Understanding the Ukrainian crisis. The world is at the brink of war. So we are being told by the mass media all the time. Along with the growing crisis over China's threats to invade China, and that's a serious threat. I mean, bear in mind China's got over 2 million soldiers and Taiwan's got not even 200,000. And China's got a lot of nuclear weapons and Taiwan has none. But Red China has been planning to take Taiwan for a long time and threatening and saber-racking and practicing invasions. And they have a tremendous amount of territory, population, weaponry, the largest army in the world. And Free China is Taiwan. The Republic of China in 1949 fled the mainland onto Taiwan because actually the US Congress along with others who were betraying America. The United States government was taking the weaponry that was meant to go to Chiang Kai-shek's Nationalists and was sending it to Mao Zedong's Communists. And so with Stalin's help and with American help, the Communists were able to take the mainland of China. And the Republic of China survives only on the little island of Taiwan, Free China, Republic of China. China's been planning an invasion of Taiwan for a very, very long time. There's only a few beaches which are suitable for beach landings to land trips. The rest of the coast is very rugged, natural defenses, rugged cliffs. And so what with the different terrain obstacles, they have managed to fortify these potential landing areas very effectively. There's no doubt that Taiwan could put up an extremely spirited defense in Caustic China a lot if they try to take it. But it has always been the United States guaranteeing them their protection that has been the best doesn't exist at all. And so over the week, America, and after the Afghanistan withdrawal, China's emboldened to plan for an invasion. So they've been doing more and more aerial encroachments, where they are sending all kinds of fighters, fighter bombers, and other kinds of weaponry over the airspace leading into Taiwan, forcing Taiwan to announce warnings scramble their jets, seek defense, prepare their missile defenses, and then they turn back at the last minute. So they're continually pushing the envelope, going faster and faster, testing the reaction time of the Republic of China, of Taiwan. But at the same time, the world is facing the first real threat of a major war since the Cold War. Possibly evil, including nuclear weapons, between nuclear-armed superpowers. Russia versus Ukraine. In early November of 2021, the world was shocked by the sudden announcement of a massive Russian military buildup along Ukraine's eastern border. Now, bearing in mind that the American Biden administration is not at all interested in protecting their own borders, it's apparently willing to go to war to defend the territorial integrity and sovereignty of Ukraine. So millions of people can pour across the southern border into America, no problem. Biden's got an open border policy. And if you care about America's borders, you are a racist, anti-Semite, Islamophobic, bigot, tinfoil hat wearing, conspiracy theory, believing type of evil person, Ku Klux Klan, or the rest of it, not to mention Nazi. But you must believe in closed schools, open borders, except if it comes to Ukraine. When you look at this sort of breaking news picture, what's the first thing you think about this picture? This is a composite picture. There is no way that those planes are all... I mean, this looks like somebody's been playing CGI, because I don't believe any of these things belong together. I think this is a completely composite picture. So it's a fake picture just to start with. And so under the title of... Even the English is horrific. I mean, what kind of... Well, there obviously isn't an English teacher proofread this. But this is the kind of rubbish that's being broadcast across the Bolshevik Broadcasting Corporation and the Communist News Network. Now this is more meaningful. Here's satellite imagery of Russian forces near the border. Obviously prepared vehicles. Those are long shadows by the way. Obviously they're Northern Hemisphere and right now they've got very short days. and angles of the sun would be quite extreme. In the Baltic, in the Black Sea, of course, the Russians have major sea bases. This, by the way, is the Russian flag. It almost looks resembling the Union Jack because it's got the St. George's cross and it's got the St. Andrew's cross because that's, in fact, St. George is the patron saint of Russia and that's the flag of the Russian Navy. But there's been a lot of movement of Russian more equipment towards the border, and is this a plan for an invasion, or is this a reaction to Ukraine preparing to join the EU and NATO? And so it could be saber-rattling, but certainly the Russians are meaning business, and they, at the very least, are posing a threat. Now the long-simmering territorial dispute over Donbass, which is the eastern region of Ukraine, It's culturally Russian, it's linguistically Russian, it's demographically Russian, but it's become a potential threat for major war between East and West. The American-European leaders are lining up in support of Ukraine. It's President Volodymyr Zelensky, who is not pro-Russian, he's the previous president of Ukraine, who'd been democratically elected, was ousted in a coup organized by the CIA and NATO and riots in the streets. It was completely organized under Obama, 2013, 2014, revolutionary streets. Ukraine's now one of the most corrupt countries on the planet, and Hunter Biden and Joe Biden, they're all involved in this whole scheme in Ukraine. But notice the picture of Zelensky with an EU flag behind him. But Russia's President Vladimir Putin has drawn a line in the sand. Ukraine, he insists, is historically part of Russia's sphere of influence and cannot be permitted to join NATO. Now bear in mind America's had a Monroe Doctrine for a very long time, that no European power is allowed to interfere in the Western Hemisphere in America's. And so they got extremely upset over Russia putting weapons and missiles in Cuba, because Cuba is in their sphere of influence. Well, Putin says this is very similar. And he's drawing the comparison between the Cuban Missile Trust in 1962. The West, in turn, has accused Russia of threatening Ukraine's sovereignty and vowed resolute action, quotes unquote, against Russia, including possible military involvement should Putin invade. I like the word involvement. Let's speak about aggression, invasion, involvement. What does military involvement mean? Are they going to go there to hand out care packages or are they going to drop cluster bombs? President Biden threatened drastic consequences. American center Roger wicker who's one of the rhinos? He's meant to be a Republican of the center arms first forces committee threatened to rain destruction on the Russian military should Putin launch invasion of Ukraine a Campaign that might include nuclear strike since we do not rule out first use nuclear action What an irresponsible comment by American Senate Foreign Relations Armed Services Committee person and a Republican of that. I mean this is the kind of war talk that I've heard in America for almost as long as I've been going there. Highly irresponsible. The Americans are so often eager to bomb countries that can't even find on the map. Dmitry Kisilov, the head of the Russian state-owned news organization Razia Segodya, or Russia Today, or RT as we know it, he told BBC Russia was prepared to deploy more missiles, including its wantonly hypersonic missiles. Hypersonic missiles can go eight times the speed of sound. It boggles the brain. They can cover the distance from Moscow to Washington DC faster than any missile from Cuba ever could. reach Washington. So these hypersonic missiles rushes ahead of the game and they've now got the most advanced nuclear missiles in the world. Not that America didn't have the capability, they just were a bit lax and retarded in deploying and implementing it because of budget cuts or whatever. If Ukraine ever joins NATO, or if NATO develops military infrastructure in Ukraine, we will hold a gun to America's head. We have the military capabilities. Now this is what the head of RT says, but he's a personal friend of Putin. Russia has the best weapons in the world, hypersonic ones. They'll reach America as fast as American or British missiles could ever reach Moscow from Ukraine. It would be the Cuban missile crisis all over again, but with a shorter flight time for the missiles. So this is from the head of RT who is a very serious authority in Russia. Kisilov warned America would be turned into radioactive ash if Russia's conditions are not met. So you got extremely irresponsible, highly volatile threats and counter-threats from both sides right now. And it's all over the Donbass region which most American voters couldn't find on the map. The Donbass region has been part of Russia for centuries. It first rose to international significance in the 19th century as a