All right, in Revelation chapter 16. Revelation chapter 16, and we'll begin reading at verse 12. We'll go down to verse 16. And the sixth angel poured out his vial upon the great river Euphrates, and the water thereof was dried up, the way of the kings of the east might be prepared. I saw three unclean spirits like frogs come out of the mouth of the dragon, out of the mouth of the beast, out of the mouth of the false prophet. For they are the spirits of devil's working miracles which go forth to the kings of the earth and of the whole world to gather them to the battle of the great day of God almighty. Behold, I come as a thief. Blessed is he that watcheth and keepeth his garments, lest he walk naked and they see his shame. And he gathered them together into a place called in the Hebrew tongue, Armageddon. This morning I want to preach a message on the subject of the battle of Armageddon. As we continue our studies in eschatology, we want to see how that God is going to destroy the kingdom of Antichrist and how that the kingdom of our Lord will begin here in this world. In Revelation chapter 16 and verses 12 through 16 that we've just read, We find here a, we find Armageddon mentioned. Armageddon is from the Greek Armageddon or mountain of Megiddo. Megiddo is an ancient town about 60 miles north of Jerusalem. Overlooking the plain of Megiddo on the west and the plain of or Valley of Jezreel on the northeast. The Battle of Armageddon signals the end of the Great Tribulation and ushers in the Lord as the King of Kings, setting up his millennial reign. We have, in this world and in eschatology, we have great interest in the Battle of Armageddon. Although we're not Although we're looking for the Lord to come back in the rapture, we know that the world is ripe for judgment. We know that there are wars and rumors of wars that are going on, but we long for the day when Jesus Christ will come and destroy the armies of this world, when fighting will end. I don't know about you, I know there's some politicians and some Americans, they get excited about war. But listen, folks, I'm excited for the day when war will be no more. I'm excited for the day when, indeed, there will be peace upon this earth. And one of these days, God's long-suffering impatience is going to be up. He'll pour out his wrath upon this earth and he'll come to a head and come to a head right there in the valley or the mountain of Megiddo. In our text, we want to notice a couple of things, and I just want to bring this up. Like I said, we've not gone deep into some of the things that we've read about, but I just want to notice here a couple of things. We'll look at some of this a little bit, but notice there where I read verse 13, John saw Three unclean spirits like frogs come out of the mouth of the dragon, out of the mouth of the beast, and out of the mouth of the false prophet. Satan is a great deceiver. He's an imitator. And we know that our God, we spoke of Him this morning when we were studying Genesis, God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. This is the Trinity. And here in Revelation, we read of an unholy Trinity. A blasphemous Trinity that is made up of these three. The Bible, when we read about these things, John, as he's writing, He's describing things the best that he can, knowing what he knows. And as we think about the battle of Armageddon, we know that it's going to be satanic. There's a lot of powers of Satan working, but we also know that the powers of God will be working as well. This is indeed the conflict that has been going on for some 6,000 years, ever since the fall. This battle of Armageddon, a lot of people think of it as just being one final battle. It's actually going to be a series of battles. Might even think of it as a world war. Maybe it'll be World War III. We haven't got World War III in the history books yet. The world's itching for it. Maybe our current government will push us over to that. I don't know. Whatever World War number it is, it's going to be a world war. There's going to be A lot of nations fighting. And what's gonna happen is, as we study this out and we see what's happening, in the big picture, we know that in the last days, the Bible talks about there's gonna be wars and rumors of wars as nation rises up against nation. And what's going to happen is they'll start out fighting each other, but then they'll join forces together under the leadership of the Antichrist, and they'll fight Israel, they'll go after Israel. Now think about this, the woes of the world right now, what are they being blamed on? Well, they're being blamed on, at the moment, they're being blamed on Putin, aren't they? Okay, think about it for a minute. All of our economic woes, all of the missteps of President Biden, all of those things in the current administration, we're told it is because Putin invaded Ukraine. That ain't what's wrong with the world. Now he shouldn't have done that. He shouldn't have done that, but that's the narrative that's being thrown out there. But you know who the world hates worse than Putin even now is the nation of Israel. And so that's who's going to be blamed for the problems of what's going on in the world when things start going really bad. As John saw this vision, he saw these unclean spirits like frogs come out of the mouth of the dragon, out of the mouth of the beast, out of the mouth of the false prophet. He says in verse 14, they are the spirits of devils, working miracles, which go forth unto the kings of the earth and of the whole world to gather them to the battle of that great day of God Almighty. John sees this vision while he's at the Isle of Patmos, and he sees these spirits as they go out, and he says they're like