There's going to be a payday
someday. For the good and the bad. For the good and the bad. Payday someday. Let's go back
and read in verse number 416. Now, onward for a little way. For even in Thessalonica you
sent a gift more than once for my needs. Not that I seek a gift
itself, but I do seek the profit which it increases to your heavenly
account, the blessing which is accumulating for you. But I have
received everything, and full and more, I am amply supplied,
having received from Epaphroditus the gifts that you sent me. They
are a fragrant aroma of an offering, an acceptable sacrifice which
God welcomes and in which he delights. And my God will liberally
supply and fill every deed according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus. To
our God and Father be the glory forever and ever. Amen. Remember
me and every saint in Christ Jesus. The brothers who are with
me greet you. All of God's people wish to be
remembered to you, especially those of Caesar's household.
Grace and the Lord Jesus Christ be with your spirit. Now let's go back and look at
it and see how far we go in this message. Now we have a church
sending support for missionaries, which we have. There are associations and conventions
how the churches meet together and they gather funds and they
send to missionaries all over the world. and even in places. I remember in America, the Baptist
Associations in America, they looked upon dealing with American
Indians here as a foreign ground. One thing that was so bad about
that at that time is that they had Indian schools, which were
basically Indian prisons, and some of my family were in them.
And they were torture places, it was like concentration camps. And they had so soured the Indians
on the preachers, the priests, and the Catholic Church, the
Presbyterians, and all of the Methodists, all of these people
that had run these schools. The Baptists never ran any of
them, by the way, they never did this. but they preached and
were missionaries among them, but it was very hard to deal
with them because they had looked at the white man as such a wonderful
message, but a terrible messenger. So it made it more difficult.
I remember Brother Hubbard told me one time, I wrote a book,
Introduction to the Thostom Customs of the American Indian, Volume
1 and 2, and he read that book. He said he understood just a
little bit more of what his father told him. His father was a missionary
among the Indian people, the Creek Nation. And his father
came home one day and said he was going to quit. He said, we've
done more harm to these people than we ever will do any good.
He said, we've done so much damage that I don't know whether we
can ever recover from it. Of course, we have some missions
in Winter Rock, Arizona, Brother Hawthorne. among the Navajo people,
different ones in different places, that come back and really have
done some good work. But it was very difficult in
the early times. But this gives you an example here of mission
work. When Brother Jacob Busa, Sir
Jacob Busa, when he, after World War II, he wanted Neal Morley
to go down there and establish churches in the missionary Baptist
churches in the Solomon Islands. And he did that. And there's
still a lot of people down there in those areas that would have
never heard the gospel of Jesus Christ had it not been for Jacob
Busa and Neal Morley. In the Solomon Islands, Gary
Max, not the Solomon Islands, but in New Zealand, Gary Max
down there that I went to school with, a good friend of mine,
and many others down in the Philippines and the Solomon Islands all over,
mission work. And this is where it comes from.
It's a scriptural thing. Here we have a biblical example
of mission work. Because, indeed, here we have
a particle of affirmation. with the same chi, word chi,
in page 208. You can look at it, it's quite
a column there, how different ways it's used. Because, and
we have the conjunction here, and chi is usually a conjunction,
or many times a conjunction, but here it's a particle of affirmation,
like yes, indeed, because yes, indeed, in Thessalonica, both,
here now, this is not a conjunction, again, this accumulative part,
both, once, Hapox, now that, once for all, a little adverb.
