Creation's Purpose in Christ
Series Creation in Christ's Hands
The Creation accounts, together with The Fall in Genesis 1-3, written by Moses, are the story of God, his work of creation, and his purpose for humanity, written for his redeemed people. Paul tells us in Romans 1 that creation itself displays God's nature and power - but this is not adequate for a saving knowledge of God, nor does it reveal his purpose for creation. Only the gospel of Christ offers such saving knowledge and purpose. As God's redeemed people today, we can read the Creation and Fall accounts and look at creation, albeit groaning in travail, and know that our Creator and Redeemer has not forsaken his creation, but is bringing all things together, to glory, for his glory.
