I love this fellow right here. Only eternity will tell what he means to my heart and my soul. He's been like my second dad. Come on up here, Brunson. He is my buddy, my friend, and my best friend. Brother Allen. put confidence in me when I was just a young preacher start. And let me preach for him and let me come and do camps for him. And he said, you're learning. You've got a lot to learn. And he wasn't rude about it. He just patiently taught me, helped me. And I mean it. It's an honor, Brother Allen, to have you in our pulpit this morning. And we love Brother Allen, and I know you do too. And you pray for him this morning as God gives him liberty to preach. Well, to God be the glory. He's my Savior. He's my... Hello. I'm red. They do that so you can get past your nervousness. They get your mind off of it. Hello. Or as Brother LaVon would say, hello. He's my Savior. He's my friend. He's my King. And He's my Lord. I'm honored to be here. But Jason said all them fancy words. Recent years, he's probably surpassed me in a lot of ways as far as knowledge, because I'm like Brother Doyle. I didn't make it to the 12th grade, but by the skin of my teeth. Now don't tell my grandbabies that. Let's get into it. I'm excited about preaching what I'm going to preach. I believe if we get in the will of God, We'll see more of this. 1 Thessalonians chapter 4 verse number 16. Have you ever just had a song on your heart? How firm a foundation ye saints of the Lord. He is laid for your faith in His excellent Word. What more can He say than to you He has said? To you who for refuge to Jesus have fled. Father, as we bow before You this morning, Lord, we thank you for this blessed opportunity to be at this place at this time. God, to hear your precious word. God, we thank you for what we've already heard this morning. God, I thank you that if there's one thing I know, It was as an 18-year-old boy, you came by my way, convicted me of my sin, took me by Calvary and showed me the price that was paid for that sin. Lord, you offered me the opportunity to trust you as Lord. I've never got over it. I thank you for the day and hour that you saved my soul. Now, Lord, as we preach today, God, as we look at everything going on in the world, Lord, we do believe that your coming is close. God, I pray that as we examine all that's going on, elections are coming up and everybody said we need to vote for this one, we need to vote for that one. God, I vote for you. God, I pray that when we get through this morning, we'll leave here and when we go out, those doors will no longer be closed-lipped. So God, I ask You to use us. Lord, if there happens to be one I know, it's a Monday morning at camp meeting. God, only You and You alone know the hearts of the people sitting in this place. If there's one lost, God, I beg You to save them today. God, if there are those that seems like they've just quit, said there's no use to go on, I pray today they'll be revived. Use us today. God, we're nothing. Brother Doyle put it so plain. God, in my flesh dwelleth no good thing. Lord, it's never bothered me to embarrass myself, but God, I sure wouldn't want to embarrass You. So God, in all You've got our thoughts and got our tongue, that You might be glorified and honored, and we'll thank You for it. In Jesus' name I pray. Amen. The Bible said, For the Lord Himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel and with the trump of God, and the dead in Christ shall rise first. I want to preach on this subject this morning. The Lord must like shouting. Now, Baptist folks don't like it too much anymore. Amen? Now, I'm not very smart, but I looked up in different commentaries and in Webster's Dictionary and kind of got my wife to surf that internet thing for me. And I come to this conclusion, shout means to cry aloud. Shout means to sound over. Now, the one that impressed me the most, it means to have an expression of strong emotion. Now, I'm hearing a lot of shouting. Amen? I'm hearing a lot of shouting from the minorities. And what I mean by that is there's crowds of people bombarding Congress and getting laws changed that God's always been against. How can they do that? Because they're crying aloud. It's because they're emotional about it. Something's wrong. It don't seem like in the churches that we're very emotional about Jesus anymore. But, brother Alan, we're not saved by our emotions. I know we're not. We're saved by grace through faith. But I don't know about you, but I'm very emotional even every time I pick up the Word of God and He speaks to me, shows me where He brought me from and where He's taken me to. I get very emotional about it. but it seems like it's good to be, I like camp meeting, you hear a few shouts. I don't