All right, well, we don't have a special tonight, right? No special, all right. The special is tonight we get to hear just a little bit longer preaching, amen. Go to Deuteronomy chapter 32 again. I'm gonna touch back in here and we'll just see what the Lord has for us tonight. Deuteronomy 32. We spoke this morning about that doctrine dropping as the rain He says, my speech shall distill as the dew, and as the small rain upon the tender herb, and as the showers upon the grass. We spoke about those things, and that water upon that dry ground, that dry and thirsty land, and that hungering and thirsting after righteousness, and that if you would hunger and thirst after righteousness, that God would fill you. And you ask of that water, he's gonna give it to you, but he's gonna give it to you his way. And we talked about that woman at the well. How she asked for water, she asked for that water, and Jesus said, if you ask, I'll give it to you. But yet, rather than giving her the water that she asked for, he gave her the law of God, which led her to that water of eternal life, right? So we looked at those things in relation to our preparation of the heart, getting ready for a moving of God, getting ready for the stirring of God, and all those things. And we're going to be back in here tonight. We're going to start in verse 4 in Deuteronomy 32. But before we do, Terry Miller, would you ask the Lord to bless our time of preaching, please? May we hear from you tonight, Father, through your word. May we open our ears, Father, that we might be attentive to your word, that we might not let other things bother us or control us, Lord. But Lord, may your Holy Spirit and Lord, let the Holy Ghost come upon us. about your word and that you are the rock of our salvation. You are the most important thing in our life. Father, without you we are nothing. That you control us in a way that Amen. Deuteronomy 32, we're gonna start right in verse four. It says, he is the rock. His work is perfect. For all his ways are judgment, a God of truth and without iniquity. Just and right as he. And I tell you, if you'd get a hold of that truth in that verse, if you could grab hold of that thing and you could really actually believe that, that would straighten your attitude toward God right up. It'd give you a better perspective on your life and everything that's going on in your life. And if you've ever shaken your fist at God and said you're mad at God, that would thoroughly rebuke you. Because it says his work is perfect. All his ways are judgment. Says, a God of truth and without iniquity, but yet we'll stand and we'll shake our fist at God. We'll accuse Him of being iniquitous. We'll accuse Him of doing things that aren't just. We'll accuse Him of not judging rightly in areas. Says, just and right is He. I think of those things where Abraham was speaking with God. He was speaking with the Lord concerning Lot and the city of Sodom. And he, you know, they go through from 50 to 45 and all the way down through, you know, and if there's, but there's 10 righteous, we spare for 10. He says, I'll spare for 10. He goes all down through that. At one point, Abraham says, will not the judge of all the earth do right? Will not the judge of all the earth do right? And I ask you that tonight. Will not the judge of all the earth do right? The answer to that is absolutely yes. He always will do that which is right. Because he's incapable of doing anything less. And so that which comes upon you in your life is absolutely perfect and fitting. As painful as it is, all his ways are judgment. He has judged everything and he understands exactly the right measure to lay upon you. I want you to understand something. It's all mercy. It's all mercy. It's the mercy of God. It's the goodness of God. Why? Because it leadeth thee to repentance. It's the goodness of God that leadeth thee to repentance. As we continue on in this, we're gonna keep reading, but just settling in on this thought here, that he is just and right. He's a God of truth. He is without iniquity. All His ways are judgment. His work is perfect. So as we continue on and we're preparing our heart for what God could do in these coming meetings in just a few months, as we're preparing our heart for a moving of God, preparing our own lives, our own homes, to be able to be touched with the Spirit of God as He passes by. These are things to keep in mind. and not the least of which is the fact that he's the rock. Let's look at verse five. We'll continue on reading. It says, they have corrupted themselves. Their spot is not the spot of his children. They're a perverse and crooked generation. Do ye thus requite the Lord, O foolish people and unwise? Is not he thy father that hath brought thee or bought thee? Hath he not made thee and established thee? Remember the days of