Well, good evening, everyone. It's so good to be with you here in Seinfeld this evening. And so good to see the church so well filled for the gospel service. Just want to thank Joel for leading the service for us this evening, for his warm words of welcome. And thank you to your leadership here for the invitation to come along this evening and open up God's word together. Now if you would take your Bible, we're turning this evening to two different passages of scripture. We're turning first of all to Matthew chapter 26 for a few verses. The gospel according to Matthew and chapter 26. Matthew 26 and we're going to commence to read there at verse 47. Matthew 26, verse 47, and the word of the Lord says, And while he yet spake, Lo, Judas, one of the twelve came, and with him a great multitude with swords and staves, from the chief priests and elders of the people. Now he that betrayed him gave them a sign, saying, Whomsoever I shall kiss, that same is he. Hold him fast. And forthwith he came to Jesus and said, Heal, Master, and kissed him. And Jesus said unto him, Friend, wherefore art thou come? Then came they and laid hands on Jesus and took him. Then come with me, please, to Mark chapter 15. The gospel according to Mark and the chapter number 15. And we're going to read a number of verses through the chapter. Mark chapter 15, and we'll begin to read there at verse number one. The Word of the Lord says, And straightway in the morning the chief priests held a consultation with the elders and scribes and the whole council, and bound Jesus and carried him away and delivered him to Pilate. And Pilate asked him, Art thou the king of the Jews? And he answering said unto him, Thou sayest it. And the chief priests accused him of many things, but he answered nothing. And Pilate asked him again, saying, Answerest thou nothing? Behold, how many things they witness against thee. But Jesus yet answered nothing. So that Pilate marveled. Then drop your eye down, please, to verse 15. Verse 15. And so Pilate, willing to content the people, released Barabbas unto them and delivered Jesus when he had scourged him to be crucified. And the soldiers led him away into the hall called Praetorium. And they called together the whole band, and they clothed him with purple, and plaited a crown of thorns, and put it about his head, and began to salute him, Heal, King of the Jews. And they smote him on the head with a reed, and did spit upon him, and bowing their knees worshipped him. And when they had mocked him, they took off the purple from him, and put his own clothes on him, and led him out to crucify him. And they compel one Simon, a Cyrenian, who passed by, coming out of the country, the father of Alexander and Rufus, to bear his cross. And they bring him on to the place Golgotha, which is being interpreted the place of a skull. And they gave him to drink wine mingled with myrrh, but he received it not. And when they had crucified him, they parted his garments, casting lots upon them, what every man should take. And it was the third hour, and they crucified him. Then finally drop your eye down to verse 34. Verse 34, and at the ninth hour, Jesus cried with a loud voice, saying, Eli, Eli, lama sabathanai, which is being interpreted, my God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me? And some of them that stood by when they heard it said, behold, he calleth Elias. And one ran and filled a sponge full of vinegar and put it on a reed and gave him to drink, saying, let alone, let us see whether Elias will come to take him down. And Jesus cried with a loud voice, and gave up the ghost, and the veil of the temple was rent entwined from the top to the bottom. And verse 39 to finish, And when the centurion which stood over against him saw that he so cried out, and gave up the ghost, he said, Truly this man was the Son of God. We'll end our reading there at the end of verse 39, and we do know and believe that the Lord will bless the public reading of his own precious truth. Let us come to the Lord in a moment's prayer. Our gracious God and loving, eternal Father in heaven, we are so thankful this evening for the great privilege and liberty that we have to be able to meet in this place and for this purpose, that we can herald the good news of God's redeeming love. And Father, as we do so tonight, we do pray for the help of God the Holy Spirit. I pray that tonight that you would give those seated before me that ear to hear what the Spirit of God would say. that heavenly Father, those in the meeting tonight that are saved, that we would be encouraged as we look back by thy faith to Calvary, whenever we see and realize once more what it took to buy salvation for each and every one of us. And Father, tonight we pray that whenever we leave here, that we would leave with a different walk with thee. But our Father, for those maybe in our meeting tonight, or maybe listening online, yet unsafe, we pray that by thy Holy Spirit they would be convicted of their sin and of their need of a saviour. Our Father, we pray that tonight this place would be a rescue shop within a yard of hell. We pray that tonight that new names would be recorded in the rule book of heaven, the Lamb's book of life, that some dear man or woman, boy or girl would come to know Christ as their very own and personal saviour. And so, our Father, I pray for thy help tonight. I pray that I would know that indwelling power of the Spirit of God and that tonight you would speak through me. And heavenly Father, that I would be faithful to the blood and to the book. So, our