You know, you hear the word, and you hear scriptures, and sometimes the Lord just stops you in your tracks and says, stop right here. Dig a little deeper. Search a little further. Amen. You don't have a Bible? Raise your hand. One of the deacons will bring you one. Amen. Fifth chapter, the book of Isaiah. Amen. Start with verse 20 through 25. Like I said, you heard it, you read it. But the Lord just put this one particular book on my heart. Fifth chapter of Isaiah, starting with verse 20 through 25. You have it, say amen. Woe unto them that call evil good and good evil. that put darkness for light and light for darkness, that put bitter for sweet and sweet for bitter. Woe unto them that are wise in their own eyes and prudent in their own sight. Woe unto them that are mighty to drink wine and men of strength to mingle strong drinks. which justify the wicked for reward, and take away the righteousness of the righteous from him. Therefore, as the fire, the fire was disturbed, and the flame consumes the chaff, so their roots shall be as rottenness, and their blossoms shall go up as dust, because they have cast away the law of the Lord of the hosts. and despised the word of the Holy One of Israel. Therefore is the anger of the Lord kindled against his people. And he has stretched forth his hand against them and has smitten them. And the hills did tremble and their carcasses were torn in the midst of the street. For all this, his anger is not turned away but his hand is stretched out still. Let us pray. My Lord and my Savior, my hope of glory, the sovereign God that controls everything, every situation in my life, in your life, in this world and the world to come, It's by the power of Almighty God. Lord, we come and we come asking that we decrease. In your Holy Spirit, Lord, increase. Have your way in this place. Lord, you touch the hearts of your people, those that are here and those that are on the way. Lord, for we live in a crooked and perverse world. But Lord, you can straighten any and everything out. The rough places, you make them smooth. The crooked places, you make them straight. Lord, you're just that awesome. Lord, as we come asking for forgiveness of sin, realizing all have sinned and come short of thy glory. Now, Lord, have your way in this place. and we'll be mindful to give you all the praise, all the glory. For it's in Jesus' name we pray, amen, amen. Lord took me to this particular book and like I said, the title of this message is God's People, Nom to Sin. God's People, Nom to Sin. You know we're going to focus on these six woes. The prophet of God gave six woes here. And like Roses say a lot of times, if you're not afraid to write in your Bible, you can write them down. With verse 8, the first woe. Verse 11, the second woe. Verse 18, the third woe. Verse 20, the fourth woe. And 21 and 22. Sixfold woe that the prophet of God came to deliver to God's people. And keep this in mind as we meditate on this particular book and these scriptures. Think about this country that we live in today. Think about this country. In this particular chapter, think about where you're at. Think about the situations that we're in at this day and time. I think it's like, I think it's on one of the chips. I think the fellow, he always quote or mention something that, that which was is. And that which shall be is already done. talking about the word of God here, the scriptures, you know, what we're talking about. In this particular chapter here, the prophet of God and God himself, you know, at the beginning here, let's just read the first two verses here, a couple verses here. He said, now will I sing to my well beloved, a song of my beloved, touching his vineyard, My well-beloved has a vineyard in a very fruitful hill. Sound like this country, don't it? And he fenced it. He did it to us in this country. And he gathered out the stones thereof, and he planted it with the choicest vines, and built a tower in the midst of it, and also made a winepress therein. And he looked that it should bring forth grapes, and it brought forth wild grapes. And now, O inhabitants of Jerusalem, of this United States, and men of Judah, judge, I pray thee, I pray you, be with me and my vineyard. Yeah. Wretched man, you know, in his sins, he loved his sickness. He loved the slavery of sin. He refused to be made free or made whole. Many in our country are like that. In this particular chapter, like I said, the prophet of God that came in the name of God, telling God's people of Judah here that judgment is coming. Judgment is coming. And judgment, whether you realize it or not, is already here. Judgment is already here. And when you think about it, God brings judgment in different ways. And