So take your Bibles and turn anywhere. We're going to be in Psalms in a little bit, but I don't know if you're going to have time to write stuff down or turn there. But if you do have your notebooks and your pens, I'm going to ask you to get those back out, and we're going to continue and finish the message we began yesterday. And we'll finish that up today. Someone give me a letter from the alphabet that we started, that we said, and just what we talked about about God. Someone right here. And what was it? DD. Very good. Somebody else. Someone, another one. He is kind. Right behind. He's a messiah. Very good. This guy with pink shirt on, which I loathe, but go ahead. L. Very good. Somebody else. Right here, front row. He's king of kings, very good. One more on the very end, that lady right there, yes, or guy. Mister, this guy over here is a special spot in my heart because his dad preached a youth rally that I was at, and when Joe Carson preached a youth rally, I still remember the decision I made. I made a decision to never date or marry someone that was not saved. That was your grandpa that preached that message and made that commitment. So anyways, go ahead. Very good, he's the alpha, very good. And O, and Omega. And what letter are we on right now? O, which is very good. We are here because Jesus rose from a grave on the third day. That's why we're here. We want you to know God. We have a great God. The God of the Bible is a great God. Do you know him? Knowing God is equal to knowing everlasting life. That's a wonderful, wonderful thing. And if you're gonna know God, you need to know who he is and what he does. Now, pastors, everybody has been taking longer, and my time is being cut into, so I really don't care. So I'm gonna just do this. You're not supposed to have favorites. Has anybody ever heard something like, if you have favorites, it hurts you? You ever heard that? You don't have a favorite? Well, I have favorites. So if your last name is spelled like this, C-L-E-M-E-N-T, I want you to come forward. Anybody that has a last name of Clement, spelled C-L-E-M-E-N-T, I have something for you. I found some people that have the exact same last spelling as me. That is a wonderful thing. So you may go have a seat. Names are important, okay? We're going through the names of God. Names are important. My full name is Daniel Andrew Clement. All of those names are in the Bible. That's one of my claims to fame. One of the differences between Arkansas and the other places I've lived is every place I've lived, like here, and until I moved to Arkansas, I've always been known as either Brother Clement or Pastor Clement, I go by my last name, used to. I moved to Arkansas and everybody is Brother, Brother, and it's not by last name, Brother Daniel, Brother so-and-so. So when I came here, I was introduced myself as, what's my, I said, hello, my name is Daniel. I'm like, oh, am I back in the last name region of the country? or first name region of the country, but it's a wonderful blessing. In our ABCs, we've gotten to the letter O, and we're gonna continue there. I'll give you some of those verses, maybe not all of them, and I am already amped up. I've had two things of coffee, and my heart is racing, and I am actively telling myself to slow down. Our God is omnipresent. Our God is omnipresent. Psalms 139 verse number seven says, whither shall I go from thy spirit, or whither shall I flee from thy presence? If I ascend into heaven, thou art there. If I make my bed in hell, behold, thou art there. He's omnipotent, Matthew 28, 18. And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, all power is given to me in heaven and earth. He opens and closes Matthew 7, verse number 7 says this, Ask and it shall be given you, seek and ye shall find, knock and what? It shall be opened unto you. Revelation 3, 7 says this, And the angel of the church in Philadelphia write, These things saith he that is holy, that is true, he that hath the keys of David, he that openeth and no man shutteth, and shutteth, and no man openeth. That's our God. He is the Prince of Peace. Isaiah 9, 6 says this, For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given, and the government shall be upon his shoulders, and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counselor, the Mighty God, the Everlasting Father, Thee, The Prince of Peace. He came the first time to earth as the Prince of Peace. And there was really only a couple times that we saw him do anything that you would say would be not considered peaceful. And those two things were cleansing the temple. And he did it twice, actually. But other than that, he was really just known as this very peaceful person. Not only is the prince of peace, but he also gives peace that passes all understanding. John 14, 27 says, peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you, not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither be afraid. You believe in God, believe also in me. Listen, he gives us a peace that does pass all understanding, which should help us know this. We were talking about God heals our hearts, and I made a little bit of fun of people that struggle with maybe a broken heart, but it really isn't funny. And there are people