want to put you on the spot, but what do you do when you get home? You say, well, my pastor don't preach like them at the camp meeting. Well, if you'd shout a little bit, he might. Amen. Everybody shouts at something. I don't remember who said this at Brother Lonnie's, but I stole it. I'm just going to tell you, every preacher in there is a thief. Everybody shouts. Husbands shout at their wives. Wives shout at their husbands. Parents shout at their kids. Now, you didn't do this in my generation coming up, but now kids shout at their parents. They shout at their pets, they shout at the politicians. Everybody shouts about something. But I want to try to show you today that God likes shouting. But we need to be shouting for the right thing. Amen. You say, well, I ain't got nothing to shout about. Well, if you saved, you do. I got something to shout about. Amen. Now, the Bible says this. heaven and earth shouts. Isaiah 44, 23, Sing, O ye heavens, for the Lord hath done it. Shout, ye lower parts of the earth. Break forth into singing, ye mountains, O forest, and every tree therein, for the Lord hath redeemed Jacob and glorified himself in Israel. Oh, Brother Allen, the heavens and the earth don't shout. Hey, every once in a while look at the lightning flashing and the thunder rolling and the trees clapping praise unto God. Oh yeah, they're shouting. The Bible tells us in Psalm chapter 511 that you and me are supposed to be shouting. Amen? I don't believe in that shouting stuff. Well, maybe you need to do like Brother Bordeaux was trying to tell us. Maybe we need to read a little more and find out what God says about it. Psalm 511, But let all those that put their trust in thee rejoice. I like this. Let them ever shout for joy because thou defendest them. Let them also that love thy name be joyful in thee. I'm wondering, Brother Jason, where is the shout among God's people? Where is the joy among God's people? The Lord likes shouting. He didn't say my angels are coming with a shout the Bible said for the Lord himself Will descend from heaven with a shot? Now the Old Testament's full of shouting I'm glad my son ain't here. He'd said daddy. That was one of them long introductions. I The Old Testament is full of shouting. Amen? I mean, they're shouting when they're worshiping God and they're praising God. They're shouting going into one battle. They're shouting coming out of the battle. I mean, they're shouting everywhere you go. And the Lord laid it on my mind to just share a couple and I'll rush through them because I love these so much. I'm reminded of Gideon. and how the Lord hand-picked him. Now listen to me, Gideon, I believe Gideon done it right. You need to know what you're shouting about is what I'm driving at this morning. A lot of people don't know what they're shouting about. You'll hear a lot of shouting. You can get up there and say, boy, my dog runs faster than your dog. Hey man, that ain't shouting. But I'm telling you, when you go by the cross of Calvary and you see Jesus hanging on a tree for all of mankind, it's time to stand up and shout! Amen. Gideon went into that thing humble. He basically told the Lord, Lord, why in the world would you choose somebody like me? And he didn't go into it half cocked either. He laid a fleece out. But hey, but then when he realized, this is what? Found that will of God. He said, I'm going through with this. And he gathered up 32,000 men ready to go to battle. But God said, wait a minute, Gideon. We've got to send a few home. And when he got rid of the cowards and the haphazard, he wound up with 300 men. Divided them into three companies. And then he gathered around. Give them a clay pot, a lantern, and you know what he did? When you hear the signal, you break that lantern, you let that light shine, and you shout. And they defeated the Midianite army, whose number was as the sands of the sea. And they done it with a light and a shout. Amen. Have you ever wondered why we're losing so much ground in these days? Because you don't see the light. Matter of fact, I know we're going out, but you hear me. My son-in-law's in the sheetrock business. He said, why are so many people painting their ceilings black? And they're putting these mauve, ladies, you all know what he's talking about, mauve colors and dim colors in the bathroom. And he said, I finally just wondered, and I asked one of them, he said, we gotta set the mood. I can remember when singing and praising and shouting set the mood. Hey, I can remember my old daddy and the Lord. Hey, he didn't do like us. He was in a better time, brother. Guys, he didn't even have to take notes. He was so full of God when he got to the pulpit. He was preaching before he ever got there. He'd sit there on