the judgment I'm talking about is the way you think judgment is coming. It's not God's way. And when I say that, I'm speaking as far as the one particular scripture here in verse 20 where it said, woe unto them that call evil good and good evil. that put darkness for light and light for darkness, that put bitter for sweet and sweet for bitterness. That's judgment. That's judgment. And we're looking at that judgment today in this country. Because America is calling two men and two women, it's okay. It's okay. That's a good thing that America says. America's calling darkness light and bittersweet. And see, when you get to the point where that don't really bother you, you're numb. You're numb. You're dead. You might as well be dead because pending judgment is coming. When sin don't bother you, it don't make you quench. It don't make you angry. And I don't care where the sin's coming from. It could be within yourself. But when you become numb to sin, that's where we at today. That's where this nation and so many other nations are at today. God's people in the midst of this have become numb to sin. Numb to sin. Don't speak out, don't speak against, don't even open your mouth. Now a true believer, a true Christian born again by the spirit of the living God cannot sit still when sin is running rapid and you refuse to open your mouth and say what dust said the Lord. If you love somebody, if you love your brother, if you love your children, then you'll tell them what dust said the Lord. And I don't care how the world system portrays a man and a woman, God made them male and female. And that will never change in the eyes of a believer. In the eyes of the beholder. That will never change. God has planted this nation here. By the word of his power. And he covered it. I mean blessed it. And now we're in a time that the enemy want to just take over, do what he want to do, sin like a wildfire, and believers sit back in the closet like they are nobody. Woe to that man. Woe to that believer. that person that calls themselves a follower of Christ. And I heard one of the brothers or somebody mentioned this morning, Amos or one of them back there, Tony said, when the Lord gives you his word, when he give you something, you can't hold your peace. You want to share it with somebody. You want to let the whole world know that I've been changed. I've been born again. The things that I used to do, I don't do them no more. The sins of God's people here, as he brought this judgment, the sins of covetousness, the sins of greediness, worldly wealth, drunkenness, reveling. And you know, we got on that drunkenness this morning and I said, boy, they about to preach my message. And Breanne looked over there at me and she said, wasn't Noah drunk? I'm like, calm down, slow it down, slow it down. I didn't even want to answer. I was because you're getting into my message. She didn't know that though. But all of these sins of God's people, that's what we're dealing with today. Greediness. Verse eight, Isaiah five. Fifth chapter, verse eight. He said, woe unto them that join house to house, that lay field to field, till there be no place that they might be placed alone in the midst of the earth. In the midst of the earth. You know, when I read that, I thought about the time we live in today. Like I said, that which was, it is. Shall be, it is today. That's what was back then in the Old Testament. It is happening today. And I thought about the name or the title when you, some people may not know it, but it's called eminent domain. Eminent domain. Some of you that don't know what eminent domain means, it means that when the rich and the wealthy The big companies declare that they need that little house that grandmama and granddaddy left you. They want it. Now they going to come to you and ask, Melvin, we'll give you about $25,000 for it. But we got to have it. Then you say, well, I can't give it to you. I can't sell it to you. That's grandmama and great granddaddy property that they blessed the family with. And they said, well, Mr. Houston, he's kind of acting unwillingly. And so we got to step a little higher and kind of move him on out of the way because he's stopping progress. We got a big highway coming through here. We got a big mall we want to put up over here. And that little old piece of property he got, I'm giving it more than what it's worth. But that ain't what it's about, Melvin. It's about takeover. The rich want to get richer. The 40 acres and a mule they got, they want another 40, Melvin. And you in the way. Don't offer you more than what is worth. Example, now example. First King. First King, 21st chapter. First King. 21st chapter. You've heard it, you read it, but like we all