old. Consider the years of many generations. Ask thy father, and he will show thee. Thy elders, and they will tell thee. When the Most High divided to the nations their inheritance, when he separated the sons of Adam, he set the bounds of the people according to the number of the children of Israel. For the Lord's portion is his people. Jacob is the lot of his inheritance. He found him in a desert land, and in the waste, howling wilderness. He led him about, he instructed him, he kept him as the apple of his eye. As an eagle stirreth up her nest, fluttereth over her young, spreadeth abroad her wings, taketh them, beareth them upon her wings. So the Lord alone did lead him, and there was no strange God with him. He made him ride on the high places of the earth, that he might eat the increase of the fields. And he made him to suck honey out of the rock and oil out of the flinty rock, butter of kine and milk of sheep, with fat of lambs and rams of the breed of Bashan, and goats with the fat of kidneys of wheat. And thou didst drink the pure blood of the grape. But Jeshurun waxed fat and kicked. Thou art waxen fat. Thou art grown thick. Thou art covered with fatness. Then he forsook God, which made him, and lightly esteemed the rock of his salvation. And honestly, that's what prosperity will do. We're rich and increased of goods. We have no need of anything, let alone God. We certainly don't need a moving of God. We don't need God to disrupt our plans. As long as God will show up when we want him to show up, and it fits within our schedule, and he leaves when we need him to, and we can get back to going about our daily business, because we have to conduct our daily business. We have to be good stewards in the business that God has given us. As long as God is gonna do it that way, then, well, yes, I suppose he's allowed to show up. There's not one single person in this room that would dare articulate those words, but the thoughts of our hearts betray us. Because those things are articulated in our actions, in our lackadaisical attitude toward God. The stirring of the waters comes, and we say, I'll step in the next time. with no guarantee that God will ever trouble the waters again. If God shows up, if, will you be ready to be moved by him? Will you be able to even hear his voice? Do you even have ears to hear? Is your heart softened to the point where he can mold it, to where he can blow across you and revive you? Verse 16, they provoked him to jealousy with strange gods, with abominations provoked they him to anger. They sacrificed unto devils, not to God. To gods whom they knew not, to new gods that newly came up, whom your fathers feared not. Of the rock that begat thee, thou art unmindful, and hast forgotten God that formed thee. And when the Lord saw it, he abhorred them. because of the provoking of his sons and of his daughters. And he said, I will hide my face from them. I will see what their end shall be. For they are a very froward generation, children in whom is no faith. A generation that is froward, that is turned away from God, that has turned their back on God, that will not turn, that are stiff-necked, they are children in whom is no faith. We'll march blindly along in our religious pattern without any consideration for the heart of God. We'll continue on in the things that have been established because they're good tradition and we'll carry on with them regardless of whether God wants us to or not because, well, it was established in a good way. As I've said before, and as history will prove, and as the word of God will prove, when God troubles the waters, when the Holy Ghost begins stirring, and God actually sends revival, it is chaotic. The only way you can really make sense of it is to look back on it. Somewhat like a firefight. When the thing breaks out, All the military plans and all that, I can't remember what general it was, but it was somebody during World War II, and said all those plans and all the military maneuvers and all of the things that we're going to do, that all looks really good until that first shot is fired. And then all that goes out the window. And the rest is just survival. That's where the training comes into play, of course. You know, when you can't think, your muscle memory kicks in and all of that takes place. But even there, it takes preparation. And those who are not prepared do not survive. And so when you consider this matter of revival, when you consider this matter of God actually stepping down and settling in and moving in a people, not just one or two, but an entire valley broken over their sin. Everything looks good. We have our plan. We're going to have these meetings. We're going to schedule it. We're going to meet it at, you know, six 30, seven o'clock, whatever time the Lord establishes, that's when it'll be. And