Once for all, Jude 5 and 36 and different places in the Bible
you'll say, Jesus Christ died once for all. Not to be offered
as a, in communion in the Catholic Church and crucified over and
over and over again, but he was offered one time. Hapox. Both once and twice. Hapox kaides,
des, means division, or twice. Twice again. unto the need of
me. That ace there, extension of
the limitation of the thought of verbal action, page 119. Because the need of me. In Acts
2.38 it says you're baptized for the remission of sins. That's
what it says in translation, but it says here, this is because
of. And there it should be because
of, in Acts 2.38 also, you're baptized because of the remission
of sins, not for the remission of sins. Because of. The need
of me, because of the need of me, ye sent. Second person plural, first arias
in digne vacu, from pimpo, that word there, epopse. Verse number 17 now, uc hote
epizeto. To doma ola epizeto ton carpon
ton plionazonta eis the goal, him own. Remember I told you
the title of this message is Payday Someday. That's what it's
talking about. That two last verses, they gave. When that church gave, God put
to their account their rewards. When you give to God, you get
rewarded for it. When you give to God in labor
or whatever you do, you get rewarded for it. Maybe not here, Now,
the prosperity gospel is, you go down, if you give me $5 today,
God's gonna give you $500 tomorrow. That's not the gospel. If you give God $5 today, in
eternity, you will receive a reward for it. Brother Madden told me, one of
my barely, barely, barely, deeply beloved brethren, like my father
in the faith. He pastored a church in Anaheim,
California for years. He taught at California Missionary
Baptist Institute, CMBI, also. And I was one of his students,
and I went all over the world with that man. We went all over
the Middle East and Europe together and then back. And he told me
about a little lady there. Her husband was an alcoholic,
but she was a very faithful church member. And she did all kinds
of stuff to make a little extra money. And she gave money to
Brother Madden. Every time he was going to go
down in South America, he had missionaries down in Columbia
and different places in South America. She'd always come up
there after church and she'd hand him three or four dollars.
He said, Brother Madden, this is for you, to take for you,
to help you on this trip. He said, that was the biggest
offering I got. That's the biggest offering I got. Other people
gave, but that was the biggest offering because that woman was
giving a lot. It may have been only a few dollars,
but it was a lot. And it was added to her account,
what we might call her investments. The investments you won't even
receive in this life many times, but she will receive it for all
eternity. Uc hote epizeto. Not that, the adverb of indigation
there, uc, hote conjunction. Not that I seek, jealously seek. This means jealously seek. I
am seeking. First person singular, present
indicative, active. This means constantly. Now, a lot of your
televisitors out there, tele-evangelists or whatever you want to call
them, You'll never hear them preach that they don't ask you
for money. I can use it. You can send it. But I don't
ask you for that very often. Especially at the end of the
year like this. He said, I'm not seeking to take from you jealousy wanting
your money. I've seen people come in and
look at something. Boy, I want that. And boy, they'll
try to figure out how to get it. You know, I want to figure
out how I'm going to get that. A car or whatever, you know. Not that I am zealously, jealously
seeking the gift. Strong adversity of conjunction,
page 15, that Allah. But I seek jealously. I do seek jealously. First person
singular, present indicative. And that's epizatio. at the owner,
strengthens that word. I very jealously seek the fruit. Fruit, carphone. The fruit. You know, when you're born again
and saved, some people are real good evangelists. You know, I am amazed at Maryland sometimes. She will really talk to people
about her Savior and her Lord. She does. We'll go someplace
and she'll talk to them about the Lord. She'll talk to them
about God. And that's good. She's got a little gift to do
that. And I don't say much about it, but I really am amazed every
time she does some little thing like that. That is being an evangelist because
she wants them to know the same Savior she says. That is the fruit of your salvation. You are bearing fruit for the
Lord when you do that. When you give to somebody, I
mean, I used to go to Valley Baptist Church in Beggarsville,
California, and it's a very big church. There's 10,000 people
in that church, a lot of people. And I went there when it was
not so large, and then I saw it grow. And I saw this one old
farmer boy there. He was sat there. He had his
red over... He had his pants, and he had these red suspenders
on all the time. Very quiet, never said anything.
But that man was there every service. And I know that he gave. I saw him giving. I saw him giving,
giving, giving, giving, giving, giving. That man will have a
great reward in heaven. The least shall be first, many
times. The least shall be first, and the first shall be last.
And that is what we're talking about in this bank account, this
payday someday. Payday someday. The fruit of
the increasing, accuses singular masculine and present participle
like this, constantly increasing, pleonasal. Pleonasal. That means to sail around. It means to sail around and to
grab. increasing the count of you.
