Yes, the Lord is really good to us, Sidney. Don't give us what we deserve. He's long suffering to us. His mercy is renewed every morning. His compassions never fail. And I'm thankful to know that. I've experienced that. And he's been with me from day one. That he was even with me before I got saved. He was there and he was watching over me and prayers going up for me. But when I got saved, He's been in me. And I tell you, He's been there ever since and He never has forsaken me and He never will. He's my Savior, He's my friend, my Lord. And He said, I'll keep you even to the end of the world. He said that He would be with me even to the end of the world. So I know that I'm forever eternally saved. It's good to be saved, good to be born again. Nothing like that at all. We want to try to speak just a little bit out of chapter five of Mark, the epistle of Mark here. I believe it's what it is. The gospel of Mark, I should say. We spoke about this not long ago, but I feel like we need to go over this and speak about this woman that had an issue of blood for 12 years. And we see how the Lord Jesus went about healing those that had different problems, and those that had devils, and those that was right at the point of death. And he laid hands on them, and he healed them, you see. But the Bible said in verse 25 of chapter 5, a certain woman which had the issue of blood 12 years, and had suffered many things of many physicians, and had spent all that she had, and was nothing bettered, but rather grew worse. Now, the Bible says here that this woman had an issue of blood. She had this problem and she suffered many things. She spent all that she had. She spent her money and everything else and just got worse. And the Bible said when she heard of Jesus, came in the press behind and touched His garment. She heard of Jesus. She heard about Jesus, the one that had power to heal, the one that came forth and touched those that was possessed with the devil. You see, he talked about here before that about legion and how the Lord and rebuked the demons out of this man. They were many. And the Bible said his name was called Legion because we are many. And the Lord rebuked the devil. See, he rebuked Satan. It's not too hard for the Lord. And I tell you, the Lord went by his way. The Bible talked about this man. He was no doubt at the tombs there, a man of unclean spirit. And he had his dwell among the tombs, and no man could bind him, not with chains. No one contained him, because he had been often bound with feathers and with chains. And the chains had been plucked or sundered by him, and the feathers broken in pieces. Neither could any man tame him. And always, not a day, he was in the mountains and in the tombs, crying and cutting himself with stones. And when he saw Jesus afar off, he ran and worshiped him and cried with a loud voice. I like that. He cried with a loud voice. You say he got in touch with the Lord. I'm telling you, he knew that Jesus could help him and he cried with a loud voice and said, what have I to do with thee, Jesus, thou son of the most high God? I adjure thee by God that thou torment me not. For he said unto him, come out of the man, thou unclean spirit. And he asked him, what is thy name? And he answered, saying, my name is Legion, for we are many, you see. And I tell you, the Lord will hear the cry. I tell you, the Bible said and the Psalmist said, this poor man cried and the Lord heard his cry and delivered him out of all of his troubles. His sin troubles, the Lord delivers. The Lord will rebuke Satan, you see. And it's not too hard for the Lord. And I know that the Lord has been given the messages and the teaching and the preaching. I tell you about the different types of of powers that be that my brother has been speaking about as well. And I tell you, but nothing is too great for the Lord. And we see a happening here about this man. The Bible said that he was in the country of the Gadarenes. And when Jesus went by that way, He said, He must go that way. There was a great need. He went all the way across the land. that he would go and find this man that dwelt among the tombs, you see. And I tell you what was tormented. And the Lord healed him. And we'll go on and read this. And he besought him much that he would not send him out of the country, you see. And he besought him much that he would not send him away out of the country. Now there was nigh unto the mountains a great herd of swine feeding. And all the devils besought Him, saying, Send us into the swine, that we may enter into them. You see, let us enter into them. And for where Jesus gave them leave, and the unclean spirits went out and entered into the swine, and the herd read violently down the steep place into the sea. And there were about 2,000 and were choked in the sea. And they that fed the swine fled and told it in the city and in the country that they went out to see what was done. They heard about this happening and they go to see what happened. And they came to Jesus and seen him that was possessed with the devil. and had the legion sitting and clothed in his right mind, and they were afraid. Here they saw a man that wouldn't keep his clothes on, cut himself with stone, they bind him with chains, he'd just bust