we're going to go till eight 30 or maybe nine. If the Lord really moves in and, and all these things, we'll go home, we'll come back the next night. And, you know, Friday night, we're going to have two preachers and boy, that's going to be real good and all. But what happens if the Holy ghost actually moves? and he doesn't allow us to leave. What happens if he calls for preaching in the morning and preaching in the afternoon and preaching in the evening? And what happens if he begins bringing folks in to the point where we need to hold it in the parking lot because there's not enough room in the building? What happens if it actually spills over into, oh, dare I say it, Saturday? What would happen if Sunday comes around and we're not able to have Sunday school because of the moving of God. What happens if the moving of God is so heavy that we're not able to have two hymns and announcements and then choir sing and then prayer and then preaching? What happens if we come in here and there's just such a holiness that when our wheels pull off that pavement into the parking lot, we're terrified to speak. We come in trembling through those doors. The preacher stands up to preach, and his voice won't give forth its voice. The power of God falls to the point where all you can do is lay prostrate on the ground. pray. Would we be ready for that? It's not unusual in the matter of revival, but it is unusual in a church for that to happen. All these reproves and rebukes that are laid out against Jeshurun and against Jacob and against the one that that it was called of God and brought up out and formed and, and carried aloft and, and, uh, trained in the things of God and all this rebellion and, and, and this faithlessness laying out the rock of salvation, but yet they're faithless. sacrificing unto devils and not to God. You know, those devils are those ministers of light. Be careful that that light that is in thee be not darkness of that spirit of antichrist. As we examine these things that that befell the children of Israel. And, you know, we're getting to the end of Deuteronomy. You know, there's only a couple more chapters after this. This is coming to the very close of the words of Moses. This is his song. Shortly thereafter, he's led up into the mountain and he dies. God hides his body. There's a great disputing that takes place between Michael the archangel and Satan. And Michael the archangel wouldn't even attempt to rebuke Satan, but he said, the Lord rebukes thee when contending over the body of Moses. And when we look at our own lives and we say, well, that's not us, where are the devils in our lives? Well, what do you turn to to shake off the conviction? I can tell you what I turn to. Entertainment. We're addicted to entertainment. We might as well admit it. If we're not being entertained, if our mind isn't being stimulated in some way by some image or by some, you know, action or by some activity, and I'm not even saying that they're wicked things. Just the everyday mundane. You can use that to shake off conviction. You can use that to quench the spirit of God, that fire that he began burning. You can resist the Holy Ghost. I remember Ravenhill once said that the person who is the easiest to be offended in a preaching meeting, the one who will be the first one to be offended and leave is the Holy Ghost. And how oft have we done that? Verse 21, they've moved me to jealousy with that which is not God. He touched you, he spoke to you, he stirred you, and you just made him jealous this afternoon because you turned to that which was not God. God forbid you went home and looked at pornography. God forbid you went home and you gossiped. God forbid you went home and did anything that would provoke God to jealousy. They've moved me to jealousy with that which is not God. They've provoked me to anger with their vanities. And I will move them to jealousy with those which are not a people. I will provoke them to anger with a foolish nation. That foolish nation is us. It's the Gentile world. We are the ones. Paul makes that very, very clear. Romans chapter 10, he goes into that thing, explains that he's speaking of the Gentile world here yet again. But here we claim to be the people of God. We claim to be seeking God. We claim to be following God. And I understand not everyone in here is born of God, but you're seeking the God of Israel. And because of Jesus Christ, I've been grafted in. We can grab hold of all those spiritual promises and, oh boy, don't we love the spiritual promises of God, and we'll stand on those promises as we sang this morning, perfectly, wonderfully, and it was beautiful. It thrills my soul to think of standing on the promises. What about the promise that I'll move them to jealousy? What about the promises that I'll forsake them? What about the promise that