David - A Man after God's Own Heart

The narrative in Scripture, as it covers the life of David, can be breath-taking in its drama. But there are many ways in which David has much to teach us. There are things in his exceptional life that can still be applied to our more ordinary lives and callings.

One phrase stands out in terms of what the Lord said of His servant, namely that David was a man after God's own heart (1 Samuel 13:14). This description of David is key to the man he was, the things he did and how he did them. As we progress through this new series, we will see how this works out in the different situations and challenges that David found himself facing.