said, we'd like for you to see the word of God and read the word of God for yourself. First King, 21st chapter. So I'm at verse one, you have it, say amen. Amen. And it came to pass after these things that Nabal, the Jesualite, had a vineyard, which was in Jezreel, hard by the planets of Ahab in Samaria. That's right. And Ahab spoke unto Nabal, saying, give me thy vineyard, that I may have it for a garden of herbs, because it's near unto my house, this the king now, It's near to the palace, y'all. And I will give thee for it a better vineyard than it. Or if it seem good to thee, I will give thee the worth of it in money. A neighbor said unto Ahab, the Lord forbid me that I should give the inheritances of my father unto thee. And they have came into his house heavy and displeased because of the word which the neighbor, the Jesualite, had spoken unto him. For he had said, I will not give thee the inheritance of my father. And he had laid him down upon his bed and turned away and faced and would not eat bread. Like a little kid. Cause this man won't sell you his vineyard. Won't give it, it's close to the palace over here. Convenient to me. I need you to sell it so you can get on out of my way. Now go on down, like I said, for the sake of time, verse seven. And Jezebel, his wife, said unto him, Dost thou now govern the kingdom of Israel? Arise and eat bread, and let not heart be merry. I will give thee the vineyard of Nabal, the Jesuit life. And so she wrote a letter in Ahab's name and sealed it with a seal and sent the letter to the elders, to the nobles that were in the city dwelling in the neighbor. And she wrote it in the letter saying, proclaim a fast and set the neighbor on high among the people. And like I said, you know the story. They set him up, got him killed. And then she went back and told her husband, Ahab, oh, he dead now. You can go and possess the land. That's the way people are today. If you got something they want, and they got the money to get it, they would do any and everything they can to get it. To get it. That's something, isn't it? Michael, go to Michael, second chapter. Little small book, Michael. Right after Jonah. Little small book, right after Jonah. Michael, the second chapter. Second chapter. Right after the book of Jonah. You have it, say amen. Looking at verse one and two. He said, woe to them that devise iniquity and work evil upon their beds. When the morning is light, they practice it. because it's in their power of their hands. And they covered fields, and take them by violence, and houses, and take them away. So they oppress a man and his house, even a man, his inheritance. That's happened today. That's happened today. They foreclosed on property. They set people up with different kind of mortgages, thinking that they could pay for it and keep it. and eventually take their land. Take their land. All right, back to Isaiah, verse 11. Five and 11. He said, woe unto them that rise early in the morning, that they may follow strong drinks, that continue until night, till wine inflame them. Boy, Kevin got on that so good this morning. Inflame them. Like I said, Calvin was teaching on being filled with the Spirit. And he mentioned about Ephesians 5 and 18. Be not drunk in the excess with wine, but be filled with the Spirit. It's something. And like Brian mentioned about Noah. Yeah, Noah, one of the first drunks in the Bible. If you want to put it like that. Lord blessed him with a vineyard, he became a husband man, a farmer in a sense. Planted a vineyard, best grapes, mulberries, figs. Boy did the dance on it, drunk it, and he drunk too much. He drunk too much. But one thing about being intoxicated with wine or strong drinks, It will physically and psychologically take control of you. It will take control of you. Now us that have drunk and got drunk, I'm pointing at a certain few that have got drunk. Us that know, I ain't gonna point at nobody else, but I'm pointing at some of us drunkers back in our old days. We know, oh I got to turn him back this way too now. I got to turn to him first. We know being intoxicated with strong drinks, it will physically and psychologically take control of you. Of you. God's people back then and God's people today. And you know, some of them will try to fix it up. They'll say, well, the Bible said a little wine for the stomach and dietary affirmatives. Now, you know, like Amos said, that little bit going to start to a little bit more. Just don't do none at all. The Lord said, be sober. Be sober and vigilant. But strong drinks. God's people back then. God's people today. God's people today. Like I said, we all, when we grew up, it was deacons in the church. Yeah. Get out of church on Sunday, they