Hey, good morning, everyone. Welcome to another Morning Devotion with Brother Mark, where we are walking together on our walk with Christ. Today is December 31st, 2024. Well, you know, I'm reading right now in The Practice of Prayer, G. Campbell Morningan, this book, copyrighted 1906, one of my favorite books, this book, 118 years old. Anyway, In it, G. Kimball Morgan mentions the statement that Jesus made that men ought always to pray and never to faint. And Morgan makes this quote in the book. Our Lord declared that men ought always to pray and not to faint. And that is a very profound word. It is evident that his conception of life is that if men pray, they will not faint. And conversely, if men do not pray, then they will then they will faint. So I want you to think about that as we're looking forward to a new year 2025. And I want you to keep that word in mind, may not always to pray and never to faint. That means you ought to always pray. And as Morgan says, if you pray, then you will not faint. So as you look forward to 2025, if you make prayer a vital part of your life, then you'll know that you won't faint at the events that happen. But if you don't pray, then when trials, tribulations, and heartaches come, then you're going to faint. Because like he said, conversely, if men do not pray, then they are going to faint. And so it's just really a simple thought, but I thought it was a fantastic thought for us to consider today. Again, Luke 1.18, men ought always to pray and never to faint. And so as you look forward to 2025, look forward to it with prayer so that you won't faint. And let's remember that if you don't pray, you will faint. Heavenly Father, we just come to you praying for a new year, thankful for new opportunities, and we thank you for wisdom that we find from men like G. Campbell Morgan. This book, The Possibilities of Prayer, The Practicalities of Prayer, The Practice of Prayer, what a blessing it is, and I pray, God, that we will all understand the importance of prayer, and we will offer up our prayers to you, because we know that you're God, And we know that you're powerful and that you can work in our lives. And I pray that you will help us to keep our eyes on you as we look forward to 2025. In the name of Jesus, we pray. Amen. Well, I hope you have a safe and happy new year and look forward to more devoted devotions with Brother Mark.
