The book of Exodus, second book of the Bible, chapter 14, please. We're going to read from verse 26 down towards the end of this chapter and on into chapter 15. We're coming to that portion in revelation of the Song of Moses and the Song of the Lamb. That's why we want to read this particular portion tonight.
So, Exodus chapter 14. And we're reading from verse 26. We're going to be turning over to Revelation chapter 15 as well in due course. But we're starting here, Exodus chapter 14, and we're reading from the 26th verse.
And the Lord said unto Moses, Stretch out thine hand over the sea, that the waters may come again upon the Egyptians, upon their chariots, and upon their horsemen. When Moses stretched forth his hand over the sea, and the sea returned to his strength, when the morning appeared, and the Egyptians fled against it, and the Lord overthrew the Egyptians in the midst of the sea. And the waters returned and covered the chariots and the horsemen and all the host of Pharaoh that came into the sea after them. There remained not so much as one of them.
But the children of Israel walked upon dry land in the midst of the sea, and the waters were all unto them on their right hand and on their left. Thus the Lord saved Israel that day out of the hand of the Egyptians, and Israel saw the Egyptians dead upon the seashore. And Israel saw that great work which the Lord did upon the Egyptians. And the people feared the Lord and believed the Lord and His servant Moses.
Then sang Moses and the children of Israel this song unto the Lord, and spake, saying,
I will sing unto the Lord, for he hath triumphed gloriously. The horse and his rider hath he thrown into the sea. The Lord is my strength and song, and he has become my salvation. He is my God, and I will prepare him and habitation, my Father's God, and I will exalt him.
The Lord is a man of war, The Lord is his name. Pharaoh's chariots and his host hath he cast into the sea. His chosen captains also are drowned in the Red Sea. The depths have covered them. They sank into the bottom as a stone.
Thy right hand, O Lord, is become glorious in power. Thy right hand, O Lord, has dashed in pieces the enemy. And in the greatness of thine excellency, thou hast overthrown them that rose up against thee. Thou sentest forth thy wrath, which consumed them as stubble. And with the blast of thy nostrils, the waters were gathered together. The floods stood upright as in heap, and the depths were congealed in the heart of the sea.
The enemy said, I will pursue. I will overtake. I will divide the spoil. My lust shall be satisfied upon them. I will draw my sword. My hand shall destroy them. Thou didst blow with thy wind. The sea covered them. They sank as lead in the mighty waters.
Who is like unto thee, O Lord, among the gods? Who is like thee, glorious in holiness, fearful in praises, doing wonders? Thou stretchest out thy right hand, the earth swallowed them. Thou in thy mercy hast led forth thy people, which thou hast redeemed. Thou hast guided them in thy strength unto thy holy habitation.
The people shall hear and be afraid. Sorrow shall take hold on the inhabitants of Palestinia. Then the Dukes of Edom, shall be amazed. The mighty men of Moab, trembling, shall take hold upon them. All the inhabitants of Canaan shall melt away. Fear and dread shall fall upon them by the greatness of thine arm. They shall be as still as a stone till thy people pass over, O Lord, till the people pass over which thou hast purchased.
thou shalt bring them in, and plant them in the mountain of thine inheritance, in the place, O Lord, which thou hast made for thee to dwell in, in the sanctuary, O Lord, which thy hands have established. And the Lord shall reign forever and ever.
For the horse of Pharaoh went in with his chariots and with his horsemen into the sea, and the Lord brought again the waters of the sea upon them. But the children of Israel went on dry land in the midst of the sea. And Miriam the prophetess, the sister of Aaron, took a timbrel in her hand, and all the women went out after her with timbrels and with dances.
" We're going to end there at verse 20. And we know the Lord will add His blessing as we have read that portion. And then please, if you turn over to Revelation chapter 15. This is a short chapter here in the book of the Revelation. We're going to take just a moment and read these eight verses as well.
