We're going to get rid of them and this is the smallest vapor portion of our life that we're in these bodies, amen. John chapter number 10, verse 25, he answered them, I told you, and you believe not. The works that I do in my father's name, they bear witness of it. But you believe not, because you're not under my sheep. And I said unto you, my sheep hear my voice. And I know them, and they follow me. And I give unto them eternal life. and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand. My Father which gave them me is greater than all, and no man has ever plucked them out of my Father's hand. And I and the Father are one. Basically talking about the Tycoon God there, talking about the dead gift of Christ there. He's talking about eternal salvation there. He's talking about here the conviction and the following of the Spirit of God there. I mean, there's a whole lot there, amen. but I believe a lot of Christians deal with, a lot of Christians may need some help with. And I know we're good and solid Christian folk, but more often than not, most folk, I know I've preached about this several times over the past year, but more than likely, at some point in your Christian life, you got to a place where maybe you was down, maybe you was discouraged, maybe you was fighting a lot of things in life, but you got to a place where there's some doubts in your mind, that God is there for you, amen? That always ties back to salvation, because we know he'll never leave us or forsake us. We know that he lives within us. We are engulfed by him, amen? We were baptized into him. He is in us, and we are in him. So any time we're thinking that God's not there and God's not doing that, I mean, we're doubting really the basic doctrines of our soteriology. We know Peter teaches that men had forgotten that they had been purged from their sins, amen? That they had forgotten in the sense of they were wondering where God was. They were wondering and they did not know that they were saved. And really it's because we cannot completely understand why God does what he does and how he deals with men and how he does things. We can understand the basic facts. And the way things happen in your life, you'll kind of die at what you believe about all that. I'll give you an example. I know a fella that lived like me. He was raised up in this thing, heard preaching, never really was under any conviction, never at least not enough to turn to him. They claimed he never had no repentance in his life. And he lived like hell like me, but then he got in that gang. He felt the condemnation of all, of the sin of his life, of the cause of the way he was saved that day. He's almost a reformed doctrine. Y'all know enough about that. He's almost a tie-point Calvinist now. He almost believes in one of the worst parts of Calvinism. He's literally told him it's one of the worst. so much power that day, he almost feels like he could have told God no, amen. But at the end of my days, this is in the Holy Ghost. And it's just because of this situation. Then I know some that were saved at a very young age, which is a wonderful way to get saved, amen. You will. He's going to say, well, it says up there, say that, and you're going to end up in that ditch over there of hyper-beliefism. You're going to end up in that ditch over there of white-cow-ism and faith-ism. You've got it all figured out, and God's this and that. Some folks have problems with salvation, have problems with this Christianity thing. Some of it's intellectual problems. They've been educated. You ain't even got to be supposed to whack those in public school. You can look it up at home, man, and find all kinds of crazy myths, amen? So the primary reason that son is still a man is called to celebrate desensitization. And I'm thankful for it. I'm thankful for it, that all that garbage ain't punched into their mind so that you can sit there and let them play all their sports and do all their stuff, and never release spirits from home, and never talk to them about the Bible, and just let them go ahead and do all that. And then when they turn 18, all of a sudden, they're telling you about a big bang and how what you ladies are trying to do. I've seen it happen. I've been doing this 10 years. Now I know I ain't home, but I've got a home number where they do everything in the world, they're not taught the Bible at home, and they don't sit down and read about what that man wrote yesterday. Pastor Randy Wilson sat down with his daughter and his wife for the past 30 years, amen, and read the entire Bible as a family out loud at breakfast every day, amen, and every year they got the whole Bible read through, amen. You probably ain't doing that, amen, but I tell you what, out of the mud puddle, amen. Tell them they used to be a tadpole and come all kinds of different things. Amen. But a lot of people got their salvation because of all the whitey stuff out there that they've heard and they've learned. Ain't got no time to listen to somebody preaching and never let them go. You know what it always is. Sometimes you tell them about Jesus and they start trying to act like they're a stinking chemistry scientist or something. Amen. There ain't no Jetsniders out there. I hate you, Randy! people can turn their computer on, because that chip's in their brain. They just stay and get the turns on, talk about how they're going to take that chip. They'll be able to download your memory and create another you. You'll be able to die. They'll be able to put that chip in another body. You'll be you, because they'll have that memory. I said, man, when the hell is God just going to come back? He said, well, they've been saying that for 1,000 years. They've been saying, he's going to come back in 1,000 years. I'm a Christian, blah, blah, blah. And then he's telling us he's a Christian out of nowhere. He says, you don't believe in the Big Bang? We don't believe in a big man. Jesus created it. Jesus created it. He said he made everything. What do you mean Jesus? He said Jesus. He said God is the new Jesus who is God. And I'm just telling you, there's so much crazy stuff out there. Hey, man, if you go play around on the internet, people will miss Harvard for you before you know it. Yeah. I'm here to tell you, it's all for a business thing, man. It might be intellectual problems. It might be internal problems that people deal with. you got in a room that's gone so far, amen? We ought not even think that. I've never had that issue, but I know a lot of men that say, you don't know what I've done. You don't know who I am. And I've known a lot of people that was raised a certain way or in certain things, and they just don't feel worthy. Well, we're not worthy. Amen. But they feel like they can't even be saved. I don't know what the problem, intellectual, internal, or whatever it may be. But I'm glad that we're all sinners, amen. And because we're all sinners, Christ died for