This is one of my favorite songs and I want you to sing it with me because that's where I get my strength. Set your spirit free that I might worship you. Set my spirit free that I may praise you. Let all bondage go and let deliverance flow. Set my spirit free. Could you raise that song quieter? Set my spirit free, that I may worship you. Set my spirit free, that I may praise your name. Let all bondage flow and let deliverance flow. Set my spirit free to worship you. Amen. Father, we come in your presence this day to hear from you. Father, we want you to speak to us. Father, you could have used angels to do this work, but you have chosen us. So Lord, we pray that as your word go forth today, it may encourage the Christians to live a godly life, and it may bring the unsaved to repentance. Because repentance is the greatest miracle that can be bestowed upon anyone. Hear her prayers, Lord. In Jesus' name I pray. A few weeks ago, I received a text from Pastor saying that we should walk with our message in our pocket And I didn't take it slightly. And yesterday, I got another text that is not doing so well. So if I'm ready, I was never a Boy Scout. And as a Boy Scout, moderates be prepared. So as a humble servant, I'm going to try my best to bring forth the word of the Lord today. Our scripture was taken from 1 Corinthians 15, verse 58, 50 to 58. And our subject is, our spiritual body, we shall all be changed. And then I have a subject, the Christian future victory is sure. future victory is sure. Paul, who was troubled with the reports coming out of Corinth, penned the book of 1 and 2 Corinthians. It is clear that although the church was gifted, it was immature and unspiritual. So Paul's main purpose of writing to the church was to instruct and restore the church in its areas of weakness. One error is that of resurrection. The passage that was read, Corinthians 15, 35 to 58, deals with the resurrected body. I will deal with the physical body and the spiritual body and death. Physical body, it reads as follows. Flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God. This is quite clear that physical body that was made by God is perishable, corrupt, weak, and sinful. But this was not made at creation. The physical body was God. Creation, let's go back to Genesis 1 verse 26. Then God said, let us make man in our own image, in our likeness. So God created man in his own image, In the image of God, he created him, male and female. So we are created in the image of God, but we cannot enter his kingdom, and you know why. Because Adam, the first man, brings sin into the world, and sin brings death, and death is an enemy of God because it destroys life in contrast to God. The Bible tells us that neither sin nor pain, disease nor death were part of God's original plan for man. Even the law given to the people was insufficient So God had to send his son, Jesus Christ, to redeem us from sin. He who had no sin became sin for us. So God restore us to himself by sacrificing his only son. John 3 verse 16 clearly states, which all of us know, for God so loved the world that he gave his one and only son, that whosoever believe in him shall not perish but have eternal life. That's the promise, that's the reality that Christians will have eternal life. So although you are saved, this physical body will not inherit the kingdom of God. This body will make a significant change, as Paul mentioned. I tell you a mystery. We will not all sleep, but we will be changed in a flash We will not sleep means some believers will not experience that. And the grave. Some Christians will be alive when Christ returns. I don't know if you are going to be one of them or myself. But all Christians will receive a change bodies. Whether alive or dead. at the sound of the last trumpet. What will these bodies be like? We know that the body is raised in glory. It will be free of all infirmities. In our changed bodies, We will not know nothing of physical weakness. Can you imagine that? There will be no limitations imposed on us on this earth. We will have an habitation from God that is incorruptible, immortal, and powerful. Yes, these weak bodies They are weak. They are dying bodies now. But when we live again, they will be full of strength. For our earthly bodies, the ones we have now that can die, must be transformed into the heavenly bodies that cannot perish, but will live forever. When this happens, Then at last the scripture will come true. Death is swallowed up in victory. O death, where there is your victory, where then your sting? For sin, the sting that causes death, will be gone, and the law which reveals our sin will no longer be our judge. How we thank God for all of this. It is he who makes us victorious through Jesus Christ, our Lord. So my dear brothers, since the future of victory is sure, be strong. Steadfast, always abounding in the Lord's work. Or as stated in the NIV, always give yourself fully to the work of the Lord, for you know that nothing you do for the Lord is ever wasted, as it would be. There were no resurrection What a promise. Christ lives. We shall live. He has a glorious resurrected body, and so shall we. This is how a Christian can live and die with hope. Death is swallowed up in victory. I have spent most of the time talking about the Christians. how they will be changed. There is no mention