Revelation chapter 15. I would suggest to you there is a parallel between what we have been reading tonight there in Exodus and what we come now to read here in Revelation chapter 15. Revelation chapter 15, verse 1, And I saw another sign in heaven, great and marvelous, seven angels having the seven last plagues, for in them is filled up the wrath of God. And I saw, as it were, a sea of glass mingled with fire, And them that had gotten the victory over the beast, and over his image, and over his mark, and over the number of his name, stand on the sea of glass, having the harps of God. And they sing the song of Moses, the servant of God. and the song of the lamb saying, great and marvelous are thy works, Lord God Almighty, just and true are thy ways, thou King of saints. Who shall not fear thee, O Lord, and glorify thy name? For thy only art holy, for all nations shall come and worship before thee, for thy judgments are made manifest.
And after that I looked, and behold, the temple of the tabernacle of the testimony in heaven was opened. And the seven angels came out of the temple, having the seven plagues clothed in pure and white linen, and having their breasts girded with golden girdles. And one of the four beasts gave unto the seven angels seven golden vials, full of the wrath of God, who liveth forever and ever. And the temple was filled with smoke from the glory of God and from His power. And no man was able to enter into the temple till the seven plagues of the seven angels were fulfilled.
" Amen. We know the Lord will add His blessing the reading of His Word tonight to all of our hearts. We're going to be looking at the first four verses of this 15th chapter tonight. But as we come to that, let's bow in prayer and ask the Lord for His help as we come to His Word tonight.
Our Father, we pray that Thou will bless us as we consider Thy Word. We thank Thee for these things that are written in Scripture. We thank Thee, Lord, for Thy great dealings with the enemies of God in the past, and we have been reading of those tonight. It is our prayer, Lord, that we would be on the side of Christ. Oh, rejoice our hearts tonight that that is so. And if we are those, Lord, who have come to know Him, then let us rejoice that He will triumph over all His foes. And we pray, Lord, for those who still are opposed to Him. who still are unconverted, who've never bowed the knee to Jesus Christ, never come to know Him, never come to trust in Him for salvation. We pray that Thou would draw this night on to Thyself. So have mercy, close us in now with Thee for these moments we ask in Jesus' name. Amen.
It would be natural to assume that Once we had reached the place there where we considered the Lord pouring out his judgment upon the nations that had gathered around Jerusalem, that we would proceed to his actual coming. And yet that is evidently not the case when we come to the end of Revelation chapter 14.
And now as we begin to read into Revelation chapter 15, Chapter 14, we finished off thinking about the harvest and then the vintage that was gathered in as well. The harvest is a reference to the grain harvest, how the Lord is going to separate the wheat from the chaff and gather his people into the garner. And then there's a reference to the vintage, to those vines that are gathered, not into some place of safekeeping, but rather into the wine press of the wrath of Almighty God.
And we have spoken about what that represents, about those nations that are going to gather around Jerusalem just prior to the coming of the Lord. And therefore, you would think, well, now we've arrived again at this point, that the Lord is surely going to come, and the next chapter is going to tell us that and relate to us His coming. And yet that is not the case, because this is one of those places in the book of the Revelation where the Lord stops and takes us back and then begins to cover the same period of time once more.
There are further things that he would have us to notice and to understand before we get to that place where he comes, because we will get there eventually. It's in chapter 19 that we get to that place where the Lord will come. with power and great glory, but before that time comes along, there are other things that the Lord would have us to take notice of.
And the best way of illustrating that to you is simply go back to the start of the New Testament and think about the fact that there are four gospel accounts that give us the life of the Lord Jesus. Those four gospels cover the same period of time, and yet each one of those gospels have a different emphasis. Matthew has a different emphasis to the others, and the same with Mark and Luke and John. And while they cover the same period of time, in many respects end up with the same conclusion, the resurrection of the Lord Jesus and his ascension again to heaven.
There is a difference in emphasis in each one of those gospel records. And in order to give us the complete picture that the Lord would seek to convey to us, we have four gospel accounts in the New Testament. Well, in some ways, the Lord is doing that as well when we come here to these momentous events that are going to precede His second coming. And the Lord will stop at a particular point, having brought us so far, and take us back and then begin again to fill in details.
