you Good morning. If you want to, tell me, well, I'll just read it to you, brother. It's in Isaiah 2620. It's something that requires of God's people when it's time to hear the gospel, to forget the things that are past, take no thought for tomorrow, right now, present, Enter thy chambers, my people, God's people, those who have been sanctified, sinners saved by the grace of God. Enter into thy chambers and shut thy door about thee. Hide thyself." And Galatians talks about, seek those things above, your life is hid with Christ in God. Jesus was 12 years old. Joseph and Mary went to the Passover. When they came back, they couldn't find the humanity of Jesus anywhere. They looked. They went back to Jerusalem and found him. He says, we've been seeking you sorrowfully. He says, why are you seeking? Something like that. Don't you know I must be about my father's business? Well, there are many things. that we have to do in life, right? And why are we to do them? We're to do them for the glory of God. Seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness. So now we have a time to set aside and God calls us into the chambers, shut the doors. Shut the door of your mind to the world, things in the world. That ain't easy because you're going to fight a battle. You're up against the flesh, the world, and the devil. But you can do it, because you have a mighty sword. You have the Holy Spirit. Come in there, brethren, and cast that down, and shut the door, and build that wall between you and the world. Elijah, we remember here recently, Brother Gene brought a message about Elijah. Jezebel's gonna kill him, and he fled for his life. Before that, he was powerful, he was strong, right? So he fled for his life. And then he requested God to take his life. But God had other plans for him. So he set him aside. Think about that. He set him aside. He put him in one sense into a chamber in the wilderness away from everything. Come apart in a mountain place and sit at Jesus' feet and listen to what he's got to say. And Jesus was said, You get this call, hey, come help me with this. And he said, my soul, my friend, my friend, you've trembled about many things, but the church has sought the best. So God says, come in, seek at my feet, listen to my word, listen to what I gotta say with your heart and your new spirit. The door is shut. Everything becomes strangely dim. You're focused on Christ, His glory and His honor. I think if we see the glory, all this will fade away. And you prepare yourself. Oh, you're stressed out of measure. Oh, everything's coming against you, right? And you're not in the chamber with shutting the doors at the same time. You're looking at all that and, oh, what am I going to do? But if I look to Jesus, things come strange in it. So there's a time to sit down with not just the Bible, thank God for the Bible, but the Holy Spirit is sitting there. You're sitting there with the Holy Spirit and you're listening to the wonderful words of Christ, not just words, but food. You're hungering and thirsting after righteousness. And suddenly, the stresses of that world become strangely dim. I'll tell you what I find, I'll be thinking about this, think that, and God will sit down sometimes and do those devotionals, they're more than devotionals to me, they become a living word. What happened to those things? They disappeared, now they're gonna try to come back. Jesus was tested and tried, allowed the devil to test him, but he couldn't get him. And he went away for a season, but I'm sure he'd come back again. through those Pharisees and everything else, trying to frustrate Him, aggravate Him. But Jesus overcame it because His focus was on God's glory. God's glory and honor, far above this heavens and earth, and it became strangely dim. And He was there to be your perfect sacrifice and accepted with God. By His stripes, we're going to be healed. So listen. We're reminded of something. Although I said those things I just said, and you know them, what happens? You try to keep them in memory, but one thing comes along, this comes along. So you need to come back refreshing. That's why it's important to have the preaching of the gospel. That's why it is. God calls you into a chamber to sit down, and the gifts of the callings are without repentance. And those brothers come to you in love, knowing that they've gone through the same trials, whatever's unique to them, they've gone through those trials and testings that God put them through. The determinate accounts and foreknowledge of God. The world will come against you with wicked hands, trying to disturb you. The devil's gonna do everything. But you know what? It's a test from God. It's a test from God. Can you overcome them? Can you enter your chambers and shut your door? Let's try to do that this morning if we can. I hope that it will be from the Lord. It better be, or I say, well, let's fold this up and go home. Or I'm at home. Shut it up and don't turn it on. I started doing this a while ago, recording this, and everything went south on me. I had to stop. I had to start again. and I realized I left something out that needed to be said. So now we're starting