Hey, good morning everyone. Welcome to another morning devotion with Brother Mark, where we are walking together on our walk with Christ. Today's December the 1st. Well, we've got one month left in this year, and it's been an exciting year. Hard to believe it's on its way out, but anyway, here we are. And we just trust that you are growing in the Lord. during this season and that you can look back at the beginning of 2023 and look at where you're at now in 2023 and say that, you know, I see where the Lord has worked in my life and that I am growing in Him. And so we pray that that is the case for you. And so we're reading 2 Peter in chapter number 3 in our daily Bible reading. In verse 17 he says, Ye therefore, beloved, seeing you know these things before, beware lest you also, being led away with the error of the wicked, fall from your own steadfastness. And as I was reading that this morning, I thought, you know, that's a great encouragement for us to think about the things that we know already. And you can read earlier in 2 Peter 3 to think about the things that Peter is talking about. But it also points us to looking forward to the end of the year and looking forward to another upcoming year. Let's make sure that we're not being led away with the error of the wicked and make sure that we are persevering so we do not fall from our own steadfastness. And hopefully that's what 2023 has been for you. It's been a year of steadfastness. You've just kept pushing on, just kept walking with the Lord. Maybe you've not had a great time of growing that you can really tell, but you just know that you're steady in progress. You see verse 18 says, but grow in grace and in knowledge of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. So that's what we do. That's what our goal is. We are to grow in grace. We grow in our understanding of grace and the grace of God that brings salvation to us. And then in our knowledge of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, that's how we grow in grace as we learn more about him. And growing in grace and growing in our knowledge of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, is that which will encourage us to remain steadfast in our walk of faith. So today, I want you to focus on steadfastness, focus on understanding grace, focus on gaining a greater knowledge of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. And if you just continue on day by day doing those things, At the end of a year, you'll find yourself growing stronger in the Lord. Let's pray. Heavenly Father, as we come to you today, we are thankful, Lord, that you give us your word to instruct us. Lord, you give us grace to encourage us and we learn more about you. And so as your people today and in the future, strive to walk closer with you and to take up their cross and follow after you. We pray, Lord, that they will be steadfast and that they will grow in grace and that they will grow in the knowledge of the work that you have begun in them and the work that you're going to complete. So I pray that you'll bless those that listen to this podcast today and encourage them in their walk with you. Thank you, God, that we're following Jesus Christ, who is worthy of us following. We thank you for the salvation that we have in him. In the name of Jesus, we pray. Amen. Well, I trust you had a good week, and we look forward to seeing you again. And until next time, this is Brother Mark signing off.