We've already got to this point in the book of the Revelation before, at the end of chapter 6. In the opening of the seals, we got to seal number six, and it would seem there the Lord is about to come, and yet that didn't happen. The Lord took us back, and He's been filling in so many more details, and now we seem as if, well, we've reached the same place again. Surely the Lord is about to appear, and that's what the record is going to show next, and yet it doesn't. The Lord takes us back over that same period, leading up to those that time of His appearing, those days and months, years just prior to His coming. And once more, He's going to fill in certain things here, beginning in chapter 15. These two chapters go together, 15 and 16. They form a whole in that sense. And in many ways, they are the Follow on from what you read in chapter 11, verse 14, because it tells us there about the second woe is past, and behold, the third woe cometh quickly. Revelation chapter 11 and verse 14. The second woe has come and then has passed. It says, and behold, the third woe cometh quickly.
Well, when we get now to chapter 15 and on into chapter 16, we're going to read about that third and final woe that is coming upon the inhabitants of the earth. There are some other connections there to draw between chapter 11 and chapter 15, because chapter 11 speaks about a temple that is in heaven that is opened. If you turn back there and, for example, look at the very last verse of chapter 11, it says the temple of God was opened in heaven, and there was seen in his temple the ark of his testament, and there were lightnings, and voices, and thunderings, and an earthquake, and great heel. Well, we have read something similar to that here in this 15th chapter. For example, verse 5, So, the same thought is here in chapter 11 as it is in chapter 15. That's why I'm saying there's a going back here in many respects, and the Lord is going to show us some new things that He hasn't been emphasizing before. But there is the same thought as there was in chapter 11. The temple is opened in heaven, and there are certain things that we're going to see. There are certain things that are going to come out of that temple. And so it is here in chapter 15.
And chapter 15 particularly highlights these seven last plagues. And emphasis is on the last, the last plagues. Here are the last plagues that are going to fall upon the world just prior to His appearing. Now, before we get on to consider the seven last plagues that are mentioned here, there are some things that the Lord would particularly draw to our attention before we get there. And that brings us to Revelation chapter 15, verses 1, 2, 3, and 4. because there's this prelude that is given to us in many ways to encourage us, many ways to show who is on the victory side and what side is going to get the victory because there is no dispute here as to which side is going to come forth victorious. Christ is going to have the victory.
And in a sense, men and women, we are like those Israelites standing on the shores of the Dead Sea watching what the Lord had done to the Egyptians. There is a little bit of a parallel here. between that view that was given to the children of Israel as they observed what the Lord had done to their enemies, to what you now read in Revelation chapter 15. Because remember at the close of the chapter 14, we spoke about those nations that were gathered around Jerusalem. And we spoke about even the significance of that last verse and those words that are found in that last verse of chapter 14, that the winepress was trodden without the city, and blood came out of the winepress, even unto the horse bridles by the space of 1,600 furlongs. And we talked about that distance, and we picked up some places that are mentioned in Scripture in particular connection with that time when those nations will gather, and the Lord will come and deal with them. And how that distance is, somewhere in the region of 1,600 furlongs, or 200 mile, as we would understand it tonight. There's going to be a people who are safe. There are going to be a people who are untouched. by those judgments. Just the same way as Israel stood on the shore of the Dead Sea and watched and observed what God had done with the Egyptians, so here in Revelation chapter 15, we come to think about a similar picture.
There's a sea that is mentioned here in these opening verses of chapter 15, a molten sea. There's a song that is connected with those days that we have read of in Exodus 14 and Exodus 15. They sing the song of Moses. We read that song there tonight. That song will ultimately be fulfilled in this day that we are reading of here in Revelation chapter 15. There are parts of that song that are not yet fulfilled. that the Lord has not yet fully brought to pass, but one day He will, He shall. And we're reading off it here in chapter 15 now when we come to look at these things.
But by way of prelude to this, these vials of wrath that are going to be poured out, I want you first of all, it's just two points I want to make tonight. I want you first of all to notice that the chapter begins with reference to
another sign in the heavens. another sign in the heavens." The opening words, and I saw another sign in heaven. And that's immediately going to make us to think, well, where are the other signs? If this is another one, then where are the previous ones? And what's the connection with the previous ones? And you have to go back to chapter 12 and the beginning of chapter 12, and you will find the two other signs that are referred to as being in the heavens. So again, if you mark your Bible or join them up in some particular way, you can join up these three signs that are mentioned here.
