Are you ready for some science now? Say yes. Okay, good, good. Four power questions to ask an evolutionist. These are some of the questions I used when I gave my testimony this morning and I talked about traveling around the country talking to scientists and professors. These are some of the questions I used. Four power questions. Here will be our topics. The Bible has answers, the origin of the universe, the origin of life, the fossil record, and the origin of dinosaurs. We will do that all in about 55 minutes, and you will understand it. So I don't give you any options here. Let's start here. The Bible has answers. Does the Bible tell us who created? Yes, it does. Almost every book of the Bible references God as the Creator. That means this cannot be a secondary doctrine if every book of the Bible talks about it. Does the Bible tell us what was created? Yes, it does. All things were created by Him and for Him. Does the Bible tell us how God created? Yes, it does. He spoke it into existence by His great power. And this is where a lot of church leaders seem to have a problem. They just can't get the idea that God is bigger than them. And He can do things they can't do. What we have, folks, is a lot of these religion professors out there telling our students, the Bible does not teach how God created. Well, over and over it tells us how God created. And Genesis says He called them into existence by His great power. He just spoke, and there they were. But we have these religion professors who just can't believe that. They would rather create God in their image. And that's exactly what's happening in our country today. Now, does the Bible tell us when everything was created? Yes, it does. And there's no controversy about this. It's called in the beginning. That is exactly how the Gospel of John also starts. Does the Bible tell us how long it took God to create everything? Yes, it does. Six literal days. Not six ages, but six literal days. How do we know that? Well, when we read Genesis 1, we have a number with the word day. A number with the word day occurs 410 times in the Old Testament, and it always means a day, never a long period of time. God defined His days of creation. Evening and morning, first day. Evening and morning, second day. Evening and morning, third day. He wrote it down in the Ten Commandments. Exodus 20, verse 11. For in six days the Lord made the heaven, the earth, the sea, and all that is in them. He made it very specific. Even Jesus Christ believed in a young earth. He did. Mark 10, verse 6. The Gospel of Mark, chapter 10, verse 6. Jesus Christ makes this statement. But from the beginning of the creation, God made them male and female. What Jesus Christ is telling us there is that man and woman were on this planet from the beginning of the creation, not after millions of years. The Bible is very explicit. Six literal days, not long ages. Nowhere in the Bible does it teach long ages. So, we have answers. We know who created, what was created, how it was created, when it was created, and how long it took to create. Does evolution provide answers? Here's a sad situation. I can go out and ask ten different evolutionists to give me a definition of evolution, and I can get up to ten different responses, and not one of them will accurately describe Darwinian evolution. Why? Because I have not found one accurate definition of Darwinian evolution in a single biology textbook in this country yet. Every one of them is so fuzzy, you can make it mean almost anything you want. We have a problem with definitions in our textbooks today. They water them down, made them fuzzy. See, when we get back to the classical scientists, the first thing they did was define their terms. See, in science, Terms, definitions must be clear and precise and state exactly what's included so we know what is not included. And we don't do that very well today. So, what is evolution? Well, it's based on a worldview called materialism. Materialism is the ideology that all that exists is mass and energy. No supernatural forces, no gods of any kind. That is the basic foundation of evolution. Therefore, if evolution is true, the Bible has to be wrong. Oh my, couldn't God have used evolution? Wrong statement by a Christian. It's not a matter of what God could have done, it's a matter of what did He do, and it's in the Bible what He did. And we showed this morning that the order of events God created everything are exactly opposite of what evolution teaches. So if you're believing God used evolution, That is an illogical statement because we have the law of non-contradiction which teaches two opposites, both cannot be true at the same time and place. And those two orders are completely different. So if evolution is true, folks, the Bible has to be wrong. But if the Bible's true, then evolution must be wrong. Okay, so that's our background. So let's get to power question number one, which is going to deal with the origin of the universe. What do we know about it? Well, we're commonly taught about 13 to 15 billion years ago, something exploded. Now, do not think of this as a dynamite explosion. That is not what evolutionists teach. The Big Bang, according to evolutionists, is a hot fireball. It's an expansion of space and time. So that's their definition of the Big Bang. And we're told from that Big Bang explosion came all the stars, the galaxies, the planets, and all life. Well, that is a very interesting story. But power question number one is, where did the matter come from to create that Big Bang? Because you cannot have something go bang until you have something that can go bang. That is just good science and logic there. Well, let's take a look at some explanations here. Paul Davies, a physicist and an evolutionist, wrote a book called The Edge of Infinity. And he's going to describe how this universe got here. And he states, the Big Bang represents the instantaneous suspension of physical laws. The sudden, abrupt flash of lawlessness that allows something to come out of nothing. It represents a true... miracle? Wait a minute. Now, we have miracles in the Bible, but we have a miracle maker, so we have a reasonable faith. Paul Davies is talking about miracles, but he has no miracle maker. That's called a blind faith. Discover Magazine, not a Christian magazine, they're going to tell us where this universe came from. And here is their scientific statement. The universe burst into something from absolutely