they sacrificed unto gods, and to devils, not to God? Verse 22, and then we're gonna move on from here. It says, for a fire is kindled in mine anger, and shall burn unto the lowest hell, and shall consume the earth with her increase, and set on fire the foundations of the mountains. A fire is kindled in mine anger and shall burn unto the lowest hell. The righteous wrath of God is kindled because his people have turned from him. And we've gotten so good at it, we've even convinced ourselves that we haven't done it. We've convinced ourselves that we are doing that which is right. And yet when the preaching comes and the waters are stirred, we don't move. We're not stirred. We're not broken. Nobody mourning over their sin, lost or otherwise. It's almost as if we're actually right with God. And lest we become so braggadocious and so proud to say, yeah, I'm right with God. I'm perfectly at peace with my creator. Let's just go ahead and we'll take the thoughts of your heart from the last 24 hours and project them on the screen back here. And we'll see how you're doing. This is a message we all need. This is the first blow of the hammer. to break up the clods of dirt because we've gotten so hard. We're not ready for a move of God. We're not ready for God to touch us. We're not ready for God to stir us. Some are more ready than others, but for the most part, the collective heart of this church is not ready for God to revive us. And so comes this time of preparation. We talk of that rock. That rock showed up a couple of times. Did you notice? Capital R, rock. It's a person. It's the rock of his salvation. He is the rock and his work is perfect. Let's go to Luke chapter six. We're at the prayer breakfast on Saturday. The pastor preached out of this and Lord stirred my heart up in it. I thank God for those things. I gleaned from that time. I gleaned from those teachings. I'm very thankful to the Lord for it, very grateful for those things. Luke chapter 6 and verse 46, it says, and why call ye me Lord, Lord, and do not the things which I say? Now, if I could just pause right there and let's use our King James Bible as it's supposed to be used and think. The Holy Ghost put in your mind, who else said, Lord, Lord, have we not done many miracles? Have we not prophesied in thy name, in thy name, cast out devils, done many mighty works. He says, behold, I'll say to them, depart from me. I never knew you, you workers of iniquity. I believe he's speaking to the same ones. Why call ye me Lord, Lord, and do not the things which I say? Whosoever cometh to me, and heareth my sayings, and doeth them, I will show you to whom he is like. He is like a man which built a house, and dig deep, and laid the foundation on a rock. When the flood arose, and the stream beat vehemently upon that house, and could not shake it, for it was founded upon a rock. But he that heareth and doeth not is like a man that without foundation built an house upon the earth, against which the stream did beat vehemently, and immediately it fell, and the ruin of that house was great. There's a couple things that really stand out to me in this. And the first is, again, that he digged deep. That labor. That labor to dig down to find that rock. But you'll notice he didn't build that house upon the rock. He built the foundation upon the rock and the house upon the foundation. But he had to dig down to find the rock. And I'm afraid there's a lot of people in this world that all that they've done is they've found a good plot of ground and they said, I'm gonna build the house right here. And they've never labored to dig. They've never dug deep in the Word of God. They've never dug deep into the things of God. They've never labored under the preaching of the Word of God. They never labored under their sin. All they've done is they've built themselves a house. And they said, boy, this thing is a shelter in a time of storm. I'm safe now. It'll protect me. When that storm arises, and I believe the storm is from God, Storm comes and it beats on that house and it breaks it down to show you that there's no foundation underneath The problem comes where the people of God so called are afraid to dig down and see if there's even a foundation under their home They're afraid to look deeply. They're afraid to labor because deep down they know there is no foundation. Their house that they have built is not upon a rock. All they have to claim is all that they've prayed. Well, I did this, I said that, I repented of this. I went forward. I did what the preacher said. I read the back of the tract and I prayed that prayer. I did what the soul winner said to do and I did those things. And I don't know if you've noticed, but the use of the word I comes up in our conversation way too much in those things. I don't care what you did. I wanna know what