heading to the bootleg house. Some of them, yeah, what a bootlegger, Pastor. What a bootlegger. You're so right. Genesis 9 and 20, what Brent talked about. Genesis 9 and 20. Mm-hmm Yeah Genesis chapter 9 starting with verse 20 You have it save me And nor began to be a husband and he planted a vineyard and he drank of the wine and was drunken and He was uncovered within his tent. I And Ham, the father of Canaan, saw the nakedness of his father and told his two brothers without, went back laughing. See your daddy now, naked, he drunk. Went back and told his two brothers. And Shem and Japheth took a garment and laid it upon both their shoulders and went backwards and covered the nakedness of their father and their faces went backwards And they saw not their father's nakedness. Respect. No daddy done drunk too much. But don't just sit there laughing at him and carrying on. Show them the respect. And he got cursed for that. He got cursed for that. Proverbs 23. Proverbs chapter 23. Looking at verse 29 through 25. Proverbs chapter 23. Looking at verse 29 through 25. You have to say amen. Who has woe? Who has sorrow? Who has contention? Who has babbling? Who has wounds without cause? Who had redness of eyes? They that tarry long at the wine. They that go to seek mixed drinks. Oh, that's strong stuff, y'all. Look not thou upon the wine when it is red, when it's giving its color in the cup, or when it's bubbling, y'all. When it's moving itself aright, at the last it bite like a serpent. and stingeth like an adder, then I shall behold strange women. Oh, everything look good to you. And our hearts shall utter perverse things. Oh, you say anything. Oh, you think you Casanova. Been living in the South all your life, but when you get that liquor, that red stuff in you, you talk proper than somebody from straight out of Philly somewhere. Thine eyes shall behold strange women, and thy heart shall utter perverse things. Yea, thou shalt be as that lie down in the midst of the sea, and he that lies upon the top of a mass. Don't know where you're sleeping at. Don't care, don't hurt you. Verse 35. They have stricken me, shalt thou say, and I was not sick. I ain't sick, ain't nothing wrong with me. If they have beaten me, I didn't even know they beat me. And I felt it not. When shall I awake? I will seek it yet again. Once I sober up, I'm gonna go get me some more. How you get that knot on your head? I don't know. Who you was with last night? I don't know. None. None. You're none. To sin. I never forget, I guess 20, 30 years ago, Brandon had a reunion one year. The cousins come down from Michigan and they went down to the club and one of the brothers, cousin Mark, I think it was. Mark was so lit, he was so juiced up. He was dancing in Melbourne with a homosexual. A man he thought was a woman. And his brothers and them had to get a hold of him and let him know, fool, get over here and sit down. But because he was intoxicated and drunken, his eyes couldn't see. I said, everything look good. To a drunk man, yes it does. Everything look good. But little do you know that has taken control. That's a spirit. And it took control. Praise God, it took control. Another one, like I said, we ain't gonna go there, but you've heard it. Lot and his two daughters. After the flood. That they left Sodom and Gomorrah. The two daughters plotted against themselves. There's no man that we can carry on our father's seed, so let us lie with him. They got him drunk. They got him drunk. And both daughters lied with him and conceived. Praise God. Back to Isaiah, fifth chapter, verse 18. Verse 18. The third woe. Woe unto them that draw iniquities with cords of vanity. And sins as it were a cart rope. A cart rope. Sin on top of sin. Sin is like a person that make a rope, I can put it to you like that. And to extend the rope, you want to make it longer and longer. In other words, as the rope get longer, the sins get longer in an individual's life. Like Amos or somebody mentioned, that little sin become a big sin. Instead of like a little wagon of sin, now you got a whole cart. You're pulling a whole cart of sin. It's like a consuming fire. That old saying, you tell one lie, you gotta tell two. Until you keep lying and you keep lying until you keep lying. Sin on top of sin. Isaiah, go to Isaiah 59th chapter. Isaiah 59, just flip over. 59th chapter, looking at the first four verses. Isaiah 59, first four verses. When you have it, say amen. Amen. Isaiah, the 59th chapter, the first four verses. Then it reads, behold, the Lord's hands is not shortened that he cannot see, neither is his ear heavy that he cannot hear. But your iniquities have separated between you and your God, and your sins have hid his face from