them loose. I mean, that's what they seen. They knew about this man called legion. You see, but when they came to Jesus and they saw this man that was possessed with the devil. He was possessed with the devil. You see, God delivered him. God rebuked these demons and had legions sitting and clothed in his right mind and they were afraid. I tell you, when the Lord saves you, He gives you a sound mind. I tell you, He blesses you. You see, He comes in there to live and gives you something to live for. And they that saw it told them how it befell to them that was possessed with the devil and also concerning the swine. This miracle that took place, you see how God rebuked the demons. We see the power of the Lord Jesus Christ here. We see He has the power. And I tell you, Satan had to go. And there was many of them. And they began to pray him to depart out of their coast. And when he was coming to the ship, and he that had been possessed with the devil prayed him that he might be with him. His desire was to be with Jesus when he got saved. When he rebuked those demons out of him, his desire was to be with him. And when he was coming to the ship, he that had been possessed with the devil prayed him that he might be with him. Howbeit Jesus suffered him not, but saith unto him, Go home to thy friends, and tell them how great things the Lord hath done for thee, and hath compassion on thee. Go and show them." In other words, be that living testimony. Let them see. Tell them about Jesus who saved you, who rebuked these demons. And no doubt the testimony this man had, when those that saw him, I mean they saw him, they knew about this man, no doubt. And when they seen him clothed in his right mind, I tell you what a testimony. And he departed and began to publish in Decapolis how great things Jesus had done for him. And all men did marvel. Isn't that something? I tell you, we have a testimony tonight. We are saved. And I tell you, we ought to be able to go, and I tell you, pray that God will give us witness to others. And I know He will, and He'll always come every day. But we're to have that desire and pray, and God will open the doors because the need's so great. You see, but when people hear your testimony, they ought to feel it. And I tell you, they ought to sense it. And I tell you that this man, they saw him, they seen the life of this man, no doubt. But those that you're around about, they know you, and they watch you, you see. And I tell you, we need to have a good impression on them. And when Jesus was passed over again by ship and to the other side, much people gathered unto Him, and He was nigh unto the sea. And behold, there cometh one of the rulers of the synagogue, Jairus by name, and when they saw him, he fell at his feet. And they saw him greatly, saying, My little daughter lies at the point of death. He said, And I pray thee, come and lay thy hands on her, that she might be healed, and she shall live. She shall live. I tell you, this man said, You can do it. I know, no doubt. My daughter no doubt, is about to die. And he loved his daughter, and he said, I pray thee, come and lay your hands on her, that she may be healed, and she shall live. And Jesus went with him, and much people followed him, and thronged him. And a certain woman, which had an issue of blood twelve years, and she suffered many things of many physicians, and had spent all that she had, and nothing battered, but rather grew worse, and she had heard of Jesus. and came in the press behind and touched his garment. She heard about Jesus and knew that if I could just get in his presence, I know if I could just touch his garment, just a hem of it, I know that I would be made whole of this problem that I have. And she said, if I may touch but his clothes, I shall be whole and straightway the fountain of her blood was dried up and she felt in her body that she was healed of the plague. And Jesus immediately, knowing in Himself that virtue had gone out of Him, turned Him about in the press and said, Who touched my clothes? Who touched me? You see, God knows, I'll tell you if you're sincere or not, God knows if you really want help or not. He knows where you are. He knows what your heart And what it's saying, you see, and he already knew, he felt this woman, she came by faith and she knew that she could just touch his clothes that she would be made whole, you see. And then she didn't have to get right in front of him and have his undivided attention, so to speak, but she said, I could just touch his clothes. He's holy. He's God in flesh, no doubt, but I don't know if she knew that, but one thing she knew, she knew that He had power to heal and power to do things, because no doubt she heard about Jesus. And His disciples said unto Him, Thou seest the multitude thrown in thee, and seest Thou who touch Me, you see. God knows, you see. And I tell you, if you're really sincere with God, I tell you, He will hear your cry. He will forgive you of your sin. He'll deliver you from your problem if you want it bad enough. If you trust Him with all your heart, He'll do it. He said He would. He always does what He says. And all you got to do is just continue to part your heart before Him. and ask God to help you, you see. And he looked round