result of its enormous coal resources. The largest city, Donetsk, was founded by a British industrialist who made a fortune there mining coal. Now after the Bolshevik revolution in 1917, the Donbass region was incorporated in the Ukrainian portion of the Soviet Union. However, its overwhelmingly Russian population and its industrial might has always made it a region a flashpoint of contention. And so in 1654 that was Ukraine. But Ukraine had all this added to it by Stalin, with the green parts, and then it had these purple parts, like that's Crimea, added to it by Khrushchev, who by the way was also Ukrainian, even though he's a dictator. So Vladimir Lenin added the blue parts to Ukraine. So Ukraine has grown way past its historic size and it incorporates a lot of non-Ukrainians actually. The local population is decidedly in favor of independence from the corrupt, kleptocratic, discriminatory Ukrainian government which seems to be in the pockets of the Americans. And even they would support outright annexation by Mother Russia. So you can see that, basically, the areas that are mostly Russian are, of course, wanting to secede from Ukraine and join Russia. If Ukraine is going to go out of alliance with Russia, which they did already in 2014, and they want to align with NATO and the EU, then there's a whole other tangle. In that case, we want to leave Ukraine. We want to rejoin Russia or be an independent country. In March 2014, after the revolutionary overthrow of the elected Ukrainian government, which was in alliance with Russia, And it's been proven that was organized by the American CIA and NATO was involved. They literally organized a revolution in the streets and ousted the democratic elected president. Not the first time that's been done. A separatist war erupted in the region along with Russia's annexation of Crimea, another Russian majority territory. Now I had some people really getting worked up about this saying, how can Russia invaded Ukraine, and I had Americans asking me when I was visiting them in 2014, don't you agree we should bomb Russia for annexing Ukraine? Crimea said, why? It's always been Russian. It's been Russian much longer than Alaska has been American, and much longer than Hawaii has been American, and many other parts of America has been American. They liberated Crimea from the Turks, the Ottoman Turkish Empire. It's got a vastly majority Russian population. something like 80-90% Russian-speaking, why on earth should they not keep Crimea in Russia? And so, after bitter fighting, Russian separatists seized control of most of the Donbass and proclaimed two independent republics, Luhansk and Donetsk. And much of Ukraine is almost entirely ethnic Russian, like the Crimea, Donbass, and Odessa, one of the biggest of the ports on the Black Sea. And so you can see here the actual makeup. The dark red is 80-100% Russian speaking, the dark blue is 100-80% Ukrainian. So you can see the Ukrainian population is primarily in the North and the West, and the Russian is primarily in the South and the East. And naturally, the borders need to be redrawn. And in fact, quite a few already have done. And so Crimea is already separate. So Esetia and Abkhazia and Donetsk, they all have seceded. And there's another group that's seceding right now from Moldova too. So secession is in the air over there. Russia has been increasingly alarmed at the advance of NATO, North Atlantic Treaty Organization, into its backyard, which has seen the amalgamation of many former Soviet republics and Warsaw Pact allies. And so now NATO includes, aside from North America, the United Kingdom, everything from Norway through to Latvia, Lithuania, Estonia, Poland, Czechs, Slovakia, Hungary, Romania, Bulgaria, even Albania. These countries used to be part of the Warsaw Pact and now they're part of NATO. And so Russia's feeling a little spare and a little outnumbered and encircled. Despite previous assurances, when the Berlin Wall came down, the Iron Curtain collapsed and Russia dissolved in 1991 and withdrew their troops in Eastern Europe, there were assurances given by NATO that they would not make any inroads into the Russian sphere of influence. And in the ensuing decades, there have been three Baltic Republics, Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania, Poland, Hungary, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Bulgaria, Romania, many previous regions of the former Yugoslavia all formally joined NATO. So much for promises made back in 1991. Moreover, Ukraine, Moldova, Georgia, Armenia, and Kazakhstan are all beneficiaries of individual partnership action plans or formal cooperative agreements with NATO that might be upgraded to full membership action plans in the future. So this is getting a lot more serious. This means Russia is left with not too many allies in the region, aside from Belarus and eastern Ukraine that's trying to secede from Ukraine. With the exception of China, Finland and Russia's Far East, Russia now finds itself virtually encircled by NATO members or potential members. And nearly all of these new European NATO members have also joined the European Union, the EU. What this is, is nationalism versus globalism. It's understandable that Russia is deeply suspicious of Western motives. The post-Cold War policy of strategic concertedness has left Russia increasingly isolated except for its ally Belarus, and there's not much else out there right now. This map is so out of date because Kazakhstan is now allied with NATO. So how do they compare? Well, you might get the impression that things are like it was in the Cold War. Not at all. NATO outnumbers Russia. Almost three and a half million active troops in NATO. 771,000 Russian active troops. And you can see on all of these, blue being NATO, red being Russia, NATO's got more submarines, more combat aircraft, more main battle tanks, more frigates, more armed fighting vehicles, and they've got 13 aircraft carriers and Russia's only got one aircraft carrier. So Russia's outnumbered on every level convention. The only area where Russia's got a superiority is in its nuclear weapons, 7,300 nuclear weapons. Seems awfully extreme, hard to imagine how they could ever possibly need that many, but anyway. NATO was founded for the express purpose of countering Soviet expansionism during the Cold War. But following the collapse of the Communist Minister of the Soviet Union, in 1991, NATO expanded instead of disbanded. If they disbanded in 1991, it might have seemed reasonable because was NATO needed now that the Soviet menace had been disbanded? But NATO refined its mission to somewhat include even the decades-long war in Afghanistan, which ended so disastrously in mid-last year. What did NATO have to do in Afghanistan? Just as NATO is the most powerful international military alliance ever created, so too is the European Union, the most effective attempt at an economic and political union in history. The European Union, originally created by the deceptively named European Common Market, suggested it was just about economics, free trade and all that, has become an attempt to set up a centralised regional government. And NATO and the EU are almost overlapping. And you can see, it just keeps growing. Now this is just the member states in 2020, but it's even grown since then. And plainly, NATO is a colossal force. And they use their power to bomb Libya and create the chaos that there is in Libya now, with millions of refugees pouring into Europe. Bigger threat than Libya ever was under Gaddafi. and they've used their power to take the Muslim terrorist side in Bosnia and attack the Christian Serbs, bombing the Serbs in what used to be Yugoslavia and fighting the Christians and supporting the Al-Qaeda affiliated Muslim Bosnians. So, NATO has not done very nicely since 1991. They were the good guys before 1991, we're not so sure now. The goal of such continental arrangements is to drastically reduce the number of independent nations and provide for the integration of regional unions, think African Union, European Union, and so on, into a global government. The former American security advisor and globalist, Zbigniew Brzezinski, declared in 1995, we cannot leap into world government in one quick step. The preconditions for eventual globalization genuine globalization is progressive regionalization. Because thereby we can move towards larger, more stable, more cooperative units. So they need an African Union. Remember Thabo Mbeki was talking in the 90s about a United States of Africa. He was dreaming of being the first president. Gaddafi was telling him, I'm gonna be the first president. And Mbeki was gonna be the first president of the United States of Africa. Well, they both were severely disappointed. But this is the goal. They want the organization of American states, they want the European Union, they want the African Union, they want the Asian Union. That's not working too well, but they're working towards this. The EU was working fine, but now there's a whole lot