Good morning everyone. Today is the 16th of January. It's Friday morning. There are two books that I highly recommend other than the Bible. They had a tremendous impact on my life. The one is The Sovereignty of God by Arthur W. Pink. And the other one is The Attributes of God by Arthur W. Pink. You can get them online. They're both excellent books. I want to talk a little bit this morning about the attributes of God. Psalm 68, 35 tells us, O God, thou art terrible. Out of thy holy places the God of Israel is he that giveth strength and power unto his people. Blessed be God. If you do a word study on God in the King James Version of the Bible, you'll find that the word God is mentioned 3,893 times in the King James Version of the Bible. What are some of the attributes of God? Well, God is love. The Bible says God is love. God is also holy, meaning He is all perfection. He has no sin. God is also just, the justice of God. God is also omnipotent, meaning all-powerful. God is omniscient, meaning He's all places at all times. God describes himself as the Alpha and the Omega, the beginning and the end. God is present in the lives of all of his elect through his Holy Spirit. God is present in the lives of all the elect through the Holy Spirit. God is the beginning and the ending. In other words, He's everlasting. He's eternal. God is all-wise. There's no wisdom that can be added to God because He's all-knowing. God is empathetic he's touched with the feelings of our infirmities God is through his son Jesus Christ is fully God and fully man God is singular he says there's none beside me there's only one God not Allah, not Buddha, not Confucius, not any other person but Jesus Christ, the Lord of Lords and the King of Kings. God is also King. He is King. He is Ruler. And those are just a few of his attributes. You know, no one can understand God. He is beyond our understanding. Deuteronomy 4.24 says he's a consuming fire and a jealous God. You know, Oprah said she didn't want to serve a jealous God, a petty jealous God. Well, God is not petty, but he is jealous. God is totally righteous. God is the judge over all the earth. None can hide themselves from God. God knows and sees all things. God has all strength and all power and all might. He's almighty. Well, God is victorious. God is truthful. He is a God that He cannot lie. God is majestic. God is the Creator. God is the Creator and the Redeemer and the Savior and the Lord. God is a God of hope. God also destroys. He's a destroyer. Well, I just wanted to cover some of those aspects of the characteristics and attributes of God this morning. Is God only who doth doeth wonder of things? Psalm 72 18. Well, we should have a proper respect for God Almighty. He's our Creator. He's our Redeemer. He's our Lord. He's our hope. He's our only one that we can look to for victory through our Lord Jesus Christ. Well, may the good Lord be with you this morning and let us contemplate and fix our minds upon the power and wonders of our God. May the good Lord be with you this morning is my prayer. God bless.