about to see her that had done this thing, no doubt. He looked around and he saw her. But the woman fearing and trembling, you see, she feared the Lord and she didn't come with a way of being arrogant or proudful, thinking that she deserved God's attention and deserved anything from God. But she came fearing and trembling, knowing what was done in her, and came and fell down before Him and told Him all the truth. She told Him all the truth. She opened up her heart to Him. And he said unto her, Daughter, thy faith hath made thee whole. Go in peace and be whole of the plague. I tell you, like we said this morning, hope deferred made the heart sick. I tell you, but one desire cometh. I tell you, it's the tree of life. And she walked away, I tell you, with eternal life. She walked away with life in her soul. And I tell you, her faith, you see, that's how she got sick. Because she believed in Jesus. And she believed on Him with all her heart. no doubt, and she went in peace, and she was whole of the plague. And while he yet spake, there came from the ruler of the synagogue a house certain, it was the synagogue's house certain, which said, thy daughter is dead, Why troubles thou my master any further? It's too late. Hope's gone. It's all gone. Don't even trouble him. Don't even talk to him. Don't even go. I tell you, it's all over. You see, thy daughter is dead. And as soon as Jesus heard the word that was spoken, he said unto the ruler of the synagogue, be not afraid, but only believe. I tell you, you got to believe, you see, and know that God can do all things, you see, and have that faith in Jesus. And I tell you, he'll deliver. I tell you, from sin. He'll deliver from drugs and He'll deliver from alcohol and He'll deliver from, I tell you, just ungodly sex and everything else and He'll deliver from the demons and He'll deliver from any problem. that you have, you see. We see it here in this precious Bible here tonight. And knowing that, we've seen this hand work in our own lives, in our own people's lives, and how God healed, and how God, I tell you, just touched those with cancer and healed them and so forth. And I tell you how He saved. And folks, you thought never would get saved. I tell you that God saves. And I tell you, we've seen Him do many things. But He said, be not afraid, but only believe. And He suffered no man to follow Him. saved Peter, James, and John, the brother of James, and he cometh to the house of the ruler of the synagogue, and he saith to the torment, and them that wept and wailed greatly." Now he went with this ruler of the synagogue. You see, he went with him. And I read in other places where there was one that said, Just speak the Word. I'm not worthy to come to my house. I'm not worthy for you to come, you see. But I know that all you got to do is speak it and it will be done. You see, he had great faith. And that's what the Lord said, I've not seen so much of a faith like this one. You see, because he said, Lord, just speak the word and it shall be done. But here he went with them, and they wept and wailed greatly. And when he was come in, he saith unto them, Why make ye this ado and wee? The damsel is not dead, but sleeping. I tell you, they began to laugh. They began to laugh, you see. Their hope was gone. You see, their hope was deferred, gone. And I tell you, they did not realize it. But Jesus said, Why make ye this to do and weep? And the damsel was not dead, but sleeping. And they led Him to scorn. But when He had put them all out, He taketh, he said, he taketh the father and the mother of the damsel and them that were with him and entered in where the damsel was lying. You see, he put out those that laughed. He put out those of doubt. And I'll tell you that, in other words, they have no place in here at this time. No doubt, he said, when he had put them all out, he taketh the father and the mother of the dapsel and them that were with him and entered in where the dapsel was lying. You see, that he went and he took the dapsel by hand and said unto her, I may not get this right, but anyhow, It said, Talitha Kumai, which is being interpreted damsel, saying to thee, arise. Now this woman, this little damsel here, already died, no doubt. I tell you, but her soul, he kept the soul in her, no doubt. And he just raised her up. You see, he had the power to do so. You see, but these that laughed and those that, I tell you, that had the doubt, no doubt, he put them out. And I tell you, He took the damsel by hand and said, Arise. And in a straight way, the damsel arose and walked. For she was the age of twelve years, and they were astonished with a great astonishment. And He charged them straightly, that no man should know it, and commanded that something should be given to her to eat. And I tell you, we see here tonight what God does and how He does and what He can do. And we know this. And we must come to Him. You must come to Him knowing He has power to do so. Don't doubt Him. I tell you, the Lord will take care of the devil. And I know, like one, when it talked about when there's one that was possessed with a devil, and the disciples no doubt prayed. And when the Lord came and once said, the disciples, I told them about what they could not cast them out. And