of nationalist forces like Brexit in Britain, very frustrating for them. Regional military alliances, especially NATO, are promoted as a means of internationalizing military force. or centralizing, monopolizing military force in the global hands, to prepare eventual consolidation of regional military alliances into global military as an indispensable ingredient of a consolidated global government. So just like dictators want to get weapons out of the hands of private citizens, the globalists want to get armies out of the hands of nations. You see the progression. They want a classless world society, world communism, Russia remains nationalistic and resistant to assimilation into existing international systems. Russia is very reluctant, to put it mildly, to enter into any type of binding agreement or treaty with any other countries or under any international authority. They've suffered under communism, the last thing they want is globalism. But the ultimate objective of the internationalists is the establishment of a single world government. They've been working at this for a very long time. Most of the actions are guided by the objective of creating political, military, economic conditions favorable to the establishment of a New World Order, or what we call the New World Disorder. Now, all the major innovations of foreign policy since World War II, the establishment of the United Nations, the World Health Organization, or the Wuhan Health Organization, as it's been now called, the World Trade Organization, the IMF, International Monetary Fund, the World Bank, the European Union, all of these would have been unthinkable before World War II, and I believe that they're aiming for a World War III that they can, out of that, bring about a more solid globalization movement. Think of all the good things that came out of First and Second World League of Nations, United Nations, and so they're hoping for a Third World War to bring about the next step. And the formation of permanent international military alliances, especially NATO, have had as their purpose replacing independent nations with world government. And so it's an incremental system. And so this is what's been published. That's nothing to do with us, Frontline Europe. That's the way some media person put it. And the blue representing NATO, the red representing Russia, even though Russia is not exactly red anymore, but still, it makes it look good. And so what they are showing is the deployments, how much they've got on the different sides. And this is the sort of thing being published in Western media right now. They're seriously gearing up for a war between Russia and NATO. Over places that most people can't pronounce or find on the map. Does it really matter if Russians in Eastern Ukraine want to be part of Russia instead of part of Ukraine? I mean, is it any of our business? Why should it be the business of anyone in America? And so, this is what they're fighting over. Now this is the Ukraine flag and this is their capital in Kiev. And this is a British air force, RAF force, taking in heavy weaponry into Ukraine. This is a very dangerous game they're playing right now. And I understand Ukraine wants to defend their territorial sovereignty and integrity, as they should, but they wouldn't be in any threat if they were just minding their own business. It's trying to join NATO and the EU and the Europe that's provoking Russia to say, no, no, we can't allow this. So here's the New American Magazine, one of the finest magazines put out in America. And Charles Schellinger in February the 14th, 2022. How's that for up-to-date news? That's the magazine's date. I must have issued it a little earlier. I've got an e-copy ahead of time. While the partisans of world government have always preferred a peaceful, incremental approach, There can be no doubt that a nuclear war between West and Russia would furnish the ultimate pretext for fast-tracking world government, a pretext they'd certainly not hesitate to exploit should such a war occur. A nuclear World War III would be an unprecedented calamity not only for the lives of millions of people, the fabric of modern civilization, the rest of life on Earth, but also for future generations who would likely face permanent bondage and a world government in which an independent America was only a distant memory. You've seen these dystopian movies, you know, Hunger Games and all that sort of thing. Where does that draw out of? Nuclear war. I mean, the whole idea is you have a chaotic system and then the elite take control and the people are all slaves because and the States is now globalist. Still quoting from New American, American leaders have no sound or moral strategic interest in the broils of Eastern Europe, and it is deadly folly to risk nuclear war and its abysmal aftermath by meddling in quarrels whose moral contours are unclear and whose outcome should be none of our business. The meddling needs to stop. Americans should insist, therefore, that the elected representatives in Congress get the United States out of NATO and the United Nations and adopt a non-interventionist foreign policy." Now, that is not a radical thought. America's first president, George Washington, in his final speech warned against entangling alliances. warned America from ever getting involved in Europe's wars or getting involved in foreign alliances, to keep to its own borders and protect its own areas and not meddle in international affairs. If they'd only listened to George Washington. To think now the term Washington, because they named the capital after the first president, Washington is now synonymous with meddling, interventionist, imperialist. You know, most people don't even know how to spell. And this kind of incessant busybody meddling in other countries affairs. 2 Peter 2 verse 19 can be written not only over a lot of communist governments, but over the US government as well. While they promised them liberty, they themselves are slaves of corruption. And we'll prove it. As Alexander Solzhenitsyn, the greatest Russian author of the 20th century, declared, if we do not know our own history, we will simply have to endure all the same mistakes, sacrifices, and absurdities all over again. Many of my Eastern European friends, and I've got a lot of friends in Eastern Europe, from working behind the Iron Curtain with Bill Bassman before the walls came down and after as well, they think the American government is extremely hypocritical, to put it nicely. considering that the US government betrayed over 100 million Christians in Eastern Europe countries, including Ukraine, to Stalin's Soviet Union through the Yalta Agreement of 1945. Ukraine was freed by Germany in 1917, and this independence was recognized by Vladimir Lenin's Soviet Union in the Brest-Litovsk Treaty of March 1918. The German and Austrian armies had advanced this far into what was then the Soviet Union, because the Bolshevik revolution occurred in 1917. And they had won all these battles, they were very far into Russia, the whole of Ukraine had been liberated. And so, breast of the toss, the present day boundaries of Eastern Europe were basically silenced. It's funny how today's boundaries look very much like they looked on the map that Germany got the Soviet Union to agree to in 1918. Here they advanced this far into Russia and you can see here the Brest-Litovsk required Finland to be recognized as independent, Latvia, Lithuania and Estonia to be recognized as independent, Belarus to be recognized as independent, Ukraine to be recognized as independent and also Georgia and the Trans-Caucasian Mountains. So very interesting. that if you look today, you can see what these men decided. And by the way, unlike the Versailles Treaty, you can see the Russians, the Austrians, the Germans, and the Hungarians are all sitting down around the same table, which is not the way it works out in Versailles. In five languages, the treaty was signed and agreed. And here you can see the new states of Finland, Latvia, Lithuania, Estonia, Ukraine, all recognized. In fact, just look at the modern day map of Europe, and you can see that After all the meddling of the West, it's gone back to what Brest-Litovsk agreed. Independent Finland, independent Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, independent Ukraine, independent Georgia. So, how about that? However, the Allies at the Versailles Treaty betrayed the Ukraine back into the hands of the Soviet Union. Many millions, over 10 million Ukrainians were slaughtered, first Lenin's and then Stalin's brutal purges. The kulaks were the farmers. Dekulakization was presented as land reform, or expropriation of compensation to use a more modern term. The official state newspaper Pravda, which means truth, declared in order to eliminate the kulaks as a class, the resistance of this class must be smashed in open battle. It must be deprived of the productive source of its existence and development. The free use of land, instruments of production, land renting, right