The Fact of the Millennium - Revelation 20:1-10

This sermon points out the text of Revelation 19:11-10 should be taken as written in its plain, literal sense. Jesus Christ physically returns to earth as the conquering king. After the beast and false prophet are seized and cast alive into the lake of fire, He kills his armies with His sword. This is followed by an angel seizing and binding Satan and casting him into the abyss which is then shut and sealed so that he can no longer deceive the nations until the 1,000 years is completed. Messiah sets up His kingdom, the martyrs are resurrected and will with the rest of the saints that are part of the first resurrection reign with Him for 1,000 years. The rest of the dead are not raised until the 1,000 years are over. Satan is released for a short time at the end of the 1,000 years, who then organizes an army in rebellion which is then devoured by fire. The devil is then cast into the lake of fire to join the beast and false prophet.
