Oracles Concerning Babylon, Dumah, and Arabia

In Isaiah 21:1-17, we are shown 3 more oracles
concerning nations surrounding Judah.
I. The oracle concerning Babylon.
A. Judgment is announced (vs. 1-2).
B. Two contrasting responses to the judgment:

1. Isaiah is anguished (vs. 3-4).
2. Babylon is unaffected (v. 5a).
   C. The judgment is accomplished (vs. 5b-9).
   D. The judgment's message to Judah (v. 10).
   II. The oracle concerning Dumah.
   A. The watchman is questioned (v. 11).
   B. The watchman answers (v. 12).
   III. The oracle concerning Arabia.
   A. Dedan flees the sword and hides (vs. 13, 15).
   B. Tema brings Dedan water & food (v. 14).
   C. Kedar's glory will end (vs. 15-16).