nothing. Zero. Nada. And as it got bigger, it became filled even with more stuff that came from absolutely nowhere. And that's science. Now Joseph Silk, he's an astronomer. He's an evolutionist, but he's a very good astronomer. I have to give him credit. He's a very good astronomer. Recognized astronomer. But he does believe in the Big Bang. He wrote a book called The Big Bang. I read through his book. And I will commend the man on this because he gives a fairly honest answer. And he states, it's only fair to say we still have a theory without a beginning. That statement is not allowed in our textbooks. Why? Because it does not support evolutionism. The only thing wrong with that statement is called theory. The Big Bang does not scientifically qualify as a theory. You see, in science, a theory has to be observable and repeatable. It's really nothing more than a model or a hypothesis, but not a theory. See, we've got all confused with our definitions and terms in science. Stan Odwell, astrophysicist, NASA. Wrote a book called The Astronomy Café. He's an evolutionist. Read through his book. And I will commend the man because he does give an honest answer here. Astronomers have not the slightest evidence for the supposed quantum production in the universe out of a primordial nothingness. In other words, they have no beginning for their whole model. Now, I'm going to do something here, rather bold. I'm going to teach you how the matter got here without God. Whoa, do I get your attention now? In order to do this, I'm going to get some of you excited. This is going to get some of you very excited. We're going to use quantum physics. How many are excited? Okay, good, good. We got a couple. Yeah, quantum physics. Okay. Now, if I get a little technical on this, we'll repeat it. If I go too fast, we'll repeat it. So how did the matter get here? There was nothing. Then there was something. Did I go too fast? Wait a minute. There's a term we use for this. It's called a quantum fluctuation You have a quantum fluctuation is it's really another name for magic Because we know folks from logic and science from nothing nothing comes Oh Wait a minute Mike if you're gonna challenge me for where the matter came from this universe I Then I'm going to ask you the question, who made God? And folks, that is a legitimate question to ask a Christian. What I have found out is very, very few Christians have a clue how to answer this question. And it is a very important question because it's your chance to evangelize and you're losing that opportunity. So what we're going to do is answer this challenges. Where did God come from? Now, the way I answer this question is sometimes with questions. What I'm going to do is what we call the principle of 2 Corinthians 10.5. 2 Corinthians 10.5. I'm going to bring down their strongholds, and then I'm going to fill it with the only possible scientific answer. So that's what we're going to do. And I'll start with the Bible. Is it okay if we start with the Bible on this one? Who made God? Exodus 3 14 and God sent him to Moses. I am that I am I am Alpha Omega the beginning the end the first and last other words God is a self-existing eternal being has no beginning and no end Well, Mike, we understand that as Christians, but the non-believer won't accept that I know that But I would like to start with the Bible why? Because I'm going to end with the Bible And in the middle, I'm going to bring down their strongholds and show them that the only logical and scientific answer is God has to be the Creator. And I'm going to tell them where He came from. In fact, this tells them where He came from, right? Doesn't this tell them where God came from? He's a self-existing eternal being, no beginning, no end. And I'm going to show them that that statement is true. And it does not violate any laws of science. Because the laws of science are there to govern the material universe. Not non-material things. So, here's our lesson in science and logic. There's only three possible ways for how this universe got here. The universe created itself. The universe has always existed. or it had to be created by a creator. Those are the only three possibilities. So, if we can show the first two are not legitimate possibilities based on the laws of science and logic, that leaves us with only one possibility. So, let's take a look at the first one. Did the universe create itself? Well, two questions. Can something create itself? And can nothing create something? Well, the answer has to be no. We know from nothing, nothing comes. Now, think of this logically and scientifically. For something to create itself, what that means is it has to have the power to act before it even exists. How can anything have any power if it does not exist? Then secondly, for the universe to create itself, to pop into existence out of nothing, where is the space it's going to pop into existence? There's no space there yet. So, how can it pop into existence anywhere? So, the whole idea of the universe creating itself is unscientific and it is not logical. So, it's easy to rule the first one out. That leaves us the next challenge. Has the universe always existed? Well, in order to go into this one, we have to use one of these big words, the second law of thermodynamics. Now, what does that word mean, thermodynamics? Thermo means heat. Heat dynamics. The second law deals with heat energy. And here's where we have another problem in our textbooks. I've not found a legitimate definition in any high school biology textbook yet on the second law of thermodynamics. Well, Mike, I opened up the books and there's definitions. But they're not accurate definitions. What I see in these definitions are things such as we're going from order to disorder. Folks, that is not an accurate definition. It is only a correlation. Because there are natural processes that can go from disorder to order. Or we're going from complexity to less complexity. How do you measure that? You can't. But we can measure heat energy. And the accurate definition of the second law is energy goes from a state of usable energy to a state of less usable energy for doing work in an isolated system. That is something we can measure. And that is an accurate definition. So let's apply the second law here. And I'm going to use an example called no refills to help us understand the principle of the second law. No refills. Suppose somebody came up to you tomorrow morning and said I'd like to give you