that queue and I'd get to sing in Rock of Ages. Clef for me! Oh, what a friend we have in Jesus! And them sisters and brothers, I'd go to shouting. And boy, he'd be sitting there saying, boy, old sis got a hold of it today. And record that, say, brother Leslie, it's yours. He'd start peeling off that coat, quoting his scriptures. And about 25 minutes later, he'd be putting it on, singing an old song. And folks shouting down the aisles. And folks getting saved. I don't want to see it no more. Some of y'all struggling with it right now. Amen. and won the battle. I've got to get this one in there. Old Joshua done met with the captain of the Lord's host. Done got his instructions. Now I'm just going to tell you, I left last night full of God. Because He showed me something else and I can't wait to go to digging on it and get it out of there. So if I get dropped down in one of these illustrations, Bible illustrations, then you'll just have to bear with me. But I can see Joshua saying, okay boys, we're going to take Jericho. And I can see them boys saying, but Joshua, that's a fortified city. Joshua, ain't no way we can break in there. He said, all I'm telling you is the captain of the Lord's host is on our side. And we're going to do it just like he said do it. Well, what do you want us to do? You just follow me. Trump, he said, priest, I want you here. Trumpeters, I want you here. And I want everybody in a line. And when I say march, we're going to get up and we're going to march around the wall. I can see them, Brother Jason, on that first day. They're marching. They're almost around that wall. And I can see them trumpeters maybe raise up and y'all say, not yet, let's go back to camp. I can see them, the enemy up on the walls ready to defeat them as they're marching around saying, if they make one wrong move, we're fixing to annihilate them. And I see them march back to the camp. Next day, same thing. Next day, same thing. Next day, same thing. I'm just thinking out in my mind and God's putting it this way. I can see about that fourth day, they're marching around. And the enemy says, well, they ain't going to do nothing. They're just a bunch of show-off crowd. They're just going to march around. Ain't no use us worrying. And on that fifth day, maybe the enemy's done even quit looking. Maybe they've got one lookout. I don't know. I'm just down in there. I can't help it. I'm seeing what might have been in my mind. You say, Brother Allen, that's an opinion. Well, it's just as good as yours. We're going to get to the end of this thing in a minute anyway. And I can see on that sixth day, They're marching around. By now the trumpeters got their trumpets hung over there. Look about like a bunch of us this day. We're so close to the Lord's coming. And we done hung our harps up. Done hung our weapons up. And done hung our trumpets up. And we just marching around. And I can see them on that sixth day going around, and they go back to the camp. But on that seventh day, they're going, maybe one cut line, starting back to the camp. Joshua says, not today. Wet your lip, boys, and blow your trumpet and begin to shout. And when they shouted, the Bible said the walls fell down flat. Oh, yeah. The Old Testament's full, full of shouting. There's a few nowadays said, well, that was Old Testament. Well, let's just ease into the new. Reckon what they was doing when he made that triumphal entry? There's a shouting. I mean, there's a shouting. Hey, what about when they said, why don't you make them disciples hush? Hey, we've let the Pharisees, the liberals, the charismatics, we've let them all say, why don't you make your disciples hush? And we've listened to them instead of listening to God. What do you mean? Why don't you make them be silent? Why don't you make... He said, I tell you, if these hold their peace, the rocks will cry out unto me. Yeah, but that's why the Lord was on the earth. Well, I might get to the message and I might not. What about Dependacost? Well, Brother Allen, they wasn't shouting that day. My God, they got so carried away they thought they was drunk. They was doing something. Hey, man, when's the last time they come in to where you go and walked out and said, Man, there's some strange people in there. Well, that was Pentecost. That's when the Spirit came. Well, just move on past it if you want to. We'll go a little bit further, and then we'll get into this message. Go over there where Peter and John, they're rejoicing over 3,000 getting saved. So they're going to go to the temple and pray a while, and they meet a lame man laid there, and he says, give me some silver and gold. Peter said, I don't have none, but such as I have, Give I unto thee, in the name of Jesus, rise up and walk. I'm