to high labor, etc. This is the term towards the policy of eliminating the kulaks as a class. In other words, eliminating the farmers. Think of, kill the farmer, shoot the farmer. Think of this, this is where it starts. Kill the kulak, smash the kulak, destroy the kulak. Declare war on the kulak. Kulak is just a word for farmer in Russian. This is a very unsubtle poster. Notice the hammer and sickle. What's the hammer smashing? The head of what they've depicted as a farmer. So, under the decolonization policy, 18 million peasants lost their homes and their farms. Millions were deported to Siberia. Here's an American newspaper at the time, 6 million perished from Soviet famine. Well, that was just at one time. It's now more like 11 million recognized to have died as a result. Hunger, despair, death in Ukraine, agony. This is in Chicago, America. Funny how they all forgot that somewhere along the line. Here's the KGB uncovering people hiding grain. Imagine that, farmers hiding grain. Why would they hide their grain? Well, because the communists were coming around and confiscating it all to starve them to death as a matter of policy. Now, wouldn't you want to hide some food to keep yourselves alive through winter? Up to 11 million Ukrainians died in the massacres that resulted in man-made famine and starvation between 1929 and 1936. People in Kiev, capital of Ukraine, people have just fallen down dead on the sidewalk. Dead bodies, massive, huge, colossal. The famine came to be known as the Holodomor, also known as the Great Famine, the Ukrainian Genocide from 1932 to 1933. People literally starved to death. The word Holodomor means death by hunger, to kill by hunger, or to starve to death. The Holodomor, therefore, is a compound of the Ukrainian words holod, meaning hunger, and more meaning plague, hunger plague. And this is one of the memorials in Ukraine to the Holodomor, the victims of the Holodomor, which they count as about 11 million. The 2017 film Bitter Harvest dramatized the horrors of the Soviet Holodomor in the Ukraine. Well worth seeing, it's in our library. Bitter Harvest produced by Ukrainians who now live in Canada. I wonder if some of them are part of the truckers freedom convoy. Ukraine was again liberated by Germany in World War II, but then betrayed by the Allies through the Altikring back into the bloodstained hands of Stalin's Soviet Union. Look at these enthusiastic Ukrainians welcoming the Wehrmacht coming into the Ukraine to free them from the hate of the Red Army and the Commissars. And the people went wild, chopping down Boston monuments to Lenin, and you can see the expansion of the new Europe in to liberate the people of the Soviet Union. As our friends in Eastern Europe point out to us, without the extravagant support of the United States and the United Kingdom and Canada, Stalin's Soviet Union would not have survived Operation Barbarossa in 1941. Even before America entered World War II officially, vast quantities of military hardware were being flown, shipped, and trucked into Russia via Alaska, Persia, and Mansk. At the beginning of Operation Barbarossa, 22 June 1941, Germany faced a Soviet army of 5.7 million. The Soviet Union had 316 divisions, 117,000 artillery pieces, 25,000 tanks and 18,000 combat aircraft. Against this, the Wehrmacht at this time had only 5,200 tanks in all of Europe. of which 3,350 were committed to the Eastern Front. This gave the Soviets a more than 7 to 1 advantage in armor. And the Soviet tanks were bigger and thicker, and had bigger guns too. The Luftwaffe had just over 4,000 aircraft to oppose the 18,700 aircraft of the Soviet Air Force. Operation Barbarossa was the largest military operation ever launched to that date. It was fought over 2,900 km front, Just think of how far it is, I mean think if you've driven 2,900 kilometres. It involved 600,000 motor vehicles, 750,000 horses for the German and European volunteers of this operation to liberate Russia from communism and end Soviet threat to Europe. And they had, it was a pre-emptive strike because the Soviets had massed vast amounts of their army on the borders. They were obviously preparing to invade Europe and Operation Barbarossa was an essential pre-emptive strike because while The Russians thought Germany was preoccupied with the West, they could get away with breaking in through the back door. The communist threat, the need to respond, these are some of the posters and pictures at the time published in Signal. Norwegians, French, Belgians, Swedes, all recruited from all over Europe. The first truly European army, long before NATO. Volunteers came from as far as Spain and South Africa. In the first day, one quarter of the Soviet Union's air force was destroyed. The German blitzkrieg tactics devastated the Red Army and made stupendous progress across the vast territories of Russia. I mean, Russia stretches over 11 time zones. It's a fairly big country. They met great, enthusiastic people, welcoming them as liberators. I think you can see these people don't look afraid. In the first few months of the war, over 3 million Red Army soldiers had been taken prisoner of war. 3 million gave up surrender. And many joyfully, some joined the Wehrmacht to fight against the Red Army. And they kept going deeper in. And the logistics must have been a phenomenal challenge. And the Russian winter coming. And they were almost at Moscow. Almost, almost, almost at Moscow. What no one could have anticipated was the vast amount of aid that the Soviet Union would receive from the United States of America, and later Britain and Canada as well. Well before Pearl Harbor, America was committing billions of dollars worth of high-tech weaponry to the Soviet Union, secretly. On the 24th of June 1941, six months before the Pearl Harbor attack, President Roosevelt held a press conference in which he announced that America would give all possible aid to Stalin's Soviet Union. Why? The arsenal of democracy, they called it. Trick question. In what way was the Soviet Union a democracy? The idea was not at first well received within the United States. An opinion poll conducted in July, for example, found 54% of Americans were opposed to aiding the Soviet Union. I don't know what the others were thinking. Roosevelt persisted over it and vast branches of aid continued to flow. And in order to get more aid to Russia, they invaded a neutral country, Iceland. Iceland was totally neutral. They were invaded first by Britain and handed over to the United States to use as a port to help for their aid going to Murmansk to aid the Soviet Union. There were three main routes by which military aid to Russia or the Soviet Union could be delivered. The Arctic convoys to Murmansk, which is why they need Iceland, and Arkansas were by far the most dangerous. More than 50% of the supplies went by ship by the Pacific. American cargo ships flying the flag of the Soviet Union steamed into Vladivostok. Unloaded supplies were transported across the Trans-Siberian Railroad to Soviet assembly plants in the Urals, or directly to the front line. Despite Germany's protest, the Allied Tokyo, Japan, allowed the shipments to the Soviets to continue unhampered throughout the war. Not much of an ally. In 1941 the Allies also opened a corridor through Iran, what then was Persia, into Russia. They invaded an independent country, again not just Iceland but Persia, to get more aid to the Soviet Union. This was made possible because of the far-sighted completion of the Trans-Iranian Railroad, which linked the Persian Gulf to all points all over Iran, including the Russian border. The British and Soviets engaged in a joint operation to overthrow the Shah, and seize control of Iran in the strategic railroad. You wonder why Iran is a bit fed up with the West. The West has been causing revolutions and coups and invasions of Iran for a very long time. Allied forces sweep on in Iran. Little resistance is encountered in Persian invasion, and so on. Allied convoys from the Americas could sail around the Cape of Good Hope and load the cargos at ports in Iran and Iraq and that route was responsible for delivering 25% of the total supply sent to Russia and actually a fairly short route into the heart of Russia. Also part of the Pacific patch was the Alaska-Siberian convoy route known by the acronym ALSEB, which was used primarily for from American factories flying the aircraft bombers and fighters into Russia where the Russians could use it. And so they called it Lend-Lease. It was very deceptive. There's no lending, there's no leasing, it was just giving. Fighting fit in the factory. Official list of military hardware supplied by the United States to the Soviet Union from 1941 includes 13,713 tanks and armored fighting vehicles. Arsenal for Democracy, see the American flag. all going to the Soviet Union. So much for democracy. So much for freedom. And here in the Soviet Union are American tanks, like the Lee Sherman tank and the Crusader tank from Britain. And here you've got a Lee Sherman tank in Soviet colours. And here they are invading Europe with tanks provided by the British, including this is the Churchill tank. And, of course, they got shot down a lot. 14,795 military aircraft. The arsenal for democracy. America's flying some of the finest bombers and fighters in the world to the Red Army. And would you expect to see American fighter planes with a Russian star? Published in Life magazine, that is. And here you have nice American aircraft, all with a red star. 77,000 Jeeps. 