Hi, welcome to another Word Radio
broadcast, a ministry of Faith Baptist Church in Ontario, Ohio. I'm Pastor Dave Davenport. Today
we're studying in the book of Isaiah, and we're in chapter
66. We trust you'll have your Bible open and stay with us for
the next several minutes. As we go, to the Word. He causes an earthquake and you
aren't going to feel like you can go in the other way. He says,
Hear the Word of the Lord, verse 5, ye that tremble at His Word.
Now He's talking to those during that time that are the place
where He resides. The Bible says, Hear the Word
of the Lord, ye that tremble at His Word. Your brethren that
hated you that cast you out for my namesake said, let the Lord
be glorified, but he shall appear to your joy and they shall be
ashamed. I want to parse this for you.
Who's he talking about? And who's the brethren? Well,
you could say it's all Jews and Jews were cast out, but that
doesn't really track with what's being said here. What he's actually
said, as I've pointed out chapter 66 verse 20 where it says the
Gentiles are going to be brought by the Jews and they're going
to be witnessed to by the Jews and they're going to be the Gentiles
as an offering because that's what God always had in mind that
the Gentiles would be witnessed to by the Jews. They never did
it. We only have a couple of smattering
places and the only reason we know them is because there's
so few. Hiram loved David. That was unusual. You don't find
that very often that some foreign king loves somebody who's a king
in Israel. You get Daniel, he was loved
by his keepers at first and then his king at length. But even
then, you remember when he was cast into the lion's den and
the king wept all night and fasted all night? He loved him. He didn't
want him to die, but he had stepped in his own trap of these nonsensical
people around him saying, we're gonna make a law, you can't pray
to anybody. What I'm trying to show you is that this is talking
in this verse about you and me. It says, your brethren that hated
you. Israel hated the Gentiles. In
their prayers, it is reported that they said, God, I thank
you that I'm not a Gentile and I'm not a woman. They would have
this as a moniker, a motto of their lives. Instead of building
bridges, they built fences and walls and shut everybody out.
Jesus came and we're told he took down the middle wall of
partition and he made of the two, one new man. That's what
Jesus did. He made the Jews and the Gentiles
one. Well, a lot of Jews never liked that idea. So at length,
when Jerusalem was destroyed in 70 AD and things got really
dicey, not many of them really stumbled into the church. They
were just digging down on what they believed they really had
as a birthright. So there was hatred from the
Jews to the Gentiles. Now you want to know something.
We're living in a day of anti-Semitism, right? It's happening. I mentioned
it a minute ago. And you and I need to know how to navigate
that. Christians have been hated by people forever. The Bible
actually says, bless those that curse you, pray for those that
spitefully use you, and you are supposed to love not just your
neighbor and your friends, but love your enemies. So there is
no room for anything close to anti-Semitism anywhere. Racism
is not an issue for the believer. It should never be. You may have
difficulties coping with different cultures just because you don't
understand them, but that has nothing to do with the souls
of people. That just has to do with our
not knowing how to stand. You take Jim Elliott who went
to those Alka engines and he's down there and they killed him
and his wife and kids went on in there and set up camp and
eventually won him to Christ. And his son later is ministering
to the very man who murdered his father. What is that? Were they comfortable with them?
No, they weren't sneaking up on it. They certainly got on
that beach area where they landed their plane, and they were trying
to keep their clothes just so, and their behavior just so, and
they were uncomfortable. What I'm saying is it's not weird
for you to have difficulties with something, but don't let
anybody put the moniker on it that it's racism. Racism is not
the issue. Because we have love in our hearts
for every man, woman, boy, and girl, because they all are created
in the image of God and Jesus died for them. So our call is
clear that we need to try to win them to Christ and allow
ourselves to get past. And the Jewish people right now,
though they hated the Gentiles, Paul had to argue for it a lot
in Romans. Yeah, I want you to lay down your weaponry, you Gentiles,
because you have issues too. And he says, I need you to provoke
them to jealousy. I need you to love. I need them to see in
you. that you are excited about Christ and about the gospel and
about forgiveness and about the attainment of perfection through
Jesus, because He's the only way to attain unto perfection.