Jesus said, Well, this come forth, some things only come forth with prayer and fasting, you see. But also there's things that can hinder prayers. And we talked a little bit about that this morning. And I tell you what, we all need to do what we supposed to do. We all need to do that. We need to be in the house of the Lord and we need to be praying ourselves. And I'll tell you, we need to be seeking God ourselves. And I know that through prayer, the Lord will do things, but there's time where God will put on our heart to get down and pray and fast, I tell you, for the need of these and so forth. And I'm looking for the Lord to do mighty things. And I know He's going to, and I know He has power to do so. I tell you, but we don't need to doubt it. I tell you, we need to trust the Lord. We see what He can do. But this is good, and I felt like the Lord wanted us to share that tonight. You see, you need to see what's in the Word of God. And I tell you, let's be praying for all those that, I tell you, that are tormented, and those that are heavy, and those that have trouble, and those, some have mental issues and different things. And I tell you, just the people we meet, I'm talking about, and people that we're privileged to meet, and ones we see in the homes. and so forth, and even in their own families, some that are suffering with things, you see. And I know God's able, you see, but they got to, they know, and let them heard, and they got to get into the house of the Lord. I tell you, the devil don't want them getting in the Lord's house. He don't want them around the Lord's presence, you see. That's what exposes the devil, is the Lord's presence. That's what gives people hope is the Lord's presence. And I tell you, the devil don't want people around it. You see, that's why the devil don't want us preaching. That's why he don't want us to give our lives to the Lord and ask God to help us and pray for the power, because he knows people are going to be set free, you see, and people are going to be set at liberty, you see. But that's why the devil is working so hard to stop us from what the Lord has endeavored us to do. And I'm thankful what he's doing. Here, I'm thankful for it, you see. But go and read these things and study the Bible and go and study some things we talked about this morning as well. I tell you, this morning I was mentioning about the Egyptian handmaiden of Sarah. That was, and I almost forgot it again. But anyhow, Lord help me. But anyhow, Hagar. Hagar, yeah. And Couture was another one he took after Sarah died. Anyhow, but I know these things and I knew it for many years, but they leave me sometimes. But anyway, I wanted to try to correct that and there's some other things too, but We need to go and just study that for yourself as well if you like. I tell you it was good to me and there's a lot of things that I need to no doubt go and tighten up as well that we spoke about this morning as well. And I want to be able to hear it again myself where I can hear it. Because when you're up here and you're speaking, there's a lot of things that go through your mind and the Lord's giving you things and different things. But then the devil comes and tries to also torment you later by some things. So I want to be able to listen to it myself as well. But I tell you, I want to Have it right on track, right on line, and I'll tell you, I want it to be right. And so, and I'm open, I tell you, I'm not proudful where I can't be corrected either. So I'm thankful for the word of God. I just want it to be right, and I want you to receive it right. And I tell you, I sure don't wanna say anything amiss. or anything that's wrong. But anyhow, I know that I believe most of you got the message this morning of what the Lord was speaking of, hope. There's hope. And I tell you, folks, and I tell you it takes a lot for some, And I tell you, even in the past, we know of some it was like that, that just seemed like it was always no hope whatsoever and gave Scripture after Scripture. I know Brother Gerald talked about this himself, and they still find themselves in the same condition, you see. But we've got to believe the Lord and know what God will do. You've got to trust Him. You have something in your life and it's bigger than you are. That's what you've got to do. You've got to come to God and say, it's bigger than me. I can't do this. It's greater than I. It's going to kill me. God, help me. God, have mercy on me. I'm in need. God, please be merciful unto me and help me. And the Lord will, you see. That's what He wants out of you. You've got to come to Him. You see, you got to come to Him and believe Him. You see, all that got saved, they came believing. All that got healed, they came believing. You see, this woman that had the issue of blood, she came believing, no doubt. And all these others, if we go and read. And there was one, I like what he said. He said, Lord, I believe, but help my unbelief. You see, in our flesh, we can at times, and we have to ask God, help me. Help me with my unbelief. Help me, Lord. You see, I do believe Thee, but help my unbelief. And as Satan works on us and tries to put so doubt in us, we just have to pray. And I know the Lord's going to bless and help. But I want to