frogs. They're hopping from one country to another country, from one world leader to another, with their deception that is heard and followed by every world leader all over the earth. And what is it that they're saying? What is it that they're doing? They're deceiving these guys into saying, hey, let's go into Jerusalem. Let's go after these. Let's follow the Antichrist. Let's go after Jerusalem. We see Satan at work there. the powers of the devil, but we also see God at work too, because it's called the battle of that great day of God Almighty. Understand something, that even though this has always been A battle that's taking place between Satan and God. Understand something, God is always sovereign over the workings of the devil. God is sovereign over everything. The devil can't even do anything unless God allows it. The book of Job lays that out very, very plainly there in Job chapter 1. And in other passages we read it as well. And we see it here. We see it here as well. Oh, let me tell you, let me tell you, and as we read through the history of the nation of Israel, we've seen time and time again how Satan would love to destroy that little nation and those people who have descended physically from Abraham time and time again. But he's failed. He's failed. Why? because God says you ain't allowed. You're only allowed to go so far. The Holocaust, you're only allowed to go so far, so far, and all of those things. And even now, in our present day, do we not see how that in this modern era, Even the establishment of the nation of Israel was somewhat of a miracle in that tiny piece of land that's no bigger than about the size of New Jersey. I know it's only half the size of Ohio. It ain't much. As soon as they declared their independence, what happened? They had a war. When all sorts of nations come after them, and they somehow miraculously won and gained some land. and all of those things. And they have missiles thrown after them and all sorts of things. And why is it that they persevere? Even when they were without a land, they kept their national identity. Why is that? Well, God is watching out for them and all that sort of thing. Well, there's a battle coming. There's a battle coming. It's called the battle of that great day of God Almighty, because he's going to allow them to all be gathered there. Yeah, even lead them there. The drying up of the river Euphrates. I mean, sure. the nations of the world can cross bridges and take boats and all that sort of thing. But that's gonna make it a lot easier. That's God working it all out. And even making it to where the Antichrist thinks it's his idea. And the nations of the world think that they're following Antichrist, because here's the real kicker, folks. If God sent word to the nations of the world, meet me at this place and at this time, would they show up? No. No. Both Satan and his men, they actually think in their mind that they can take care of this problem called God, that they can destroy this problem called Israel. And so they think that they're coming there on their own free will. Understand the sovereignty of God. Man thinks he's the captain of his own destiny. Man thinks he's rowing his own boat, but he ain't. He ain't. And even in the Old Testament, it's spelled out very, very clearly in Zechariah chapter 14. Behold, verse one says, behold, the day of the Lord cometh, and thy spoils shall be divided in the midst of thee, for I will gather all nations against Jerusalem to battle, and the city shall be taken, and the houses rifled, and the woman ravished, the women ravished. Half of the city shall go forth into captivity, and the residue of the people shall not be cut off from the city. The day of the Lord cometh, I will gather all nations against Jerusalem to battle. God's will will be done. He doesn't bring those people kicking and screaming, they come with their own free will. And the free will of man will always lead them to do the things that they want to do. When Jesus died on the cross, That was the will of God. And men did their will to Jesus. You see how it all works? God doesn't have robots around trying to do things for him. But God's will always is done. Always is done. Somebody said, where's America in prophecy? I can tell you where America is. If there's anything left of the United States, right there's where America is. God says, I will gather all nations against Jerusalem to battle. Oh, how I think that America ought to stand with Israel and ought to stay out of foreign wars. But history has shown we don't. And so let me tell you, if there's a war going on and with the right kind of a president, and let me tell you something, seven years of tribulation, when there's no churches in this country, And let me tell you something about voting in this country, and I'll only say this a couple times maybe, but it's a shame that Christians don't vote. I read statistics that said so much of a percentage of Christians don't get out and vote. That's a shame. And I know it's discouraging because we don't have the best candidates, and I know it's discouraging because they cheat and all that sort of thing, but we ought to get out and vote. But oh, what a discouraging thing it is to think about this country when there's no Christians voting. Who would be elected then? I can't even fathom the thought. But we ain't going to be worried about none of that because our Christianity, our salvation, our home in heaven doesn't hinge on what America is going to be doing during the tribulation period. But I can tell you where America will be. America will be right there. following Egypt and Russia and Ethiopia and Iran and all the others, going against Jerusalem. Why? Because man is depraved and this is what men