a car for free and You get to choose any car you want any car you want How many would choose an old Nash Rambler? or one of those Pintos Or Corvair's that had gas leaks in them now we wouldn't do too many that some of the Nash Rambler be you probably sell it for a lot couldn't you But you choose any car you want and everything for the lifetime of this car is free. Anything goes wrong, the repairs are free. That's a good deal. But then you go down to the bottom of the page, there's some small print. And what it says there, all you ever get for the lifetime of this vehicle is one tank of gas. No refills. That just kind of ruined everything, didn't it? One tank of gas. So what happens after you've driven this vehicle about 300 miles? You've used up all the available energy. All the gasoline has now been used up that can propel that car. That gasoline is no longer usable energy for driving that car. That's the principle of the second law. Energy goes from a state of usable energy to a state of less usable energy for doing work. And that's what happens when we use up our gasoline. That again is the principle of the second law. So, what are you going to do with the car now? Polish it, push it, maybe sell it, maybe take it apart and sell the components. That's about what you can do with it because it will no longer go on its own. Now, let's go to outer space. Stars. Stars have a finite amount of energy. They're not adding any energy to them. They're burning up their energy through a process we call thermonuclear fusion, where we burn our lighter elements into heavier elements. For example, hydrogen burns into helium. And once all the energy has been burned up, all the hydrogen's been used up in a star, what they will basically do is begin to gravitationally collapse inward, then explode into a supernova, great big gas and dust cloud. Stars have a finite amount of energy. When the energy is used up, that's it. No more star. That is the principle of the second law of thermodynamics. Now, let's look at our universe. As far as we know, we have a finite universe. There's nothing outside this universe, nothing material outside this universe, adding any energy into it. Now, I've read these journals that say, oh, there's ten universes out there, multiple universes. Do you know how much evidence there is for another universe? Zero. Do you know how much zero is? Zero. The whole idea of other universes is nothing more than science fiction speculation. They've been watching too much Star Trek. There's zero evidence. There's one universe that's all we know about. And as far as we know, there's nothing outside adding anything into it. So, we have a finite amount of energy in this universe. And the principle of the second law is throughout this entire universe. Everything's using up its available energy. So, if the universe had no beginning then, think of this, if it had no beginning, then it would be an infinite number of years old, and that is older than a trillion years. Would you agree with that? An infinite number of years? Now, infinity is not a number in mathematics. This refers to something such as time without end. Latin for boundless, unlimited extent of time. That's what we mean by infinity. So, if the universe had no beginning, let's take a look at this. No beginning. Infinite number of years old. No beginning. After about 100 million years, Most all our supergiant stars would have burned up all their energy, and there should be no supergiant stars left in this universe. Why? Because the supergiants tend to burn their energy much faster. After about 10 million years, according to evolutionist timing, all the stars like our sun would have burned up all their energy. There should be no more stars like that in the universe. After about a hundred billion years, most every star in the universe would have burned up all its energy. And certainly after a trillion years, every star in this universe would have burned up its energy. And there should be no stars left in this universe if the universe had no beginning. The stars will only last at maximum a trillion years. Is anybody seeing stars lately? If we have, then as powerful evidence, this universe had to have a beginning. Oh, but wait a minute, Mike. You left out something very important here. Stars are forming all the time out there. We're always getting new stars. That's why we see them up there. Well, how does that happen? Well, easy. We just go to our textbooks. Aren't they reliable? I don't see any comments there. How does it happen? Well, we get this great big nebula out there called gas and dust clouds. And these great big gas and dust clouds rotate around and around. And as they rotate around and around, they will begin to gravitationally collapse inward due to the rotation. And as they continue to collapse inward, they will eventually form a new star. And that's how it happens. And there's a technical term for that whole process. It's called baloney. Anybody that's taken a Physics 101 class read the chapter on heat pressure, knows full well that will not happen. Yes, those clouds do rotate around. And yes, they will gravitationally collapse inward because of that rotation. But as they collapse inward, they generate intense heat pressure. And that heat pressure is something we can measure. And it is always stronger than the gravity and will always cause that cloud to expand outward. not inward. Folks, this is something we can repeat in laboratories with gas pressure. Stars do not form. And then there's another problem. As those clouds rotate around and around, as they begin to gravitationally collapse inward, it generates that magnetic field, which gets stronger and stronger also, and will also cause that cloud to expand outward. No one has ever observed a star form. And based on the principles of physics, they will not form. So why do we still have stars out there? And here's another question. Why do they continue to put in textbooks that collapsing nebulae form stars when it is scientifically known it will not happen? Because, as we said this morning, they are more interested in promoting and teaching evolutionism in the classroom and not true science. Conclusion, the universe cannot be an infinite number of years old or it would simply be out of energy. That is a fact. So now, we've ruled out number one and number two based on the laws of science and logic. That leaves only one choice and it's called, in the beginning, God created the heaven