This is the audio version of
Liberty Gospel Track TRE 169. The cover says, Talking to Everyone
Except God. Inside we read, How many conversations,
text, phone, and personal, do you have with people in a day?
but do you ever talk to God? The disciples asked Jesus, Lord,
teach us to pray, as John also taught his disciples. Luke 11,
verse one. Jesus taught them, after this
manner, therefore pray ye. Our Father, which art in heaven. Matthew 6, verse 9. First of
all, is God your Father? Jesus said, If God were your
Father, ye would love me. John 8, verse 42. Do you love Jesus? Jesus said,
If ye love me, keep my commandments. John 14, verse 15. Why does Jesus have the right
to give us commandments? The reason is because Jesus is
our Creator. He is God Almighty in the flesh. The Bible says, for by Him were
all things created. Colossians 1 verse 16. If you create something, then
you have rights over it, like copyrights if you paint a picture
or write a book. Number two, is God's name holy
to you? Jesus taught us to pray, hallowed
be thy name. Matthew six verse nine. The Bible
says, holy and reverend is his name. Psalm 111 verse nine. Do you respect God's holy name
or do you use it as a swear word? Number three, Are you truly living
for God? Jesus taught us to pray, thy
kingdom come, thy will be done in earth as it is in heaven. Matthew 6, verse 10. If Jesus
returned this moment, is there anything that you would be ashamed
for him to see? Maybe something on your phone?
Maybe something in your bedroom? Maybe something in your car?
The Bible says, Therefore be ye also ready, for in such an
hour as ye think not, the Son of Man cometh. Matthew 24, 44. Can you honestly say that you
are living God's will on earth as it will be done in heaven
one day? Do you think that the music you listen to right now
will be allowed in heaven? You know, the songs that talk
about lusting and immoral acts. Do you think that will be allowed
in heaven? Does your music standards meet God's standards? Bible says
speak unto yourselves in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs,
singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord. Ephesians
5 verse 19. 4. Are you trusting God to meet
your daily needs? Jesus taught them, give us this
day our daily bread." Matthew 6, verse 11. Jesus taught us
to put Him first, and then He would provide the food, drink,
and clothes. The Bible says, but seek ye first
the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things shall be
added unto you. Matthew 6, verse 33. Do you put making money first
or God first? 5. Have you forgiven others? Jesus
continued teaching them, and forgive us our debts as we forgive
our debtors. Matthew 6 verse 12. Do we quickly ask God's forgiveness
when we sin? Or do we try and justify ourselves? The Bible says, He that covereth
his sins shall not prosper, but whoso confesseth and forsaketh
them shall have mercy. Proverbs 28, verse 13. And have we also forgiven others?
The Bible says, And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted
forgiving one another, even as God, for Christ's sake, hath
forgiven you. Ephesians 4, verse 32. Number six, falling for temptations. Are you having trouble with temptation?
Jesus taught them, and lead us not into temptation, but deliver
us from evil, for thine is the kingdom and the power and the
glory forever. Amen. Matthew 6, verse 13. You would find more strength
to resist temptations by spending more time talking to God in prayer. Have you experienced God's forgiveness? The Bible says, in whom we have
redemption through his blood, even the forgiveness of sins.
Colossians 1, verses 13 and 14. The Bible says the wages of sin
is death. Romans 6, verse 23. For us to be saved, someone who
is perfect would have to die in our place. Only God is perfect,
and the Lord Jesus Christ is the Son of God, God in the flesh. He lived a perfect, sinless life,
and then died on the cross, bearing our sin. The proof that Jesus
successfully paid the wages of our sin is the fact that he arose
from the grave. The Bible says he was buried
and that he rose again the third day, according to the Scriptures. 1 Corinthians 15 verse 4. To be saved, you must call upon
the Lord Jesus from your heart. The Bible says that if thou shalt
confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine
heart, that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be
saved. For whosoever shall call upon
the name of the Lord shall be saved." Romans 10 verses 9 and
13. Call upon the Lord Jesus Christ
right now. Ask him to forgive you and to
cleanse you and to save you. After we ask the Lord Jesus Christ
to save us, then God instructs us to get baptized under the
water in the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Baptism
does not save us. It is just the outward testimony
that Jesus has saved us and that we want to now live for Him.
Romans 6 verse 4. My friend, we'd love to hear
from you today. Give us a call. Our number is
616-754-7151. That number again is 616-754-7151. We have some free gospel literature
to help you grow in your new life. May God bless you.