again. I said what was on my heart. But let's read on. In 2 Peter 1.12, Peter said something to them about remembrance. Therefore I will not be negligent to put you always in remembrance of these things. Listen, though you know and be established in the present truth. Brother, if you're born again, you're established in the present truth. But, you have to be washed and cleansed. You have to grow in grace, right? And 2 Peter 1.13, yea, I thank it be, as long as I am in this tabernacle to stir, to stir you up and put you in remembrance. And he's shortly gonna put off this So that after his departure, they'll have these things in remembrance. I want to ask you a question. If Peter's gone, he's putting them in remembrance right here. If he's gone, how are they going to remember it? The Holy Ghost, the Holy Spirit will bring all things to your remembrance. But you'll have them in memory. The Spirit of God will keep them in remembrance. And so he eventually put off his tabernacle and he went on to eternity. But they had the Word of God living and bodily. It was written in the heart, Hebrews. In Hebrews 10, it talks about this is the covenant I will make with them after those days. The Holy Ghost is a witness to it. He's going to write them in your minds and in your hearts. And so you've got a great Savior who's giving you great benefits. in him to be. Christ took care of everything. He gave you all things pertaining to life and godliness. We read that in the scriptures. I didn't write that down. I don't remember exactly where it's at, but most of you brothers probably know. So look it up. He said he's done all things. So start adding to, adding to your faith this and so on and so on and so on. So the ministering of Christ will come more abundantly to you, and you'll grow. And Paul and Peter got it, the men prophesied, wait a minute, we have also a more sure word of prophecy, where unto you do take, you take heed, okay? We gotta take heed of this, what Peter said, as unto a light shining in a dark place. until the day dawn and the day star arises in your heart, knowing this, that no prophecy of the scriptures is of any private interpretation." I can't have a private interpretation of these scriptures. I can get fun-fuzzled reading it in my natural mind, but when the Holy Spirit comes along it gets very clear. Thank you, Lord. And God says, quit leaning to your own understanding, son. Learn. Learn maturity. Learn my ways. Lean not to your own understanding. Start exercising that. And the Holy Spirit will give you the red flags of conviction. You lean into your own understanding again. Quit it. Now, here's the way it really goes, son. Before the prophecy came about in old times, by the will of man, but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost. Therefore, remember that... He wants you to remember this. We're gonna remember something else here. Therefore, remember that ye being in times... Wow, listen to that word remember right there. That ye being in times past Gentiles in the flesh who are called uncircumcision by that which is called the circumcision in the flesh made by hands. that at that time, that time, there was a time past, at that time, at that time you were without Christ. Oh, there's a time we were without Christ. We need to remember that. Being alienated from the commonwealths of Israel and strangers from the covenant of promise, having no hope and without God in the world. Remember that. Remember that. that you will glory only in God, and you cannot reglory in the fact that I understand the Scriptures, I can listen to preaching. No, you need to listen to the Lamb as it's being preached. You're without God in the world. And a revelation now, after that, that time's passed, but let's listen now, after God had mercy on you, and saved you, Let's see what he says. We're in a world without God, right? We're just ready. And now, what can you do? What are you supposed to do? What will you be doing? You're singing a new song, saying, Thou art worthy to take the book, to open the seals thereof, for Thou hast slain and has redeemed us unto God by the blood by thy blood out of every kindred, tongue, people, and nation." Now listen, I'll go back to Ephesians 2.6, I think it'll insert good here. And has raised us up together and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus. And so that Christ Jesus teaching us, helping us to be one with Him and the Father and the will of God. Totally brought to a strength, brethren, that you cannot produce in your human nature. We're not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, saith the Lord. That which we have, 1 John 1,3, that which we have seen and and her declaring to you that ye also have fellowship with us. You have fellowship with Peter. We just read it at. Peter said, remember this. So you're having fellowship with him, even though he's gone. He's a brother in Christ. He was a brother in Christ. He knew Christ. He walked with him. And truly, our fellowship is with the Father and with the Son, Jesus Christ. And these things we write unto you, that your joy may be full." Now he was saying it back there. Guess what, brother? You