Are there gaps in the Genesis
genealogies? This is Ken Ham, an Aussie transplant
with a passion for God's Word. Many people say that we can't
know how old the Earth is from the Bible. They claim God's Word
just doesn't give us that information. But they say science gives us
the answer. Now, the Bible doesn't give us
an exact age for the universe. But the Bible does give us genealogies
in the Old Testament we can use to find that age. Now, some people
say that the genealogies from Adam to Abraham contain gaps,
so we can't use them to help date the earth. But the Hebrew
word used for begat never skips a generation anywhere else in
the Old Testament. Why would it skip here? We can
trust these genealogies to give us an accurate age for the universe,
and it's about 6,000 years. Want to know more about the age
of the universe? You'll discover so much more