Father, do continue with us. Be pleased to bless us and be pleased to glorify your name. We ask all these things returning the thanks. In our Savior's name we do pray, amen and amen. In the opening verse there of chapter 15 of Mark's gospel, just that opening line, it says there, and straightway in the morning. And if you drop your eye down, again, you'll see in verse 42, we didn't read it, but it says in verse 42, and now when the even was come, a morning and an evening of a very special day. You know, a recent survey was carried out and the question was asked to a number of people, what do you believe was the greatest day in the history of the world? What do you believe was the greatest day in the history of the world? Among a number of answers that were given were these. Some said the 20th of July, 1969, whenever man first walked on the moon. Others said the 11th of November, 1918, whenever the First World War came to an end. There were those that said the 9th of November, 1989, whenever the Berlin Wall was taken down. Some said the 12th of October, 1492, whenever Christopher Columbus discovered America. There were those that said the 15th of June, 1215, whenever King John signed the Magna Carta. Those were all great days in the history of the world. But here in our passage this evening, we have read of the greatest day in the history of the world. The day whenever the eternal Son of God hung upon the center cross at Calvary for your sin and mine. When in those dark hours he had the sin of all humanity placed upon himself, when he shed his precious blood to pay for your sin and mine, so that tonight we can be saved by God's grace and know that assurance of sins forgiven, and know the assurance of a home in heaven. I pray that if you're here this evening and you're not saved, I pray that before you would leave the church tonight, that you would settle the matter for eternity here. That tonight you would leave knowing Christ as Lord and as Saviour, knowing that your name is recorded in the rule book of heaven. On this very special day, there was a number of people that crossed the path of the Lord Jesus, a number of people that came face to face with the Saviour. Whenever He was taken from the garden of Gethsemane and brought to stand before Annas, then brought to Caiaphas, brought to Pontius Pilate, sent to Herod, and eventually brought back to Pontius Pilate and condemned to the death of the cross. A great many people crossed the path of the Savior that day. Many people were brought face to face with the Lord Jesus. And I want us this evening to consider some of those people that came face to face with the Savior. And as we do so this evening, I want you to ask yourself the question, which one of these people resembles you tonight? Which one of these people that we're going to consider as a mirror reflection of your attitude and your response to the person and work of the Lord Jesus Christ? Which one of these people resembles you tonight? The first group of people that I want us to think about tonight is the chief priests. Look with me there at verse number three. Verse number three, it says there, and the chief priests accused him of many things, but he answered nothing. But he answered nothing. My dear friend, as you sit here in the meeting tonight, and you're not saved, There's something that I want to press upon you, it is this, the possibility that God would cease to speak to you. The possibility that God would cease to speak to you again. You see, here's these men, these chief priests, and the one that stands before them, the Lord Jesus, He is the eternal Son of God. He's the one who left the realms and splendors of heaven's glory and came down into the sin-cursed scene of time, the eternal Son of God and God the Son. He's God manifest in flesh. The one who stood before these religious leaders was and is God. And yet here, he no longer speaks to these men. You see, my dear friend, these men have crossed the line. They have crossed the boundary, and God no longer speaks to them. My dear unsafe friend tonight in the meeting, or maybe listening online tonight, what if God were to cease speaking to you this evening, and he was to leave you in your sin? And in the week that lies ahead, you go out into eternity. without hope and without a savior, you're going down into the caverns of the damned in hell with absolutely no way back. And there's no rewind, there's no replay, there's no second chance. You're there for all of eternity. A Sunday school teacher one day was teaching her class and she was trying to get across the topic of eternity. And one of the young boys in their class said to the Sunday school teacher, Miss, how long is eternity? And she took off her wedding ring and she gave it to the young boy and she said, find the end of the ring. The young boy took the ring and he turned it around and around and he said, Miss, there is no end. She said, give it to the boy beside you. And he passed it to his friend beside him and he turned it around and around and he said, Miss, there is no end. She says, that's right. That's just like eternity. No end. My dear friend, if you go out into eternity without knowing the Savior and the week that lies ahead, you're not going down into hell for a week or for the weekend or for a couple of days. But my dear friend, can I tell you 1,000 years from now, you'll have no less time to shed your tears than when first you enter there. Maybe tonight you're shouting back in your mind to the preacher and you're saying, preacher, I'm nowhere near as bad as those chief