thank you all for coming to the house of the Lord. And I tell you, I know you came because you wanted to. And I tell you, I'm thankful what God gave us. and continue to pray for the services and pray for the work of God here and I tell you and everywhere where God sends us. And I tell you, when we come, I tell you, we need to rejoice at thy word. That's what the psalmist said. Psalms 119 says, I rejoice at thy word, you see, as one that findeth a great spoil. You see, someone that finds a great treasure. Oh, I tell you, look at all of this. I mean, this must be a million dollars. This must be this or that, you see. And they will rejoice. You see, but the Bible said we ought to rejoice at thy word. This word is worth more than a million dollars. It's worth more than anything. Put all the riches of this world put together. You see, and I tell you, when we find it, when we look into the perfect law, when we look into this precious word here, and when we see God gives us hope, you see, God gives us strength, and I tell you, we can rejoice at thy word. It's one that findeth a great strength. It's full and I'm thankful for the precious word of God today. And I'll tell you, we just must eat it. I'll tell you, we must take it home with us. And I'll tell you, just think about it, meditate upon it, meditate on it, you see? And I thought about that too, as I read about Isaac and when the, no doubt the steward, And the servant, no doubt, of Abraham, when he sent for Isaac, a wife, you see, he talked about how Isaac, as he was waiting, he went out into the field to meditate. He went out to meditate and to talk to God, no doubt. I tell you, but when they began to come back with her, she looked out there and she saw and said, who is this man here? You see, and no doubt her heart was probably just thumping around herself and she knew that was the one. She felt it, no doubt, and he looked on her and he seen her and I tell you what, love story that God blessed and put together here. But he was there in the field meditating, no doubt, and here she come. You see, God blessed, you see. But Abraham said, go down to where my people are, where they've settled down there. I believe it was Nahor, his brother, down where he settled down there, and they took a wife. for Rebecca and the Lord put it all together and God gave him understanding who it would be and how she would do and all these things. You see, God makes it known. But I thought about that. He went out to meditate. You see, and God does bless us and God's promised us things. We just need to be patient and meditate upon the Word and just rehearse it in our mind and hearts and believe what God's told us and believe what's in His Word and I'll tell you something, it will come. or our will come. The camels are coming. You see, the camels of blessings are coming. You see, and we can just believe that tonight. We can believe that knowing what God's going to do in our life and the lives of others and what He's going to do for this church. You see, because the Word is going forth and God has blessed this and He's moving. And I tell you, I'm not saying that to try to make myself feel better. I know it's true. And I tell you, that's for the sake of some. But I tell you, but I hope you know it. If you don't, there's something wrong with you. There's something wrong with folks who cannot recognize and know the presence of God and knowing when God is speaking. You see, there's something wrong with them and with you if you have that problem. But I love you tonight. And I want to ask you to go ahead and bow your head. We're going to go to the Lord in prayer. The altar is open, so come to the altar and pray. Seek the Lord. Seek Him, you see. And I tell you, be willing to give it all up. Now like we said this morning, the devil, I tell you, he's going to tell you in the flesh, won't you wait? You've got plenty of time and you know, you can do this later on and that kind of thing. I tell you, don't let the devil beat you out. You see, don't be like the one, like Felix and Agrippa, when they said, for a more convenient season, I will pray, I'll call for you then. Or one that said, almost thou persuadest me to be a Christian. Almost thou persuadest me. You see, don't be almost, but all together, you see, believing and receiving. the message and for the salvation of your soul. And God help us today. I know the word goes forth and it will fall on our toes sometime. It will convict us. It will hit right at home. And that's the time to say, yes, Lord, I'm guilty. Yes, Lord, I hear. Yes, Lord. Speak to me and don't, it's not a time and you should not get angry with what God gives and don't let the devil disturb you and lie to you that it's a personal attack or it's a stone throwing and so forth and it's not that at all. God have mercy, just take it. and take it humbly and fall on your face before God and ask Him to help you with it and forgive you. I tell you, that's a blessing within itself. When God will speak to our hearts and let us see us, let us see our condition where we can pray and get it right. I tell you, because if you continue to go your way, I tell you, after a while, there's nothing else left but death. Nothing else left but to die. God have mercy. Time is short.
