Well, good morning, everyone. Happy Sunday. It's good to see you all this morning. Let's all stand for a prayer and in honor of the reading of the word. Father God, Lord, we thank you for this opportunity to come and worship you in spirit and truth and to lift up the name of Jesus. We thank you that there are some new faces here. I pray that they'd be blessed and that we would be loving towards them. I pray that you would bless the message that pastor has prepared and Help us to just really consider it throughout the week, Lord, and pray that you send your healing hand to all who need it, and keep us safe this holiday season. We just lift up the name of Jesus right now, and it's in his name we pray, amen. Amen, amen. And scripture reading this morning is gonna be Ephesians 1, verses three to six. Let's all read these together, please. Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ, according as he hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before him in love, having predestinated us unto the adoption of children by Jesus Christ to himself, according to the good pleasure of his will. to the praise of the glory of his grace, wherein he hath made us accepted in the beloved. Amen. And our first hymn this morning is gonna be I Know Whom I Have Believed, and that's hymn 337 in your book if you're following along there. I know not why God's wondrous grace to me he hath made known, nor why unworthy Christ in love redeem me for his own. But I know whom I have believed and am persuaded that He is able to keep that which I've committed unto Him against that day. I know not how this saving faith to me He did impart Nor how believing in His word brought peace within my heart But I know whom I ever leave it And am persuaded that He is able To keep that which I've committed Unto Him against that day I know not how the Spirit moves Convincing men of sin Revealing Jesus through the Word Creating faith in Him But I know whom I have believed and am persuaded That He is able to keep that which I've committed Unto Him against that day Not when my Lord may come at night or noon they fret Nor if I walk the vale with Him or meet Him in the air But I know whom I have believed and am persuaded that He is able to keep that which I've committed unto Him against that day. Amen. Will you please be seated? And our second hymn this morning is going to be Nearer, My God to Thee. And that's hymn 458 in your book if you're following along. otherwise known as him 458. Even though it be a cross that raiseth me Still all my song shall be Let the way appear, steps unto heaven All that Thou sendest me, in mercy given ♪ Nearer to Thee ♪ ♪ Then with my waking thoughts ♪ ♪ Bright with Thy praise ♪ ♪ Out of my stony grease ♪ So by my woes to Thee, nearer my God to Thee, nearer my God to Thee, nearer to Thee. Amen. Will you please stand for our third hymn this morning? That's gonna be Jesus Keep Me Near the Cross. And that's hymn 280 in your book, or 280. Amen. Will you please be seated? The marketplace is empty, no more traffic in the street. All the builders' tools are silent. ♪ No more time to harvest wheat ♪ Busy housewives cease their labors ♪ In the courtroom there's no debate ♪ Work on earth has been suspended ♪ As the king comes through the gate Happy faces line the hallways, those whose lives have been redeemed. Broken homes that he has mended, those from prison he has freed. Little children in the ages, hand in hand, stand all alone, who were crippled Broken, ruined, clad in garments white as snow The king is coming, the king is coming I just heard the trumpet sounding And now his face I see The King is coming. Oh, the King is coming. Praise God. ♪ I can hear the chariots rumble ♪ I can see the marching throng ♪ And the glory of God's trumpet ♪ Spell the end of sin and wrong ♪ Regal robes are now unfolding ♪ Heaven's grand stands all in place Heaven's quiet, it's now assembled Start to sing amazing praise The King is coming, the King is coming I just heard the trumpet sounding And now His face I see I just heard the trumpet sounding and now his face I see. Thank you, dear. I appreciate the message and song. We firmly believe that the King is coming one day. What a message and song for us to think about.