you, that he will not hear. For your hands are defiled with blood, and your fingers with iniquities. Your lips have spoken lies, your tongue has muttered perverseness. None call it for justice. Not only pleaded for truth, they trust in vanity and speak lies. They conceive mischief and bring forth iniquities. Iniquities after iniquities. Sin after sin. A cut load. Like Kevin mentioned, I think, this morning, he said when he was in the service and his buddies and his friends, they offered him a drink. And because he wanted to hang with them, he was willing to take that drink. They didn't force it on him. But see, some people can, I've heard them say, well, I can drink and hold mine. But see, another person could take one beer or something, and they'd be totally intoxicated. But what I'm getting at is that that one drink could lead to another drink. And another drink lead to drugs. And one drug lead to another drug. And what I'm saying then, you've got a cart load. You've got a cart load. It's not only the drinking now, but it's the smoking and it's doping and everything else that you loaded into that cart of sin that you're carrying now. That you're carrying. Second Thessalonians, second chapter. Second Thessalonians, second chapter. Second Thessalonians. Second chapter, looking at verse 11 and 12. Second Thessalonians, verse 11 and 12. You have it, say amen. Amen. And for this cause, God shall send them strong delusions that they should believe a lie, that they all might be damned and believe not the truth. but has pleasure in unrighteousness. That's that cart full of sin. You done got so full of your truth, truth ain't even in your mind no more. Like the Lord said, he turned him over to a reprobate mind. Because there's sin on top of sin. He just turned him over to a reprobate mind. Isaiah 5 and 20. Back to Isaiah. The fourth row. You have to say amen. Amen. Amen. Amen. Amen. Amen. Amen. Amen. Amen. Amen. Amen. Amen. Amen. Amen. Amen. Amen. Amen. Amen. Amen. Amen. Amen. Amen. Amen. Amen. Amen. Amen. Amen. Amen. Amen. Amen. Amen. Amen. Amen. Amen. Amen. Amen. Amen. Amen. Amen. Amen. Amen. Amen. Amen. Amen. Amen. Amen. Amen. Amen. Amen. Amen. Amen. Amen. Amen. Amen. Amen. Amen. Amen. Amen. Amen. Amen. Amen. Amen. Amen. Amen. Amen. Amen. Amen. Amen. Amen. Amen. Amen. Amen. Amen. Amen. Amen. Amen. Amen. Amen. Amen. Amen. Amen. Amen. Amen. Amen. Amen. Amen. Amen. Amen. Amen. Amen. Amen. Amen. Amen. Amen. Amen. Amen. Amen. Amen. Amen. Amen. Amen. Amen. Amen. Amen How did we get to where we're at? Amazing. Amazing. I mean, when you think about the perverseness of sin that's so rapid in this country, and how even I've heard even people that are not saved, Rosie, they say, it's crazy. This is crazy. These are people that are not sane. I mean, and they saying something wrong here. I mean, like I told Brian last week, we was trying to watch something movie, some show or something. And pop, there it is. Two men. And I mean, just a glimpse of it. They're like, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, man. That's what it should do to a believer. And it makes you want to throw the TV out the window. Even the commercials calling evil good. That's judgment, y'all. That's judgment on this nation. That's judgment. And we're wondering, how far is it going to go? It's going to go to the end. You right, Chuck. You ain't seen nothing yet. Your Secretary of Health in the White House is a transgender. If you hadn't seen the picture of him, Now, I'm just going to say this very quick. Now, don't take this and look at me kind of strange now. But if I was going to dress up, Pastor, to look like a woman, I would at least be one of the prettiest women that you could see. Chuck a frown up at that. But what I'm saying, man, but what I'm getting at, this Secretary of Health, he's one of the ugliest women I ever did see. to want to call himself a woman. Y'all Google it sometime and pull it up and look at it. You'll see what I'm talking about. He's an ugly man, and he's an ugly so-called wannabe woman. Ugly. Hoo-wee. I'm just saying it, y'all. I'm just speaking it now. I'm going to move on. I'm going to move on. I see that scared some of y'all. But it scared me when I looked at it. You're going to call yourself a woman looking like that? Look like something on a horror show or something. That is a delusion. That is a delusion. John, third chapter, John 3, 319. John 319, why are we in this situation we in? Why and how? John 319. John 319, you heard it, you read it? Yeah, John, gospel of John, chapter three, verse 19. Why, why, why, why, why, why, why are we in this situation we in? Why, why? Third chapter of John. Verse 19, you have it, say amen. And this is the condemnation, that