of the unsaved. But to clarify what I'm going to say about the unsaved, I like to explain physical death and spiritual death. Physical death is separation of the spirit and soul from the body as in James two verse twenty-six James two verse twenty-six the body without the spirit is dead but there is a far worse debt the body without the spirit is dead but there is a far worse debt and you know what that is That is spiritual debt. Which is separation from God. You see the moment a Christian last breath unhurt, we take our first breath in heaven. We are absent from the body and immediately present with the Lord. Then in God time, we receive our glorified bodies at the second coming. This is a marvelous thing we are looking at. To the unsaved, it's clearly state that when they die, the spirit goes to an everlasting existence, which is hell. teaches, dear Israel, for every person who willingly and knowingly reject Christ as Lord and Savior. Many passages can be quoted to support this fact. We can turn to Matthew 5, verse 22 and 29. And I'm reading from the King James Version. But I tell you that anyone who's angry with his brother will be subjected to judgment. Again, anyone who says to his brother, Rucca, is answerable to the Sanhedrin. But anyone who says, you fool, will be in danger of the fire of hell. Now the mention of this word hell is in Matthew 13 41 to 42 and I'm reading from the NIV. The son of man will send out his angels and they will weed out of his kingdom everything that causes sin and all who do evil. They will throw them into the fiery furnace where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth. And I have two more scripts to read in Revelation 20 verse 14 and 15. Then death and Hades were thrown into the lake of fire. The lake of fire is the second death. If anyone name was not found in the book of life, he was thrown into the lake of fire. And final, 2 Peter 2 verse 4, for if God did not spear angels when they sinned, but sent them to hell, putting them in the gloomy dungeon to be held for judgment. The question is asked, will a living God send a man to hell? The answer from Jesus and the teaching of the Bible is clearly, yes. He does not send man willingly, but man condemns himself to eternal hell because in his blindness, stubbornness, and love of sinful pleasure, He refuses God's way of salvation and the hope of eternal life with him. I now close with this verse, Revelation 21, verse 3 and 5. And this will explain what heaven will be like. And I heard a loud voice from thrones saying, now the dwelling of God is with men and he will live with them. They will be his people and God himself will be with them and be their God. He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more debt or mourning or crying or pain for the old order of things has passed away. What a glorious day that is gonna be. As I allow my imagination to run wild on the joys of heaven, I find that our minds are incapable of conceiving what it will be really like. Because we are in prison by our earthly limitation right now. But heaven is real. And hell is real. And when I go to a funeral these days, it's sad. that the physical body has been taken with pain, suffering, but the hope that the Christian has is that when we receive that glorified body, what a great day that would be. You see, if Adam did not sin, there would be no debt. Can you imagine? We'd be living forever. but sin came into this world and causes death and causes our great creator to send his only son to redeem us unto himself. I know you didn't get a four to five minute sermon this morning but I want you to leave here thinking about what is bestowed for us What glorious days ahead! For the unsaved, you still have chance right now to turn from your wicked ways. A sinful way of life will only bring destruction to you. I have been there. I just didn't get converted at birth. We all know that we are born in sin. And that life, the unsaved life, wrecked lives, families, the best life to live is the Christian life. Who said there is no joy in serving the Lord? Well, you have not found that for a Savior yet, because there is joy. I happen to buried my cousin last Friday morning. And one of the things that was bothering me that I could not reach out to him. He would not answer his phone. I called the sisters. And there was a concern on my heart if he had changed from his ways. Because he was big and strong. yet cancer take him out. But you know what I thought of is, I thought of that cancer may be a dangerous disease, but you have time if you're unsaved to repent on your sickbed. It may take you to the grave, but if you're unsaved, you have enough time. It gives you time to turn your life around. So, my friends, let us continue to pray for the unsaved. Let us seize every opportunity to witness, because I did not get time to see him. I couldn't find him until he died, they called me. But, he was able to turn his life around, because some minister went there, witnessed to him. So, I was at peace with myself. time is short. Enjoy your family. Have Bible studies. forgive each other. because we have a goal in heaven. With this, I close and if You can see our deacon, our brother, and we can pray with you. I have your closing hymn. When we all get to heaven, what a glorious day that will be. Get to heaven, day of rejoicing that
