Your Bible, please, tonight. In the book of Colossians, chapter 1, we are reading verses number Colossians. Share your Bible, please. In verse number 15, or rather 14, up to verse number 19. Kindly rise this time. Colossians chapter 1 verses number 14 up to verse number 19 tonight. Verse 14 up to verse number 19. We're going to read this responsibly tonight. In whom we have redemption through his blood, even the forgiveness of sins. For by him were all things created that are in heaven and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones or dominions or principalities or powers, all things were created by him and for him. And he is the head of the body, the church, who is the beginning of the firstborn from the dead, that in all things he might have preeminence. Let us remain standing for prayer. Heavenly Father, we thank you for what our ears have heard and our eyes have seen tonight. It reminds us of the day when the Lord Jesus Christ came into this world, was born, and Lord, he had one purpose in mind, and that is to save humanity, to save us from our sins. Tonight, I pray that the Word of God will find a special place in our hearts and in our minds. Blessed tonight, in Jesus' name, dear Father, we pray, amen and amen. Kindly be seated, Karonga B. Now, I have chosen verse number 19 to be the key verse of tonight's message. Verse number 19, it says, For it pleased the Father, it pleased the Father, that in Him, meaning in Christ, in Christ should all fullness dwell. So, it is in the goodness of the Lord that we are able to keep Christ Jesus. The fullness must be found in Him. All fullness in Christ. Ang tanan nga pagkahimpit, pagkakumpleto, diha kanginoong Jesus Christo. So, if we are to carefully study this passage of Scripture, we find that the Lord Jesus Christ is truly worthy to be crowned as Lord of all. Like the false teachers in Colossae, teachers of our own day, our present day, would deny the importance of Jesus Christ. They would simply dethrone him, giving him they are willing to give him prominence but not free I mean prominence but not free imminence not free imminence verse 18 and he is the head of the body who is the beginning the firstborn from the dead that in all things in all things he might have free imminence so people are willing to give him prominence but they refuse to give him free imminence by the way the word pre-imminence simply means above all others in their philosophy Jesus Christ was but one of the many emanations they call that proceeded from God and through which man could could reach God. Immanation means God created someone someone powerful next to him and that someone next to him has created someone next to him another one and along that line Jesus Christ was one of them. And so, we don't believe on that. He did not emanated from the Father. He was with God from the very beginning because He is God. Amen? And so, in their philosophy, Jesus Christ is only one of the many for people to reach God. It was this claim that Paul reputed in this passage. So it is their duty to obey. Now, here's an outline in this passage for us to really understand the passage we have read tonight. Paul uses four arguments to prove the pre-eminence of Christ. Four arguments to prove that he's above all things. He's not one of those God created, but he is a creator. Four arguments here. Number one, look at verses number 13 and 14. This is argument number one. Now, Paul proved the fact that Jesus Christ is the Savior. And all of God's people say Amen. he is the savior verse 13 and verse number 14 that means that now you see the greatest man's greatest problem is sin a problem that can never be solved by any philosopher or any religious teacher sinners need a savior sinners need a savior And those two verses present a clear picture of four saving actions of Jesus Christ on our behalf. What did he do? Look at verse number 13 and 14. Number one, let us look at verse 13. Who had delivered us? That is what he did. Who had delivered us? To save us, this word means rescued us from danger. We were on our way to hell. we were in danger of being cast into the lake of fire forever but thank God Jesus Christ came and delivered us out of danger verse 13 again who hath delivered us from the power of darkness that's number one number two in verse 13 he has translated us in verse number 13 it is who have delivered us from the power of darkness and have translated us into the kingdom of his dear son from the kingdom of darkness into the kingdom of the Lord Jesus Christ and now another thing here look at verse 14 four things he did he redeemed us in verse number 14 in whom we have redemption through his blood Even the forgiveness of sin. So number one, He delivered us. Number two, He has translated us. Number three, He redeemed us. Number four, He has forgiven us. Those are the four wonderful things He did as our Savior. Jesus Christ is the Savior. Is He your Savior tonight? Look at verse number 15 to 17. Argument number two, Christ is the Creator. he did not emanate from among those God has created he is a creator the creator actually meaning he existed before before creation all things look at verse 15 please who is the image of the invisible God the firstborn of every creature he existed before verse number 15 creation all things All things, by the way the term first born does not refer to time, but it refers to place or status, his position. Now understand it, it does not refer to time. Firstborn here represents his position, his status, his place. And Jesus Christ was not the first being created since he himself is the creator of all things. Understand, this firstborn simply means first of importance, amen? First of importance, first of rank. Ang Ranggunia is above everything. Look at verse number 16. He existed in verse 15 before creation. Verse 16, He created all things. By Him were all things created. They said emanation says, Ang Diyos nga Mahal nagbuhat ug next to Him. And that someone