will do. Back there in Revelation 16. He gathered them together. Similar language to what we read in Zechariah. He gathered them together into a place called in the Hebrew tongue, Armageddon. This campaign of battles probably come to a head. Well, it'll probably begin somewhere around the midway point in the tribulation period, come to a head at the Valley of Megiddo at the end. But you know, this Valley of Megiddo isn't the first battle fought. Armageddon, this battle here in Revelation 16, it's not the first time we read of battles being fought there. In fact, in the Scriptures, and even outside of the Scriptures, we read of some major events being fought there. In Judges chapter five, In verse 19, Judges 5 and verse 19, the kings came and fought, then fought the kings of Canaan and Tanak by the waters of Megiddo to no gain of money. We read about it in Judges. We read about it in the Kings, in 2 Kings 9. 2 Kings 9 and verse 27. But when Ahaziah the king of Judah saw this, he fled by the way of the garden house. And Jehu followed after him and said, smite him also in the chariot. And they did so going up to Ger, which is by Iblium. And he fled to Megiddo and died there. So Ahaziah the fifth king of Judah died at Megiddo. having been killed by Jehu. Several years later, in chapter 23, in 2 Kings 23, verses 29 and 30, it says, in his days, Pharaoh Nacho, king of Egypt, went up against the king of Assyria to the river Euphrates, And King Josiah went up against him, and he slew him at Megiddo when he had seen him. And his servants carried him in a chariot, dead from Megiddo, and brought him to Jerusalem and buried him in his own sepulcher. And the people of the land took Jehoahaz, the son of Josiah, and anointed him and made him king, and his father's dead." So Josiah, the king, this would be the 15th king of Judah. He died at Megiddo, having been killed by the Egyptian pharaoh. The place is a bloody place. There's been battles fought there through the centuries. And it is fitting that this final battle of the tribulation period would be fought here. Now this isn't the final, final battle. There's going to be another battle that is fought, and some people miss this. There will be a final battle at the end of the thousand-year reign of Christ. We'll look at that a little later. But this Battle of Armageddon is the final battle of the Tribulation period, this war which will come to a head at Ligeto. Why is this battle being fought? Well, in Joel chapter three, the book of Joel, chapter three, Verses one and two, he says, for behold, in those days and in that time, when I shall bring again the captivity of Judah and Jerusalem, I will also gather all nations, will bring them down into the valley of Jehoshaphat, will plead with them there and for my people and for my heritage Israel, whom they have scattered among the nations and parted my land. The battle will be fought because of their persecution of Israel. Remember the tribulation period is called the time of Jacob's trouble, but God is not pleased with the nations of the world. We'll see that as it comes to a head there at Megiddo, in Revelation chapter 19. Revelation 19, we'll look at this passage a little bit more in a while, but look at verse 15, it says, And out of his mouth goeth a sharp sword, that with it he should smite the nations, and he shall rule them with a rod of iron, and he treadeth the winepress of the fierceness and wrath of Almighty God. Because of the sinfulness of the world, that's why there's a battle that's gonna take place. God's going to gather them all in one place, and He's going to take care of them there, at that place. Chapter 16, verse 9. Men were scorched with great heat, and blasphemed the name of God, which hath power over these plagues, and they repented not to give him glory." Picture this, there's great tribulation that's going on all over the earth, and there's terrible things, horrible things going on. And the Bible even records here that as this fourth angel poured out his vial upon the sun, and power was given to him to scorch men with fire, and men were scorched, with great heat, heat from the sun. And they blasphemed the name of God, which hath power over these plagues, and they repented not to give Him glory." So as these things are happening around the world, the sinfulness of man is that they are sin. So in rebellion against God, they have so much declared war on God. Their hearts are so hard that they will not repent. Godlessness. Godlessness. That's why. That's why there has to be this war, this battle. Armageddon. There will be a number of nations involved. Of course, the Bible generically mentions all nations, but there are some nations who are specifically mentioned. In Ezekiel chapter 38, there's a prophecy given. Some commentators doubt that this has to do with the Battle of Armageddon. All commentators believe that this is a future battle. Where it fits is up for debate. However, as I mentioned, I believe that Armageddon is a series of battles, and so there's not been anything like this that's happened before in Ezekiel 38, so I believe it fits best with Armageddon. But look here at this passage, and we'll make some comments as we go along. And the word of the Lord came unto me, saying, Son, a man set thy face against Gog, that's the ruler of Russia, land of Magog, that's Russia, the chief prince of Meshech and Tubal, and prophesy against him. Meshech and Tubal are places which would be in modern-day Turkey. Okay, this is kind of setting the stage of where we're talking about there. And say, thus saith the Lord God, behold, I am against the old Gog, the chief prince of Meshech and Tubal, And I will turn thee back and put hooks into thy jaws. And I will bring