priests. I'm nowhere near as bad as those religious leaders. Can I tell you that the word of God tells us in Romans chapter three and the verse 23, for all have sinned and come short of the glory of God. That includes you and I. Eight billion people in the world tonight, and we all miss God's standards. We all fall far short because of sin. You see, through Adam's fall in the garden, sin entered into the world, and it is passed down through every generation up until this very evening here in St. Faith, and each and every one is affected by sin. The Apostle Paul, he tells us there in Romans chapter five and the verse number 12, wherefore, as by one man, sin entered into the world, and death by sin, and so death has passed upon all men, for that all have sinned. You see, because of sin, my dear friend, tonight you have an appointment with death. James tells us there in James chapter 1 and the verse number 15, sin when it is finished bringeth forth death. We all have that appointment with death. And so we must be ready to enter into eternity. We're told there in Amos chapter 4 and the verse 12, prepare to meet thy God. Wonder my dear friend this evening, have you made that preparation? Can you look back to that time in your life's experience when you put your faith and trust in the risen Lord Jesus? You see, tonight, dear friends, if you're relying upon anything else other than the precious shed blood of Christ, other than His atoning work upon the cross, can I tell you, everything else is futile. Salvation is of the Lord. Here's these chief priests. The Lord Jesus no longer speaks to them. What an awful thing it would be if you're sitting here tonight and you're not saved, if God would cease to speak to you. Let's then consider these chief priests further. Look with me there at verse 31. Verse 31, it says there, likewise also the chief priests mocking said among themselves with the scribes, he saved others, himself he cannot save. Here now Christ is upon the cross. His back has already been ripped open as the Roman flagellum come down upon his back time after time after time. They have taken him out through the city walls, through the gate. They have made their way up to Calvary. And these men have got him, and he's now down upon the cross. They have driven the nails through his hands and through his feet. They've raised the cross up into position. And there the eternal Son of God now hangs for the sin of all humanity between heaven and earth. And we're told that these chief priests, they mock, the Lord Jesus. You see, friends, these men are not relying upon Christ. They're not relying that day upon the blood that was being shed on their behalf. You see, these men are religious leaders. These men are relying upon ritual, upon tradition, and upon heritage. I wonder if that could be said about you this evening. You know, there are so many tonight across our province, and they're just like these religious leaders. You see, there are many tonight across our land, and they too, they're relying on tradition, relying on heritage. But my dear friends, if you're ever going to enter heaven, you're going to have to come and come down on bended knee and acknowledge before God that you have lived that life that has been an offense to the holiness of God. and acknowledge that the only one who can save you is the one who died upon that center cross, the one who shed his precious blood. The hymn writer there could say, O Christ, what burdens bowed thy head, our load was laid on thee. Thou stoodest in the sinner's stead, didst bear all ill for me. A victim led, thy blood was shed. Now there's no load for me. My dear young person, my dear middle-aged person, older person in the meeting tonight, those that are listening online, are you trusting in the blood of Christ this evening? Or like these religious leaders, are you trusting in some tradition, some heritage or some ritual? My dear friends, if you're trusting in your own works, trusting in what you can do will take you down into a lost eternity forever with absolutely no way back. The Apostle Paul there, he tells us in Ephesians chapter 2, the verses 8 and 9, for by grace are ye saved through faith, and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God, not of works, lest any man should boast. You know, whenever you come into the church this evening, and you made your way down to the pew, you didn't shake the pew. You didn't get in below it and see if it would hold you. You didn't see if it was reliable. You simply sat down upon the pew. You know, that's how you get saved. You simply rest your all upon Christ and upon his finished work. What a great day it would be for you if tonight you came and rested your all upon the finished work of God's Son, the Lord Jesus. Tonight's salvation is by grace alone, through faith alone, in the person of Christ alone. Everything else that you trust in is futile. My dear friend, what an awful thing it would be for you to leave the meeting tonight still with your back towards Christ in rebellion and leave the meeting another time still a Christ rejecter. Maybe you're like these religious leaders and tonight you have clothed yourself in a cloak of religiosity. Maybe you can look back to a time in your life whenever you were sent along faithfully, Sunday by Sunday, to Sunday school. You sat under the ministry of faithful Sunday school teachers each and every week. You were brought along to church services. You were brought along to the gospel meeting, week after week. Maybe you've been coming here for years. Maybe you're tuned