and the earth. Now, we are ready to answer the question, who made God? Two possibilities. Two? Yes. One, we can have a regression of gods back to an all-powerful creator God. So who created God? A super God made God. Who made the super God? A super, super God made the super God who made God. And you keep going back and back and back, and eventually you get to the original God who created all the other gods. Or, There is one God who created everything. Those are our two choices. And this, I will use what we call the principle of Occam's razor, which teaches, if you've got more than one possibility, use the one with the least assumptions. And in this case, Isaiah 46, verse 9 teaches, remember the former things of old, for I am God and there's none else. I am God and there is none like me. The Bible clearly teaches one God who created all things. So where did he come from? God is a self-existing eternal being, no beginning, no end. Therefore, he does not need a cause. That does not violate any laws of science. Because again, the laws of science govern the material universe. God is non-material. It is the only possible explanation we have why we have a universe at all. Therefore, if scientists are unable to explain the origin of matter through naturalistic means, then they are without a foundation. Why should I accept evolution when you cannot produce the observable evidence? I already have a faith. Tell me about your faith, and I'll tell you about my faith. And by the way, tell me what your faith in evolution has to offer me, and I will tell you what my faith in Jesus Christ has to offer you. This is what we call strategic evangelism. breaking down the strongholds and giving the gospel of Jesus Christ. That is the power, not in my wisdom, not in my words, but in God's Word. Therefore, it is logical and reasonable to believe that God, not unknown magical events, created this universe. We have a logical and reasonable faith. We know who created, what was created, how it was created, when it was created, and how long it took to create. We have a logical and reasonable faith. So that was power question number one. Where did the matter come from, the greatness universe? Power question number two is going to be the origin of life. This is one of my favorite topics. I've been in front of NASA scientists twice now, and this is the topic I always use because it's a no-brainer. It's a winner for us. It's basically a showstopper to the entire evolution model, the origin of life. So how could life have started? Two possibilities, life evolved by naturalistic processes or life was created. Wait a minute, Mike. What about the possibility we came from outer space? Does that answer the question how life originated? No, it doesn't. It just pushes the question out there. So, it's not a legitimate solution. There's only two possibilities, naturalistic processes or there's a creator. Terminology. Now before I go into this section here, we need to make sure we understand our terms. We need to do a little review on some terms here. Because as I look out there, it looks like some of you may have been out of the biology classroom for a year or two. So we're going to do a little review. First term, atoms. What are they? Basic unit of matter. Atoms. Pretty simple. We've heard of atoms. Now, what do atoms do? Well, they will get together, or bond together, and they can form things called molecules, such as water, H2O. Now, what can molecules do? You get the right molecules together, and they can form things called amino acids. Now, that's going to be very important in this section. Why? Because amino acids are like the building blocks of life. If we can't get amino acids, we can't get life. So they're very important. And then finally, amino acids bond together to make things called proteins. And that's all we need for this section. That's going to make it very easy now, isn't it? Isn't it nice when we can make biology and chemistry really simple? Okay, let's take a look at attempts to create life. Anybody here remember something called the Miller Experiment? It's still in just about every biology textbook in this country. In the 1950s, Miller, Stanley Miller, set out to create the building blocks of life in a laboratory. Now, we're not saying he tried to create life. That was not his objective. His objective was to get the building blocks. He wanted to form amino acids through naturalistic processes. So he built this in his laboratory called the Spark Chamber. And in there he tried to simulate what he believed the Earth's atmosphere was like these alleged billions of years ago. So he put gases such as methane and ammonia in there, then he left oxygen out. Then he generated electrical sparks in there to drive the chemical reactions. Then it goes on to state he got amino acids. And folks, that is a fact. Miller did get amino acids. So now we can teach why do we need a creator God when we can do it ourselves. Because that is what they're teaching in our secular schools in this country. How about we do a little critical thinking here? Something we're not allowed to do in many of our state-run schools. They've abandoned the ability to critically analyze evolutionism. First thing, why did Miller use the gases he did? Why did he use meth and ammonia? Why did he leave oxygen out? We want to look at that. And what type of amino acids did Miller really get? The textbooks say he got amino acids used in life and leave it at that. Let's analyze what he really got. So we'll start here. Oxygen and life. Miller left oxygen out of his experiment. Why did he do that? Well, Miller was a very smart man. He was a very smart man. He knew, as we know today, that in the presence of oxygen, life cannot start. Why? Because at the molecular level, oxygen destroys chemical bonds. It's like a corrosive. This destroys chemical bonds. So, in his experiment, he had to leave all the oxygen out. Even though the scientific evidence clearly supports this planet has always had oxygen in the atmosphere. In other words, our textbook authors are deliberately ignoring the scientific evidence to help support evolutionism. In other words, the only way evolution can be supported is don't use science. Isn't that amazing? And yet we're called unscientific? So, let's play the game here for a moment. Let's assume There was no oxygen in the atmosphere in those early years. And if there was no oxygen in the atmosphere, that means we also have to take away something very