nagbuhat nga next to Him created someone next in power and that Third one, created next in power, next in power, meaning to say Christ may have some kind of power, but He's only created. No, He did not emanate from God, because before everything else, before all things, the Bible says He created everything. For by Him were all things created. that are in heaven, that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones or dominions or principalities or powers, all things were created by Him and for Him. He created all things. All things exist in verse number 16 for Him. And then look at verse 17, He holds all things together. oh he is before all things and by him verse 17 all things consist all things that's argument number two argument number three now Christ is the head of the church in verse number 18 verse 19 to 20 because time will not permit me argument number four he's the beloved of the father he's beloved now look at verse number 19 now Let's consider two major words here. Two words we need to understand. Underline that in verse number 19. Underline the word all and next the word fullness. Connect them and it says all fullness. Amen? All fullness. Ang pagkakumpleto. Tanan na pagkakumpleto is found in Christ. Now first, There are three important thoughts I would like to divide tonight and bring out tonight. Number one, here's the first question that we need to ask. The first question we need to ask tonight is what? What does God mean by it? In Him dwelleth all fullness. Two words. All fullness. What does He mean by it? and let me say this God meant what he said exactly what he said all fullness it pleased the father that in him should all fullness dwell all fullness I look at Christ I say all fullness is in Christ when I whenever I look at Christ You compare Christ with other objects and other religious leaders who present themselves to be Savior. I say, in Christ dwelleth all fullness. Everything I need is in Christ. All includes everything. All includes everywhere, in or on every part, all throughout. Fullness. Fullness is a substantial word meaning real. It means actual. It means true. Not imaginary. Oh, we thank God for these two words. Our hearts tonight rejoice to know that there is such thing in this world as all fullness. All fullness. Thank God for He has provided all fullness. for us tonight. Now we see nothing, we see nothing but failure. Vanity of vanity, all is vanity. People try themselves to seek fullness of their religious experience, but look at Paul, the greatest Christian, the greatest missionary. In fact, he's the greatest Christian next to Christ, the greatest preacher, the greatest missionary, but look at his experience. And attaining to gain fullness as far as religion is concerned, what did Paul say? He failed. he failed Romans chapter 7 please look at verse number 18 Romans 7 and verse number 18 Romans chapter 7 and verse number 18 I know that in me that is in my flesh dwelleth no good thing dwelleth no good thing for to will is present with me but how to perform that which is good I find now can you imagine What do you see there? In spite of the fact that in Cambocha, Pero he failed. Everything in this world fails. Everything in this world fails. Look at verse 24, Romans 7, 24. O wretched man that I am, who shall deliver me from the body of this death? We constantly Constantly we fall short of our expectations. Nothing in this world can bring real peace and satisfaction. In everything we fall short of our expectation. There is nothing in this world that can ever bring all fullness of joy. Solomon tried everything but he failed. You know what he says? He tried to find all fullness of joy in the things of the world. He had acquired everything he wanted. But you know, in the end, this man Solomon said, Vanity, all is vanity, meaning useless. Emptiness. You cannot find all fullness in this world. But thank God there is all fullness in Christ tonight. All fullness shows his sufficiency. All fullness shows his ability in providing us a complete number one salvation. Amen. Complete salvation. There is in Christ all, of all, you know, in Christ's fullness of all past failures of man in the Old Testament toward the law of God. You know what? They tried to obey the law, they tried to seek salvation, they tried to seek reconciliation with God, they tried to seek peace to the religion, but religion has failed them. It failed them because they were failures themselves. Romans 8, look at verse number 3. For what the law could not do. What was the problem in that it was weak through the flesh. Don't try to find a mistake with the law. Do not try to create wrong with the law. Now the law is good, the law is perfect, the problem is us, me and you. For what the law could not do, in that it was weak to the flesh, God sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, for sin condemned sin in the flesh. He defeated sin through a perfect life, went to the cross as a perfect sacrifice with the perfect blood, pure blood of the Lamb. took away all our sins. Thank God there is fullness of salvation in Christ Jesus. And we say amen to that. The rending of the veil symbolized the wonderful truth that the way is now open to God. There is no more need for the temple priest, the altar of sacrifices. Jesus finished the work of salvation on the cross. The cross. All fullness shows his sufficiency. All fullness shows his ability. Number two in answering our prayers. Amen. In protecting us in times of danger. In upholding us in times of trial. In providing us in times of needs. That is all fullness in Christ. You can walk with God like the psalmist in Psalm 23 verse number 1. The Lord is my shepherd. If you have God as your shepherd, you lack nothing. You lack nothing. First thought we have considered is based on the question, what? Number two, now we want to consider the word where? Where else could all fullness have been placed? We're looking at the someone who has all the capability. We're