that deal with just anxiety, which also isn't funny. You know what God is? He's a God that you can have all kinds of things that cause anxiety and panic and heartbreak in your life, and yet you can be at peace. And people can look at your life and go, how is it that you can be at peace? And sometimes they might say this, aha, it's just a show. They're just coming to church, they're putting on a smile, they're going home, but it can't be real. You know what? If you have the King of Kings, you also have the Prince of Peace. And it can be real. And this is how it can be real. Listen, I can be at peace with whatever's going on in my life because I know one day I'm going to heaven. And this earth might not be my home, but heaven is. He is also the potentate. He is the potentate. First Timothy 6.15 says, which in times past he shall sow who is the blessed and only potentate. I like that word, by the way. It's just a wonderful word, the potentate. He is preparing a place for those that are saved. In my Father's house are many mansions. If it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you unto myself, that where I am, there ye may be also. He is a quickening spirit. Our God is a quickening spirit. Romans 8, 11 says this. But if the spirit of him that raised up Jesus Christ from the dead dwell on you, He that raised up Christ from the dead also shall quicken your mortal bodies by the spirit that dwells in you. He is a quickening spirit. His word is quick and powerful. For the word of God is quick and powerful, sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and the joints of marrow, and the discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart. In his presence, men quake. Our God, when the presence, I was talking about that, when there are people in the Bible that are in the presence of God, they get down on their hands and knees, they worship. It's almost like they can't do anything but worship God. You know what also happens? People quake in the presence of God. They fear exceedingly. Has anyone ever been afraid in their life? Oh, I remember. I remember several times being afraid. One time when I was driving, and I had just gotten engaged to Gwen, and I was driving, and I'm talking on the phone, and I don't know if you guys talk on the phone all the time, if you like some, but we did. And I'm driving, and I made this mistake. I was having a conversation with Gwen, soon to be wife. At the same time, I was having a conversation with God. I don't know if you've ever had those conversations, but I'm having these two conversations, and all of a sudden, I realize God expects me to take care of my wife 24-7. Protect her, love her, care for her. And there is zero way I can be right next to my wife 24 hours a day. And in the middle of talking to her, I said, oh no, or something like that. And she's like, what? I'm like, oh, I'm nothing. Nothing to worry about on your end, a lot to worry about on my end. Listen, I was afraid, like, how am I supposed to do this? You know what makes people afraid? Being in the presence of God. They fear, they quake, they tremble. The Bible says there's gonna be a time where the unsaved world will still reject God, but you know what they're gonna do? They're gonna call for the hills and mountains, hide us. We're still rejecting God, but we are in fear. We're not gonna accept you, but we are in fear because God is a great God. He is the resurrection and the life. John 11, 25 says this. Jesus said unto her, I am the resurrection and the life. He that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live. And whosoever liveth and believeth in me shall never die. Believest thou this? He is the resurrection and the life. He redeems sinners. Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law, being may a curse for us. For as it is written, cursed is everyone that hangeth upon the tree. He rewards the saved. Behold, I come quickly, and my reward is with me, to give to every man according to what his work shall be. He is the Savior. He is the Savior. Luke 2.11 says this. For unto you is born this day in the city of David a? A Savior, which is Christ the Lord. He is the Son Remember, those people that were crucifying Jesus Christ, they looked up and said, truly this was the Son of God. He was no ordinary man, he was the Son of God, but he was also the Son of Man. Matthew 12, verse number 40 says this. For as Jonas was three days and three nights in the well's belly, so also shall the Son of Man be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth. He is a man of sorrows. He is a man of sorrows. He was despised and rejected among men, a man of sorrows and acquainted with grief. He seeks The lost. Jesus said, I have come to seek and to save that which was lost. He's come to seek. Jesus is pursuing you right after Adam and Eve got done sinning. God came down to the Garden of Eden and God did not reject them. God did not run away from them. In fact, God was searching for them. And what were they doing? They were hiding. I mean, the same thing is true today. People that are rejecting God and they are going against God, they're running from God. The reason you're saved, because God cares enough about you to come and pursue you. He wants