Philippians 4 Part 13-The Action of Love in Good Works

In Philippians 4:10 Paul speaks of the great rejoicing in the Lord that arose out of the receiving of a gift that was given to him by the Church at Philippi. This was not for the gift itself but for the love that was shown to him by this action. Love always must move us to action. “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son…” This is a challenge to be zealous for good works, to be ready for good works, to be careful to engage in good works, and to learn to engage in good works as the love shed abroad in our hearts has its outworking in these things.