in online tonight, and you know the gospel oh so well. If there was no gospel preacher here in St. Phil tonight, you could stand up and preach the gospel. You know it oh so well. Tonight, my dear friend, you know your Bible so well, you could debate the doctrines. You could teach theology. You could quote swathes of scripture. And tonight, you know about God, but you cannot call him your father. You know about Christ, but you have never called him your savior. And you know about heaven, but you cannot call it home. You see, if you've never trusted in Christ this evening, my dear friend, you're still on the broad road. And that broad road will take you down into a lost eternity and absolutely no way back. Notice also, that these chief priests, they said, he saved others. Himself, he cannot save. You know, those of us that are saved tonight, we're thankful that we can say, not only has he saved others, we're thankful we can say he has saved many. We're thankful tonight that we can look back to that day in our own life's experience, when we realized that we were lost and guilty before a holy and righteous God. realized that we needed God's great gift of salvation. We came down on bended knee. We asked the Lord Jesus to save us. The night that I did that myself, if you'd have came along and lifted a ton weight off my back, there would have been no more pressure taken off me. My dear friend, the relief that I felt whenever I knew that I was born again of the spirit of God. What a great night it would be for you. if you were to experience His saving grace this evening in your own life. Then, secondly, I want us to see here Pontius Pilate. Look with me there at verses 4 and 5. Verses 4 and 5. And Pilate asked him again, saying, Answer us, thou nothing. Behold, how many things they witness against thee. But Jesus yet answered nothing, so that Pilate marveled. You know, I'm sure that Pontius Pilate had been the judge over many men. I'm sure that Pontius Pilate had condemned many men to the death of the cross. But I don't believe it could be said of any other man that Pilate marveled. You know, not only does it say that Pilate marveled whenever Christ was alive, but it also says that he marveled when he was dead. Look with me there at verse 44. Verse 44 of Mark 15. It says, And Pilate marveled if he were already dead. And calling unto him the centurion, he asked him whether he had been any while dead. That word marveled, it means, it's the Greek word thomazo, and it means to be astonished, to be amazed, to be in wonder. Here's a man, and he has all the authority and might of the Roman Empire in his corner, and yet he sits in his judgment seat amazed at the person of the Lord Jesus. And yet here's this man punches Pilate and he condemns Christ to the cross. One of the questions that Pilate asks that day, we're told it there in Matthew 27 and the verse 22, a question that you know so well. Pilate asks, what then shall I do with Jesus, which is called Christ? What then shall I do with Jesus which is called Christ. Notice he doesn't say, what would you do? He doesn't say, what should they do? No, no, he says, what then shall I do with Jesus, which is called Christ? You see, it's a personal question. It's a personal question, and it's a question that you're going to have to answer this evening. And my dear friend tonight, can I remind you that the answer that you give to this question may well decide your destiny for eternity. For if you leave here tonight still a Christ rejecter, and you go out into eternity without having accepted the Lord Jesus, you're going to be perishing and lost forever. Heaven's gates you will never see, but rather you'll be down in the caverns of the damned in hell, and one day stand before the great white throne that we read of in Revelation 20, to one day be cast into the lake of fire. What an awful prospect lies ahead for the Christ rejecter. Here's Pontius Pilate And that day he gives in to pressure. He gave in to the crowd. He condemns Christ to the cross. And I wonder this evening as you sit in the gospel meeting, you maybe well know your need of salvation. And tonight you know that you need to be saved. But tonight you're going to leave the gospel meeting another time, still not saved. Maybe as you sit in the comfort of your own home tonight, and you're watching the iPhone or the iPad or the television, and you're listening to the gospel preacher, but tonight you're going to switch off the iPad or the iPhone another time, not having accepted Christ. You're too scared to think what the school friends might think. Too scared what the work colleagues might say. Too scared what the neighbors will think. You know, friends, there's an old saying, your friends may laugh you into hell, but they'll never laugh you out. What are you relying upon this evening for eternity? Pilate were told in Matthew that that day he washed his hands. And he thinks that he washed his hands of the whole matter. But you know, friends, water will wash away a lot of things, but there's one thing it won't wash away. Sin. Sin. Tonight you have a sin problem. The only one who can deal with it is the one who gave us life for you and I upon that center cross, upon Golgotha's brow. There's another group of people that I want us to see here in her passage, and it is the Roman soldiers. Look with me there at verse 24. Verse 24. And when they had crucified him, they parted his garments, casting lots upon them, what every man should take. These Roman soldiers, they're the ones that had taken Christ into what Mark tells us