you to be saved. He's begging for you to be saved. He saves all that call upon him. For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved. He is truth. You know what God is? God is truth. I am the way, the what? The truth and the life. No man cometh unto the Father. That's our God. He tasted death. for every man. Our God tasted death for every single human person ever. Anyone that was ever gonna be born and that is ever gonna be born on planet Earth, Jesus Christ tasted death for every single person, even those that would reject him. He's not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance. And because of that, he tasted death for every man. But we see Jesus, who was made a little lower than angels, this is Hebrews 2.9, and suffering death, crowned with glory and honor, that he, by the grace of God, should taste death for every, and that does mean every, man. We have a God, and if you want to know God, you need to know who He is and what He does. He is the unseen God that is seen. Our God is the unseen God that is seen. John 1.18, no man has seen God at any time. The only begotten Son, which is in the blood of the Father, he hath declared him. Colossians 1.15, who is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of every creature. He's the unseen God that was seen. He also takes us under his wings. He takes us under His wings. Psalms 91 verse 4 says this, He shall cover thee with His feathers, and under His wings shalt thou trust. His truth shall be thy shield and buckler. Thou shalt not be afraid of the terror by night, nor of the arrows that flyeth by day. Listen, you don't have to be afraid because He covers you under His wings. He is the victorious King. That is our God. He is victorious. He's victorious over the devil. He's victorious over death. 1 Corinthians 15, 55. The Bible says, O death! Where is thy sting? O grave, where is thy victory? The sting of death is sin, and the strength of sin is the law. But thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through Jesus Christ our Lord. He's victorious over all those things, but also he gives us the victory. Not only did he conquer death, but he gives us the victory, which we just read. He is the word of God. Know who God is? He's the word of God. What you have in your hand, this is our God right here. The Word of God. The Word was made flesh and dwelt among us. That is Jesus Christ. He is God. In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God. And the word was God. He is the well that will never run dry. You literally can go to God over and over and over and over and over again. How many of you know someone that talks and talks and talks, and don't point up here, and talks and talks? Or that person that asks questions and asks questions? Anybody know someone like that? And that you're like, okay, Enough, you have to give me 20 minutes now of not talking, no questions. I don't want to hear from you anymore. Isn't it amazing that the God of this world will never tell us that? In fact, the opposite. It's like he's begging us, come, come to me, come to me, knock. and keep knocking, call and call and call and call. I say as a pastor sometimes, call me anytime. But I don't want people to call me at four o'clock in the morning. I do not want that to happen. But that's not God. He's the well that will never run dry. Isaiah 48, 11 says this. And the Lord shall guide thee continually, and shall satisfy thy soul in drought, and make fat thy bones, and shall be like the water garden, and shall make a spring of water whose waters fail not. He is the well that never runs dry. And then we get to X. And there's a couple that I just had to be creative with, and so I just had to be creative. He was X'd out of Christmas. I know, it's not the best, but you've seen it, you know what I mean. He was X'd out of Christmas, but he cannot be crossed out of history. He is X'd out of Christmas, but he cannot be crossed out of history. They may call it BCE or CE, but they can never remove Jesus Christ from the sands of time. They cannot do it. Jesus is forever embedded into the history and the fabric of this world. And no matter what they do, they cannot get rid of him. He is also excited about spending eternity with us. God is excited. He wants to spend eternity. That right there, if there's nothing else that you get from these two messages, He wants to spend eternity with you and I. That is amazing. In my Father's house are many mansions. If it not were so, I would have told you, I go to prepare a place for you. Why does He do that? And if I go to prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you unto myself, that where I am, There ye may be also. Why is God making some place for us to dwell in? Because he wants you and I to live with him. He's excited about that day. That should make you excited. Hebrews 12.2 says this, looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith, who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God. For consider him who endured such contradiction as a sinner against himself, lest you be weary and faint in your minds." When he was looking at the cross, it was a pain that you and I will never, never, never be able to experience. We can be whipped, we can be