La gracia revelada, resistida y rechazada

In this sermon from 1 Kings 20, we see how God's grace meets a helpless and undeserving king—and how that grace is repeatedly ignored. King Ahab, though openly wicked, is given God's Word again and again. When Israel is surrounded by a powerful enemy, God steps in, not because Ahab deserves it, but to show that He alone is the LORD. Twice, God delivers Israel in impossible circumstances, proving His power and mercy. Yet Ahab resists what God is doing. Instead of obeying the Word of the LORD, he spares the enemy God had condemned and chooses his own judgment over God's. In the end, grace rejected turns into judgment secured. This passage presses a personal question on every listener: how are we responding to God's Word? Are we submitting to it in faith, or quietly resisting it while assuming His grace will always overlook our disobedience?