God did. Stop talking about what you did. You sound like a Catholic. I prayed the sacramental prayer. I said the magic words, didn't I? Surely I must be right with God. But what did God do? Well, they said that he saved me, and then they read me the verses that proved it, all right? Did the Spirit of God bear witness with your spirit that you're a child of God? And you say, well, what does that even mean? And I say to you, seek the Lord while he may be found. If you can't recognize the spirit of God bearing witness with your spirit on the inward parts that you're a child of God, then you are not a child of God on the authority of the scriptures alone. Search the scriptures to see if these things be so. Search the scriptures and find me the sinner's prayer. Search the scriptures and find me, that's how a sinner has ever entered into eternal life. Find it in the book and I'll recant. Find it in the book and I'll go back and I'll go on every bit of social media and I will publicly proclaim that I am wrong. Go through this entire Bible and find me that that is how somebody enters into eternal life. Please, look for it. Not for my benefit, but for yours. I want you to understand something. I say that rather, rather strongly, but it's only because it almost sent me to hell. Some of you who have been awakened to your lost state in here understand the weight of that because you did dig and you looked and you found that your house was founded upon the sand. And you realize that when you blamed God for your house falling, He was just in sending that storm to prove to you it didn't have a foundation and it was not founded upon the rock. He's like a man which built a house and dig deep and laid the foundation on a rock. He that heareth and doeth not is like a man that without foundation built a house upon the earth. against which the stream did beat vehemently, and immediately it fell, and the ruin of that house was great." Let's go over to 2 Samuel 23. 2 Samuel 23. We'll start in verse 1. Second Samuel 23 verse one. Now these be the last words of David. David, the son of Jesse and the man who was raised up on high, the anointed of the God of Jacob and the sweet psalmist of Israel said, and they look at this, the spirit of the Lord spake by me and his word was in my tongue. What I want you to realize is these last words that were spoken are Psalm 18. Psalm 18 is the last Psalm that David ever prophesied. You go through and you look at Jesus Christ in Psalm 18. You see the rising up of Jesus. You see the reviving of Jesus. Two separate things, by the way. Romans 14.9 tells us that. But that spirit of Christ, which was in them, which did signify the sufferings of Christ and the glory that should follow. David says this right here, the spirit of the Lord spake by me and his word was in my tongue. The God of Israel said, the rock of Israel spake to me. He that ruleth over men must be just ruling in the fear of God. And he shall be as the light of the morning, when the sun riseth, even a morning without clouds, as the tender grass springing out of the earth, by clear shining after rain. One of the questions that I had written down on that little slip of paper was what does it look like after revival comes? What's it supposed to look like after revival comes? After God sends the rain, after the preparation of the soil has been fully made, that hard ground has been broken up. It's been turned over. The fallow ground has been broken up. The roots have been torn out. The thorns have been taken out of it. The rocks have been taken out. The ground has been prepared. It's been lightly watered, it's been gently handled and fertilized and prepared and worked and even getting down in there and breaking up those clods with your hands so that it's soft and able to take root and then going along and sowing that seed exactly right, watering that seed and God then sends the increase. What does it look like? It looks like verse four. That's what it looks like. He shall be as the light of the morning when the sun rises, even a morning without clouds as the tender grass springing out of the earth by clear shining after rain. It looks like God moving amongst the people. It looks like God tarrying a while and being pleased to tarry because the people are pleased to have God tarry. It looks like a people who aren't upset when their schedule gets thrown out. It looks like a tender grass beginning to grow. It looks like life. Let's go over to 1 Corinthians 10. 