important called the ozone. It's made out of oxygen, O3. And do you know what happens when we take the ozone away? We all become instant crispy critters. That's the technical term. Why? The ultraviolet rays of that sun will come down and destroy any potential life. So what we know, based on observable and repeatable science, is that life cannot start in the presence of oxygen, and it cannot start without oxygen. This is looking pretty good, isn't it? But there's another story they use in the textbooks. We didn't start on the land. We crawled up out of the oceans. That's how it happened. Life started so far down deep in the oceans, the sun's rays could not penetrate that far. That's how it happened. And I just love it when people make that statement. I bring up a word called hydrolysis. Hydro means water. Hydrolysis literally means water splitting. See, we need water to survive, but at the molecular level, water destroys chemical bonds. Matter of fact, water's one of the worst places in the entire universe for life to begin. So, what are we looking for on the moon? We look for water there, didn't find anything but dust. Look for water on Mars, where do we find dust? If there's water up there, folks, life cannot start in it. It just doesn't work. There's not many places left for life to start now, are there? This is looking better and better. But we do need to address this piece. Miller did get amino acids. That is a fact. Now, amino acids. There are literally hundreds and hundreds of different types of amino acids. But only 20 are used in life. That means life is very selective. You get one of these wrong amino acids and you could be in big trouble. Now these amino acids come in two shapes. Just like we have a left hand and a right hand. My left and right hand are about the same, aren't they? Four fingers and a thumb. But are they really the same? No. Because look what happens when you put one hand behind the other. The thumb and fingers are on the opposite side. So your hands really aren't the same. But what they are, are mirror images of each other. Now, why is that important? Because amino acids come in the same two kinds of shapes. Guess what we call them? This makes it really easy. Left-handed amino acids and right-handed amino acids. Now, we have other technical terms for them, but predominantly what you're going to see is left and right-handed amino acids. What's the difference between them? Well, like our hands, they're made up of the same components, same atoms, and also like our hands, they are mirror images of each other. Now, why is that so important? This becomes important because every single amino acid in every protein in your body, and you have trillions and trillions of these, is left-handed. You do not have a single right-handed amino acid in any protein in your body. Matter of fact, every amino acid in every biological protein in all life forms is 100% left-handed. Why is that important? This becomes important because of what the textbook authors and the evolutionists are unwilling to tell us. And that is, the Miller experiment, what it ended up with was an even mixture of 50% left-handed and 50% right-handed amino acids. And ladies and gentlemen, that is not life. That is about as far away from life as you can get. In other words, the whole experiment is a known and recognized failure, but they continue to put it in the textbooks. Every experiment we've done since then has always ended up with about an even mixture of left and right-handed amino acids. Even when we start with all left-handed amino acids, they will naturally start reverting back to a mixture of left and right-handedness. In other words, the natural tendency is always away from life, never towards it. So how could it ever get started? And it gets better. It just keeps getting better. We're made up of 100% left-handed amino acids. And when we die and we become as dead as we can be, and that will be pretty dead, do you know what happens to our 100% left-handed amino acids? They start reverting back to a mixture of left and right-handedness. What did Miller really simulate? Death, a poison to life. That is the best that man can do. No one has ever even created one single small biological protein, let alone the DNA and RNA and all these other components. We can't even come up with one small biological protein. That's how far away we are. Now, I have a question. Why do they continue to put known wrong information in the textbooks? Now, I'm going to give that answer. In order to give that answer, I need to do an illustration. And also, in order to give this answer, I'm now going to exercise my spiritual gift in front of you. That gets people, now I've got your attention. No snakes. Incidentally, I have a unique spiritual gift. It is called creating anxiety in other people. And I'm about to do that. Because in order to illustrate this, I'm going to give you a math problem. Anybody anxious yet? Okay. Now, I'm going to give you this math problem and you all must have an answer. Why? Because I'm just going to call on you. And I'm going to call on you even if you aren't looking at me. I can see the anxiety out there, and you're the people I'm going to call on. Notice I slow my speech down when I do this? Because I really enjoy doing this. Now, let me give you the math problem, and before you try and answer, let me qualify what kind of answers you can give. So, here is your math problem. How much is 3 plus 1? And you cannot use the number four, because I do not like the way it looks. It's a little bit too religious for me, and we're talking science here tonight. Now, I want your answer as an exact number. I will not accept 3.999 repeating. No fingers. Keep your shoes on. Do not want to see your toes. I do not want the answer spelled out. I do not want to see any Roman numerals. I do not want any equations like 2 squared or 10 minus 6. If you're multilingual, I want your answer in English. And if you're one of these computer people, I want your answer in base 10. And if you give me one of these wrong religious answers, you will be doing pushups. So, do I have any volunteers to 3 plus 1 before I just start randomly calling on people? Yes, sir? That is a formula. You owe me 20 push-ups. We can do it on the honor system. We'll not accept that. That's a formula also. And you haven't fed me yet today, so you owe me push-ups. You can do them on the honor system. You have 20. Okay, we got another volunteer. Oh, you can't do