here was the praetorium. Matthew calls it the common hall. And there they buffet the Lord Jesus and they smite him and they spit upon him. They pull the hairs from off his face. These are they that made that crown of thorns and beat it down upon his blessed bride. these Roman soldiers. And they take him out through the city gate. They take him out to Calvary. And there he's laid down upon the cross. And as Christ is raised up into position, these men now cast lots for the clothes, the garments of Christ. What are these men really doing? Well, they're really gambling over the garments of the Lord Jesus. Maybe as you sit here in the meeting tonight, you're not going to gamble over clothes tonight, over garments, but you're going to gamble tonight over your soul. Gambling over your soul. And tonight you're maybe saying that, I'll not get saved tonight. I'll get saved next week. I'll get saved at the gospel meeting next Sunday night. but just not tonight. Can I remind you that we're told there in Proverbs 27 and the verse number one, boast not thyself of tomorrow, for thou knowest not what a day may bring forth. My dear unsaved friend in the meeting tonight, you couldn't guarantee me that you could get from the pew to the door, but you'd be out into eternity. You know, there's one thing that I have realized as I have walked through graveyards over the years. It is simply this. You don't need to be old to die. And you don't need to be sick to die. But friend, you must be ready to die. Are you ready? You know, there's many tonight, and if you and I could lift back that cover, On hell, there's many. And they said those very same words that you might be saying. Not tonight, but some night, I'll get saved. But dear friend, that night never came. But death came. Just in an instant. They were out into eternity, unprepared, unrepentant, and unforgiving. And tonight, there's no second chance. There's no way back. And if they had all the goods that this world could offer at their disposal, and they were sitting in the meeting tonight, they would give it all up to have God's great gift of salvation, to be born again of the Spirit of God, to know that their names were recorded in the rule book of heaven. Dear friend, why would you leave the meeting tonight still a Christ rejecter, still on that broad road out to a lost eternity. These men, they gambled over the garments of the Lord Jesus. And all along, the one who hangs upon that center cross, he wants to clothe these men in his imputed righteousness. You see, you and I have no righteousness of our own. We're told there in Romans chapter 3 and the verse number 10, for there is none righteous, no, not one. None righteous. No, not one. But here's the Lord Jesus, and as he hangs upon the cross, he's shedding his precious blood so that you and I could be clothed in his imputed righteousness, made fit and made ready for heaven. But maybe you're saying in your mind tonight, Preacher, you don't know the awful things that I have done. You don't know my awful past, my awful history. You don't know about my sin. Well, that's right, friends, I don't. But I do know that the Lord Jesus says, him that cometh to me, I will in no wise cast out. And if you were to come to him this evening, you'll be forgiven. And tonight you can have salvation, full and free, here in the very seat in which you sit. And can I remind you that he is the only one who can save you. He's the only one who can lift you from that broad road and set you upon that narrow way for heaven and for home. We're told there in Acts chapter four, the verse number 12, neither is there salvation in any other. For there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved. What are you trusting in this evening, friend? What are you relying upon tonight for eternity? If it's anything other than the person and the work of the Lord Jesus. Friends, it is futile. But if death should come, you're going out into a lost eternity. But then again, what if Christ should come tonight? I believe that the next great event in God's prophetic timeline is the rapture of the church. You know, there's nothing needs to happen for Christ to come to the air for his people. He's not coming for a church made up of bricks and mortar, but he's coming for those of us that are redeemed by precious blood. My dear friend, if you're not ready, you're not going to meet the Savior in the air, but you're going to be left behind here on earth to go through that awful time of tribulation. to one day stand before that great white throne and be condemned, be cast into that awful lake of fire. We have considered here this evening the chief priests. They mocked the Lord Jesus. We have considered Pontius Pilate. Whenever he was brought face to face with Christ, he marveled. The Roman soldiers, when they were brought face-to-face with the Savior, they gambled. But then very quickly and finally, I want us to see that there was another man. And under the shadow of the cross that day, when he came face-to-face with the Savior, he was convicted. Look with me there at verse 39. Verse 39. And when the centurion, which stood over against him, saw that he so cried out and gave up the ghost, he said, truly this man was the Son of God. Truly this man was the Son of God. You know this day that I believe was the greatest day in the history of the world. It most likely started out like any other day for this Roman centurion. He maybe awoke quite early in the fortress of Antonia, had his men brought before him, possibly gave them the instructions for the day, told them how