A Light for the Gentiles
Series Jesus in the Psalms & Isaiah
Sweet communication is occurring between the heavenly Father and the eternal Son. The chapter opens with the Father announcing to the Gentiles the coming of the Son and Suffering Servant, Jesus Christ. The declaration by Simeon in Luke 2:25-32 referred to three passages of Scripture. In verse 29 to Genesis 46:30. In verse 30 to 2 Samuel 23:1-5. Finally, in verse 31-32, to Isaiah 49:6 saying, the Christ-child is "a light to...the Gentiles".
