Share the Word (2)

Nehemiah 8 describes Ezra's proclamation of the Word of God. This Scripture reading took place daily for a week. God's people responded by having the Feast of the Tabernacles.

2 Timothy 3-4 describe the importance of God's Word in our lives. 2 Timothy 3 reveals how God's Word affected Paul and Timothy. God's Word is useful (2 Timothy 3:16-17).

Pastors are charged with the responsibility of preaching the Word of God (2 Timothy 4:1-8). They must do so patiently, with instruction, rebuke, correction, and exhortation (4:1-2).

False teachers will give people what they want to hear (4:3-4). Preachers should preach to the church but also do the work of an evangelist and fulfill their ministry (4:5).

Godly lives that rejoice in Christ's coming will receive a crown of righteousness (4:6-8).