light is coming to the world, and men love darkness rather than light, because their deeds are evil. And everyone that doeth evil hated the light, neither come to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved. The Lord'll shine light on it. Men love darkness rather than light. That's the time we're living in. They love darkness rather than light. The light of the gospel should open your eyes to speak against this. First Timothy, fourth chapter. First Timothy, fourth chapter. First Timothy, fourth chapter. Looking at the first two verses. First Timothy, fourth chapter. You have to say amen. Now the Spirit speaketh expressly that in the latter times, some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits and doctrines of devils, speaking lies and hypocrisy, having their conscience sealed with a hot iron, with a hot iron. Can't feel nothing, don't want to feel nothing, don't want to accept truth, Truth or nothing, they don't care. Because they're so numb to sin. And even some God's people, because he mentioned in his word that the time of apostasy is here. A falling away. A falling away of God's word. The faith of his people that's compromising with the sins of the world. Compromising. I am not going to apologize for somebody's sin. If you love them, you will tell them in love. Tell them in love. But do tell them. And don't compromise with them. Then let them think it's okay. That it's right. It's not right. It will never be right. We as believers were never accepted to be right. As long as breath in my body, it will never be. I don't care if it's my brother, my sister, my mother, my child, whoever it is, it will never be right. Sin is sin. All unrighteousness is sin. Second Timothy, flip on over to Second Timothy, fourth chapter. Second Timothy. Flip on over, Second Timothy, fourth chapter. Looking at verse three and four. You have it say amen. For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine. But after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers having itching ears. And they shall turn away their ears from the truth and shall be turned unto fables. That's what's happening today. It happened back then, and it's happening today. Like Minister Kerwin mentioned this morning, those people back then were real people, real sins. Like today is real. It's happening today. Real sins. Ain't nothing new under the sun. You ain't come up with no new kind of sin. That's it, pastor. Oh, well, this is how I feel. I'm a gay Christian. Ain't no such thing as a gay Christian. I'm born again. I'm delivered. I'm set free. I ain't even an old man. I'm a new creature in Christ. Old things done passed away. Behold, all things become new. Excuses, excuses. But they ain't going by here. Never. Never. Titus, flip over to Titus. Titus, first chapter. Flip over to Titus. Amen. Book of Titus, first chapter. Amen, look at that verse 10 and 11. Titus, first chapter, a little small book after 2 Timothy. You have it, say amen. Amen. Whose mouth must be stopped, who subvert whole houses, teaching things that they ought not for filthy lucre sake. A lot of ministers do that. They ain't God ministers though. One of themselves, even a prophet of their own said, The cretins are always lies, evil beasts, slow bellies. This witness is true, wherefore rebuke them sharply, that they may be sound in faith. Sound in faith. Rebuke them, tell them the truth. Tell them the truth. You know, I think about our young kids. You know, our grandkids, Rose. You know, and that's who they're trying to attack, you know, now. They're trying to attack the kids. I mean, at an early age. And if you're not talking with your child, your grandchild, and letting them know what thus said the Lord, this world system, this public school system, will take your child and corrupt their mind to try to instill in them that it's okay for two little boys to kiss each other. Or two little girls. Like Pastor said, they done turned gay Superman a gay lover. Robin got a gay lover. This stuff is crazy, man. We grew up years and years and years and years ago. And Superman always been a man. And Superman ain't never loved James Bond. Superman liked Lois Lane. Now what happened to Lois Lane? They don't say nothing about Lois, Melvin. They want to put Lois out in the picture. Superman liked Lois, not some other man. See, folks don't think about stuff like this. I'm just being real now. Any of you know that read a comedy book or seen cartoons on TV? Superman liked it lowest. Not James, or John, or whoever it is they're trying to give him to. I get hot, man. It do something to me. Pastor said he don't sweat, but I sweat. It do something to me. Good Lord. Let me move on, y'all. Let me move on. I'm gonna