375,000 trucks. It just boggles the brain. Ford, General Motors, 35,000 motorcycles, 8,000 tractors, 15,000 artillery pieces, 131,000 heavy machine guns, 1,981 locomotives, 90 cargo ships, four and a half million tons of food supplies, over a billion dollars of machines and equipments in addition. and 2.6 million tons of petroleum products, 49,000 tons of leather, 3.7 million tires, 15,000 pairs of army boots, 106,000 tons of cotton. That's a lot of cotton. Building equipment value is over $10 billion. Non-iron metals, another 102,000 tons. along with 29 tankers, 433 combat ships. The US provided 2 million tons of petroleum products, as well as mobile bridges and railway equipment, aircraft ready equipment, and anything else they could think of. They also delivered 470,000 tons of explosives. 1.4 billion rounds of small arms ammunition, 21 million rounds of ammunition, 37 mil and larger. Raw materials delivered enough for the Soviets to load more than 60 million artillery shells. In America, that's not enough. They still send another 270,000 tons of rolled steel, enough to manufacture 15,000 T-34 tanks. And by the way, the T-34 is not a Russian design, it's an American design. The American tank designer, Christie, designed it in the water park in the 1930s, handed the whole design and everything and all the equipment needed over to Soviet Union back in the 30s, really. For the T-34, the most famous tank in the Second World War, to be made by the Soviets, not even a Russian design. All the U.S. effort resulted in an immense quantity of war materials delivered to the Soviet Union. The American aid can be broken down to three categories, weapons, support items, and raw materials. In terms of major weapon systems, U.S. delivered over 11,000 foreign aircraft, 7,000 tanks, 5,500 40mm anti-aircraft guns, 1,000 quad-mounted .50 caliber anti-aircraft guns, 2,581 millimetre mortars, 137,000 .45 calibre submachine guns, like the Thompson machine guns. And they dare to call this the arsenal of democracy. That's not the way the Ukrainians, Latvians and Lithuanians see it. The Americans' provision of all of this just expanded, including 3,600 miles of railway track. Can you believe it? And it just carries on and on. Cotton, cloth, right down to 50,000 hair clippers and 257 million buttons. This doesn't include the very generous aid sent by Great Britain to the Soviet Union. Great Britain, who you would have thought needed every tank they had, the way they put it, but they could still give 5,218 tanks to Russia. 5,511 Bofors anti-aircraft guns. 5,000 tanks and 12,000 minesweepers, even 5,800 aircraft, which included 3,300 hurricanes and 1,000 Spitfires. These were the best fighter planes of the war. They gave them to the Soviet Union. Britain sent 1.7 billion dollars worth of supplies to Stalin's Soviet Union. Canada supplied the Soviet Union with another 2,700 tanks and armored fighting vehicles, a million artillery shells, over 208,000 tons of wheat and flour. There is no doubt that without the Western aid, the Soviet Union wouldn't have been able to survive a year. That was their biggest weakness. They didn't have the industry to support their army. And after all they lost in the first few weeks of the war with Germany, they were doomed. Without the Western aid, the Soviet Union would have fallen. We would have had no communist threat. to cause the Cold War or to have threatened our country for that matter. Russian historian Boris Sokolov wrote in 1998, Lend-Lease was the decisive factor in the Soviet ability to continue the war. The Soviets would have had to give up by the end of 1941 or earlier if it hadn't been for Lend-Lease, so-called Lend-Lease, which, by the way, Salafi paid for. Do you know that the Salafi prime minister at the time was the most popular Salafi prime minister in history? General James Barry Herzog, also Judge James Barry Herzog, a veteran of the Anglo-Boer War. He refused to declare war on Germany. Now he had been five times elected, Prime Minister Southgate beaten, smacked five times in elections. He was unassailable, he was the most popular Prime Minister ever, and in 1939 He said, no, Germany is not an enemy, not a threat to us, and not even a threat to Great Britain. So why should we declare war on Germany? So he refused. He was ousted in a coup led by Jan Smuts, who had lost the last five elections. And he became prime minister without any elections until he was ousted in 1948. So from 1939, without being elected, without a referendum, Jan Smuts just became dictator of South Africa. Now these are the democracies. Nobody elected Churchill, prime minister of Britain. He just slipped into post in Chamberlain and resigned for a debacle in Norway, which Churchill was responsible for as the first Lord Admiralty. So Churchill wasn't elected. Smuts wasn't elected. Nobody elected Joseph Stalin, you can be sure of that. So who are these big democracies they're talking about, say? And by the way, what was the first thing that Smuts did? He sent all the gold in South Africa, 20 million pounds of gold, to Simonstown to be secretly loaded onto the USS Quincy, an American battle cruiser which had been sent here by express orders of Franklin Delano Roosevelt to collect all the gold in South Africa. Our secret agreement never ran through Southern Parliament, not known by the Southern population, not in the history books. Had to read that in the American history book by Patrick Buchanan that Smuts sent all South Africa's gold to America and only when the gold arrived in America did the weapons flow to Britain and to Soviet Union. So South Africa paid for... America didn't give much away. They got Britain to give everything they had away and they managed to get them to give away vast amounts of things like the different islands that they've got in Indian Ocean and elsewhere. They got Britain to hand all their gold over, hand over everything, sign over everything they could. In fact, Wrigley, FDR would say, you're not broke yet, there's lots more money here and he basically shook down the British Empire and bankrupted the British Empire. This whole idea of America being the great ally helping Britain, they got filthy rich on it and it took all South Africa's gold as well. South Africa helped fund the saving of the Soviet Union. The British also formed a unit that fought in, actually directly for the Soviets in 1941. The first British deliveries include personnel and all 40 Hurricanes of the 151st Wing of the RAF. And from 11th of September to the 18th of October 1941, these British pilots flew missions over Mimans to protect the Arctic convoys coming in. And after training the Soviets to fly their planes, the RAF personnel returned to England, where the commander was awarded the Order of Lenin by the Soviet ambassador. I don't know which British pilot would want to wear an Order of Lenin. The colossal American military aid shipped to start the Soviet Union was neither morally defensible nor was it wise. We're talking about hundreds of trillions of dollars. Actually, if you convert it to present-day money. Capitalist America effectively salvaged communist dictatorship in the Soviet Union from collapse and helped fund, fuel, and arm the greatest military threat to Western civilization. the Soviet Union. And so this has been documented. For example, this man was a major in the US Army Air Corps, Major Jordan, documented the amount of illegal things being supplied to the Soviet Union. And his life was ruined. by him bringing out these facts after the war, because there's so many communists in the government of Truman straight after the war, that because he brought out the facts, they basically destroyed his life and his career. 