Jeremiah chapter 8 and verse
20 it says, if you all please stand for the reading of God. It says, the harvest is past,
the summer is ended, and we are not saved. I'm going to read
that one more time. The harvest is past, the summer
is ended, and we are not saved. Now turn to John chapter 4 please. John chapter four and verse 35. It says, say not ye that are
yet four months, and then cometh the harvest. Behold, I say unto
you, lift up your eyes, and look on the fields, for they are white,
ready to be harvested. Brother Gibbs, can you please
pray? So we see in both passages that
we can look at them from the lost perspective, the lost way,
that the summer has ended and they are not saved. So we need
to go as fast as we can to go reach the lost. So we need to
go before they die and go to hell. So let's go to Matthew
28, please. Matthew 28, 19 and 20. Go ye therefore and teach all
nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the
Son, and of the Holy Ghost, teaching them to observe all things whatsoever
I command you. And lo, I am with you all, always,
even unto the end of the world. Amen. So we see that in that
verse that we need to go. So now let's go to Matthew, Mark
16, 15, please. Everybody knows this verse, but
it's still good to go look at it. Matthew 16, 15, and it says,
and he said unto them, go ye into all the world and preach
the gospel to every creature. Acts 1, 8, you don't have to
go there if you don't want to. Acts chapter 1 and verse 8, it
says, By ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is
come upon you. And ye shall be witnesses unto
me, both in Jerusalem and in all Judea and in Samaria, and
unto the uttermost parts of the earth. Now one more, and it says
Luke 24, Luke chapter 24 and verse 47, please. Luke 24, 47, and it says, and
that repentance and remission of sins shall be preached in
his name among all nations, beginning at Jerusalem. And ye shall be
witnesses of these things. And behold, I send the promise
of my Father upon you, but tarry ye here in the city of Jerusalem
until ye shall be endured with power from on high. So we see
here in just about every passage that we read, there was one word,
and that word was ye. So we need to be ready to go,
and we need to be willing to go, to go preach the gospel unto
lost people. Because the fall is, if you can
say it like that, is beginning to go, is going by. So we need to get the harvest
done before they go to hell. Because if not, they'll go to
hell and they won't come out for all of eternity. Because
eternity is a long time. So, first of all, we need to
make sure we are right with God before we go. We need to make
sure that we get our sin out of our life before we go to tell
somebody else that they need to get sin out of their life.
So like Psalms 51, the Psalm of David said, purge me from
my sin. So we need to be purged from
our sins before we do anything. Then Isaiah chapter 6, Isaiah
was willing to go wherever God wanted him to go. So we need
to be willing and wanting to go wherever God wanted us to
go. But we see here that, in verse
49, that God was speaking to the people and said, stay in
the city of Jerusalem. So we need to stay until God
tells us to go. And until then, we need to be
passing our tracks and doing everything we can to go. Because
if we don't, we'll go to heaven without anybody that we've led
to the Lord. So that's why we need to go and
Go give people safety for eternity. Eternal two lights.