mailed to a cross, we can have all the physical things that he had, but we can never experience the sins of the world being placed on us. And yet he said, I'm happy to do it. I'm excited to do it because He was thinking about you and I. He is Yahweh. He is the same yesterday, today, and forever. Hebrews 13.8 says this, Jesus Christ, the same yesterday, today, and forever. His yoke is easy and His burden is light. It's light. Matthew 11 30, for my yoke is easy and my burden is light. It is easy to serve the Lord. That doesn't mean there's never any struggles. But if you have an all-powerful God that we've been trying to get you to know in these two messages, and you're yoked up with Him, no matter what comes your way, it's easy. Mountains that come your way, I think there's something about faith in the Bible that removes a mountain. Isn't that in the Word of God? It's easy. He is the zenith of everything that was, of everything that is, and everything that is to come. He's the pinnacle. He is the zenith of everything. He has also zealously cleansed the temple. He has zealously cleansed the temple. John 2.15 says this, He hath made a scourge of small cords. He drove them out of the temple, and the sheep, and the oxen, and poured out the money changers, and overthrew the tables. And he said unto them, the soldoves, take these hence. Make not my father's house a house of merchandise. And his disciples remembered, that was as written, the zeal of thine house hath eaten me up. He zealously cleansed the temple, the physical temple, where oxen and all those things were sold. But you know what happens when we get saved? You know what we become? The temple of the living God. And you know what He wants to do in your life today, tomorrow, and the next however many years you're gonna live? He wants to zealously cleanse His temple. He does not want you to be ordinary. He wants you to be extraordinary. He wants His temple to look wonderful. That's why I think it's wonderful that you're all dressed up and look so nice. but he wants to cleanse your heart, the motives of your heart, your intentions, your thoughts, your desires, and he is zealous about it. He is zealously cleansed the temple. He also zealously rebukes and chastens his children so that they can zealously serve him. He zealously rebukes and chastens his children so that they can zealously serve him. Revelation 3.19 says this. As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten. Be zealous, therefore, and repent. Listen, our God, the God of the Bible, is a wonderful God. He is an awesome God. He's a zealous God. Are you zealous about the God of the Bible? He is worth your praise. He's worthy of praise, so praise Him. He is worthy to be worshiped, so worship Him. He's worthy to be served, so serve Him. He's worthy of honor, so honor Him. He's worthy of glory, so glorify Him. He's worthy of adoration, so adore Him. He's worthy of being blessed, so bless Him. He's worthy to be called upon, so call upon Him. That is our God. The whole point of these two messages is that we would learn the God of the Bible, at least something about the God of the Bible. But then after learning all that information, I hope you've been soaking it in. I think you have been, or you're faking it, which is also good. But not that you just sit there and soak it in, but that you would say, wow, if that really is God and he's my God, I want to be zealous for him. I want people to know more than anything else that I am a Christian, that the thing that I love more than anything else, the thing that I serve more than anything else is God and Him alone. That's what the point of this message is. Knowing who God is and what He does should motivate us. If God is who He says He is and does what He says He is, then the choice to following should be an easy choice and a desirable choice. When God chose, when God said this, choose you this day whom you shall choose. If you and I were sitting there that day, which he's still looking for people to serve him, by the way, there should really be no choice. You should be, that's me, wherever your side's at. Draw the line and whichever side you're standing on, I'm right there. God shouldn't even have to get it all out. You should just be looking up there and say, man, that God, that's the God that I'm gonna follow. That's the God I'm gonna give my life to. If you've gotten halfway through this list, you should have already got to the point in your mind where you say, that's the God I'm gonna follow the rest of my life. That's the God I'm gonna serve the rest of my life. Man, if there was ever an invitation for you to give your life to the Lord Jesus Christ, it should be the easiest, most desirable thing you could ever make a decision of. Today, or probably sometime this week, President Trump is going to be electing his cabinet, all those people that he's gonna put in offices Do you know what, if your name was on that and you were in the political realm, it would just be an honor to be thought about. If your name was just in that pile somewhere politically, I'm not talking about spiritually, it would just be an honor to be thought about. Did you know that we have a greater honor? the God of this world would consider