2 Chronicles 19 verse 2 says, should you help the wicked and love those who hate the Lord, therefore the wrath of the Lord is upon you. There's no doubt, the Western democracies have aided the wicked. If you wonder why we're in trouble today, The Ukrainian army continued to fight for their freedom and independence, but 10 years after the conclusion of World War II, as late as 1955, units of the Ukrainian army were in the field, in company level, fighting even with artillery, fighting the Soviet occupation, but they never received any support from allies. They didn't get any of those bullets, boots, bandages, or bombs, or buttons from Lenin who are fighting the Communists. So why should they believe that the Western governments today really have their best interests at heart? Freedom Betrayed, which is written by President Herbert Huber, documents the treacherous role played by the United States under FDR in fomenting the Second World War, in escalating the Second World War, in bailing out and supporting the worst mass murdering dictatorship in the world, Stalin's Soviet Union, and in betraying 15 nations of Eastern and Central Europe, with over 100 million Christians, to the hideous oppression of communist Russia and its NKVD secret police. But that's not all. It gets even worse, if you can imagine. At the end of the war, there was a secret. They called it Operation Kill, and it was sealed for 30 years. The facts only came out in 1975. One of the first books I read that shocked me, I remember reading this specific book the last introduction by Hugh Trevor Roper, and two million Russians and a million Ukrainians, three million East Europeans, betrayed into the hands of the Soviet Union. Now this included Ukrainians and Russians who had fought like the Cossacks on the side of the Germans against the Russians, but not only them, their families and civilians and even The children who were born in Europe, in Western Europe, had never been the Soviet Union, because their parents fled the Bolshevik revolution. But all Russians and Ukrainians in the western part of Europe were rounded up under deception and forced at bayonet point. Beaten, shot, bayoneted, British and American troops forced three million Russian and Ukrainian civilians across the border into Russia, and this forcible repatriation, to put it mildly, was so hideous. I mean, here they're breaking up an Orthodox church service, people having a last service, and the British got impatient. This is in Austria, you can actually see from the Alpine background, and it said that mothers were throwing their babies into the icy Danube River rather than having them to be brought up as atheists and abused in the Soviet Union. And as the British were herding them across the bridges into the hands of the Soviets, some were being put in cattle trucks and shipped off to work in Alta Kelholz of the Gulags in Siberia. But many were just being shot out of hand right there, like most of the men. And so they said they could hear the machine guns going all day. And it didn't stop them every day, herding more Russians and Ukrainians who were crying and pleading with them. And can you imagine? I mean, these things came out later. And we fought for democracy and freedom, they say. I also fought for democracy indeed. Yolta, the price of peace. If that's the price of peace. Now, Yolta is a swear word in Eastern Europe. When I started doing Bible smuggling behind an iron curtain to Eastern Europe in the 80s, I was shocked to meet people in Eastern Europe referring to, why did you betray? No, you're Westerners. We fought for the British, we were on the side of the Soviets, and we thought we were fighting for freedom. I'd never heard of the things that they were talking about, but the Christians in East Europe didn't have the same perspective of the good guys won, and freedom, and peace, and democracy, and all that stuff. So Yalta is a real swear word, and boy did I learn a few things there. of millions of Christians betrayed behind the Iron Curtain, the biggest obstacle course on Earth, from Stettin in the north down to Trieste in the south, from Trieste to Stettin, Iron Curtain, and all the great nations of Central Europe behind it, and 1,800 communist concentration camps, death camps, which chewed up 40 million lives in the Gulag. By partnering with Stalin to defeat Roosevelt and Churchill, gave communism legitimacy and provided the essential support that prevented the Soviet Union from collapsing as Operation Barbarossa, one of the most spectacularly successful military operations in history, was launched. Worse, by ceding to the Soviet dictator's territorial demands, they betrayed the very principles of universal self-determination that they promised in the Atlantic Charter. How can you justify betraying all these people under communism for over 45 years? By November 1943, secret commitments by the Allies at the Tehran Conference constitute, in the words of the President Herbert Hoover, the greatest blows to human freedom in the century. However, no aid was supplied to the Ukrainian freedom fighters or the Lithuanian forces who were battling the most brutal dictatorship in the history of the world. Forgive our friends in Russia and Ukraine who are sceptical. The Black Book of Communism provides further documentation of the systematic extermination of the farmers in Ukraine, which was once called the Great Basket of Europe. So our friends in Ukraine are extremely cynical about what NATO, the EU and the US are involved in now, interfering in this Ukrainian-Russian conflict, which wouldn't be a conflict if they hadn't caused a revolution there in 2013-2014, toppled an elected government, and installed a corrupt puppet who they're using to enrich the Biden-Democrats base in America. I mean, just think of the Hunter Biden links with this corrupt Ukraine government. Our Russian friends point out that there's no way that Vladimir Putin can allow Russia's vital ice-free port in Crimea to fall out of control with the Russian Federation. Most of their warships are there. is up in the Arctic Circle, way up there, under ice most of the year. Bloody Bastok is often frozen. Bloody Bastok over here on the Pacific. They're frozen with ice most of the year. So the Russian Navy's main ice-free ports are in the Crimea. To compare what's at stake, consider what Americans would think if California, with a strategic San Diego naval base, or Virginia with Norfolk, a strategic naval base, were to secede and affiliate with Russia. How acceptable would that be? Patrick Buchanan has dealt with the consequence of short-sighted policies and double standards in his books, A Republic, Not an Empire, and Churchill, Hitler, and the Unnecessary War, How Britain Lost the Empire and the West Lost the World. Russia today produces more oil than any other country in the world. With the price of oil, that translates to massive earnings. Russia is now the second largest oil exporter in the world, whereas the United States has the largest oil imports on Earth, followed by China. That's the biggest. Oil imports. Russia today produces more natural gas than any other country. Russia supplies 34% of Europe's natural gas requirements, and Europe heats a lot of their homes with natural gas. They think central heating is essential everywhere. While the United States' debt is greater than its gross domestic product, they're living beyond their means. Russia's debt is only about 8% of its gross domestic product. A lot healthier. Much better if you live within the United States. While the United States has a trade deficit of more than $500 billion a year, Russia consistently runs a large trade surplus. In other words, they export more than they import. America imports more than they export. Not healthy. While the United States unemployment is officially 7.4%, Russia's unemployment is around 5.4%. Since Vladimir Putin became President of Russia, the Russian GDP has more than doubled. Today, Russia's rate is the sixth largest economy on earth, and they've joined the G7, which they didn't qualify for before. Industry in Russia has grown over 75% the last 18 years. Investments have increased by 125%. The average salary in Russia has increased about 800%. I don't think any of us can say that. The middle class has grown from 8 million to 55 million, and people living below the poverty line have decreased from 30% in the year 2000. Putin came to power in 1999. It was down to 14% by 2008. I don't have a more recent stat than that. Russia has also added over 570 metric tons of gold to their reserves over the last decade, and it's pretty serious when the Russians are warning the Americans about the dangers of socialism. Christians in Russia have expressed their shock at how America has become the new evil empire. America is now seen as a country promoting abortion and privileges for perverts, an aggressive pro-homosexual agenda, and bullying African governments to legalize abortion and homosexuality, and sending generous aid to radical Middle Eastern governments which severely persecute the Christian Church. Xavier Lerma of Pravda in Moscow writes, Ronald Reagan called the Soviet Union the evil empire, and rightly so. The Soviet Union was the Russian people held hostage by the communists. Putin and Reagan listened to Alexander Solzhenitsyn. Those who listen to elders tend to be wiser. Vladimir Putin allows Christianity to flourish, unlike the liberals in America who have their own warped idea of freedom from God and a denial of the existence of evil in the world. There is a reason why most public schools in America do not teach the Bolshevik Revolution and its true consequences. There are people in the West that want to remove everything related to Christ from public view, just as the communists did during the Soviet enslavement of Russia. 