us. And he shed his blood, and because of his blood, we can all be saved. It says, all have sinned and come short of the glory of God. But pray to God from a famous verse, for God so loved the world that he gave his Holy Begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him shall not perish, but have everlasting life. Amen. And all the way back after Christ dies on the cross, amen, Paul's preaching the gospel of grace, amen, and Satan begins to attack the body. It's been going on for thousands of years. You put on the heart, maybe there's somebody in the room that needs this God, I believe that. And God, I pray you'd help them, Lord. I pray you'd encourage us as a church this morning, Father. Thank you, Lord, for salvation, in Jesus' name, amen, amen. Remember, one reason that you would doubt your salvation, amen, is because of the sin in your life. as he gave us commandment, and he that keepeth his commandments dwelleth in him, and he in him, and hereby we know that he abides in us by the spirit which he giveth. So there's a spirit in us, and we are assured of our salvation. We know that he abides in us, amen? But that statement started with an and, it's a conjunction, amen? He that keepeth his commandments rather than him. Listen, if you don't keep his commandments, he's never going to lead you nor forsake you. But we preached a long time ago about the battle of the When a man follows the flesh in his life over and over and over, you know what that is? That's essentially you, amen. When you struggle with that sin, and you never get victory over the flesh, and you follow that flesh, you are over and over and over again hushing and not heeding to the leading and guiding of the Spirit of God that lives in you, like 1 John just told us, amen. And guess what? If you've yielded to the flesh over and over and over to the fact that you are ignoring... Now, I've got a Bible verse, and I don't really know how to say it yet, but when you hush the Spirit of God over and over and over over some sin, do you really think you're going to hear what it says to you in other situations? I mean, if you take that sin in your mind and say, you know what? Shut up, Holy Ghost! I'm just going to keep doing this! Stop bothering me about it. Leave me alone about it. Stop convicting my heart. I believe when that conviction fades, amen, chastisement's coming in your life. And you may not even know it. You may not even know why you're suffering going through it. But it's probably because you done shut the Holy Ghost up, amen. But if you keep telling the hush on that sin, do you really think he's going to be there? He's going to be there. But do you really think you're going You live in sin all the time and tell the Holy Ghost to be quiet. Then your daddy gets in the hospital or something. You really think he's going to give you that peace when you're sitting there in that waiting room? If I regard an angry in my heart, the Lord will not hear me. you want to do certain things in your life. And then you want to call them up just when you need them. Why do you think God's a dean and a father? So if you're doubting things in your life, and you've got different values, but you know, you believe is telling you to serve God and do more and step out. And then all of a sudden, you're fighting a dead one, thinking, man, am I saved, or thinking, you just can't get no joy, you can't get no peace, amen, because you're struggling. Good! That's God trying to show you something! He's trying to change something in your life! I'm just going to keep doing this thing. If you go on the side and do some of the stuff you do, and you can't really manually chastise them in your life, it's coming from a lot of sentimental, a lot of times you don't know, and different things like that. I'm saying to see directly. I'm reading verses directly from the Bible. I'm praying for you. Believe not every spirit, but the triumph of God. Martin Luther King Jr. We got in the Word of God and understood that Jesus died for us. He didn't wash us in his blood to save us eternally. He said it's such a peaceful moment. False doctrine will really make folks doubt themselves. There's a lot of us, you know what I'm saying? Even in our community, we've got a lot of infants under the bed. There's a lot of false doctrine around here. And a lot of folks that will live in fear because they just aren't gratified that Jesus died for them. But salvation is based on what? The truth of the word of God. That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in thy heart that God has raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart, man believeth in the righteousness, and with the mouth, confession is made unto salvation. And if you put your faith and trust in the truth, And if you put your faith in the truth of the word of God, that the feelings will come later, amen? It's faith in the facts, then the feelings come, amen? You've got the facts presented in the gospel. No man ever got saved. No man ever got born again without knowing the gospel of Jesus Christ. And once you know those facts and you put your faith in it, amen, then the feelings will come. So you can't always base your assurance of salvation on feelings. Because there's going to be times in your life that are difficult. Times in your life that are... That's why I want more people out there saying, I'll read the word of God, amen? Because how many times a saint will attack you? How many times you'll go through things and in your feelings, It'll be tough, amen, but you've got to say, I believe the word of God. You've got to read the word of God. It is alive this morning, amen. And you get that word of God in you, and it'll insure you of your salvation. Is that the show? Thank you. He was doing his best to make me doubt the words of God. All he had to do was create that little bit of question. That's why I don't like him as soon. All he had to do was create that little bit. I mean, like the kids hearing about all the praise he just had. They're from, and I'm going in front of a loved one. Don't roll your eyes at me. They're from my old age four, man. Don't read about it. They can't make emotional decisions. You're going to put them around a bunch of crazy and get back on point too. That's how Satan changed the dial in their mind. Satan used to say, give Satan a toehold, he'll make it a foot. He wants you to doubt that he said that they may have everlasting life. He wants you to doubt that he said, whosoever shall call upon my name shall be saved. I want you to know Jesus in the Bible, what does he do? He immediately uses the same word of God to fight the devil. Matthew 4 and 4, but he answered and said, it is written, man shall not live out there alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God. Jesus goes right to the appropriate verse. Hey, they told the devil, get me behind Satan. Jesus did it best of all. Stay safe and in touch. you you. Yeah. you