telling you, he didn't get up and say... No, the Bible said he went into the temple leaping and rejoicing and praising God. They were shouting when this thing come in here. The Lord must like shouting. I grew up on shouting. All my ancestors, they come from Ada Valley, up there around Pettigene Mountain, and they swept into Louisiana shouting. I can still hear my mama shouting. You say, what's she sound like? If you've ever seen Amber shout, she sounds just like my mama. She said, Daddy, what are you doing? You just came here. I said, you just let her roll. Why? I like, I grew up on shouting. I like shouting words. Now listen, don't just be shouting. I don't like them folks that go, whoa! Son, that ain't the kind of shouting I'm talking about. Number one, I like shouting words. Like when Brother Doyle was preaching this morning and he nails the truth, that's a good time to shout. I like him shouting words. Don't just go, Amen. You ain't helping him a bit. Hallelujah! Glory to God! Thank you, Jesus! Hey, there's nothing wrong with good sound Bible shouting words. And it ain't out of order. But I also like them overwhelming shouts. You say, Brother Allen, are you Baptist? Yeah, I ain't ashamed of that. I ain't ashamed of that. But I'm not shouting because I'm a Baptist. I'm shouting because I'm born again. I'm shouting because I'm on my way to heaven. I'm shouting because I know my name's written in the Lamb's Book of Life. I'm shouting because I know that I know that I know all but that and you can't know. Paul said, I know in whom I've I'm entrusted and persuaded that He's able to keep that that I've committed unto Him against that day. He goes on. I'm persuaded neither death nor life, nor things present, nor things to come can separate me from the love of God. Hey, you hear me? You can know that you know. I like Him overwhelming. I hope I don't mess you up. When he saved me, he moved in. Paul said, be ye filled with the Spirit. Be not drunk with wine, but be ye filled with the Spirit. Now that ain't no one time thing. That's not even a two-time thing. I'm telling you, that can be a never-day thing for your life. And then we'll quit following so much of that flesh and we'll start, Hey, blessed is he that walketh not after the flesh, but after the Spirit. Hey, the problem is we run in and the Spirit moves on a few and we think we've been to church. Folks, you ain't been to church till He moves on you. I like them overwhelming shouts. We had one of them when Brother Mike was down at the youth camp this year. Didn't we, Brother Mike? I'm telling you, God moved. And it was in our little old session. Man, I was coming in for a close on that message. And boy, that sister got her a glimpse of heaven. Went to shouting. And in just a minute, we just backed up and all got caught in it. It's alright! When He shows up, we can get out of the way! The Lord must like shouting. I'll give you the rest of the introduction and we'll give you three quick things and we're gone. Maybe. Psalm 47.5 God is gone up with a shout. with the sound of a trumpet. Why stand you here gazing? This same Jesus, in like manner as you've seen Him go, will come again. He's gone up in a shout. But I'm interested in this shout of verse number 16. For the Lord Himself shall ascend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel and with the trump of God, and the dead in Christ shall rise first. I've been interested this morning for just a little while in that shout. Now I've already proved to you that He likes shouting. Would you agree with that? Hey, you may not agree with it, but you can't deny it. Hey, listen to me. I didn't just say just because I like shouting. It was good. I've showed you that the Lord likes shouting. He left here with a shout, and thank God I'm looking for the shout that one day He's coming down, I'm going up, and we're going home. The Lord must like shouting. Well, Adam, why are you interested in that shout? Because if that shout, there'll be a resurrection. You see, I believe folk have lost sight of the resurrection. I've never seen so much disrespect at funerals in all my life. Hurry up and get them in the ground, preacher. Let us go on about our life. Am I telling it right? Down home, there are those, some elderly people have died and they told the funeral home, just bury them the best way you can and send us a bill. God, I never would do one of my loved ones like that. Nor one of my friends. It's going to be a resurrecting. John 5, 28, 29, Marvel not. at this, for the hour is coming in which all that are in the grave shall hear His voice and shall come forth, they that have done good in the resurrection of life, and they that have done good under the resurrection of damnation." What