Revelation chapter 12 and verse 1, and there appeared a great wonder in heaven. a woman clothed with the sun, and the moon under her feet, and upon her head a crown of twelve stars, and she being with child cried, travailing in birth, and pained to be delivered." So there's a sign that appears in the heaven, and that's the point to notice here. Not just that it's a sign, but it's a sign in the heavens. And then look at verse 3 of Revelation chapter 12, and there appeared another wonder. in heaven. The word is syne. It's exactly the same as what we have in Revelation chapter 15 translated as syne. So even though it's the English word wonder, we're taking it to be the very same thing.
So verse 3, Revelation 12 verse 3, there appeared another wonder in heaven. Behold, a great red dragon having seven heads and 10 horns and seven crowns upon his head. So there's the second wonder that there is in the heavens. And now when we come over to chapter 15 and verse 1, we read about another sign or another wonder in heaven. And what is it this time? Well, we're told that it's great and marvelous. Seven angels having the seven last plagues, for in them is filled up the wrath of God. So here are these three signs that are found, signs in the heavens.
It's interesting to notice that God is often in the habit of giving three signs. I have said a number of times, and bear with me as I repeat it again. The book of the Revelation, to my understanding, can only be understood if we are familiar with the rest of Scripture. There is a reason why this is the last book of the Bible and not the first book or even the first book of the New Testament It's only as we familiarize ourselves with the rest of Scripture and imbibe the rest of Scripture as much as we possibly can, then we come to this book at the end of the canon of Scripture, and then we start to match up certain things.
And we have had our attention here drawn in Revelation 15 tonight to these signs in the heavens, three of them that are mentioned. And how often Does the Lord not give three signs in the Scriptures? That could be a quiz. I'm supposed to be doing the quiz for Wednesday night at the watch night. But here could be a question. What are the three signs? And who in Scripture received them? Because there's more than one individual in Scripture.
What about Moses? Let's go back to Moses. Moses was given three signs to be sent back to Egypt to bring the people out. His staff turned into a serpent and then turned back to a staff. His hand became leprous, and then it was clean. He lifted up the waters out of the Nile and poured them out, and they became blood. There's three signs that were given to Moses.
What about Gideon? I'm not going to go through every one of these individuals as to the signs that were there, but I'm just mentioning individuals that were given three signs. Gideon was given three signs when the Lord chose him and said he was to go and fight against the Midianites and that the Lord would give him victory. Three signs are recorded in Scripture.
What about King Saul when he was made king? And he could not take it in when Samuel made him king. Remember how his father's asses were lost, and they ended up in Ramah? And how Samuel then anointed him and told him that he was going to be king over the people, and Saul could not accept it. He could not see how. How could he ever be the king of Israel? And Samuel told him, there's going to be three signs that are going to meet you on the way home. And every one of those signs came to pass with regards to King Saul.
I'm not done yet. What about Elijah, that other great champion of God? Remember when he went down to the Mount Horeb, fled, and the Lord came to him, challenged him, sent him back? We read about three signs. connected with Elijah, the mighty wind, the earthquake, the fire. The Lord wasn't in any of those things, and then he heard the still, small voice of God speaking to him.
The Lord is in the habit of giving three signs. Did all of those signs happen? Were they literal as they happened? Well, none of us, I would imagine, is going to deny any of those signs in Old Testament times. that took place with regards to any of those individuals. And here we come to the book of the Revelation, and we find the Lord is continuing the same practice as He has continued all through Scripture history. He's giving signs, and He tells us there's three of them in the heavens that are going to mark those days prior to His coming.