thee forth and all thine army, horses and horsemen, all of them clothed with sorts of armor, with all sorts of armor, even a great company with bucklers and shields, all of them handling swords." Now, again, this is prophecy. Never been a battle like this that's taken place yet. It's interesting how that Ezekiel describes this as he saw this army, horses and horsemen, all of them clothed with all sorts of armor. I don't know about you what it might have been like for someone in Bible times to catch a glimpse of modern day warfare, but how else are you going to describe it, right? Bucklers and shields, all of them handling swords. Verse five, Persia and Ethiopia and Libya with them, all of them with shield and helmet. Gomar and all his bands, the house of Togarmar, the north quarters and all his bands and many people with him. Persia is Iran. And Gomar is Germany. Togarmah could be modern day Turkey or Armenia, the nation, not someone who doubts the doctrines of grace. We're not talking about Armenians. Talking about them, or many of the country. Be thou prepared and prepare for thyself, thou and all thy company that are assembled unto thee and be thou a guard unto them. After many days thou shalt be visited. In the, verse eight, the latter years, Thou shalt come into the land that is brought back from the sword, is gathered out of many people against the mountains of Israel, which have been always waste, but it is brought forth out of the nations, and they shall dwell safely, all of them. So we see that this is talking about the latter years, the last times, the end times, the eschatology that we're talking about. Thou shalt ascend, verse nine, thou shalt ascend and come like a storm, thou shalt be like a cloud to cover the land, thou and all thy bands and many people with thee. We see it's gonna be a great battle, a great war with people that will cover the land, many people with thee," he says. What will happen is there will be the Northern Federation of Russia, Turkey, and Germany, the Roman Empire even, Eastern Federation led by Iran, Southern Ethiopia, Libya, other African nations, they will come. Basically, Israel's gonna be attacked from all directions. They'll meet there, the Valley of Megiddo. And if this isn't talking about, in Ezekiel 38, if this isn't talking about particularly the battle of Armageddon, this is dress rehearsal for it. And this is how that that battle will take place, I believe, as they all come together, as they all come together and are attacked from other, from all directions. In Zechariah chapter 12, In Zechariah 12. Verses 1, 2, and 3, The burden of the word of the Lord for Israel, saith the Lord, which stretcheth forth the heavens, and layeth the foundation of the earth, and formeth the spirit of man within him. Behold, I will make Jerusalem a cup of trembling unto all people round about, when they shall be in the siege, both against Judah and against Jerusalem. And in that day will I make Jerusalem a burdensome stone for all people. All that burden themselves with it shall be cut in pieces, though all the people of the earth be gathered together against it. You say it won't happen, but I tell you it's happening now. And even with the formation of the United Nations, supposedly so that all the nations of the world can come to the table to prevent war, what happens? They come and a lot of times they condemn Israel. a country that supposedly don't have a right for self-defense. Let me tell you, if we had bombs being thrown and missiles firing into our country the way that they do, we'd be wanting to go to war with everybody and everything next to us. But they've restrained themselves so much because of world opinions. And every time they do strike out, the world comes in condemnation to them. It's wild. It's wild. And yet, the United States can go unprovoked and go after Iraq, can go after Other countries get involved in things that we ain't got no business being involved in. Russia, Russia can go and do things. And, and, and, and I mean, let's not forget this thing with Ukraine's not the first time that Russia has gone and done something. They went one too many years, they were rolling tanks across the border into the country of Georgia. and other places. Never in the history of the world has there been so much hatred and disgust against any one nation like there is against Israel. They'll come in there, they'll keep going, keep pushing, until God stops them. In Zechariah chapter 14, Behold, the day of the Lord cometh. and thy spoils shall be divided in the midst of thee. For I will gather all nations against Jerusalem to battle, and the city shall be taken, and the houses rifled, and the women ravished. Half the city shall go forth into captivity, and the residue of the people shall not be cut off from the city." It's called the day of the Lord. Why is that? Because the Lord is going to get the victory. regardless of how bad it looks, regardless of what kind of weapons they have, nuclear weapons, great armies, it doesn't matter. It doesn't matter. You know, I don't know what's going to happen between now and then, but let me tell you something. I'm not worried about nuclear war. I'm not worried about what Putin's got. I'm not worried about, I'm not even worried about the fact that Biden has the nuclear codes. I'm not worried about that. I mean, I wish he didn't. He can barely handle his own ice cream. But I'm not worried about that. Why? Because God's got this world under control. We can have the most bumbling idiot for president ever, and it doesn't matter. Putin can be out of control. It doesn't matter. Because the reality is, when we think that our president's an idiot and Putin's out of control, the fact is God's got