are you saying, Brother Allen? Why are you so excited about the resurrection? That's where my hope's at. Hey, let me tell you something. It ain't enough you've been to Calvary. You better be going by that tomb and see that He's not there. Yeah, listen to me. He died for our sins, but thank God He rose for our justification. My hope's there. My help's there. My happiness is there. Hey, the older I get, the happier I get about that resurrection, didn't you? Amen. My resurrection has a guarantee on it. Amen? Verse number 15. I've got a guarantee from the Scripture. Paul didn't say, I'm just saying this to myself. For this we say unto you, by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive remain in the coming of the Lord, shall not prevent them which are asleep." The Scripture, the Scripture alone is a guarantee. How do you know that, Brother Allen? Now, I ain't going to go into no fight about the Bible, but I will tell you this, the one I hold, at the end of it says, add not to it and take not away for it. And in the middle of it, it says, wherever, O Lord, Thy Word is settled in heaven, I'll stand on this one. Why would you stand on that? That's the same one that was preached to me when I got saved. And it tells me there's going to be a resurrection. Like what Paul said in 1 Corinthians 15 when he is preaching When he's preaching that gospel, what kind of that preachable gospel? I see some get up so much today, I don't know where their gospel come from. And their favorite saying is this, all's you gotta do. There's more to it than all's you gotta do. Hey man, you can't do nothing until He first makes the move. Brother Doyle put it right. No man come unto the Father except my Father. No man come unto me except my Father in heaven. Draw him. Hey, I'm afraid a lot of people done got caught at something out there. And the preacher says, all you got to do is come down here. And they run down there and say, okay preacher, I've come. He said, well say this little old prayer and go on back and you'll make it to heaven. Now, man, that's a lie birthed out of hell. And hey, it's sad to say most of us Baptists are responsible for it. It takes the Word of God. A faith cometh by hearing, hearing by the Word of God. How can they hear without a preacher? And how can he preach except he be sent? For the Word of God is quick and powerful and sharper than any two-edged sword. And you hear me, it takes the Word of God. It takes the Spirit of God. And that's all in the Word of the grace of God. Wait a minute, Brother Allen. But when the Word of God... I'm getting on a whole other subject. The Word of God, through the Spirit of God, convicts us and draws us. And the goodness of God in that drawing leads us to repentance. And we're led through that repentance. And if we get through the repentance, There's where the choice comes in. Then, and only then can you call on the name of God. But if you've truly repented of your sin and placed all of your trust in Him, not just as one who died and was buried and rose again, but as the Lord of your life, you give it all to Him, they'll experience that birth. So the Scripture gives me the guarantee. that preachable gospel, that receivable gospel, the death, burial, and resurrection of our Savior. Paul said He was seen of the twelve. He was seen of above five hundred at once. And last of all, He was seen of me as one born out of due season. We have a guarantee of the Spirit, Romans 8, 11. But if... I like that word, if, right there. If the Spirit of Him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, He that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by His Spirit that dwelleth in you. Not only does the Word of God have part in our salvation, but the Word of God declares unto us a resurrection. Not only does the Spirit have work in our salvation, but it has work in our resurrection. Hey, listen to me. The Holy Ghost of God not only convicts, but has part in conversion. How do you know that, Brother Allen? Because it's that Spirit that quickened our soul when it was dead in trespasses and in sin and made us alive. But it's also, He said, if that same Spirit dwell in you, hey, at the resurrection, hey, that's the same Spirit that will quicken this mortal body and make it alive. I believe that's kind of what Brother Dole was talking about. We need to go ahead and kill this rascal. The more we kill of it, the more we'll have it alive. But I'll get to the rest of that in a minute. And not only that, He does so much that He'll have a part in raising our bodies. But I have the guarantee of the Savior. Revelation 1-5, one of my favorite past scriptures, and from Jesus Christ, who is the faithful witness. And the first begotten of the dead, and the