ain't Christ today. This was written that your joy may be full. Whoever you are, pastors, ministers, me doing these devotionals, brothers in hospital, sick, they got sickness, but their joy is full in this matter. and has made us into our God's kings and priests, and we shall reign on the earth." Now, brother, I know you say you're pulling those things out of context. I'm looking at the principle. Yes, keep them into context. Go back and read them into context. But there are principles in this that jump out in this that you can, and all of it goes together. And listen, listen to this in Proverbs 2.1, And I believe it was talking to Christ Jesus at that time, but he's also talking to his adopted sons, men and women, whoever's in the faith, Jews, Gentiles, men, women, whoever's in faith. This is all for you, that your joy may be full and that you be one with God, the father and the son. My son, if you receive my words and hide my commandments with thee, so that they incline thy ear unto wisdom. Boy, do you need wisdom? I do. And apply your heart to understanding. Yea, if thou cryest after knowledge, lift up that voice for understanding. Brother, cry out this morning as you're listening. Cry out for wisdom. Cry out for help. Lord, help me. I want to love you. I want to honor you. I want to glorify you. I can't do this, somebody. And Paul said, you either would do or do not. But at least you have those hopes. You know what I'm saying? You have that hope even in this earthen vessel as God speaks to your heart. So don't give up. Don't give up. Don't give up on me. I haven't failed you. Look at the cross. Look what it cost me. I haven't failed you. Cry after the Lord. Lift up thy voice for understanding. If thou seeketh for his silver and search for his hidden treasure, you're in a situation. It's hid from you. You don't know what to do. The question is, God, what have you designed me to do in this? What do you want? It's hidden from me. And God said, listen, the Holy Ghost said, listen, when he wrote these scriptures and they all scriptures for you, brother, and if you're in Christ, as God opens it up, of course, you're not going to remember this all the time, but in time when it's needed and you're hungry, God says, you're hungry, you shall be fed. Then shall I understand the fear of the Lord and find the knowledge of God. So we need the fear of the Lord. For the Lord giveth wisdom out of his holy mouth, and character comes understanding, knowledge and understanding. He lifteth up sound wisdom for the righteous are the justified ones, ones bought with a price. He is a buckle of them that walketh upright, seek to walk in the Spirit, and led by Christ. He keepeth the paths of judgment, and preserveth the way of the saints. Listen, this goes back in God's corner. You in that chamber? God says, I got it. He keepeth the paths of judgment, and preserveth the way of sin. Then shall I understand righteousness, judgment, equity, and listen. What am I going to do about this? What am I going to do about that? Well, I tell you what, God told us, maybe I repeated it several times for my own brain to hear it, for my own heart. Are we wanting that for the glory of God? Yeah, equity in every good path. When wisdom entered the heart, knowledge spread in the soul, discretion shall preserve thee, understanding shall keep thee, what? to deliver thee from the way of evil. All the evil men are evil ways. And, but he was talking about some who left the paths of righteousness to walk in darkness. And number three, Proverbs 3. My son, forget not my law. What did he say in Hebrew that he was going to write that law? Ain't that good? I've thought about that. He said, I'm going to write it in their hearts, in their minds, in their hearts. Let thy heart keep my commandments for a length of days, long life, and whatever you're going through. It shall bring peace, they shall add to thee. Peace, they shall add to thee. Let not mercy and truth forsake thee, bind them about thy neck, write them upon the tables of thy heart, so shalt thou find favor and good understanding in the sight of God and man. Trust in the Lord with all thy heart, lean not to thine own understanding, in all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy path." And the devil told Eve, as God said, as God said. God said, told me, I could eat every tree of the garden, but this, and what God knows in the day you eat there, listen, flee that. He didn't flee it. And we all look where we at today, outside of Christ, if we're not in Christ, dead and trespasses and sins. So it says, be not wise in it. He should not been wise in our own eyes, but it was to determine the counsel of God. Although he didn't tempt her to sin, Fear the Lord and depart from evil. If she'd have feared the Lord, then we wouldn't have known Christ, would we? So when I look at this world, and I see all the stuff's going on. You turn on your TV and you see all kind of stuff. I don't even like to repeat it. All kind of things. Everybody's fulfilling the desires of the flesh and mind, and by nature they're a child of wrath. And judgments popping up everywhere. Things are coming