We get His perfection imputed to us. And you get it, they didn't,
because they got wrapped up in their ritual. The Bible says,
your brethren that hated you, hear the word ye that tremble
at His word. Who's on the ground? Tribulation people are on the
ground. And he's saying to them, if they're
reading this as boots on the ground, tribulations afoot, hear
this, ye that tremble at his word, many Gentiles are going
to wake up as soon as the rapture happens. We've had the gospel
around all our lives. Many times, my grandma, she took
me to church. Remember, people saying that,
right? They've heard it. They know the stories. Immediately,
they'll remember the rapture. And many of them are going to
get saved. They're going to have to lay down their lives. The Bible
says in the seal judgments, at this seal, is the seal where
their martyrs are under the altar. They're being killed, beheaded,
because they trust Jesus. And they're not going to bend,
bow, or play the game the devil has on the agenda. They've told
themselves they're fine, but when they get left behind, they're
going to say, I wasn't fine. So you need to pray for some
of those people out there who you know don't know that they're
lost, but they think they're safe. Bible says your brethren
that hated you, the Jews, they hated you, that cast you out
for my name's sake and said, let the Lord be glorified. They
did all that. He says, but he shall appear
to your joy. Appear. Did you see that? Do
you know what the Bible tells us? It says every eye shall see
him when he returns in the second coming. But it tells us that
in a moment and a twinkling of an eye, the church is going to
be caught up in the rapture. Kind of cool, right? So he's
telling us that they're going to see and he's going to appear
to your joy. Just think if you've made it
all the way through, man, if you've read the left behind series,
it's so cool at the end when they're all there and a handful
of them have been taken. But some of them are still living
from the beginning of the books all the way to the end. And they're
running. And next thing you know, they're standing right with Jesus.
And he's like, come on over here and give me a hug. It's OK. No,
man, I'm a mess. No, it's good. You're here. He's
going to appear to your joy. Bible says, he shall appear to
your joy and they shall be ashamed. And many of them will die, but
many of them will get saved. The Bible says a voice of noise
from the city, a voice from the temple, a voice of the Lord that
rendereth recompense to his enemies. Sounds like what we see in the
book of Ezekiel, where the inkhorn angel shows up and he says, go
seal everybody in their forehead before I let these angels with
swords drawn loose on the city. And he goes through and the inkhorn
angel comes back in almost no time because there's very few
that really believe. Oh, well, everybody's saved. Everybody
gets in. And when you get to the pearly gates, I guarantee
you, Peter's going to give you a balloon and he's going to say,
hi, I'm Pete. Because he wants everybody to
just be happy and joyful and it's all about you. No! That's
what the world thinks. God's a Santa Claus. No! You
and I must tremble at his word. These people will tremble at
his word because they're going to see the miracle of the rapture. Would
to God it would be in 2024. I'll take 2023. We only have
a few more hours of it left. Let's do that. But bottom line
is he's coming and they're going to see it and they're going to
wake up immediately because there will be no denying that he who
sits in the heavens is on the move. He's literally starting
to do some stuff. It's called the Day of the Lord
in certain instances. The Bible says that he's going
to come and he's going to render recompense to his enemies. Verse
7. Oh, by the way, I was finishing
up that concept I was trying to get to. It reminds you of
that temple thing, a noise in the temple. You know, priests
were slaughtered during that running through the city of those
angels with swords. The priests were all bad. Remember? He says it started with something
simple, the idol outside the temple, then he gets inside,
he sees graffiti that's pornographic, and it's gross and terrible,
and it's inside, like they've graffitied it, and they're worshipping
that inside the temple. Nobody knows, because only the
priests can go in there. Come back, you've got a chamber, and
you've got the men, the 70, the elders, they're all worshipping
the sun, you've got all this stuff, and the women are weeping
for Tamaz, because they believed in the rising of Tamaz, which
was the anti-Christ type child that Semiramis conjured, and
the Madonna child was all littering Old Testament days before Jesus
and Mary were ever conjured as a thing. You see, this world
has been tethered to a truth all the way through, and the
devil's been trying to commandeer it. And the Bible says this voice
coming out of the temple, it's a cry, it's a wail, it's a terrible
thing, a voice out of the city, a voice out of the temple, a
voice of the Lord that rendereth recompense to his enemies. We know it's a bad voice because
God's rendering recompense to his enemies. The Bible says,
before she travailed, she brought forth. This is almost like a,
take a breath. Before she travailed, she brought
forth. Before her pain came, she was delivered of a man child.
