Hello again, and welcome to the program. We're here, hopefully, with a little strength for today. We're looking at the signs of the soon return of the Lord. We're going to look at a sign today that nobody in this world can deny.
On May the 14th, 1948, David Ben-Gurion declared the establishment of the State of Israel. After 2,000 years of wandering throughout the world, Israel was a state once again. On May the 15th, 1948, one day later, Egypt, Jordan, Iraq, Syria, and Lebanon attacked Israel. Saudi Arabia and Yemen also sent forces to help. Israel not only survived, they thrived and has become one of the most successful nations in the world in spite of the fact that they have been under attack for the last 77 years.
In Ezekiel 20 verse number 34, God said, I will bring you out from the people and will gather you out of the countries wherein ye are scattered. In Ezekiel 36, 24, God said, I will take you from among the heathen and gather you out of all countries and will bring you into your own land. In Ezekiel 39, 28, he said three things. Then shall they know that, number one, I am the Lord their God, number two, which caused them to be led into captivity among the heathen, number three, but I have gathered them into their own land.
In Isaiah 11 verse number 12, God said he would set up an end sign for the nations and shall assemble the outcasts of Israel and gather together the dispersed of Judah from the four corners of the earth. In Psalm 107, verse number 3, and gathered them out of the lands from the east and from the west and from the north and from the south.
Ezekiel 20, verse 34, God said, I will bring you out from the people and will gather you out of the countries wherein ye are scattered. The beginning of Israel is found in Genesis chapter 12 and then in Genesis 17 verse 6, God said, I will establish my covenant as an everlasting covenant between me and you and your descendants after you for generations to come. The covenant for Abraham and his descendants to own the land of Israel is in the Bible 22 times.
And so on May 14, 1948, David Ben-Gurion declared the establishment of the State of Israel after nearly 2,000 years of them wandering. God said, I have said it, and I will do it. In Isaiah 46, 11, God said, I have spoken it, I will also bring it to pass, I have purposed it, I will also do it. In Ezekiel 24, 14, we read, I the Lord have spoken it, it shall come to pass.
In Isaiah 46, verse 9 and 10, we read that God said, I am God. There is none else. I am God. There is none like me, declaring the end from the beginning and from ancient times the things that are not yet done, saying, my counsel shall stand. I will do all my pleasure. And so we have here one of those signs that the Lord said, when you see all these things begin to happen, look up. Your redemption draws nigh.
