We're to remember Christ as prophet, we're to remember him as priest, we're to remember him as king. Daniel 4 is a prophecy of basically Nebuchadnezzar's humiliation. It's the second dream that Daniel interpreted, but notice, if you would, at verse 34, we know that what happens is that at the end of 12 months, he was walking about the royal palace in verse 28. Look at this great Babylon I built for a royal dwelling for my mighty power and for the honor of my majesty. Babylon is representative of the poisoned earth. And while he was still speaking, King Nebuchadnezzar, verse 31, says, the kingdom has departed from you. It's no longer yours. That very hour, verse 33, the word was fulfilled concerning Nebuchadnezzar. He was driven from men and ate grass like oxen. His body was wet with the dew of heaven. Till his hair had grown like eagle's feathers and his nails like bird's claws. At the end of the time, Nebuchadnezzar lifted his eyes and is writing this or is telling this to Daniel, lift my eyes to heaven and my understanding return to me and I bless the most high. No higher, the most high. And praised and honored him who lives forever. For his dominion is an everlasting dominion. It's not that it's going to start at some point and live forever. It is already here. It's an everlasting dominion. His kingdom goes from generation to generation. All the inhabitants of the earth are reputed as nothing, Nebuchadnezzar said. He does according to his will in the army of heaven and among the inhabitants of the earth. No one can restrain his hand or say to him, what have you done? At the same time, our reason returned to me, and for the glory of my kingdom, my honor and splendor returned to me. My counselors and nobles resorted to me, and I was restored to my kingdom, and excellent majesty was added to me. Now I, Nebuchadnezzar, praise and extol and honor the king of heaven, all of whose works are truth, and his ways are justice, and those who walk in pride. God is able to put down. Remember Christ as prophet, priest, and king. I'm so thankful that the Spirit of God moved on Mike's heart and soul this week to use Psalm, excuse me, Hymn 197, which we sang this morning about rejoice, rejoice in our hearts, rejoice with our tongues, and rejoice because he is the king of kings. Let's pray. Father, thank you this morning for your word. We thank you that Jesus fulfills all of these and we thank you for the great promise that we have in the word that as believers we can proclaim the gospel, As believers, we can make intercession for each other, and we can bring our petitions before you. And that, Father, that you still abide and give us dominion over just a few things here. But we thank you and praise you for who you are. Our prayer is that you'd move in the hearts and lives of sinners this morning. Call them to the Savior, who is King of kings and Lord of lords. In Jesus' name, we make this prayer. Amen. We're gonna sing a closing hymn this morning. If the Lord Jesus has spoken to you today, and perhaps you're here and do not know the Lord Jesus as your savior, then he's still your king. You don't have to wait to make him king. You don't have to wait to make him lord. He's still king and lord. Matters not. But his desire is that you would acknowledge that in this mortal life. Simple, the good news is always simple. Come unto me, all you that labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Peace that passes all understanding. As we stand and sing this morning, I will implore you that if you don't know the Lord our Savior, you need to make that right today. We can take you to a private prayer room and lead you to a saving knowledge of the Lord Jesus Christ, and you can leave with the assurance that Jesus is your Savior. But you're responsible to respond to God. God is seeking, he's searching, the scripture says, and he's searching you. If you're here today as a child of God, the Lord may be leading you into the fellowship of Flat Creek, either by, you need to be obedient and follow the Lord and believe his baptism, we encourage that you do that today, or unite with us with a statement of faith or a transfer of a letter from a church of like faith. As a child of God, that's who we are. How often we become depressed and discouraged. Woe is me. And yet, this is what God has reserved for us. This is what he desires for us. What number, Brother Mike? 550. It's a Lord spoken one.