there was going to be a number of men that were going to be crucified that day, among them the notorious Barabbas. I wonder, as that morning wore on, did news come to this Roman centurion that Barabbas has been released and another is going to take his place? I wonder, did he say, well, who would take the place of Barabbas? I wonder, did the reply come back, one called Jesus of Nazareth has taken the place of the notorious murderer Barabbas? And this Roman centurion, I wonder did he watch as the Lord Jesus was tied to the scourging pole? The Roman flagellum came down upon the back of the Savior time and time again. Did this Roman centurion begin to realize that there's something very different about this man? I'm sure this Roman centurion saw many men that had been crucified He had saw many men tied to the Scourging Pole, but I wonder did he begin to realise there's something very special, there's something very different about this man. I wonder did he hear a Pontius Pilate as he said, I find no fault in him. I wonder did he hear the thief upon the cross say, this man hath done nothing amiss. I wonder in those dark hours, Did he hear the Savior say, it is finished? And here's this man, this Roman centurion, and now convicted, he says, truly this man was the Son of God. You know, I believe that day that this Roman centurion was saved. I believe we'll see this man in heaven. But what I'm interested in tonight, dear friend, if I never meet you again here on earth, Will I see you in heaven? Tonight, are you going to come and accept the one who died upon that center cross? The one who came to shed his precious blood on your behalf and mine? Or tonight, have you just come along just out of some kind of ritual? Is this what you do every Sunday evening? Make your way along to the gospel meeting? Spend an hour here and make your way home? still tramping the broad road down to lost eternity. Dear friend, make sure tonight that you close on with a message of the gospel and come to know Christ, whom to know is life eternal. There's three points that I always like to bring before the people each and every time I preach the gospel. Three points. Point one is this, man's ruin. You and I are born in sin, shaping in iniquity. Born in that broad road, heading out to a lost eternity. Man's ruin. Must tell you about God's remedy. How God sent his son from glory. How the Lord Jesus came, God manifest in flesh. How he lived an absolutely sinless life. before man and before God, absolutely pure and perfect, never thought one vile thought, said one vile word, committed one vile act, absolutely perfect, before his heavenly Father and before man. I must tell you, dear friends, about man's responsibility. You see, tonight, friend, here in the meeting, you have a responsibility. whether you're going to accept the Savior or whether tonight you're going to reject him once more, the one who died upon the cross for you. In those dark hours, he laid down his life so that tonight you could have eternal life. A young man once came to D.L. Moody. He said to D.L. Moody, if he could preach in Moody's church, young fellow wasn't too old, D.L. Moody agreed that he would let him preach some Sunday evening. The young man came along, and he preached the gospel. After the gospel service was finished, and people were filing out, the young man believed that he had made a good job of presenting the gospel message. But D.L. Moody hanged back to the last, and as he came up to approach the young man at the door, the young man knew that D.L. Moody didn't look too pleased. And he said to D.L. Moody, what did I do wrong? D.L. Moody said, you left Christ upon the cross. You know, dear friend, the one who died upon that center cross is no longer on the cross, and he's no longer in the tomb, for he's risen, exalted, ascended, and seated at his father's own right hand in glory. Tonight he calls unto you, come unto me. All ye that labour and are heavy laden and die will give you rest. You now come to him this evening. Put your faith and trust in him. We're told there in Acts chapter 16, the verse 31, believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and thou shalt be saved. Doesn't say you could be saved or might be saved. Doesn't say there's a possibility you'll be saved. It says, believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and thou shalt be saved. It's sure and certain salvation. It's freely available for you here tonight in St. Fionn. It's freely available for you tonight in the comfort of your own home. If you would simply come to ask the Lord Jesus into your life, acknowledge before God that you have lived that life that has been an offense to the holiness of God. He will forgive you. You'll be born again of the Spirit of God, made right and made ready for heaven. Make sure that tonight, before this day would draw to a close, that you would come to know Christ as your Lord and as your Savior. That was the greatest day in the history of the world, but today could be the greatest day of your life. Tonight you come to know Him as Lord and as Savior. May the Lord bless His word to all our hearts tonight. We're now going to stand and sing our closing hymn, Hymn 310. Hymn 310, is there a heart that is waiting? It says there in verse number four, come to thy only redeemer, come to his infinite love, come to the gate that is leading, homeward to mansions above. After the introduction, if it is convenient, we'll stand to sing, please, and after we have sang this hymn, if you remain standing, and we close our service in a word of prayer.