But then you could go back to Matthew chapter 24 and find three signs that are mentioned there. When the Lord sat on the Mount of Olives, spoke to His disciples, answered those questions that His disciples had asked Him about His coming, the Lord Jesus makes mention of three signs. There's the sign of the Son of Man in the heavens, mentions that. He spoke about the putting forth of the leaves of the withered fig tree. He spoke about the lapse of the world into those conditions that there were at the times of the flood, the days of Noah and Lot returning. The Lord is in the habit of giving three signs. It wouldn't surprise us then when we come to this particular place in the book of the Revelation and we find that there are three signs to observe here. The Lord is drawing to our attention. It's in keeping with Scripture. And just when you think about those mighty interventions of God in times past, so the Lord is going to mightily intervene again.
Is it any wonder that you read there in Revelation chapter 15 and verse 1, and I saw another sign in heaven, great and marvelous, This is great and marvelous, John says. What He was made to see, these seven last plagues in the hand of these seven angels was great and marvelous. God is going to do something great. This is the final outpouring of His wrath as He will come. So there are signs here that we are to notice.
The second thing that I want you to consider is that in this prelude to this judgment, these vials of wrath being poured out, John is given a view of the triumphant state of those who have gotten the victory over the beast and his image. Before any of those details of the seven last plagues are given, John is encouraged to look at this. There's something the Lord would have him to see before those vials of wrath fall upon the earth."
The Lord is encouraging His servant, and therefore through His servant encouraging you and I. And here's something He would have us to consider tonight. He would have us to understand the ultimate outcome, even before it comes to pass. Here's the ultimate outcome. There are those who are going to get the victory. If we read on now into verse 2 of Revelation chapter 15, I saw, as it were, a sea of glass mingled with fire, and them that had gotten the victory over the beast and over his image and over his mark and over the number of his name stand on the sea of glass, having the harps of God.
So John is made to see those who have gotten the victory. The Lord would encourage his people with that sight. There are a people who will get the victory. There will be a people who will be victorious over the beast and over his mark and over his image. The devil is going to be defeated in the end. The devil's antichrist is going to be defeated in the end. The Lord wants you to see that, even before He begins filling in any more of these details. And it does get dark. As you go on into chapter 16, chapter 17, chapter 18, before we get to chapter 19 and He's actually coming, there are things said here, descriptions given, and before you ever consider any of those things, the Lord wants you to see that His cause, His people are going to get the victory. The Lord would encourage His people in that regard.
If we can take a few moments and look at some of the details here in this. First of all John sees the sea of glass mingle with fire. Now it's not the first time. that a sea of glass is mentioned. If you go way back to chapter 4 of Revelation in verse 6, we read there about that which was before the throne that John saw. Before the throne, there was a sea of glass like unto crystal. And in the midst of the throne and round about the throne were four beasts full of eyes before and behind. So there's a sea of glass mentioned there like unto crystal. But now, the development here in chapter 15 is it is mingled with fire. It is mingled with fire. There's fire that has been cast into the sea. Fire is always associated with God's wrath. It's fire from the throne. It's wrath from the throne. It's God's wrath. It's divine wrath.
There has never been a time when God has poured out His wrath unmixed upon the world. Even those great examples of His wrath, like the flood and Sodom and Gomorrah and the cities of the plain, were tempered with mercy to some degree. The world is yet to see God casting out, casting upon this world His wrath, unmingled with any mercy. And that's what's coming here.
And before that comes, John is here showing this great sight of this people who are victorious, who will overcome in that day, who will not take the mark of the beast, who will not worship his image. They are a people who have gotten the victory. They will be like those three Hebrew children who refused to fall down and worship the image of Nebuchadnezzar.
Why is there a chapter like Daniel 3 in the Bible? We can tell it to children, teach it about how the Lord intervened, those three Hebrew children cast into the fire, and how their clothes were unburned. There wasn't even the smell of burning off them when they were brought about, when they were brought out, and how Nebuchadnezzar said there is like unto a fourth individual, the Son of Man is among them.
is that the only reason why that chapter is in Daniel, or is there a significance to that? Is there going to be another day that there's an image set up and a command given to bow down and worship the image? Well, in verse 2 there of of Revelation chapter 15. It tells us of those who have gotten victory over the beast, and over His image, and over His mark, and over the number of His name. They're not going to have any part in this. They're going to resist, maybe even resist unto death. But the Lord is going to deliver them, just like He delivered those three Hebrew children in Daniel chapter 3.
