Acts 16:16-40 – Gospel Warfare in Heaven & Earth – Sermon Outline
Intro: The Gospel of God's kingdom comes to earth in Christ. It is truly the only ultimate battle and goal in all creation and in the realm of heaven. Heaven, earth, and hell are engaged either to serve Christ and His people, to win others to His cause and kingdom, or to stand against Christ and His kingdom and lead others to Satan.
Need: Our text shows us this battle that encompasses all of heaven and earth, the realms of light and darkness, angels and demons, the seed of the woman in Christ, and the seed of the serpent following the devil.
Theme: All earthly and spiritual powers wage war either for or against the Gospel of Christ.

1. Human and spiritual powers resist and humiliate the Spirit-filled Paul and Silas (16-24).
2. God's heavenly power delivers Paul and Silas and redeems the jailer's household (25-34).
3. Paul leverages political power to humiliate earthly rulers who oppose God's Gospel and power (35-40).
