It's important not to move the landmarks because God's the one who gave them the land. God separated those boundaries out and it was Him that did it. It wasn't theirs to give away. The thing about that, you and I, if we have property beside of each other, Shane and I, we may say, well, I think the property line's here. Shane may say, I think it's there. We don't have to agree on that. See, the one that determines where the property line is, is down at the courthouse. And it's written in a book. And the only thing that really matters is what the book says. It doesn't matter what you think, what I think, it matters what the book says. And what he said was accurate. When you start studying your history, and I'm not going to preach. Some of you look like, oh no, I'm not going to preach. I want to share a verse with you. But what he said, when you look at this and you say, well, I don't know if he's accurate on that King James thing. Well, he told you there were two manuscripts. And one was Vaticanus. which came out of the Catholic Church. See, that's why when they start talking about that infant baptism and worshiping Mary, that's where that came from. And so if you believe your Bible, there's some scholars that believe when you go to the book of Revelation that the Catholic Church is that great whore, right? So I don't want my Bible from there. And then the other manuscript was in Alexandria, the Alexandrian text, which historically, if you know typology, Uh, Egypt is a type of the world. So you're saying I want your, my text, the critical text. So if it's, if it's those two things, then if it's critical, right, it's going to be critical in the wrong direction. And then the received text was Antioch and handed down through the church. Now I just know this, that the Bible said that the Lord loves the church, gave himself for it. So I'm just thinking if I'm going to get my translation from somewhere, I think I'll just get it from the one handed down through the church. Amen. I just, I want to share a scripture with you and I'm going to give you a thought. I'm not going to preach on it. Matter of fact, I'm going to preach on it later. Turn over to Genesis chapter seven, Genesis seven. And verse number two. All of the messages have lined up. And I was going to preach a message tonight. If we had time, I wanted these other men to have plenty of time to preach. And I preached enough during the year, and I felt it was important for them to have time to preach. But I wanted to preach a thought called worship in the storm. If you look at Genesis chapter seven verse two, now I want to ask you this. How many, how, when God told Noah to bring the animals on the ship, on the, on the Ark, how many did he tell him to, did he tell him to bring? Two, right? Two of every kind. Am I accurate? That's not quite accurate. The Bible said in verse 2, every clean beast thou shalt take to thee by sevens. The male and his female and a beast that are not clean by two, the male and the female. Well, here's the reason. Because he was going to kill all the animals. And those clean animals were used for sacrifice. And so God was making sure Two things, or three things. First of all, before the storm, and that sacrifice is a form of worship, right? And before the storm, Noah sacrificed and worshiped. During the storm, he had those clean beasts on there to sacrifice during the storm. After the storm, if you look and, uh, Genesis chapter seven, when he got off the boat, one of the first things he did was take those clean beast, build an altar and sacrifice to God. And so the thought I had is that Noah. Before, and we know this, Brother Matt, we always hear, you're either in a storm, just coming out of a storm, or getting ready to go in a storm, right? In life, that's life. I mean, I don't know about you, 2024, honestly, I would say, me personally, it was probably one of the most difficult years I've ever had. I mean, just when I look at it, again, I told you the other night, you wanna sit down, have a pity party, we can go sit in my office, and you'll be ready to call a psychiatrist after you hear what I tell you sometimes, right? but the thing is see we like to worship God before the storm and after the storm but he's telling us we're to worship God before, during and after and the only way we can do that is three things and that's first of all worship has to be a priority has to be the priority but then worship has to be practice It's got to be something we practice. And I don't mean practice like getting it right. I mean, it's got to be part of who you are, right? So it's got to be a priority. It's got to be practiced, but then it also has to be participation, right? Noah wasn't sitting back waiting for somebody else to offer sacrifice. He was worshiping God himself. And see, that's what I want to share with you. And I won't do it tonight again because I realized that probably many of you 2024 has been a terrible year. Been hard. But here's what I'll share with you and we'll pray. I would say this. I would say that if you can't worship and praise God, and the word worship means this, honor, respect, act of paying divine honor, reverence, paid in religious exercise. In other words, if you can't do that before the storm, when things are good, You'll never worship God in the storm. You can't worship. You can't start trying to worship God in the storm unless you make it a practice and priority of your life before the storm ever gets there. But let me say this. It's also, and this is probably where you'll get upset. It's also hypocritical to try to worship God after the storm. If you won't worship him in the storm. It's easy when your feet are on dry ground to say okay I want to worship God now. But if you won't worship him in the storm and you're waiting till the waters have recited and everything's good to worship God then that's hypocritical. Because as Kristen sang, I think it was her, we've heard so much good singing, if he's the same yesterday, today, and forever, if he doesn't change, then if he's good when there's no water and there's no storm, then he's good when there is. So I'd say in 2025, my desire, and again, I think when I share the theme with you for this year coming, you're gonna think, wow, these men, and I didn't tell them, But all of them were along the same line. And I'd say this, that God's worthy of our worship. However 2025 goes, we'd better determine now we're gonna worship him. Whether there's storm or whether it's smooth sailing. Because if he's the same yesterday, today, and forever, he's worthy of our praise. So we're going to pray again. We got like one minute before 2025 and we're going to pray in the new year together and after you're done praying.