1 Corinthians chapter 10. We've seen this rock, we've seen the rock of Israel spoken of, we've seen the rock of salvation that speaks of God, that He is that rock. And we get into 1 Corinthians 10, and we start right at verse one. And here Paul, our apostle, the apostle to the Gentiles, goes into that Old Testament and just begins explaining some things to us. Moreover, brethren, I would not that ye should be ignorant how that all our fathers were under the cloud and all passed through the sea and were all baptized unto Moses in the cloud and in the sea. Now it's interesting, he is speaking to a Gentile church. Yet he calls those fathers all our fathers. The reason is, is because in Christ, there's neither Jew nor Greek, no bond nor free, nor male or female, but all are one in Christ. Once a Jew is born of God, he sees him in Christ, and he no longer identifies him as a Jew. He's just in Christ. When a Gentile is born of God, he's no longer a Gentile who'd been grafted in. He's no longer that dog that was allowed to the table. No, no, he is a full adopted son, brought into that household of faith. That slave, that bond servant, is no longer a servant. He's a brother. Male or female, we're all one in Christ. Anything otherwise speaks to our pride. Paul said, I count all those things but loss. circumcised the eighth day, Hebrew of the Hebrews, the tribe of Benjamin, all those things. He counted loss for the excellency of the knowledge of Christ. Verse three, it says, and they did all eat the same spiritual meat and did all drink that same spiritual drink. Now, where are they at this point? Those fathers, where are they? They're eating that spiritual meat, they're drinking that spiritual drink, they're all baptized unto Moses in the cloud and in the sea. Where is that? They're in the wilderness. This is the children of Israel who we just left in Deuteronomy. They did all drink that same spiritual drink, for they drank of that spiritual rock that followed them. And that rock was Christ. Now you go on over into Hebrews. We're not gonna turn there right yet. But you go on over into Hebrews, and you look in chapter four, and it says, if Jesus had given them rest. Why? Because he was that spiritual rock that followed them. He was that spiritual rock that went with them into that promised land. He's the one that led them through. It was him. He was there the whole time. That's why Paul refers to that as the church in the wilderness. If I ever get a call again and somebody asks me, when did the church start? I'm gonna tell them in the wilderness. It's just what the Bible says, that's all. I'm comfortable in that. Now, that rock was Christ. that rock that that house that was founded upon, that man digged down and he put the labor in and he wasn't afraid to get his hands bloody and dirty and he wasn't afraid to do the work that it took. And I'm gonna tell you that there was a great aspect of this that was brought out and that sand, that man didn't build his house on sand, he built it upon a rock, but he had to dig through sand to get to it. And he dug that thing out. I don't know if you've ever dug a hole in the sand or not, but as soon as you dig straight down, guess what happens? So not only do you have to dig down, but you got to dig out farther than what you plan your foundation to be. Just a lot of work. You might say, oh, this is far enough. This will be fine. And then all of a sudden that bank caves in. You dig and dig and dig and dig and dig. Oh, surely I've dug enough. This is good, right? I'm close enough to the rock. Are you on it though? Are you on that rock? When God breaks down everything in your life and you have nothing left and you're in the night seasons and you're in the midnight hour, you begin breaking down everything in your life and you start digging, start examining everything in your life according to the word of God. When you get to the bottom of that thing, are you gonna find a rock? Are you even gonna find a foundation? That foundation must be dug on, built on that rock. The foundation of the word of God is built line upon line, precept upon precept, here a little, there a little. That's how it's built. So that you can know him, not just know about him, not just know salvation, not just know you have a home in heaven. Are you 100% sure that if you died today, you'd be in heaven? What about knowing him? Do you even know who he is? Do you know what his voice sounds like? Do you know what his laughter sounds like? Do you know what makes God laugh? The laughter of God is a terrifying study. He says, I'll laugh at their calamity when it cometh. They drank of that spiritual rock that followed them, and that rock was Christ. Let's go over to Matthew chapter 11, verse 28. Digging deep, it's hard work. You're going to find that there is very little in this life that is harder work than digging holes. Anybody that's ever had their hand put to a shovel and said, does that thing fit? Yep, it fits your hand. All right, dig that hole. Anybody that's ever been told by their father or their grandfather or their employer, go ahead and dig that hole. Goodness, I mean, go over into that refinery over in Farmer's Valley