Those chapters of Scripture, whether it's Exodus chapter 15, chapter 14 as well that we were reading a part out of tonight, or a portion like Daniel chapter 3, are of great significance. They're not just history. They're also prophecy. They're telling us something about the future if we had eyes to see them. There is a depth to Scripture that sometimes we fail to appreciate. just the depth of meaning that the Lord has in the Word of God in various places.
So, here's a people who have gotten a victory. Here's a people who have gotten harps. Revelation 15, verse 2 tells us, they have the harps of God in their hands. They're about to sing. They're about to praise. We read there in Exodus chapter 15 about Miriam. and those women that were going out to give praise. In verse 20, it says, in Miriam the prophetess, the sister of Aaron took a timbrel in her hand, and all the women went out after her with timbrels and with dances. They were going out to celebrate this victory. The men had gone before. Moses had led the men. That's the significance of that verse. It's something.
A different line of thought altogether, but the use of the word dance in Scripture is always used of single-sex dancing. It is not the dancing of the world today. And people try to justify it and say, oh, dancing appears in the Bible. It does. But if you turn up every one of those places, and I have done it, You will find that in every one of those places where that word appears, it refers to single-sex dancing. And here's the first place in Scripture that it appears. And Miriam is leading out the women, separate from the men. They have already gone out and sang the song. We have read that from verse 1 down there to verse 19. Now Miriam leads out the women, the young women, and they take this timbrel in their hand, and they're going to sing a very similar song.
It would suggest that, in fact, the word that is used there in verse 21, Exodus chapter 15 verse 21, and Miriam answered them, and the word them is in the masculine. which indicates that the men have already been out singing, and now she leads the women out. As it were, in answer to their song, she's going to have a song, and those women who are with her as well are going to have a song. And they're going to sing about those who've gotten the victory.
When we come to Revelation chapter 15 and verse 2, we find a very similar picture here of these individuals who have harps in their hands. They're just about to do what Miriam did. And it tells us the song that they sing there in Revelation chapter 15 and verse 3. They sing the song of Moses, the servant of God, and the song of the Lamb. They're going to sing that song that you've read and I have read tonight in Exodus 15. the words they're going to sing. And they're going to join in another part to that song because they're going to join in the song of the Lamb. So there's going to be two parts to this, not only that which recalls the Lord's deliverance there, in the shores of the Red Sea when He dealt with the Egyptians and discomforted their foes and brought about a mighty victory, and they're going to rejoice in that, the wonder workings of Jehovah God.
But they're also going to bring in reference to the Lamb. It is the Lamb who has redeemed them. It is the Lamb who has gotten the victory for them. But then if you go back to chapter 14, in the beginning of chapter 14, we notice there about the lamb that stood on Mount Zion. Revelation 14, verse 1, So the lamb has already been mentioned and drawn to our attention. Now we get into chapter 15, and they're singing the song of the lamb. They know who has gotten the victory. It was the Lord. It was the second person of the Trinity that got them the victory at the Red Sea. It was the Lamb there who got the victory for them, who came down and delivered them. And here is another song they're going to sing, having obtained the victory.
We find the words of this song there as it follows on in Revelation 15, verse 3. Great and marvelous are thy works, Lord God Almighty. Just and true are thy ways, thou King of saints. Who shall not fear thee, O Lord, and glorify thy name? For thou only art holy, for all nations shall come and worship before thee, for thy judgments are made manifest.
In that song in Revelation chapter 15, it mentions about what the nations were taught. If you go back over that song, and I certainly would encourage you to read it again, and just to take notice of the different sections of it, but it mentions there about the nations of Canaan. and what they were going to learn. Now, the events of Exodus 15 happened on the shores of the Red Sea, and yet it's talking about that which the nations of Canaan learned. We read here about nations that are going to learn something, and they're going to come and worship before Him, for Thy judgments are made manifest. There is a parallel. The same lessons that were taught and learned back there in Exodus 15 with regards to that song of Moses are going to be repeated here. In Revelation chapter 15, there's nations that are going to learn to fear God. There's nations that are going to come before God because His judgments are made manifest. These are things that the Lord would have John to notice. Before any of these vials of wrath fall upon the land, the earth, John is showing these things and made to see them. that He might have caused to rejoice, and ultimately you and I have caused to rejoice, because He's recorded them for our benefit.