you and I worthy to serve him, to be on his side, to be his ambassadors, to represent him across the entire world. It would be an honor. You would be like, I can't believe he would even let me do that. Of course I'll do that. I'll give you my best, I'll try my best. I'm just honored to be on that side. If God was to pick me, I'm gonna come. That's the God that we serve. Or maybe I'll say it this way. That's the God that several people in this room serves. That's the God that several people in this room have said, God, I'm not sure what you're gonna do. I don't know how you're gonna use my life, but I'm willing to serve you in any way that you will use me. I remember when I made that commitment, I was sitting, I was this guy right here. What's your name? No, I was sitting in that row right there in a youth revival, it was a two night thing that we stayed over and I remember them giving your life to the Lord Jesus Christ and I remember sitting there and I thought, you know what? I'm going to do that. And he had an invitation about giving your life to the Lord and said, listen, would you just make a commitment to do whatever God would have you to do? You might not know what that is, but just a commitment, God, I'm going to serve you. I remember there was me and another guy came forward and we said, we're going to serve the Lord. After my salvation, that was the greatest decision I've ever made. I wish I could take you. and plant you inside my body, or at least let you sit right next to me for the next, however many, 20 some odd years, because I just don't think you would ever go back. How could you go back from serving the King of kings and Lord of lords? How could you ever turn back from that? And I've done all kinds of different things for the Lord since that day. If God is who he says he is, and does what he says he does, serving him should be the easiest decision you've ever made. There's a song that I like. It goes like this. The angry crowd cried out to crucify. They nailed him upon the rugged cross and left him there to die. They gambled for his royal robes, not knowing they had crucified my Lord. He bore the sin and shame of all mankind, and as he hung there dying, I was on his mind. His sacrifice and love, some don't appreciate, but I would like to speak and set the record straight. That's my God. That is my God, teenagers. And I love him. That's my Jesus. He died for me. For all the world to hear, I'll say it loud and clear, that's my God. Some may say he's nothing more than fairy tales. He's just a myth or legend. His presence is not real. His word is not correct politically. They curse and mock his name defiantly, but oh, time will never change the timeless one. Their lies cannot disprove the existence of God's son. Though some may be content to just sit by, I for one must stand and testify that's my God and I love him. What I would love to see in the next 20 years is every single person in this room to look back at this day and say, that was the day that I made the decision that no matter what else happens, no matter if my youth group doesn't make that decision, that's my God, I'm gonna stand up every day of my life, I'm gonna testify about the goodness of God. Is that your God? And if that's your God, Won't you just serve him? Won't you say, God, this isn't even a decision. This is literally a no-brainer. You can have very small brain batter and make that choice. It's an easy one. Let's stand to our feet. We're gonna have invitation time. Will you serve? the King of kings and Lord of lords. Will you make that decision to say, no matter what happens, I don't care if everybody else in the world rejects God, I don't care if everybody else in this room will not stand up for God, that's my God and I am going to serve him. Father, Lord, I pray you would be with this invitation. Holy Spirit, would you work. Lord, I pray that there be real lasting decisions made today. Lord, we need more people that will honestly say, yep, that's my God, and I am going to serve him. No matter what happens, because God is God, I will serve him. Lord, I pray if there's someone here that needs to make that decision, Lord, that they would do it today. Perhaps there are some, I know there's some that have made that decision in this room, but Lord, I believe there's some that have not made that decision, And Lord, they need to today, they need to in the next few minutes decide, I am going to serve God in any way I know how. In any way that he'll allow me, I'll serve him. Father, I pray you bless this invitation. In Jesus' name I pray, amen. With your heads bowed and eyes closed, as the piano begins to play, how many of you would say, Pastor, I want to serve God. Would you raise your hand? I want to serve the King of Kings and Lord of Lords. If you just raise your hand, would you just get down on your knees where you're at and just say, God, I want to serve you. All those that raise your hand, just get down on your knees and say, God, I want to serve you. God, this is the easiest decision that I've ever made because I know who you are. I want to serve you. If God is who He says He is and does what He says He does, then serving God should be the easiest decision you've ever made in your life.
