We Are His People

As most of you know, God has told us that He is God not only to us when we are redeemed, but also to our children… while they are yet children. In Gen 17, God tells Abraham that He establishes His covenant with him and his sons. In Acts 2:38-39, Peter affirms in connection with baptism that the promise is: to you and your children. In Mark 10:13-16, Jesus affirms that the kingdom of God belongs to little children. So with baptism, whether of an adult or a child, we are reminded of our identity as those who are God's people in Christ.