on this earth. War is here, war is there, but don't look at that. Look at Christ. Now, you're going to be concerned. That's understanding. You don't like unrighteousness if you're a Christ because you've got the Spirit of Christ in you. It's grievous. But God said, listen to me. I'm going to tell you how to handle that. He's got 66 books, and the Holy Spirit can bring to your remembrance what you need to remember. And not only that, write it in your heart, put it together with that that's written in your heart, and here's what it'll say. And this is what I want you to say in mind. I want you to stop your dead about worrying and fretting what's going on, and submit it to Him. God said, I want you to know this, fret not thouself because of evildoers. neither be envious against the workers of iniquity. Why? For they shall soon be cut down, like the grass that withers in the green herb. Trust in the Lord and do good, so shall thou dwell in the land, and verily thou shalt be fed. Delight thyself also in the Lord, and he shall give thee the desires of the heart. Commit thy ways to the Lord. Trust also in him, and he shall bring it to pass. This is a steadfast promise in Christ. Ask God to make this a steadfast promise. When you're looking at all this stuff going on in your humanity, you've got to control that humanity by the Spirit of God and think like God. You've got to be of one mind and one heart with Christ as you look at these things. Oneness. And if you're in that, it'll be well. You'll find peace. Commit thy ways to the Lord. Also trust in Him. He shall bring it to pass. And He shall bring forth a righteousness and a light. See what I'm saying? Well, what happened to me with that? And that judgment is a new night. So in all these situations, this is what I need. I need that to be a new light. That light to light up. And all the world becomes strangely dim. And I go ahead and do what God wanted me to do. If I'm working a job, do it heartily to the Lord and not to men. If I'm eating and drinking, do it hardly unto the Lord and not unto men." Argument is stopped. Somebody wants to give you a hard time, how do I deal with that? Okay, rest in the Lord and wait patiently for Him. We're going to find out what I deal with, and God help me. Threaten not thyself. I need this on the highway, by the way. Threaten not thyself because of him who profiteth in his ways, because of the man who bring wicked devices to pass. Well, I think we ought to march on the Capitol, and we ought to do this, and we ought to do that. Did God tell you to do that? Did God say, go do those things? Let's see what He said to do. Christ did not come to destroy men's life, but save them. If He is giving you eternal life, If he is eternal life, and to as many as a father, he come to save them. He said, cease from anger, forsake wrath, fret not thyself in any wise to do evil. Well, I'm going down there and I'm going to march on the couch and I'm going to get me a sign and walk out front and we'll protest. And if the police come, I'm going to give them a hard time. Oh yeah, you just go ahead and do that. For evil doers shall be cut off, but those that wait upon the Lord shall inherit the earth. Now I've often wondered about that. The earth's going to pass away. But I think you'll have peace here with God, and you'll know how to handle every situation. You'll be wise as serpents and harmless as dove. Yet a little while, and the wicked shall not be. Yea, thou shalt diligently consider his place. For it shall not be, but the meek shall inherit the earth, and shall like themselves in abundance of peace. Brothers, Do you want abundance of peace? Do I want abundance of peace? Now, I can say this all I want, but you're still going to have these things come at you. I guarantee you, you're still going to have them come at you. You know, there was a time I had to aggravate and I was really aggravated. And that thing coming, when I was complaining about it, I was talking to the Lord about it. And I said, and next time I come around, that didn't even faze me. The same thing happened again. So sometimes you may have to go through tests again and again and again, but eventually through correction and chasing and instruction, God gets you to a place of peace. And you do good to your enemies. You pray for them. I can't put anybody in government. We vote, I know. But God has at last say so. So there are people fussing about this president in there, this governor in there. Watch your hands on that. God is ruler over this world. Over Jesus Christ is a ruler. All power has been given Him in heaven and earth. Go ye therefore. So brethren, you have a great Savior. You have many wonderful promises. And as you're in Christ, this teaching is for the Lord's people. If anybody else wants to join in and help them convict, fine. Thank God for that. But, listen. I'm going to read Chronicles 29 and I'm going to start at verse 11. Thine, O Lord, is the greatness. the power, and the glory, and the victory," hear that? We just read, was our victory, and the majesty, for all that is in heaven and earth is thine. Thine is the kingdom, O Lord, thou exaltest head above