that. That's religious. We're talking science. You have 20 push-ups. Somebody in your family has to do 20 push-ups. You're religious people who don't understand science. Holding the whole country back. Okay, let me try somebody. I saw those fingers move in the green shirt there. That's a volunteer movement right there. That's what we do in the military. And you were thinking seven, weren't you? Go on. Seven. I knew you knew math. That is the correct answer. Thank you very much for that. Thank you. I saw you move. I knew you would volunteer eventually. And you were thinking what? Thirteen? Very good. 13 is the correct answer. Well, I see some more volunteers back there. Thank you for volunteering. And you were thinking 6, weren't you? Exactly right. Thank you. Thank you. Now wait. How can all these different answers like 7 and 13 and 6 be correct to a simple problem like 3 plus 1? Well, here's the solution. See, if you rule the truth out, you cannot accept the truth. You must accept anything in its place. And folks, that is what evolution is. They've ruled out the truth of a greater God and must put anything in its place, even to the point of teaching things such as 3 plus 1 can equal 7, because that's the kind of teaching they're doing when they teach the Miller experiment succeeded, when it is known to be false. What we have experienced over these last 40, 50 years is this. Our students are coming out of these schools repeating the same mistakes over and over again because we're unwilling to teach good science anymore. We've got to get back to teaching science in the science classrooms and let our students have a fair shot Knowing the truth about science rather than hiding it How many would like to have my spiritual gift now, it's a fun one So let's take a look at some quotes here's Hubert Yockey PhD in physics wrote a book on the origin of life He is an evolutionist and he makes this statement a great deal of effort has been expended in finding fears for the origin of life without success But yet he continues to be an evolutionist why? It's because of a willful rejection of the Creator. Because Romans 1, 19 and 20 tells us, God has given us all the evidence. No one who's ever existed on this planet has an excuse for not believing in a Creator. He knows, in His heart of hearts, He knows there's a Creator. He has just chosen to reject that. John Joseph Mathadon, evolutionist, wrote a book called Quantum Evolution. How many have read that book? You don't know what you're missing. Quantum evolution. The simplest living cell could not have arisen by chance, but yet it goes on to believe in evolution. Frank Mendenhall, professor of biochemistry, Colorado State University. The origin of life was also a stubborn problem with no solution in sight. And that's where we stand today. Still, no solution. Our best scientists in the world cannot even come up with the smallest of the biological proteins. Not even close. So if scientists are unable to explain the orders of life through naturalistic means, then they're without a foundation. Why should I accept evolution when you cannot produce the evidence? I already have a faith. Tell me about your faith, and I'll tell you about my faith. And by the way, tell me what your faith in evolution has to offer me, and I'll tell you what my faith in Jesus Christ has to offer you. We're right back to the Gospel again, aren't we? 2 Corinthians 10.5, bringing down the strongholds and filling it with the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Therefore, it is logical and reasonable to believe that God, not unknown events, created life. We have a logical and reasonable faith. We know who created, what was created, how it was created, when it was created, and how long it took to create. We have answers. So, power question number one, where did the matter come to create the universe? They do not have a real answer. How did life originate? Do not have a real answer. It's all based on speculation. Power question number three, the fossil record. Mike, we don't have enough time here to do the fossil record. There's books that stick on it. Can I show you how to do the fossil record in about six minutes? You see, the important part we're doing here tonight is how to ask the right questions. In our Advanced Creation Apologetics course, I wrote a whole chapter on the value of asking questions, how to turn the whole situation around and get to the root of why they're believing what they believe. So, fossil record. Here's the typical picture we see in the textbook. We see this geologic strata column. And we have the least complex creatures on the bottom. As we move up the column, we get more and more complex. You don't have to go through there. Just go to the bottom layers called the Precambrian and Cambrian layers. Just go there. If you can't remember those names, just say the bottom layers. Why is that so important? Because what we find in these bottom layers are fossils of single cells. We find fossils of single cells. Then we find fossils of very complex creatures like trilobites, seashells, jellyfish. Very complex creatures. Now, why is that so important? Well, let's take a look at a chart here. Now, I've got a chart. On the vertical, I have time. On the horizontal, I have something called morphology. Does anybody here happen to have morphology? If you don't, you're pretty much a blob. Morphology means you have some kind of shape there. You've heard these things we morph into this and we morph into that to help these toys that do that thing Then down the middle we have a dotted line separating the pre Cambrian from the Cambrian Now the evolution story starts like this We start with this single cell from that single cell this whole tree of life begins to branch off stop right there If you let that conversation go on you just agreed with evolution You see there's an assumption in there you must catch that The statement was, we start with this single cell and the tree of life branches from there. Where did that first cell come from? Without that first cell, folks, there's nothing that can change. So, when somebody says we start with the cell, you've got to stop that conversation or you just agreed with evolution and get them to explain where that first cell came from. Don't let assumptions go. Because this is your power right there. If they cannot explain where that first cell came from, the whole rest of their story is based on no foundation. Don't let people give