Wonderful Holy Spirit, we welcome your awesome presence in revealing your word to our hearts for this hour. Move on the hearts of the hearers. Bring conviction to the spoken word in Jesus name. In continuing our teaching, do you know God's gift he has for you? We're coming from Saint John chapter 4 verses 9. When the woman of Samaria was asking Jesus, how is it that you being a Jew asking me for anything, period? Because you know we don't deal with you all. And in part one I kind of brought out that Jesus didn't get stuck on the fact that she was looking at culture, race, heritage. We don't deal with you all. Jesus went straight to the point. If you knew the gift of God, And who it is that saith to thee, give me to drink, watch, you would have asked of him and he would have given you living water. So the proof that she did not know God's gift, you may be listening to me today, my friend. Do you know God's gift he has for you? In Romans six, verse 23, listen to what Paul is saying here. Paul is saying, for the wages of sin is death. But the gift of God is eternal life, watch, through, not apart from, not deleting or erasing or subtracting, but adding. The gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ. So God's gift, as I brought out in part one, is not an object. It's not a material thing that you can bring back to the store It may be too small too big too tight. You don't like the color No, that's gifts. You and I can go back and exchange but god's gift my friend There is no exchange for god's gift There's no receipt Listen to this good There is no receipt that you can bring God's gift back to the store and get another one. I'm hoping you're catching this. So you can take a watch back and get your money back. Pair of shoes, pair of pants, a suit, car. But God's gift, my friend, is not an object. It's a person. And listen, Paul is telling the saints at Rome The gift of God is eternal life. You see, so there's no eternal life in a home. There is no eternal life in a watch. There is no eternal life in a car, in money, in clothes, no material stuff. There's eternal life found in no material stuff, period. Eternal life is found in the person and his name is Jesus Christ. Jesus say all that come to me he will in no wise cast out Jesus say behold I stand at the door and knock If any man hear my voice and open the door I will come into him and will sup with him and he with me So the question comes my friend Do you know God's gift he has for you and Paul is telling us in Romans 6 and 23 that The payment for sin is death. And death is separation from God. My friend, you can be alive physically, but you're dead spiritually if Jesus Christ is not your personal Lord and Savior. You have many people walking the streets every day. They're alive physically. But if they have not been born again, they're dead spiritually. And if they die physically, when they're already dead spiritually, they will be eternally separated from God forever. But guess what? That's not God's will, my friend, that you perish, but that you come to repentance. So, the question comes, do you know God's gift He has for you? And back in John chapter 4, verses 9 and 10, The Samaritan woman was like, you know, we don't have no dealings with you all. Why are you even asking me anything? Jesus went straight to the point. If you knew the gift of God and who it is that's talking to you, and my friend, you that's listening to me today, do you know God's gift he has for you? And have you received God's gift? he wants to give to you today. According to John 1 and 12, but as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name. What is the key point here? John is telling us, but as many as received him, as many who has invited Jesus into their life, As many who have cried out to him and say, Jesus, change me. To them, he gave the right to become children of God. And those who receive Jesus have come to understand, if heaven is going to be your eternal resting place, you can't come to the door of heaven, nor the way apart from Jesus. Because Jesus said, I am the door. Me if any man into any shall be saved and shall go in and out and find pasture Joel 1 in 12, but as many as received him as many who have received God's gift the greatest gift that was ever given Was in the person of Jesus Christ the Bible says and she shall bring forth the Son of and thou shall call his name Jesus for he shall save his people from their sins. Then I remember the angel told the shepherds and Luke for behold I bring unto you great tidings of good or great joy which shall be to all people for unto you is born this day in the city of David a savior which is Christ. Note something the shepherds were told by the angels Unto you is born this day He came for you and I my friend For God so loved this world that he gave He didn't just tell us he loved us. He Demonstrated he showed us but God commended his love toward us in that while we were yet sinners Christ died for us so God demonstrated to you and I I Love you Love you so much. I'm gonna give heaven's best for your worse He who knew no sin became sin for us that you and I might be made the righteousness of God because of Jesus How shall we escape if we neglect Know something how shall you and I escape if we neglect so great salvation If you do not receive God's gift, my friend, guess what? Hell will be your eternal resting place. But guess what? This is why Jesus came into this world. He was born to die. He wasn't born to perform miracles. Yeah, that was Len, yeah. He was born for one purpose. He told Polly, to this end was I born. And for this cause, came I into the world. Pilate, what you're about to do to me, you're about to nail me on a cross. And this is the real reason I came into this world. God's gift, my friend, pay it's your sin debt, so that sin will not be your ruin. But the question comes today, do you know God's gift? And have you received God's gift today, my friend? I want you to stop and think for a moment. Throughout the years of your life, the close calls you've had in life and you wondered why you're still on the planet. Why you haven't checked out of here at times you know you were supposed to go. Think about God's goodness to you right there, my friend. Because if you would have died without having God's gift in your life, you would have been lost. But God was striving with you. trying to get your attention trying to wake you up to see I love you in spite of what you're doing but now I'm going to send my word in hopes you accept the gift that I'm offering you because my friend once you hear the gospel you have a decision to make choose you this day who you will serve you have a decision to make my friend whether or not you're going to accept God's gift or reject it. And guess what? There are many people right now, but you're listening to me. They're in hell right now, being in torment. And they're in that place because they simply rejected God's gift while they was on this planet. They thought they had time. I can get this laid. I can go to church. It has nothing to do with you going to a church building, my friend. It has everything to do with you coming to Jesus Christ. Jesus simply says, come unto me, all ye that labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Don't you want rest, my friend? Don't you want to know if you shut your eyes right now, that heaven will be an eternal resting place? If you do, and you've been procrastinating, it's time to stop and make a decision. Bow your head at this moment, my friend. We're going to pray. I want you to say this prayer from your heart. Say, Lord Jesus, I believe you are the son of God. I believe you came to planet earth. You hung on a cross. You shed your blood for my sins. I believe you died. You was buried and you rose again. I believe you're alive right now. Lord Jesus, forgive me of my sins. Wash me in your blood. Come into my heart. Be lord of my life from this day forward. Lord Jesus, I thank you for knowing you as the gift for receiving you into my life. I thank you that angels in heaven are now rejoicing over what I have done on the earth. Lord Jesus, thank you now for writing my name in the Lamb's book of life, signed with your blood. Lord Jesus, fill me now with your precious Holy Spirit, seal me until the day of redemption. And Lord Jesus, use me to tell others about you. Use me, Lord Jesus, to share this good news with others that you're a gift that God has given to us. And Jesus, I thank you this day. My name is written in the lamb's book of life. I thank you and I praise you in Jesus mighty name and father, I thank you for your word. I thank you for the simplicity of your word and I thank you for those who responded to your word. Thank you for those who have accepted you as the gift that god has given to us. Thank you so much for using them blessed one. I give you glory Praise and honor for it now in Jesus' name.