21st century Russia is proof that Christianity can prevail against darkness and confusion. Today, the liberals who control the West fear Putin, as though doomsday was tomorrow. It's not a nuclear threat, but rather a spiritual renewal that threatens them. It's not Putin, but Russia's Christianity they fear. Rather to Christ they truly fear hate. They try to persuade Americans by scaring everyone with ideas of Putin as the evil KGB out to destroy the world. Now, notice, the same liberal left media who loved Russia when it was communist, who were always justifying Russia. You know, the reason why Russia's got to occupy Poland and East Germany and Hungary, well, they need natural barriers and protections from Europe, you know. But now, they're not even allowed to protect their own backyard. So, funny, when Russia was communist, all these liberals defended them. And now that they're Christian, all these liberals hate them. Notice, this is Putin's room for his cabinet. On the wall is a prominent picture, an icon of Christ. Now, I'm Protestant, I don't go for pictures depicting our Lord, but he's Russian Orthodox, and it says something. There's no hammer and sickle on the wall, picture of Lenin or Marx, it's an icon of Christ. That makes a statement, don't you think? He is considered a respected member of the Russian Orthodox Church. By the way, you can Google Vladimir Putin's testimony, see what you think. as he testifies to how his father was an atheist, a hardcore communist party man, his mother was a dedicated but secret Christian, who secretly baptized him, Vladimir Putin, when he was a baby, and kept a cross that was dedicated at that time, which he pulled out, and I've worn this cross ever since I came to Christ in the 1990s. life-threatening experience, I think house caught fire and so on, and that he's worn his cross ever since he converted to Christ. He said, I was an atheist, I believe in communism, and so on, and how he's come to his mother's faith. Anyway, you listen to his testimony and see whether you think it's a genuine testimony that he's really trusting Christ and it's a personal conversion experience. It sounds pretty interesting to me. It's certainly better than anything I've ever heard from Biden or Obama. Still quoting from They demonize Putin because it's not our world, but their liberal world that is in danger of being destroyed. How can conservative media sources in America, who claim to be Christian, ignore their Christian brothers in Russia, who are now successful? Martyrs they ignore, the blood that was shed to restore the Russian church in Russia. Their con artists claim the conservative side as fools, while the liberals enslave the rest. Devout Russian Christians are on the march, not like the Communist Soviet Union who spread wars like Obama and the US are doing now. These Russians are like disciples of Christ who lovingly reach out to their brothers and sisters, helping men and women in darkness, enslaved by materialistic society who are truly in need of Christ. Xavier Lerma writes that the reason why West media are demonising President Vladimir Putin and Russia is because they have passed laws threatening penalties for propagating homosexuality amongst minors for insulting people's religious convictions in public. It's because of the anti-blasphemy laws, because of the anti-LGBT laws. The only country in the world that legalised gay marriage, sadly, South Africa is the only country in the continent of Africa to legalise homosexual marriage. The so-called Gay Propaganda Bill in Russia introduces fines for propaganda of non-traditional sexual relations to minors, including in the media, on the internet, and via viral adverts. They don't have these kind of marches in Russia. Not allowed. Under this new law, lesbian, gay, bisexual, transvestite rallies are prohibited. Distribution aimed at forming non-traditional sexual morality in children is prohibited. Gay flags prohibitive and all rest and by the way, they won't allow gays to come and adopt Russian children either and things like that all of which has sent the liberal left into apoplexies in the West. Fines and imprisonments are prescribed for the propagation of homosexuality in Russia. The All-Russia Public Opinion Center shows that 88% of Russians support this amendment to the law. And this is a pro-family rally in Red Square. Today there's probably more Marxists in the faculties of American elite colleges than all of Russia and Eastern Europe combined, which is true. One of the jokes heard in Russia is that Yeltsin came out and saw his supporters smashing a statue of Lenin. He said, stop, haven't you learned anything from the capitalists? You can sell these statues to the Americans. And that's not a joke. There's American universities like Berkeley who bought up Lenin statues that were toppled in Russia and installed them on the campuses in America. It's now an incredible irony that religious freedom is under assault by the United States Democratic Party and government while the Russian government's printing Bibles is placed in the tell rooms. We used to smuggle Bibles into Russia. It's an incredible reversal of fortunes that the countries behind what used to be the Iron Curtain now have some of the most dynamic Christian churches and the highest percentage of church attendance in Europe. It would appear that Western decadence, immorality, materialism, compromise, superficiality in churches, and shallow, sensational entertainment have been more deadly to the church than virulent atheist propaganda and vicious communist persecution. Today there are more evangelical, born-again Christians in Russia than any other country in Europe. And Ukraine is the second largest group of evangelical Christians in Europe, followed by Romania. And so, how tragic. This almost reminds you of the first and second world war, where the globalists are trying to orchestrate a war between two Christian peoples. Russia and Ukraine are solidly and 80% Christian. Why would we want to set Christians fighting against Christians? When Russians enjoy more religious freedom in public than Americans, then there's something seriously wrong. When Russians express their concern about lack of freedom and spiritual descent in America, we should be very concerned. In Russia, churches are growing. There were 50,000 churches in Russia when Stalin, when Lenin took control. There were less than 200 when Operation Barbarossa launched in 1941. Today, there's over 30,000 just Orthodox Russian churches and thousands of others. Russian churches are on the march, they're growing strong. What I suggest is that President Biden and Vladimir Putin should be put in a ring together and made to sort this out amongst themselves. And then we'll accept the results of the war by them doing, you know, why don't we do a David and Goliath thing? So, you know, Biden, come in, you sort out Putin, and we'll accept the results. Micah 6 verse 8 says, He has shown you, O man, what is good. What does the Lord require of me but to do justly, to love mercy, and to walk humbly with your brother? Finally, brethren, pray for us that the word of the Lord may run swiftly and be glorified just as it is with you, that we may be delivered from unreasonable and wicked men for not all have faith. At this time, we should especially be praying for the many millions of Christians in Russia and Ukraine. The truth sets us free. That's why it's absolutely essential that we know the truth of history to recognize the lies of propaganda. We need to study the truth in the Bible so that we can be freed from the deceptions of the world. You shall know the truth, and the truth shall set you free. Should you help the wicked and love those who hate the Lord, because of this the wrath of the Lord is upon you. So, questions, comments, complaints, criticisms? I'm just thinking about the implications for us, like how should we think, and if one goes back to this slide of how America supplied Russia with weapons, Like the Bible says, if your enemy is hungry, feed him. So, you know, but I think it's very irresponsible. But you're not talking about food. It's very irresponsible to give them options instead of giving them a lot of food, which might even, which is a much better thing to do. And even better, give your enemy a Bible. That's what we've been doing, taking Bibles to enemies. That's where our mission really began. Conviction of South Columbia. Here we are, praying for our country, being under attack by Russians and Cubans. And I thought, they're sending bombs and limpet mines and rockets to us, landmines. Have we ever sent Bibles to Russia or to Cuba? That's really when we start to pray for enemies. But we need to go to our enemies. We need to take the Gospel. But that was really the beginning of our mission's vision. Other comments, questions? Didn't Putin clamp down on the Christian churches lightly? He has clamped down on some of what are considered cults. But you must understand Russia is a nationalistic, Russian Orthodox