move on. Isaiah 521. Isaiah 521. Praise God. Isaiah 521. Praise God. Warn to them that are wise in their own eyes and prudent in their own sight. In their own eyes. Now, this is one of the worst and deceivable people that Somebody that think they know it all. They know it all. You can't tell them nothing. I see Tony back there. He know I'm coming at him. He know I'm coming at him. Tony was like that once before. But I thank God for him today. And see, it's a blessing too because now God took that old Tony that thought he knew something back then. Well, everything, I say everything, Rosie. And God has blessed him, I mean, with the knowledge he has of God's word. And like Pastor said a lot of times, Tony is like that administrator. He research, he dig, he bring articles, Rosie, a lot of material that we do and stuff, God has blessed him with that time, the knowledge to research it and bring it before the pastor. And I thank God for it. I thank God for it. I do, I do. But he said, verse 21, woe unto them that are wise in their own eyes, and put it in their own sight. Woe to them. Woe to them. Of all the deceitful people, this is the worst one. Self-exaltation. Want to be important. The main person that you go to, you got to go to to see about this, see about that. People want to be on that pedestal. People want to be known to be the one that know it all. But see, that's self. That's self. Like it was back then, it's like that today. It's like that today. And I like Breanne. Breanne, when she said, Breanne said a long time ago, she said, we're still under construction. I don't care how much you know, how much you think you know. It's still some learning you can learn. It's still some nuggets that the Lord want to show us and reveal to us. I don't care how much you think you've received or you've taken in. Paul, the great apostle, wrote several books in the New Testament. But Paul said the Lord gave him a thorn in his flesh. A thorn in the flesh that he wouldn't get to big head. Talked four and five different languages. Seven different languages. But the Lord wanted to keep him humble. And Paul asked the Lord, Lord remove this thorn. Lord, my grace is sufficient. See, every so often, when you think you may have a ride, if you think now, if you think now, I ain't saying you have or you are. If you think you have a ride, you need an anchor. You need an anchor. And that anchor's gonna keep you grounded to where you don't get ahead of yourself. Get the big head, Pastor. Get the big head. It sure will. The big head. Proverbs 26 and 12. Proverbs 26 and 12. Amen. Proverbs 26 chapter. Verse 12. You have to say amen. Since our man wise in his own conceit, there's more hope of a fool than of him. He's a bigger fool than a fool. That's a fool fool. I think he's wise in his own And you know, I've heard people say over the years, you know, different people, guys or whoever, I can't remember who it was, but this one guy, he was boasting about how much he had, things in the houses and material things and all of this. And he told this other person, other guy, whoever it was, he said, he got all of this by himself. That's a self-made man, man. But see, we call him a fool. They call him what he is, Pastor. That's a fool. And even the fool, the Bible says, said in his heart, there ain't no God. I know a lot of fools was like that, Melvin, but they came to realize one day that there is a God and he's true. and he will do what he said he will do. I'm a living witness. I can testify for my life, my life. Luke 18, Luke 18 and nine. As we get ready to wind down, Luke 18 chapter nine, verse nine. 18th chapter, starting with verse nine. You have it, say amen. Amen. And he spake this parable unto certain which trusted in themselves that they were righteous and despised others. Two men went up to the temple to pray, the one a Pharisee and the other a publican. The Pharisee stood and prayed thus, with himself. God, I thank thee that I am not as other men are, extortionist, unjust, adulterous, or even as this old publican over here. Look at him with his old ragtag clothes on. I fast, Lord, twice a week. I give tithes of all that I possess. And the publican, standing afar off, would not lift up so much his eyes unto heaven, but smote upon his breast, and saying, God, be merciful to me, a sinner. I tell you, this man went down to his house justified, rather than the other. For everyone that exalted himself shall be a base brought down low. And he that humbled himself shall be exalted. Be exalted. It make me think about we got a little young officer on the job there and he just head over heels. He want to be a corporal. And he came to me and he told me, he said, Officer Dudley, he said, I want to be a corporal. You know, I know all the posts. I know this and that. I know, you know, blah, blah. And I said, Benzel, I said, don't strive to want to be this. I said, if it comes, it will come to you. I said, but you don't go around him telling them that you want to be a corporal. I said, because they frown up on that. And so one of the other officers, he's sort of like a rover. He's kind of moving up. He come around, and he tested us. Rosie, he tested us on the 10 codes. We got radio 10 codes, you know, like policemen or whatever. 