Gospel Community By Letter

Paul's opening to his letter to the Philippians in Phil. 1:1-2 affirms the Gospel community Christians have with one another and with God as His people in union with Christ. These two little verses are meant to cultivate in us a mindset which treasures that community enough to pursue the depths of its reality.

1. The Senders: Servants of Christ

2. The Recipients: All the saints in
   Christ (1:1b)

3. The Greeting: Grace and peace from
   God our Father and Christ our Lord
   (1:2)