and you start digging down in some around those pipes and everything. Oh, that's miserable digging. It's just hard to dig holes. Hard to dig. Hard to dig deep. It's laborsome. You labor under those things. Your muscles hurt. Your hands hurt. Your back hurts. Your feet hurt. Everything hurts when you dig. There's not a bit of anything that doesn't hurt when you come up out of that hole after you've dug that hole. Those of you who have been military service and have been instructed to dig foxholes only to fill them back in. It's hard work. And that's why we don't dig. That's why we'd rather let the preacher do the digging and share what he found as far as the gold goes. He'll take and he'll show you that gold that he found. All along, God had a plot of ground that he had given you a shovel and he said, dig in that spot. There's gold down there for you. She left it alone because that's too hard. Besides, I might get down there and find that I'm not founded upon the rock. And that's too scary for me. I've got too much resting on my testimony. You're gonna really let that pride send you to hell? There's some that do. There's many that have. Matthew 11, 28, come unto me all ye that labor and are heavy laden. That's a command. Come unto me all ye that labor. What's the condition for you to come? What's the condition to come to Jesus? You gotta labor. You have to be one of those that labor and are heavy laden. I know the spiritualization of this verse, and I've heard it, and I've probably even preached it in the past, and if I have, and you remember, I apologize. Oh, you're just so labored down in this world and your labor under the weight of sin. And, oh, you're so burdened by everything that's all going on in this life. And you're so depressed and so heavy. Oh, just come unto me and I'll give you rest, Jesus says. And it sounds so good. And it sounds so nice. And I say, surely my burden is heavy, so I must come to Jesus and cast my burden at his feet, and he'll give me the rest that I rightly deserve. And all the while, Jesus is telling us how we're supposed to come to him. Labor. You dig deep to find that rock. You get under that burden. You take his burden upon you. Take His yoke upon you. Start walking with Him under that burden. Let Him break up the cloths of dirt in your heart. Let Him break up that foul ground. Let Him send the, let Him distill His word as dew upon you. Let Him send it as the small rain upon the tender herb. Let Him soften that heart bit by bit by bit. The problem is we want it right now. Do we not just want Him to show up tonight? We want Him to move mightily tonight. We want Him to sweep across the crowd tonight. We're not ready for that. Hardly any of us that are laboring under the Word of God, hardly any of us that are burdened because of our sin, hardly any of us that are burdened because of the sin of the world, hardly any of us are burdened that God's name is blasphemed. We're barely offended by it. Come on into me, all ye that labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn of me. Where are you going to find that yoke? The answer is given. It's where you learn of him. This is the yoke right here. Could I, could I do something for us? Get under that thing. Get under that yoke. Make it a part of you. It fits you. His yoke for you perfectly fits you. It's exactly what he intended it to be. Get under that thing with him. Let him lead you in it. Take my yoke upon you and learn of me. For I am meek and lowly in heart, and you shall find rest unto your souls. Not just to, not just toward, not just around, but unto. That rest delivered right to your soul. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light. Let's go over to Hebrews chapter four. Hebrews chapter four, we mentioned these verses. There's some others that I'd like to look at. Hebrews chapter four. Let's start at verse seven. Hebrews four, verse seven. Again, he limiteth a certain day saying in David, Today, after so long a time, as it is said, today if you will hear His voice, harden not your hearts. If you will hear His voice. If. If. The ifs in the Bible are real heavy. If you will hear His voice, harden not your hearts. If you've heard the voice of God today, don't harden your heart against it. Let Him mold that thing. Let Him do what He desires to do in that thing. If you will hear his voice, harden not your hearts, for if Jesus had given them rest, and your Bible has it right. We won't take the time tonight, but I can prove to you that was Jesus that led them. We already saw it there in 1 Corinthians 10, four, okay? But I can show you in Joshua how it was the spirit of Christ in him. I can show you that out of the word of God. It's in the book of Numbers. Why don't you just go find it? For if Jesus had given them rest, then would he not afterward have spoken of