. Amen. I'm still the same, but I'm redeemed by the blood of the Lamb. I'm redeemed because I got saved. Redeemed how I love to proclaim it. Redeemed by the blood of the lamb, redeemed through his infinite mercy, his child, forever I am. Redeemed. Redeemed. Redeemed how I love to proclaim it. Redeemed by the blood of the lamb, redeemed through his infinite mercy, his child forever I am. I like that. And we can say, redeemed, redeemed, redeemed by the blood of the Lamb. Redeemed, redeemed, His child and forever I am redeemed. Christ has redeemed us from the curse of the law. Galatians 3 verse number 13. He has redeemed us from the curse of the law. Thank God, I have no more time. I must stop here. He has redeemed us from the curse. I'll close with this, I promise you. Just expound this verse. In Galatians, I still have a few pages here. I may finish it tonight. Galatians chapter three, your Bible please, and then we will be out. Galatians chapter three, open your Bible there quickly. Quickly, Galatians 3, verse number 13, Jesus Christ, Christ that redeemed us. Galatians 3, 13, Christ that redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us. As it is written, curse is everyone. Yes, he died for us. He died for us. I will continue my message tonight. The blood has the power to redeem. It can save you tonight. You believe Lord Jesus? You died on the cross. You shed your precious blood. And the blood of Jesus Christ cleansed us from all sin. And by faith I believe you are the Son of God. I believe you died. You took my place. On that cruel cross, you shed your blood, and that blood is the only instrument by which I can experience forgiveness, cleansing. Whatever sin you have, the blood of Jesus Christ cleanses us from all sin. As a child of God, find your strength, find your safety, in the blood of Jesus Christ. The devil is afraid of the blood. He turns to be powerless. He loses all his grip. He loses all his power against us because of the blood. Tell God today, Lord, hide me under the blood. Would you please stand? Heavenly Father, thank you for the message. We could continue to say many other things, but Lord, time has come, so we must observe time. And Lord, I pray this morning that if there's someone here, sin burdens our lives. Sin causes us to get defeated and blinded. But we want to hear the Lord Jesus Christ coming and say, release him. Release him from defeat. I have found a ransom. That ransom is the blood of Jesus Christ. There is forgiveness. There is peace. There is deliverance. There is salvation in the blood. of Jesus Christ. What can wash away my sin? Nothing but the blood of Jesus Christ. Oh, we need to drink of the blood, meaning we need to appropriate the blood. We need to believe in the blood of Jesus Christ, shed for our sins. We need to embrace the Lord. We need to come and be saved. In Jesus' name I pray, amen and amen.