Prince of the kings of the earth, unto Him that loved us and washed us from our sins in His own blood. We have the guarantee of our Savior. We have the promises of our Savior in the Word of God. I Peter 1.3, Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, which according to His abundant mercy hath begotten us again unto what? A lively hope. By what? The resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead. We'll give you this and then move to my second point. You don't think I'm looking forward to that shout? I ain't old as some of you. I ain't young as some of you either. But I've lived long enough, I'm sick to death of what's going on in the world. And I'm even sicker at my stomach at what's going on in a lot of our churches. What are you saying? I'm saying I'm getting tired. Are you going to quit? No, sir. I'll fight if I'm on my knees crawling when I go across. Well, what are you fighting for? I'm fighting for my children and my children's children. I'm fighting for my grandkids. I'm fighting for my great-grandkids that I may not even live to see. That if the Lord has not come yet, they've got a hope to look for. Puritan writers said, These words, and I wrote it verbatim, we are more sure to rise from the grave than to rise from our bed in the morning. Resurrection guarantee. But not only, not only at this shout are we going to have a resurrection, we're also going to have a reuniting. Amen? 16, we read, For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, with the trump of God, and the dead in Christ shall rise first. But watch verse 17. Then we which are alive and remain shall be called up together with them. There's not a one of us sitting in here at some time or another have not been separated. have not been to the graveyard and laid a loved one down, that many of us have stood by the bedside of those as we watched the soul departing from that body, leaving an old earthly house, and we grabbed ahold of the hope of the resurrection knowing that being absent from the body was to be present with the Lord. We watched that separation and we felt the sting as we sat there and we laid them in the grave and said we'll see you one day after a while knowing that while we're here we'll never see them again. Thank God for the reuniting. For you see, when He comes with that shout, there's going to be a reuniting. First there's going to be a reuniting of souls with those bodies. Now time ain't gonna allow me to really dig in deep there, but I promise you, your loved one, if they know the Lord Jesus Christ ain't laid out yonder in a grave. And I'm telling you right now, that body that you laid, some of them we watched being mangled, maybe through a wreck. Some we watched as I had to watch my dear mama who went all across the country singing the gospel music with me every Sunday. Brother Todd, you know I'm telling it right? Every Sunday, when she was able, was sitting on the church pew, even with her oxygen on. And she reached that point, she couldn't leave the house. But every Monday morning, you'd say, son, who wasn't at church? And all week long, none more witnessing than most done that come to church that Sunday. I watched her as she went from not being able to eat, not being able to drink, to swiveling up to nothing. Oh, I'm going to have me a spill. I'm about ready to shout now. But I can remember laying by my dear old mama at night. And oh, it seemed like every night them last two weeks, she'd go to talking to them in the glory world. And every once in a while, she'd say, God, why can't I just come now? Why can't I just come now? I'm telling you, even though she left that way and I'm going in it right now, I miss my mama. And I'm ready for the reunion. He's going to come. He's going to bring those souls. Reunite them with that body at the same... You see, we were... That's why Paul said, I do not have you, brethren, concerning them which are asleep, that you saw or not, even as others which have no hope. For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them which sleep in Christ in God will He bring with Him. I'm telling you, we're going to see a reuniting. But at the same time, we're going to see a change. I'm interested in that change. Because I can remember when I could have finished this message and I didn't have enough time to get it done that fast no more. 1 Corinthians 15, 51 and 52, Paul said, Behold, I show you a mystery. We shall not all sleep, but we shall be changed. In a moment, in the twinking of an eye, when at the last trump. For the trumpet shall sound, and the dead, listen to it, shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed. I believe I'll know mama. Don't run me that stuff about we ain't going to know nobody. Bible said we'll