another day. There remaineth therefore a rest to the people of God. So it wasn't just the rest of entering into the promised land. It wasn't just the rest of entering into what God had given them and had said, this is your inheritance, I'm gonna give it to you. And then he gave them rest of their enemies roundabout. That's not the rest because he spoke of another day. There's another day of rest. There's a very main it therefore a rest to the people of God for he that is entered into his rest He also hath ceased from his own works as God did from his ceased from his own works That's the problem We think we can work our way there You say well, I'm not Catholic. I know it's not by my good works. Well, no, but you did something you expect God to accept it That's a work You offered him your faith. How much faith did you work up to give to God? It's work. When did you receive the faith of Christ though? When did he build his faith in you? When did the confidence that you have in Christ become that thing and knowing and understanding that Jesus Christ is risen from the dead and he had that faith knowing his father was gonna raise him from the dead and I have that same confidence. When? If you're born of God, it was the day you were born of God that he gave you that faith. That is that confidence in the resurrection. It says in verse 11, let us labor therefore to enter into that rest. You understand, you have to cease from your works so that you can labor to enter into that rest. Your works are trying to change things. Your works are trying to do what you cannot do. But you labor. You get under that burden. You get under the burden of the word of God. You submit yourself to the preaching of the word of God. You submit yourself to prayer. You submit yourself to fasting. You labor under those things. He promises he'll give you rest. Come unto me all ye that labor and are heavy laden. Why? He'll give you rest. Let us therefore labor to enter into that rest, lest any man fall after the same example of unbelief. That same example of unbelief. That example of unbelief is that they would not cease from their works, so they would not enter in, because they could not enter in because of unbelief. Go to Proverbs chapter 10. It's got a couple more places I wanna look at. Proverbs chapter 10. Jesus Christ is that rock. He wants us to labor to enter into that rest. Proverbs 10, look at verse 24. It says, the fear of the wicked, it shall come upon him, but the desire of the righteous shall be granted. As the whirlwind passeth, so is the wicked no more. But the righteous is an everlasting foundation. Now you wanna go ahead and you wanna say that that righteous is you? Are you an everlasting foundation? Who did we find out was that rock? Jesus. Who was that rock that followed them in the wilderness? It was Christ. Who is that rock that that man dug down and he dug deep and he laid a foundation upon it? Who is that rock? It's Jesus. He is the righteous. He is an everlasting foundation. Not only is he the rock, but he's the foundation that you build your house upon. And we could go into those things, if any man build thereupon, you know, gold, silver, precious stones, and work would be tried by fire, and all of that. We can go into those things. That's not where God wants us to be tonight. But I want you to see that Jesus Christ is the foundation, and he's that rock. That wicked, as the whirlwind passeth, so is the wicked no more. If we've never seen it in person, we've seen pictures or maybe we've seen videos of where a tornado comes through and it just completely decimates a town and you look and there's absolutely nothing recognizable in that town whatsoever. As that whirlwind has come through. So the wicked no more. Utter destruction, why? Well, we were founded upon a rock. Now 1 Corinthians 3 and we'll be done. First Corinthians three. As far as I know, this is the last place we're gonna be tonight. I believe the Lord will let me land here. And just in case there's any wonder in your heart, just in case there's anything else that you're wondering about, if that righteous is Jesus, if that rock is Jesus, if that rock that followed in the wilderness actually is Jesus, if your Bible actually was supposed to say Jesus instead of Joshua in Hebrews chapter four, if you're just wondering anymore, let's just let the Lord settle it with his word. First Corinthians three, look at verse 11. For other foundation can no man lay than that is laid, which is Jesus Christ. Let him lay that foundation. But I want you to understand he's not gonna found it upon the earth. He's only gonna lay that foundation upon the rock. And in order for you to have that firm foundation, you have to dig deep. If not, built your house on that sand, and it's gonna fall. And I think we're done. Ms. Becky, if you'd wanna come.
