Psalm 128, 1 and 2 says, Blessed is everyone that feareth the Lord, that walketh in his ways. For thou shalt eat the labor of thine hands. Happy shalt thou be, and it shall be well with thee.
Any man worth his salt will work for his meals. If he takes a wife on, he'll work to provide for her. If they have children, he'll work to provide for his own flesh and blood, or for those he may adopt into his family. A real man of God will even take care of his parents and other loved ones when there's a need. No God-fearing, decent man would argue with me on that point.
A man doesn't expect to have things just handed to him, or drop out of the sky in his lap. No sane man expects someone to just buy him a house, or buy him a car, or pay his bills, or buy his groceries. If we want to have, then we must work. It's just that simple. That's the biblical principle in our text. For thou shalt eat the labor of thine hands. Happy shalt thou be, and it shall be well with thee.
But think of that principle and the fact that every election day, millions of spoiled, ungrateful, foolish, professing Christians will do just the opposite. They'll neglect the privilege and opportunity of voting and just expect God to give us leaders that we want in spite of their slothful, lazy, careless act of not voting.
as principles found throughout scripture. Ecclesiastes 10.18 says, By much slothfulness the building decayeth, and through idleness of the hands the house droppeth through. The country I live in is the United States of America, and it's living under a reprieve right now of a non-Marxist president, as of the time of this recording. But under the previous administration and the eight years of Marxist Barack Obama, We had to watch our nation falling into decay. The judicial branch was packed full of anti-American, unconstitutionalist judges. The White House was lit up with the sodomite flag collars. Hundreds of millions of tax dollars was spent to murder unborn children. Our military was packed full of reprobate drag queens and sodomites. Our foreign policy was decidedly anti-Israel and pro-Islam. On and on it could go. And I just expected that we were on a skid and going downward until the rapture or death took me and my Christian loved ones out of the mess.
But people voted. And we got an unsaved, very imperfect president who has been the best friend to Christians and to Israel that we've seen in my lifetime. Does God deserve the credit? Yes. But God works through his people. And I thank God for saving and moving so many souls to do right. People know they ought to vote for the best candidate. And James 4.17 says, therefore to him that knoweth to do good and doeth it not, to him it is sin. And all the ignoramuses out there saying, well, voting doesn't do any good. Or, both parties are the same. Or, I don't believe we should get involved in politics. Those people will be embarrassed on judgment day if they don't repent. We are supposed to just do right. We leave the results up to God, but do right.
Pray for the wicked to repent. And again, the principle of Ezekiel 33, 19 says, but if the wicked turn from his wickedness and do that which is lawful and right, he shall live thereby. One of the best things you can do in addition to voting is preach the gospel. The more people get saved and get right with God, the better things will be. And if we vote and do right, and then it still falls apart, so be it. But there won't be any blood on our hands. and we will have shown gratitude for what we've been blessed with in this country and actually show respect to our forefathers for what they left us. We've enjoyed great freedom. and a lot of prosperity, thanks to our forefathers. And when Jesus raptures us out of here, the wicked can have it, because God is going to let them have it. 2 Thessalonians 1.8 says, In flaming fire taking vengeance on them that know not God and that obey not the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ.