All of these little things the church did, one of these days,
we'll see it ourselves. There's a bookkeeper up there
in heaven. And we're all, what we do, we're going to get, we
will get an account for it, good or bad. But nothing you do for
the Lord is going to be unrewarded. It's going to be rewarded. We
don't do it to get to heaven. We do it because we're going
to heaven. And that is an account. It's a written ledger, this book
of books, book of works, like the books in Revelation, the
different books. We have a book of the Lamb's Book of Life, but
we also have the book of works, what we do. And nothing that
we do is for no good. I mean, it's not going to disappear. You're going to get it. Not so
much this life. Sometimes you do. I hear a lot
of those prosperity gospel people out there, God wants you to be
wealthy. He wants you to be happy. God
wants you to be happy. And you know what, if you work
real hard and things, you may become wealthy, but this is your
prescription now to become rich, they say. You do this, you do
this, you do this, and you're going to become rich. There's
a lot of these people that They have these real estate people
on there and they'll get up there and they'll say, well, I became
a millionaire in six months or a year or whatever. I never had
to cut out a dime and I had to do this and do this and now I
own all this property and things. And that's kind of like the prosperity
gospel. Promising you things that may
not happen. Look at all the people down in
Los Angeles right now that lost everything they had and a lot
of them didn't have any insurance on the homes because California
is so terrible shape. Politically, they are an absolute
chaos. And it's hard to get insurance
on home down there. I mean, we fought to keep insurance
on the farm down there. We lost it two or three times,
then they'd reinstate us. It's scary when you have thousands
of dollars in something, and you don't have any insurance
on it, and somebody decides to go burn it up, and they do it
every day. You never know. They go in there, and there's
totally empty homes out there. Break into them, and empty homes,
and they'll set them on fire. Burn them down. Destroy all evidence. That happens every day. 418. aperco de ponta cae padricio

first person singular, present indicative, active, from apo
and echo. But I, or moreover, I continue
to have all things. Panta, that means everything.
in much abundance, more than abundance, continue in abundance,
continue to overflow, first person singular, present indicative,
active, primary ratio. I continually have all things
and more than I need. And I have been caused to be
filled and overflowing. First person singular, perfect
indicative, passive, from below radio. I have been caused to
be overflowing, more than abound, more than bountiful, having received,
ex hominos, nomine singulare, mascan, first aries, participle,
middle voice, having received for myself from Apophroditus,
he was a missionary treasurer, Apophroditus was, from Apophroditus,
the things from beside you all, para, from or beside you all,
osmein, an odor of fragrance. Now he's going back from this
ozo, this word ozo, it means to smell perfume. It's a Hebraism
from the Old Testament. It's used two times in the New
Testament. Osmein, an odor of fragrance, and this is what God
used to, they had this perfume, they had this very odorous incense
in the tabernacle, in the temple area, and it was a very sacred
smell. And Paul is saying that your
giving to me is like a sacred fragrance to God. This oso here. Of sweet smell, you odious. Good smell, you good odious. Good odor, we got a word odor
right out of that. It's an adjective and genitive
of quality. A sacrifice. An offering of a
sacrifice. Romans 12 and 1. And back in
Old Bay, book in the book of Exodus, where they made sacrifices
to the Lord. And all these sacrifices were
a sweet smell to God because they were giving to Him something
that they had. What we have when we give something
to God, it is very... He is a happy receiver. We ought
to be happy givers. Paul said he loved the people
that were hilarious givers. Happy. Happy to give. You know,
Moses, when he got out there in the wilderness, and the Israelites
at one point, they really changed their mind like they changed
their clothes, but that didn't happen. Anyway, they changed
their mind. Every day they were different
people, it seemed like. But they got out there, and he told them
to give articles of their clothing, different precious-type weavings,
and gold and silver and bronze and all of this. He asked them
to give for the building of the tavern, I thought. And they gave
so much that he said, hey, you're giving too much. It would be nice if a preacher
could say to his church, you guys are giving too much. You're
giving too much. Really, are we? If we give everything
we have, we're not giving too much. A sacrifice acceptable,
theseon, dectane. That means, that is, that, dectane,
it comes from the word hand, basically. And it means that
we can put in somebody's hand, acceptable, well-pleasing, eurasteon,
good-pleasing, God's pleasure, a spiritual reward, one of these
days is going to spring up in heaven when we're there like
a great field. You know, talk about the sower
went out to sow and some came up in tenfold, twentyfold, a
hundredfold, sometimes manyfold, a thousandfold. And that's the
way people are. Some give a little, some give
a lot. Some sacrificially give because what they give literally
is a great sacrifice to them because they don't have enough
to live on. And the last four or five years in America, we've
had some really devastated people that lost everything they had.