country. And after the Berlin Wall came down there was a tremendous... the Yeltsin years were chaotic. From 1991 on, it was like every cult poured in there, prosperity cults, all sorts of nonsense. I'm not just talking about Jehovah's Witness and Mormons, they're nothing, they're mild. It's the materialistic, name it, claim it, and frame it, prosperity cult characters. It shocked and offended the Russians, who saw it as just materialistic decadence. And so they have clamped down on some of that sort of thing. But they're not trying to clamp down on Bible-preaching Christians, although they definitely are a Russian Orthodox country, and there's a lot of, you know, that is the state church in many ways. So, friends of mine have worked in Russia, and in St. Petersburg and Moscow, so there's no problem with them practicing the faith, sharing the gospel, just reading tracts in the street, but they said the ones who they clamped down on really were outrageous. They were shocking the sensibilities and even the sense of fear of God of the local people. You can just imagine a lot of what's done by, you think of some of the megachurches in Cape Town. If they went to Russia, it would be shocking. You know, drums, and long hair, and tattoos, and going berserk, and strobe lights. This isn't honoring God. So yes, they're not tolerant of what they consider unacceptable religious displays. But remember, they're clamping down on pornography and perversion as well. So it's not the same egalitarian libertarianism that you're going to get in America. But they don't want that. They don't want that chaos. They want more order. So the Russian government hosted, several years ago, and in fact we had some people from South Africa go to a family conference. Inside the Kremlin, a thousand delegates representing over a hundred countries, including Saudi, and just promoting family, promoting life and big families. It was very pro-Christian. And, you know, just could you imagine such a thing being hosted by the US government or the Saudi government? So, yes, they are making the stand. They're not afraid to crack down things. They're not believing everything should be legal. So maybe they are not being as tolerant of some variations of Christianity as we might be. But on the other hand, they're not having the same aberrations we're having either. Looking at the amounts of pay that was given to Russia and America, you don't come up with that in a week. well observed. In Freedom Betrayed, President Herbert Hoover's book, which was suppressed for well over 60 years by the way, but Herbert Hoover's book, Freedom Betrayed, Secret History of America's Involvement in the Second World War and its Aftermath, Herbert Hoover documents how FDR was already putting America on a war footing in the 30s. And they were building up vast amounts of weaponry and modernizing. And so this presents an It's not true. And really, in 1939, they were going really heavily advanced on converting a lot of the factories from civilian products, refrigerators and so on, into making tanks. And so they were building up. Now, of course, I'm sure most people on the ground thought, we're doing this for ourselves. Maybe some thought, we're doing this to help Britain and France. But I don't think any Americans were really thinking, this is all going to go to Stalin. But yes, it didn't. just at a snap of the fingers. This was, and it's well documented, that far from Franklin Del Roseville's government getting dragged into war, they in fact initiated, and Herbert Hoover documents the fact that they put Poland up to refusing to hand over Danzig, which was 95% German, to get rid of the hostility that could have been generated of course, never got any aid from America. They put up Britain and France to offer Poland a war guarantee. So far from America being an unwilling participant in the Second World War, Herbert Hoover, remember he was President of America before FDR, charges FDR's government of actually initiating the war. and fueling the war, and putting up all the major parties to the war, and benefiting financially from the war, and at the end betraying all the allies in favor of Joseph Stalin. So it's a very serious indictment. You can understand why it was banned in America for 60 years, because Herbert Hoover's book would have destroyed the Democratic Party right back in the 60s, where they would have been. after the credibility had been shattered. They were so corrupt, so infiltrated by the Communists already back in the 30s. So the Democrat Party has been rotten for a very long time. By the way, it's an interesting point if you wonder why the Democrats wear blue ties and the Republicans wear red. Back in the 1860s, the Republicans were the Communists. They were the Red Republicans. Karl Marx rooted for them. All the 1848 Marxist revolutionaries who'd flipped the failed revolutions in Europe in 1848. They helped form the Republican Party in America. So the Republicans were known as the Red Republicans initially. That's why there's so much war crimes against the Southerners. Because, you know, to them they were just bourgeoisie. So that's why there were so many atrocities. And Lincoln never punished any of his generals for their war crimes. and for targeting civilians and murdering civilians and so on, which happened frequently during the Civil War. And the brutality of the American feds towards the Confederates was the scandal of Europe. How can Christians fight like this? And treat civilians like this and target civilians and show a city like Georgia, for example, Sherman's march to Georgia. But that's been documented, it's as Lincoln's Marxists, got the book, Lincoln's Marxists. But over the years, the Republican Party got more conservative, and the Democrats got more communist. So it's interesting how they switched roles. The old Democratic Party is now, would be more comfortable with the Republicans, and the old Republicans would be more comfortable with the present Democrats. So nothing stays the same. Just like the Soviet Union now is Christian Russia, and like Christian America is now Biden's democratic mess. So, you know, this country on the planet. Somebody wrote back in 1970s, Calvinist in Africa, that if John Calvin came back to the world, he'd be most at home in South Africa, from the 1970s. That the laws honor God, strictest laws against blasphemy, Sabbath protection, the Calvinist faith is so strongly taught. The Transvaal Education Department used to have in its curriculum, the aim of this curriculum is for every student to come to a personal knowledge of Jesus Christ as Lord and Saviour. That was the object of the child file education department. in the Christian National Education Record. So today, Salaf is a byword for the most liberal leftist country on the continent with the worst legislation on the continent, a scandal in Kenya and anywhere else in Africa, how we can legalize things that other countries in Africa know to be evil and unacceptable. So this is the problem. Nothing can stay the same. Every generation must seize the initiative and retake the country, because there was a time when Geneva was the heartland of reformation. Today, Geneva is the headquarters for World Health Organization, a whole lot of UN things, and America is now more known for Hollywood perversion and blasphemy than for God-fearing Christianity, and so on. Britain's not known to be the country that's sending out most of the mysteries around the world now, Britain's become a mission field itself. Do you know that there are something in the region of a hundred times more Baptists in the Congo than there are in Great Britain? Just Baptists. It's a couple of thousand times more than there are in Belgium, but just use Britain as an example. The Baptists started in Britain. There's 20 times more Anglicans in church every Sunday in Nigeria than there are in the whole of British Isles in North America. So you can see things change, and we need to be continually realizing that any faith, whether communist, Christian, it's one generation away from extinction. Each generation doesn't take the initiative and make it their own and claim the culture for Christ or whatever their culture is. It's lost. The communists had Russia and they've lost it. The Christians had Russia, lost it, and they've regained it. But it took generations and how many people's lives in between? It's a casualty. So you've just got to see. Napoleon said, a good commander must not be unduly elated by victory or depressed over defeat. Because when you've won a victory, you are in danger because the enemy is planning his counterattack. While you're enjoying celebrating your victory, the enemy can come in for a counterattack and you can lose it all. Similarly, when you've just suffered a defeat, that's not the time to get too depressed because your enemy is now looting, celebrating, getting drunk. Good time for you to plan your counterattack. And so the main thing is one should never be complacent. Woe to he who is complacent in Zion.