looking at someone within himself to bear fullness. He has the capability within himself to bear all fullness. Someone who has the capacity to contain all fullness. Remember all fullness. is now without limit. There is someone who has the capability and not only the capability but the capacity to contain all fullness. Come unto me all that labor and are heavy laden and I will give you rest. Salvation in Christ is unlimited. We are looking at someone who has not only the capability and the capacity to contain, but also the immutability to retain all fullness. He never changes. It pleased the Father that in Him should all fullness dwell, that is to abide, it remains in Jesus Christ. No one has the ability to do that except the Lord Jesus Christ. Because Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever. No human being can bear. No human being can contain. No religion can bear. No religion can contain and retain all fullness. Only the Lord Jesus Christ. Only the Lord. Look at this. In the Old Testament, they had an experience with God. Moses received the law. and in the receiving of the law. You know what happened? Let me show you Exodus 19 tonight, verses 12. Exodus 19, verses number 12 to 21. This is what happened. Exodus 19, verses 12 to 19. And 12, it says there, And thou shalt set bounds upon the people round about Saying, take heed to yourself that you go not up into the mount to touch the border of it. Whosoever toucheth the mount shall be surely put to death. So when Moses received the law, the mountain began to shake. Lightnings, thunderings took place. You know what God told Moses, do not cross. Set boundaries around the mountain. Nobody should come and touch the mountain. If they do, immediately they will die. Because the place was so holy. And the people cried, the people trembled because of the holiness and the sacredness of the thing. What I'm trying to say is this. I'm trying to tell you tonight that God in the Old Testament says, come not nigh hither. You cannot easily approach God because God is holy. He's so holy that we can never approach Him. Thank God, God became man. Amen? And that man to Jesus Christ can be embraced now. That man walks with the people who were in need. He has touched the lives, even the lepers he has touched. You cannot do that in the Old Testament. Thank God. God has put all the fullness in His Son. And that son can be touched with the feeling of our infirmities today. You can come to him, you can know God, you can approach God now through the Lord Jesus Christ. In him dwelleth all the fullness. Thank God for that. We come now to the last thought. We want to consider the question, when first question was, what? Second question was where? And the third question is when? When? When? When is all fullness in Christ? Now, now it is there in all time. It is there present. Past, present. Three aspects of time you find all fullness in Christ. Whether past, present and future. The people in the Old Testament look forward for their salvation to the Lord Jesus Christ. They have found full satisfaction. They have found by faith real assurance of salvation and protection as they look forward to the Lord Jesus Christ. People in the past. At present you need Christ, you need to come to Christ. I have been trying to be religious, devoted in my religion, but I have not found, never have found true peace and satisfaction and assurance. You can come now. There is fullness still in Jesus today. There is salvation in Jesus today. Believers, there is still fullness in Christ to answer our prayers. There is still fullness in providing us. There is still fullness in Christ in protecting us. You come to Him right now. And you ask, what if I bear children in the future, my grandchildren in the future, what will happen to them? Where will they find peace and assurance and salvation? I say to you, fullness will dwell in Christ forever. He has been the fullness of salvation in the past, the fullness of salvation for us at present, and the fullness of salvation in the future. There is fullness in Jesus Christ. In Christ there is everything you need. Come tonight and receive Him with your heart. Come tonight and say, Lord, There is nothing in this world that can provide true fullness of salvation. I remember, November 5, 11 o'clock, November 5, 11 o'clock, 1972, at the age of 8, I received Jesus Christ. I received the fullness of Christ, salvation in my heart. And every day I rejoice. I would not doubt. I'm not doubting at present. I will not doubt tomorrow that I'm saved because I have fullness. Once you're saved, you're saved. Your sins are forgiven. He is your Savior. I will not fear about the future. Why? Because it's my fullness. I find in Him fullness of salvation. I find in Him fullness And as far as my prayers are concerned, my strength are concerned, everything I find in Christ. No wonder God the Father is so pleased that all the fullness must be found in Christ. Do you find all fullness in Jesus? Is He enough for you? For your salvation? For your prayers? For living the Christian life, is He enough? Is He all for you? He said, Pastor Ingay, I know I'm saved, but I'm struggling with my life. Find all fullness in Jesus. Let us all say, please, Heavenly Father, we thank you for providing us all fullness in this life. We can find all fullness People are trying to find fullness of joy and satisfaction in some other things like religion, like the wealth of this world, the pleasures of this world. But my God, thank you for we find all fullness of joy, all fullness of satisfaction, all fullness of salvation in your beloved Son, Jesus Christ. If there's someone here who have never accepted Him into their hearts, may they come as Jesus says, come unto me, all ye that labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. There is rest in Jesus. There is rest of salvation, and there is rest of service, full satisfaction in Jesus. I pray this tonight in Jesus' name we pray, amen.