They had to basically cash in all their savings to just live,
and now they have nothing. A spiritual reward in heaven
is laid up for us one of these days, a payday someday. 419 now,
Ho Dei Theos, Mu Plaerose, Fason, Carain, Himon, Cata, To, Plutos,
Auto, and Doxe, in Christu Isu. Mo over the God of me, he shall
fill up, third person singular future indicative from Plaero,
he shall fill up all your need, all the need of you. Creon, the
need of you. Little accusive singular from
Creomai. According to Kata, page 213, according to the abundance,
the treasure house overflowing is what it says there. The word
abundance there means the treasure house is overflowing of him in
glory, in Christ Jesus. God's glorious treasure house
is full and not able to be pillaged. How many people invested out
there in a a business or a what we might call real estate or
even some type of mutual fund and it was all gone up one day
and it's gone the next. 9-11 really just wiped out so
many people's lifetime savings and some of them were very old
people in their 70s. It wiped out. We lost a lot in that 9-11
deal. A lot of bad investments, bad
people. Whatever you invest in God's work will never be lost. It's there forever. It's eternal
investment. Our rewards are secure. Our investments
are secure. 4 and 20 now. To-de-the-o-cai-pa-tri-him-on-he-do-xa-es-tus-a-ya-nas-ton-ya-non-a-man. And to God, and to the God, and
the Father of us, the glory, the doxa, the glory unto the
ages of the ages. The ages of the ages. In the
Septuagint, it's translated from the Hebrew Olam. And that means
a time that you cannot see the end of. Olam. You just go back and you just
imagine how far you can see something. And you can imagine, like, you
can sit here in Fish Lake Valley, you can go up on White Mountain,
and some days you can see all the way to Utah. And that's right
on the California side. California is right there, and
here's Boundary Peak. Look over there all the way to
Utah. Look as far as you can look. Look with a telescope out
there in space as far as you can look. And that's where it
begins. Not where it ends, it's where
it begins. Now our investments in the Lord are greater than
we can ever imagine. This Olam, Iona in the Septuagint,
that's the Greek translation of the Hebrew Old Testament, it means to reach the absolute
extremity of your understanding And that's where it just begins.
The Father rest glory unto the ages of the ages. Amen. Amen from the Hebrew amen, from
the Persian amen, from the Greek amen, from the English amen.
Comes through all those languages. It means it's firm and faithful
and unstoppable and just, it will not dissolve. Aspazaste,
Panta, Hageon, and Christu Isu, Aspazontai, Hemos, Hoi, Sin,
Emoe, Adelphoi. Ye greet all the holy ones, all
the saints, and by the way, the saints are not what the Catholic
Church calls saint. You are a saint. All of you are
saints. You're not of this earth. When
you're born of God, you're born not of this earth. That's the
saint. And we're all saints, we're all holy, not of earth,
in Christ Jesus. They greet you, third person
plural, present indicative, middle voice. They greet you for themselves. And the ones with me, brothers.
My book's falling apart here. And it's got two more verses.
Maybe I can make out what it says. And ye greet for yourselves, third
person plural future, or present indicative middle voice, ye greet
for yourselves all the ones holy, all the saints, especially, most
especially, That's a superlative here of Mala. Very great and much, but the
ones out of Caesar's house. Now, Paul was put in prison.
And as he was in prison, he preached to some of the people that were
actually from the family and some of the workers from Caesar's
own house. And they got saved. They'd never been saved if Paul
hadn't been in prison. For God is able to use all things
to work together those that are called to his purpose. was a
good. Then it says, He caris tu curio
esu Christu meta tu numatos himon. The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ
with you all in the spirit, in your spirit. Now it wouldn't
be very long now after this letter was written that Nero will commit
suicide, but he will also persecute. He's going to have the Apostle
Paul beheaded. He's going to have Peter crucified upside down. And yet all the bad things that
Nero did, he will answer for. He's going to have a payday some
day. But Paul will have a payday someday. I don't know whether
he's received all rewards yet for what he gets. We all shall have a payday someday.
All of us will have a payday someday. Some the good, and some
the bad. Either at the judgment of all
the saints, which all will be good, or at the Great White Throne
Judgment where people are judged of what degree in hell they're
going to spend. But your investments are secure
in Christ Jesus, and there will be a payday someday. Our Father,
we send this message out for your honor and glory as we finish
the book of Philippians. Father, please use it wherever
it goes. Honor yourself with it. Just
I tried to lift up your son and the sacrifice he made every time
and every verse and every message. Please use it wherever it goes.
Pray that you call the loss to yourself and to the save that
you will just encourage them with your word and to give them
the tools that they need in this world to be happy. and to work
for you. In Jesus name I pray and please
forgive me where I fail you. Amen.