all. There's only one God, one Jesus Christ, and one Holy Spirit. They're all the same person in their spirit. Both riches and honor come with thee, and thou reignest over all, and in thy hand is power and might, and in thy hand is to make great, and to give strength unto all." Listen, Pharaoh was placed in there. Old Joseph went under Pharaoh, and he was under that authority. But then another Pharaoh came in right later, and he was cruel. But God eventually brought His people out of that. He told them, be still and know that I'm God. I'll be exalted in the earth. So He was exalted in those. He brought those, His long-suffering. He said Pharaoh was raised up to show His long-suffering. Can you imagine? God had to put up with a lot. He's holy. He's righteous. He's pure in all His ways. His Son too. His son was treated, Jesus was treated so cruelly by every one of us. Go look at the cross. Well I wasn't there then. Oh yes you was, cause he died on that tree for you. You were there. Your sins he took upon him. He was treated cruelly and badly. He didn't open his mouth. He said let this mind be in you. He didn't make himself with no reputation. So I am to cease from wrath. I'm not to make myself of any reputation. I'm submit to him that judges righteously. And if it calls for something, vengeance, God said, I'll repay it. I'll repay. Well, let's pray that God would save him, friend. Don't call fire down on people. You have an opportunity. If God gives you a spirit of prayer, of course, it has to be by Holy Spirit making intercession. but don't quench it. Pray for them. Now, therefore, our God, we thank thee and praise thy glorious name. But who am I? And what is my people that we should be able to offer so willingly after this sort? For all things come of thee, and of thy own have we given thee. For we are strangers before thee, our journey and thee. as well as our fathers our days on the earth as a shatter and there's none abiding oh lord our god all this store we have prepared to build a house is of that holy name come up of thee come up of thy hand and all all is all thine it belongs to him is what i'm trying to say forgive me if i'm stumbling through here See? I'm a nurse from Vestal. I got failures. I need God every minute and every second. I'm saying, Lord, I'm going to make a mess out of this if you don't help me. It ain't about me. It ain't about a mess of me. It's about God can take a crooked stick like me or any of the men. I wouldn't consider myself to be a pastor. But God says, God's going to get all the glory. And I'm going to read you something else. And then we'll try to close out. Revelation 5, if you've read that, you're probably familiar with it. And there was somebody, the creator of all the universe. And I saw in the right hand of him that sat upon the throne a book written within on the back side, sealed with seven seals. We can open it. I saw a strong ain't you try to open up Providence you try to look around you and you try to open up the biblical history You can't do it Does somebody just got those seals have to open it up, brother? You're gonna understand each group Someone's got this has opened these seals listen, I Saw a strong angel claim with a loud voice who is? worthy to open the book and to loose the seals thereon. Do you know of anybody? That's what the Holy Spirit says. The Holy Spirit, the witness by the way, give it to the writers right now, excuse me. And no man in heaven, nor in earth, neither under earth, was able to open the book, neither to look thereon. And what'd John do? And I wept much, because no man was found worthy to open and read the book, neither to look thereon. What do I do? How do I handle these situations? Help, have mercy on me, I don't know what to do. And then what one of the elders said unto him, weep not. Praise God. Behold, the lion of the tribe of Judah, the fruit of David, has prevailed to open the book and loose the seals thereof. Amen. Rest, brother. You ain't got to worry about all this stuff. The seals are in his hand. Your times is in hand. All things are yours, church. You're one with him. And if you can get, if that Spirit of Christ in you rests and overcomes your humanity, you have pain, you have sorrow, you have, you have situations, but you can have a peace that passeth all understanding in the midst of this. The root of David has prevailed to open the book. I want to read that again. The root of David has prevailed to open the book, and to loose the seals thereof. And I beheld, and lo, in the midst of the throne, and of the four beasts, and in the midst of the elders, stood a lamb, as it had been slain, having seven horns, seven eyes, which are the seven spirits of God, sent forth in all the earth. And he came, he came, not me, not you, not anybody. He came and took the book out of the right hand of him that sat upon that throne. All authority, all power is now given to him. God's people, they certainly don't want to go to hell, and they don't want to be immoral, but it's more involved. If He was the only one worthy, then that's the reason why we want to know where to go, what to do, how to do it, how hungry is to just, I