10-5, 10-8, 7. And he went to Benzel, and he asked Benzel. He was calling out the codes. And Benzel couldn't remember all the codes. See, he failed one of the tests already. Because see, in order to know the codes, the codes are where we communicate with each other. If you're in trouble and you need help out in the lot, you need to know what a 1033 is. A 1033 is an officer need immediate assistance. You need to know your codes. So you want to be this and that, but you don't even know how to communicate on the radio. You see what I'm saying? So just stay humble. Stay humble. And what God got for you, you'll get. The devil in hell can't stop it. If God got it for you. If he got it for you. Verse 22, Isaiah 522. Last war. Isaiah fifth chapter. Verse 22, you have it say, amen. Woe unto them that are mighty to drink wine, and men of strength to mingle strong drinks. See this was a different group of drunkards here. This was a group of drunkards of the judges. Instead of dishing out what they supposed to dish out. to the righteous, they was rewarding the wicked. Rewarding the wicked. Strong drinks. Go to Ephesians five. That's the one Kevin took from me this morning. And it was good too. It was good. Ephesians fifth chapter. Amen. Ephesians 5th chapter. Amen. Looking at verse 15 through 21. You got 15 through 21. You have it, say amen. Send in that ye walk circumspectly, not as fools, but as wise, redeeming the time because the days are evil. Wherefore, be ye not unwise, but understanding what the will of the Lord is. And be not drunken with wine or in excess, but be filled with the Spirit, speaking to yourself in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord. Giving thanks always for all things unto God and the Father, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ. Submitting yourself one to another in the fear of God. In the fear of God. In the fear of God. Submitting yourself to one another. Last scripture, Isaiah fifth chapter. Verse 13 through 16, Isaiah the fifth chapter. 13 through 16. And this is the end. If you continue in the situations that you're in, this nation and all nations, Isaiah 5, 13 through 16, you have it, say amen. Therefore, my people are gone into captivity, because they have no knowledge, and their honorable men are famished, and their multitude dries up with thirst. Therefore, hell has enlarged itself, and opened her mouth without measure, and their glory and their multitudes and their pumps. And he that rejoices shall descend into it. And the mean men shall be brought down. The mighty men shall be humbled. And the eyes of the lofty shall be humbled. But the Lord of hosts shall be exalted in judgment. And God that is holy shall be sanctified in righteousness. If this nation continue and the way we are headed. The judgment of God is already upon this nation. But God will let other nations come in which are already here and shut this nation down completely. the more destitute that we're in, the morality, God will let this nation be took over like other nations. Like it was then, it shall be today. Think about it. Think about it. This country. When I listen to different news, it's talking about the ships Up in California in the oceans, the cargo ships that's loaded with merchandise and material and stuff. If you've seen that picture, think about this. All of them ships has merchandise and material that come from other countries. Other countries. that's making stuff, that's growing stuff to ship over here. You think gas prices are high. You think the shelves are empty. But if the Lord put a halt to all of them ships, which is in the process now, Think they got stuff? Y'all see what I'm getting at? China, China make the chips that go in different vehicles over here. My sister Diane work at Honda. They had to shut down for two, almost three weeks, Melvin, because they didn't have the chips. Who made the chips? China make the chips. Brandon, I think, worked for Mercedes. They had a shortage of chips. Different departments got shut down because there were no chips. Y'all see what I'm getting at? That's the judgment of God. Let's pray. Oh, Heavenly Father, Lord, I thank you for your word.