I finish off with this thought tonight. That individual who was going to be the devil's Christ, in Isaiah chapter 30, And verses 32 and 33, his defeat is there set in the context of a song. Isaiah chapter 30, if you want to turn up the reference, it's the last two verses, well, the last three verses we'll take of that chapter. For through the voice of the Lord shall the Assyrian be beaten down, which smote with a rod. There's his defeat. And then it says, and in every place where the grounded staff shall pass, which the Lord shall lay upon him, it shall be with taburets and harps, and in battles of shaking will he fight with it, for Tophet, which is a name for hell. is ordained of old. Yea, for the King it is prepared. He hath made it deep and large. The pile thereof is fire and much wood. The breath of the Lord, like a stream of brimstone, doth kindle it."
And you'll think about the New Testament in 2 Thessalonians 2, where it says that the Lord will destroy him with the brightness of his coming. It's going to be an occasion for singing. It's going to be an occasion for celebration. When the Lord does this, just like it was in the shores of the Red Sea, so it will again be. When the Lord defeats all those who are opposed to Him and delivers His people, He will give them a song to sing. They will sing the song of Moses and the song of the Lamb.
Do we have the Lord's song tonight? That's my closing thought, my closing challenge tonight. Do we have the Lord's song? There's those who have the world's song. Oh, they'll sing the world's song and the praise of the things of the world and the individuals that are in the world and the ways of the world. That will have all their praise, but do you know the song that's going to last is the Lord's song? The Lord's going to silence every voice. Every voice is going to be silent, and there's only going to be one song that's going to be heard.
What must that view have been as Israel looked over the Red Sea after the Lord had dealt with Pharaoh? That sea of glass. And they were singing on the shores of that sea. There's going to be another people who are going to have the Lord's song. And they're going to sing. They're going to rejoice. Do we have the Lord's song? Is it the song of triumph through the Lamb, victory through the Lamb? May it indeed be the case this night.
Let's bow together in prayer. Our Father, we thank Thee for this prelude, this insight that Thou would have us to consider. Lord, we thank Thee for who Thou art, for the song that Thy people will sing in triumph and victory, the greatest of enemies will be defeated. O Lord, we thank Thee that we, too, will sing the song of Moses and the Lamb. We pray that we might have that song even tonight, that we've come to know the Lord's song. It's in our hearts. We're born of His Spirit. We've known redemption by the blood of the Lamb. And there is a song within our hearts. Challenge our hearts. Speak to those unconverted. Encourage those of us who are thine own. We pray this night in Jesus' name. Amen. 230 we're going to close with. Life at best is very brief. Like the falling of a leaf, like the binding of a sheaf, be in time. Fleeting days are telling fast that I will soon be cast, and the fatal line be passed. Be in time.
" I'm thinking just about what we have been considering, and also the season of the year as the year comes to an end. Let's stand and sing this hymn. 230, we'll sing all three verses in closing.
I confess that I regret that I've fallen in love with you. Be in time. Be in time. Be in time. Be in time. Be in time.

I will serve you as you come, serve you and love you for all. This, O Savior, from this day be entitled. Be entitled. Be entitled. By the voice of Jesus Christ, be entitled.

♪ Be in time ♪
♪ To her in the mourning process ♪
♪ Give the Lord your final choice ♪

Our Father, may each one of us be in time. And we know how quickly time passes, even as we come to an end of a year, the last Sabbath of a year. We pray, Lord, that we might press into the kingdom of heaven while there is time, and now is the accepted time. Bless thy word. Be with us through the time of prayer, and, Lord, abide with us tonight as we take our leave of this place and go our separate ways. We ask in Jesus' name. Amen.