want this to be mine, is to honor Him, because He's the one that gets the glory and the honor. But he's not stuck up. He's going to share with you that love. God says, I love them that love my son. And your care is not to grieve his spirit. It should hurt me when people talk about Christ so badly and they deny him. But God said, weep not. Weep not. It's OK. They persecuted me. So that tells me something about Him. He was perfect light, perfect righteousness, well-pleasing to the Father. There was no sin in Him whatsoever. But He had humanity. He could be grieved in that humanity. He could hunger. God gave Him a name which is above every name. And He came and took the book out of the right hand of Him that sat upon the throne. God the Father said, This is My beloved Son in Whom I am well-pleased. Here's the book, Son. And when he had taken the book, the four beasts, the living creatures, the life of Christ, and the soul of man, the four and twelve elders fell down before the Lamb, having every one of them hearts of golden vials full of odors, which are the prayers of the saint. And what did they do? What are we supposed to do? If we're in this, here if we're in this if i'm in if i'm quick in this here's what i'm supposed to be doing i'm supposed to sing a new song and i'm supposed to not just say it i'm supposed to live for his glory and oneness with him show forth his worthiness that he has made me worthy in the lamb only he took the buck and opened the seals therefore the slate and has redeemed us by to god by that blood of every kindred, tongue, people, and nation. And were they worried about what was going on in the world? You ever notice that? They weren't worried. What were they doing? They were worshiping and praising God, even though they were in the world, and they were living, and they were going about, and things weren't working good, but they went on. And this was the epistles written in their heart. This is the epistles written like a flashing sign when God manifested it. He said, the Lord, you're worthy to take to open the seals there where you were slain and how you have redeemed us. That's what the Christian life, not with the mouth, but with the life and the mouth. By the blood out of every kindred tongue, people and nation, and has made us unto our gods, kings and priests, and we shall reign on the air. Now, you're not going to want to be a governor or something like that, you could be. But he's not talking about that kind of reigning. He's talking about living for the glory of God, expressing the kingdom of God, and dealing with every situation as the Holy Spirit helps you to deal with those situations, having every thought brought into the obedience of Christ. And I helped and heard the voice of many angels round about the throne and the four beasts Elders and the number of them were 10,000 times 10,000 thousand saying with a loud voice What did your life say? They were saying with loud voice and you can say it with a loud voice But the voice was an expression of the life of God and the soul of man, isn't it? Isn't that right? The life was a soul and that's what it's expressing. Do I express that if it's seen in me? I understand. Oh wretched man. I am And you're going to have both, but you should have this. This should be along with that. Loud voice, worthy as a lamb that was slain to receive, what, power? riches wisdom strength honor glory and blessing and listen to what the creatures are saying and every creature which is in heaven and on the earth and under the earth as such it was in the sea and all therein here it's saying blessing and honor and glory and power be unto him that set upon the throne all authority is being given therefore go in there and unto the Lamb forever. And the four beasts said, Amen. And the four and twelve elders fell down and worshiped him that liveth forever and ever. Amen. Well, I stuttered through a lot of that, but the Holy Spirit doesn't stutter, does he, brother? Brother, you're not going to be without trials. You're not going to be without temptations. Paul says, when I'm weak and I'm strong, he was pressed out of measure. But what I was saying in order, that's how I hope that we read Christ in us and being one with him and I can overcome all things. And I can give a soft answer. Oh, wretched man, I am. Who's going to deliver me from this body of death? I thank God through Jesus Christ. But he said, there's therefore, because of that, we just read, no condemnations in which in Christ Jesus, you're not walking after that flesh, even though you see it. The spirit of life in Christ Jesus, in Christ Jesus, the spirit of life in Christ Jesus has made me free from the law of sin and death. Who walk not after the flesh, but after the spirit. Thank you for the opportunity. These things have been on my heart for well over a week, and I certainly didn't know how to put it together, but I pray God will put it together for you, and thank you very much. Please pray for Brother Gene. I don't know whether he'll have anything. We got snow on the ground here, and the roads may be too rough to get out, but pray for us, brother, and thank you very much.
