Redeemed Without Money

God inspired Isaiah to continue using the captivity and promised release of Israel by foreign nations to illustrate God's redemption in the church age. He gave the church three names: ""Zion"", ""Jerusalem"", and ""his people"". Zion was a citadel of protection for David. It became typical of the Lord's people in the time of and following David. In the period of the prophets ""Zion"" became typical of the church in prophecy.