these wild stories and base them on assumptions. You've got to ask them the question, where did that cell come from? And if they can't explain it, say, well, you've got no foundation. Would you like to hear my story? So according to evolutionists, we have that cell, we have this whole tree of life. Now, if evolution is really, really true, since we do find fossils of single cells, we should also find fossils of two-cell, five-cell, ten-cell, hundred-cell, thousand-cell, million-cell creatures. We should find them all through the fossil record. But the fact is, what we find at those bottom levels are the appearance in the fossil record of very complex creatures with no transitions. None. In other words, if you go to the bottom of the fossil record, everything appears created after its kind. There's nothing there to support the evolution model. That's why they try and cover this up. They'll talk about the Precambrian and the Cambrian, and they'll just assume it all happened without giving any evidence. Oh, wait a minute, Mike. I open up my textbook and I see transitions all over. I see whales with legs on them, verifying that some land animal went back into the oceans and became a whale. Folks, we have found little bones on some of these large whales, about four-inch knobs there. You know what a four-inch knob is on a 70-foot long creature? That's not a leg, that's a pimple, folks. And that four-inch knob was a total misinterpretation again. Had nothing to do with the leg. It was part of the reproductive system there. And all those whales with legs on them were drawn by artists, not what was found. And I see these students coming out of these high schools saying, oh, we got abundance evidence. They're being deceived, purposely deceived into believing evolution. Whales never had legs. There's no evidence of that whatsoever. Only by artists in the textbooks. So, based on the evolution model, the entire foundation for Darwinian evolution, it's really not missing, folks. It was never there. So, why should I accept evolution when you cannot produce the evidence? I already have a faith. Tell me about your faith, and I'll tell you about my faith. And tell me what your faith in evolution has to offer me, and I'll tell you what my faith in Jesus Christ has to offer you. Therefore, it is logical and reasonable to believe that God, not unknown events, created all life after its kind. See, again, we have a logical and reasonable faith. We know who created, what was created, how it was created, when it was created, and how long it took to create. That barely took six minutes, didn't it? You see, it's learning to ask the right question. They can take you all over the phosphorite, over these whales' legs, over these transitions between dinosaurs and birds. They can take you all over the place. Don't go there. Just go down to the foundation. If they don't have a foundation, they don't have much to stand on, do they? Because what are they attacking, folks? Our foundation in the book of Genesis. So why don't we go after their foundation? Now, let's get to the last one. Dinosaurs. That's a power question. You see, asking the right question about dinosaurs. The common question is, what happened to the dinosaurs? And we gave the answer this morning. They died. That was simple. The power question is, where did the dinosaurs come from? Why is that so powerful? Well, I've been to museums all over this planet. And I've not found one transitional creature on display. Not one. This might surprise you. But it's as if the dinosaurs were created after their kind. That's exactly what the evidence shows. I was recently in a debate with a very angry atheist. Very angry atheist. Because he would make challenges and I'd answer his challenges and I'd ask him a question and he got upset because he couldn't answer them. And that's okay when people get upset. That means they're emotional and they can't think it straight. You've got an advantage. But one of the things I train people on, folks, when you're in a discussion with somebody on this issue, do not get emotional. That's hard for some people. Learn to be a good listener. You are there to be a witness. Your ultimate goal is not to win the conversation. You might do that. But that's not your only goal. You're there to be a witness for our Lord, Savior and creator of Jesus Christ. Don't forget that. Learn to listen and don't get emotional. I've been screamed at, cursed at, sworn at, even by my own brothers. And I will ask them a question when they're trying to get a breath that they cannot answer. And every time we've done that, they walk away defeated. They'll remember that. They could not win that conversation. They could not convince me. They could not produce the evidence. Let the Holy Spirit work on them. You do not have to put them in headlocks until they repent. Because there's only going to be a temporary repentance anyway. So this angry atheist, I finally asked him the question, where are the transitions leading up to the dinosaurs? And then he made this statement in front of everybody. We have a bike. I said, that surprised me. Couldn't wait to hear what he said. So I asked him, where are they? And here's his statement. And it stopped the whole conversation. He said, Mike, they're in the back rooms in the museums. He couldn't produce the evidence, so he tried to cover it up. And the audience went silent. And he knew it. The debate was over right then and there. The evolutionists simply cannot produce the evidence. That's what you call the bluff. And unfortunately, I see too many teachers doing this in the classroom, bluffing their way through the evidence. I hope we never do that as Christian teachers, because as Christian teachers, we're a higher level. Because as Christian teachers, it's not just knowledge, folks. We're there to be life changers. So, the important question, where do the dinosaurs come from? Well, here's our standard story. Dinosaurs evolved into existence about 220 million years ago. Well, if that's true, folks, we should find millions of transitions for these creatures, because they're pretty large. Well, let me show you what some of these scientists have had to say. Frank Sherwin makes this statement. If sauropods, those are the four-footed planters, evolved, then why are there no fossil pre-sauropods that have at least two or three or four of the uniquely sauropod features? As Wade's saying, folks, we can't find any transitions anywhere. Here's the