be known as we're known. Oh, I know we might. It may be different because our focus is going to be on the Lamb anyway. And it's going to be on our King. But oh yeah, I'll know mama. Amen? But when they come up, there's such a change in that mortal body. But better than that, how many out here's got high blood pressure? Sugar. Anything else? Anybody here perfect, ain't got nothing wrong with them? At that Trump, when they're standing up, being reunited, we're going to swap these out. There's going to be a change. What's it going to look like, Brother Allen? I don't have a clue. But I know it's going to look better than it ever has. Paul John said in 1 John chapter 3, the whole what manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon us that we should be called the sons of God. And it has not yet appeared what we shall be. But we know that when He shall appear, we shall be like Him. And we shall see Him as He is. Paul said again, Paul said again in 1 Corinthians 15, As we have borne the image of the earth, we shall also bear the image of the heavenly. I don't know what we are going to look like, but it will be perfect. And it will be pure. Well, you're getting too carried away. You all feel like shouting. Sown in corruption, be raised in incorruption. Sown in weakness, be raised in glory. Sown in dishonor, be raised in glory. Sown in weakness, raised in power. Sown in natural body, He'll be raised. That's when the fight with the flesh is going to go on. It's going to be a groundbreaking ceremony. An old water reuniting. Not only with souls and bodies, but with families and friends and greater still to see our Savior. I believe that's why most people don't have a shout anymore. They're too interested in the streets You go reading what them boys wrote about, they're talking about being with the Lord. All that other didn't matter. Y'all don't get nervous, I'm on the last point. Not only a resurrecting, not only a reuniting, but a rejoicing. 17 Together with them the clouds To meet the Lord in the air and listen to it and so Shall we ever be? Where we going We're going home He had them boys gathered out on the hillside and He said, Let not your heart be troubled. You believe in God, believe also in Me. In My Father's house are many mansions. If it were not so, I would have told you. I go prepare a place for you. And if I go prepare a place for you, I will come again to receive you unto Myself. I don't have time to talk about crowns. I'll have time to talk about jewels in the crown. They're in there. I don't even really have time this morning to talk about heaven itself. So I'll just mention to you, it's a country. There's a lot of folks preach about heaven, don't have a clue of even what the Bible says. They got us in a little cube, slung out in space somewhere. Got quiet. Abraham sought a country. And listen to me. It wasn't Canaan land over yonder. It was glory land up yonder. And it's got a golden four square city in it. That's the one Abraham was seeking too. Whose builder and maker was God. I don't have time to talk about those 12 gates, that high jasper wall, that street of pure gold. But I will mention this. There will be no tears. There will be no more sorrow, no more death, no more pain. There will be no more sin. Revelation 21, And there shall in no wise enter into it anything that defileth neither whatsoever worketh an abomination. or maketh a lie. Who's going to be there then? The day which are written in the Lamb's book of life. I wish I had time but I would never describe the beauty of the throne where our King sits. Wait a minute, I haven't found him yet. You're too late. Father, glorify me with the glory I had with Thee before the world was. He should have both glorified it and will glorify it again. Oh, there's going to be a celebration. We're going to all get in. But He's already King. He's the Prince of the Kings of the earth. He's King of Kings and Lord of Lords. He's not coming to lay down in no manger. When He comes back, He's coming back as King of Kings and Lord of Lords. The beauty, we're at home. What we're doing, we're shouting. You really believe that? Well, Revelation 19, 1, I don't believe would lie to us. And after these things I heard a great voice of much people, and I mean everybody. Hey, shout. Heaven sang, hallelujah, salvation and glory and honor and power unto the Lord our God. Yeah, the Lord likes shouting. coming in for a close. Saints, if the Lord likes you... I hope you do know, I'm not talking about just going out there and making money. I am not talking about that. Listen to the men of God. Or the singers or singers. a bucket over in your soul instead of quenching it and worrying about what you've got to do when you get out of service. Send