Now think about it in the grand scheme of things. You know, if
you realize that Jesus was born like 2000 years ago, right? 2023, give him 30 years, 2000
years, whatever, he was here living on the earth. If you take
centurions and you take 20 of them, you're to Jesus. 2100 year old people from each
generation, you've got 20 generations. Think about that. Isn't that
something? It's just like nothing all of a sudden. It's 20 people.
20 people. And you're back to Jesus. Wow.
Puts it in perspective, doesn't it? Jesus was born to Israel
before she came into her travail. She resisted and rejected and
Jesus wept when he was coming in on the triumphal entry and
he wept over Jerusalem while everybody's saying, Hosanna,
Hosanna, save now. They didn't know what they were
saying. They were thinking it was going to be military or something,
but it wasn't going to be military. It was going to be spiritual.
He was going to save his people from their sins. And he's weeping
and he's saying, Oh, Jerusalem, Jerusalem, how oft I would have
gathered you together as a hen that gather her chicks, but you
would not. And behold, now this your day
has been hidden from your eyes." And the blindness has been over
them for 2,000 years. Verse 7 again, before she travailed,
she brought forth. Before her pain came, she was
delivered of a man-child. So we know it's Jesus because
it's singular. But look what it says in verse 8. It says,
Who has heard such a thing? Who has seen such a thing? Shall
the earth Be made to bring forth in one day? Shall a nation be
born at once? Do you know when we read in the
Valley of Dry Bones in the book of Ezekiel, you know, shall these
bones live and a great army is going to stand up? We often liken
that to the birth of Israel as a nation over there right now.
That's not Israel. That's not really Israel. It's
the Jewish people, but it's not Israel. Because not all Israel
is of Israel. Not all of Jacob's children are
like his faith, like I said a moment ago. Those people over there
are his seed as far as people who were born from him. They're
his bloodline, but they're not of his faith. And when it comes
down to it, a nation's going to be born during the Tribulation. 144,000 Jewish evangelists are
going to come forward. They're going to preach like
nobody ever preached before. They're going to be like 144,000,
get this, Apostle Paul's. You can stone them, they're getting
back up and walking back in the city. That's just the way they're
going to be. They're going to be powerful. And then you have all the Jewish
people who are going to see and get converted and be changed.
And what's very interesting is as you chase the thread, you
begin to realize some things are going to happen. The Bible
actually tells us that there is a lot that is going to unfold
at that time. One of the things that you might
recall is there's a great earthquake. I think it's in chapter 8 of
the book of Revelation. And it says 7,000 people are
going to die in that earthquake in Jerusalem. And it says 7,000
names. It's like the notables are going
to die. Get this. The problem in Israel at the
time of the tribulation is going to be their leaders, which is
important for us to remember. Do we have a problem with leaders
in America? You can see it, right? Got a
lot of people who are running around saying, yeah, I don't
know what's going on. This is stupid. What is happening? And they're
not even saying it. They just see it and sense it. Something's
weird. Every government is like that across the world today.
Every government is like that. They're all full of evil and
sickness and sin because they have power and it's gone to their
minds and they've got riches and prerogatives and privileges
the rest of the world does not have. And it's led them to become
debased and debauched and reprobate and they've gotten to things
like, well, like Epstein Island stuff. Listen to this. When we talk about verse four,
I'll read it again so I can set this up. Before her pain came,
she was delivered of a child. Who hath heard, shall the earth
bring forth in one day, shall a nation be born at once? For
as soon as Zion travailed, she brought forth her children."
Interesting, because it says before she travailed. That means
that right about the time that all the nations were going to
wipe her out, He comes. Well, that concludes today's
portion of the message. This has been a ministry of Faith
Baptist Church in Ontario, Ohio, and I'm Pastor Dave Davenport.