Illustrated Encyclopedia of Dinosaurs. The question of the origin of dinosaurs is one that has puzzled paleontologists for many years. That statement's not allowed in our textbooks. Why? Because it's too scientific. The Natural History Museum Book of Dinosaurs. Where did dinosaurs come from? That apparently simple question has been the subject of intense debate among scientists for over 150 years. Well, how about we go to the Smithsonian Institute? Very atheistic organization. Look what they have to say. The discussion over where dinosaurs came from in the first place is often overlooked. Hypotheses of dinosaur origins have been just as controversial as those of triggers for the end crustaceous mass extinction. What does it say in there? They can't find any transitions either. That's your Smithsonian Institute. That's why they don't have any transitions on display there. It's looking like the Bible has to be true here, folks. We can't find their transitions. They were created after their kind. Now I went through a lot of books too. I did find one book that actually mentioned there was a transition. A transition. Folks, we need millions of them. But they said there was one. They called this creature a Ticondent. And over time they keep changing the names of these creatures because they keep getting found out. But let me show you what they said about Ticondents. They were small lizards that ran on two legs and gave rise to the giant reptiles collectively known as the dinosaurs. There it is, right there. They're claiming this is a transition. Well, how about we examine the evidence here. Here's our fecundant creature, standing maybe about this tall, running around on two legs. And they're making the claim that that creature evolved into a creature like a Triceratops with bony frills, long horns, and four legs and left no evidence for how that happened. And that same fecundant also evolved into creatures like the large sauropods and creatures like Stegosaurus and left no evidence. Folks, great claims require real evidence, and our students are not getting that. And the other thing I like to teach in one of our courses is something very viable here. And that is, there is absolutely no known mechanism for one kind to evolve into another kind. Why? Because mutations will not do that, and this whole concept of natural selection will not do that either. Natural selection does not add anything. It only selects from what's already there and in most cases causes a loss. And mutations have never, ever been shown to add new information. Never. But again, I watch these teachers bluff their way through to these students using examples that are entirely false. We need to start protecting our students and make sure they get the real science. You see, if scientists are unable to produce the thousands of transitions for the origin of dinosaurs, then they're simply without a foundation. Why should I accept evolution when we cannot produce the evidence? I already have a faith. Tell me about your faith, and I'll tell you about my faith. And would you tell me what your faith in evolution has to offer me, and I'll tell you what my faith in Jesus Christ has to offer you. We're back to the gospel again. Therefore, it is logical and reasonable to believe that God, not unknown events, created the dinosaurs. So we look at all these four power questions, and there are other power questions too. What is evolution? If they have no answers for any of these, no legitimate answers, what is evolution? It is faith. Strictly faith. A faith system there. It cannot ultimately be supported scientifically. See, the Bible does have answers. Who created it? What was created? How was created? When was created? How long did it take to create? And did you know something? We can know that Creator. Do you know Him? His name is Jesus Christ. If you'd like to know Him, let us know. We have a book about Him. It's called the Bible. Tomorrow, We're going to go to Apologetics 201. For all of you who feel you passed 101, we're going to 201. It's not that the questions are any harder, but we're going to look at some more amazing things. And one of the questions I'm going to challenge you, a question we all need to know how to answer, is why do you believe the Bible and not other religion books? I will show you how to answer that question and turn it around as a great evangelistic tool. and we'll answer some other very important challenges tomorrow night. The second talk tomorrow, cloning, the real results of cloning, what stem cells are, where do they come from, and should we be using them in research. Now I'm gonna show you some amazing things that have happened with the good stem cells, not the bad ones. And then the sanctity of human life. I will answer the questions, when did we become a person? And when does human life begin? And we'll end that session with seven challenges from the pro-death group. Pro-death meaning abortionist, because they advocate the killing of human beings. We'll answer the question, is abortion okay in the case of rape? Why are you Christians against a woman's right to choose? We will answer those challenges. So that will be tomorrow night. I will caution you, anyone 12 and under, I will describe what takes place in an abortion. I will not show any horrible pictures. I always advise against doing that. It is not the right thing to do. The best thing to do is show pictures of babies smiling inside the mother's womb to let people know this is not an it. This is a real living human being that can feel pain. That's what we're going to talk about tomorrow. It is a very powerful pro-life talk. So, does anybody have a final question before we leave here tonight? That makes it easy. Okay, we have the resources out there. Many, many resources you see out there. This whole talk is on this video for power questions. We also have the six-pack out there. We also have the talk on cloning stem cells and the value of life out there. So, we have many, many DVDs and resources out there. Drive carefully out there. If you need to see me tomorrow, I'm available. The only things I have planned for the morning is breakfast for noon, lunch, and then that's all I got planned. So, if you have questions, feel free to call me. And I'll be available, and if I catch you somewhere, I'm going to ask you that question, where did Cain get his wife? So be prepared for doing push-ups if you can't answer it. Thank you, and God bless all of you tonight.