our prayers to God in all His places and shout a big hearty amen. Shout a good hallelujah. Hey, if you... Well, Brother Allen, you just don't know, you just don't know how bad it is. I ain't got nothing to shout about. Well, you ought to get up here and get saved. Because if you're truly born again, friend, you've got something to shout about. Amen? What's so exciting about being saved? God, if I have to explain it, you'll never get it. Hey, look up here. I ain't going to hell because of my salvation. Hey, listen, I can do all things through Him that strengthens me and overcome this stinking world. I've got something to shout about. We've got someone to shout about. I long for the day when a service, even when God shows up in a big way, that it'll just last. And it'll last. Brother Jason at 12 o'clock, have you ever noticed in the day and time that we live in, that about half the congregation has to go to the bathroom right at invitation. Am I telling it right? I'd rather go on the last point, not wait till invitation. Amen? But them same people will set at a ball game and shout till it's over with. Can I remind you, we're in a fight. I believe we're in the last round. We're in a race, but I believe we can see the finish line. I'm going to use this and then I'll close. How many of y'all got little ones playing baseball? Anybody? Okay, got a few. The rest of them is out watching practice. But if you're sitting there, and you're in the bottom of the last inning, and the game is tied, and you're on pins and needles, and your boy or girl comes up to bat. Nobody's on base. It's two outs. You're thinking, oh God, it ain't no way we're going to win this thing. sound like a bunch of the church world don't it? and all of a sudden the picture winds up he ain't never hit it out of the infield but all of a sudden that boy of yours hits it all the outfields done come in cause I said he's a weak hitter it goes over the outfielder it rolls to the fence he's done you're standing on your feet going He rounds second base. They're just getting to the ball. They pick it up and they look and they got caught off guard and they drop the ball and your boy rounds third. I can see you saying, No, you won't see that at a ballgame. You'll come to church, you'll hear a preacher with tears down his eyes, run you by Calvary where Savior loved you and won the victory of life that you could not win, and we'll sit there. I believe that's why the Lord likes shouting. He wanted us to get emotional about it. I'm going to give you this just in case. Sinner, there's a difference in shouting and screaming. Paul said in 2 Thessalonians 1, 7-10, And to your trouble rest with us, when the Lord Jesus shall be revealed from heaven with His mighty angels in flaming fire, taking vengeance on them that know not God, and that obey not the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ, who shall be punished. with everlasting destruction from the presence of the Lord and from the glory of His power. There's a difference. Don't you sell into this thing that's being preached that hell is a place where just poof, you're gone. No, sir. It is a lake of fire. It's a bottomless pit. It's the blackness of darkness forever. It is torment forever and ever and ever. And you'll be screamed. But I'll promise you this, if you'll come this morning when they get a song ready, if God has dealt with your heart and you'll come in true repentance and trust Him as Lord and Savior of your life, there might be some shouting going on in here. But I can promise you on the Word of God there'll be shouting in heaven. Because the Bible says there'll be rejoicing over one sinner. that cometh to repentance. I hope I've helped us today, church. I wanted to preach something else. This morning we need to bring back our shout. Do you know why the decisions have been made over the last few years in our country? Because somebody was shouting louder than us. Amen? It's time we shout. We've got to get you. And I close here. The Lord's coming with a shout. If He were to shout and blow the trumpet today, would you all know where you're at? Let's stand. Father, thank You, Lord, for helping us today. Lord, give all the glory, give all the honor to Your Son. God, deal with hearts. Deal with this thought that I cannot do. Deal with every heart and every life. Help us, God, as Your children, to shout louder against the sin. Lord, shout loud about the salvation that You can bring. We'll thank You and praise You in Jesus' name. Amen.
The Lord Must Like Shouting
The scriptures are full of examples of Shouting. There will be shouting @ the Resurrection, There will be shouting @ the Reuniting of loved ones, and there will be shouting of rejoicing when we see Jesus.