all this under control. Nothing is gonna happen that is outside of his control. And even if the midterm elections get stolen and everybody that wins is a Democrat, a puppet of whatever puppet master that is controlling our president, God still got it all under control. Every bit of it. I'm still going to vote. And I'm going to vote straight up the way that they don't want me to vote. And I'm not going to be silenced. They'll have to kill me to make me quiet. And that time may come, but so be it. So be it. Because I've read the back of the book and I know what's happening. In Isaiah chapter 34 in verse 2, let's start with verse 1. Come near ye nations to hear and hearken ye people. Let the earth hear All that is therein, the world and all things that come forth of it, for the indignation of the Lord is upon all nations and his fury upon all their armies. He hath utterly destroyed them. He hath delivered them to the slaughter." And that's what's going to happen. He's delivering them to the slaughter. And this is what's happening. They're going to think we've got them now. We're going to finally, we've done got rid of all the Baptist churches, all of the Christian, all the Christian churches that were in our cities and towns. We've got rid of them. Now we're going to get rid of Israel and we'll finally have the socialist utopia that we've always dreamed of. Let's go to Jerusalem and get it taken care of. And they'll go. And they'll go. And in Revelation chapter 19, it's not going to go the way that they want it to. In verse 11, Revelation 19 verse 11, it says, and I saw heaven opened. Praise God that John got off that island of Patmos, wrote these things down. He saw those things, he wrote it down. And I saw heaven opened and behold, a white horse. And He that sat upon Him was called Faithful and True. And in righteousness He doth judge and make war." You know who that is? That's Jesus Christ. His eyes were as a flame of fire and on His head were many crowns. He had a name written that no man knew but He Himself. He was clothed with a vesture dipped in blood, and His name was called the Word of God. And the armies which were in heaven followed Him upon white horses, clothed in fine linen, white and clean. Out of His mouth goeth a sharp sword, that with it He should smite the nations, and He shall rule them with a rod of iron, He treadeth the winepress of the fierceness and wrath of Almighty God. And he hath on his vesture and on his thigh a name written King of Kings and Lord of Lords. How's it going? When you go into a bookstore, go into a lot of churches, They have pictures of supposedly Jesus, and He looks effeminate. But we have this description of Jesus, and He's not effeminate at all. He's mighty, the mighty conqueror. I'll tell you why. Because man wants an effeminate Jesus. They want somebody that they can control. But listen to me now. Jesus is coming. And He's coming. He's coming. In righteousness to judge and make war. What we're reading here is the second phase of the second coming. If you remember when I talked about the rapture, I said that's the first phase of the second coming. In that first phase, Jesus comes in the air. He's coming in the clouds. He's going to take us away, rapturous out of here. He's not going to step down on the ground. We'll meet him in the air. And so shall we ever be with the Lord. But in the second phase of the second coming, at the end of the tribulation period, he's going to come back and we're going to come with him. Verse 14, the armies which were in heaven followed him upon white horses, clothed in fine linen, white and clean. Over in the book of Jude, verses 14 and 15, Jude, verses 14 and 15, And Enoch, also the seventh from Adam, prophesied of these, saying, Behold, the Lord cometh with ten thousands of His saints to execute judgment upon all and to convince all that are ungodly among them of all their ungodly deeds which they have ungodly committed and of all their hard speeches which ungodly sinners have spoken against Him. We're coming with Him. We'll be taking He'll come for us when He comes in the rapture, but then He'll come with us, or we'll come with Him, to be more accurate, when He comes back seven years later. And oh, what a joy that'll be, to be with the Lord during that great battle. In fact, This is when it will all come to an end. Check this out. As the King of Kings and Lord of Lords comes, and we follow with Him. Verse 17, I saw an angel standing in the sun, and he cried with a loud voice, saying, to all the fowls that fly in the midst of heaven, come and gather yourselves together unto the supper of the great God, that ye may eat the flesh of kings, and the flesh of captains, and the flesh of mighty men, the flesh of horses, and of them that sit on them, and the flesh of all men, both free and bond, both small and great. I saw the beast, the kings of the earth and their armies gathered together to make war against him that sat on the horse and against his army." Can you imagine? Logic would say, hey, we're up against this city of Jerusalem. Now here comes the King of Kings and the Lord of Lords. It's written. Right there on his thigh, clear. The whole host with him. They're coming. Lay down your weapons, surrender to the king, bow down to him and give up. You can't win this. But what will they do? The orders will be given. Those guns you've got aimed at Jerusalem, aim them upward. Hold her steady and fire at will. Fire when ready for whatever. I'd imagine there'll be palms bursting in the air like you've never seen before, ever. But guess what? They ain't gonna hurt none of us because we'll be in our... They can't kill us. We'll be resurrected bodies, folks. Oh, and by the way, While that's all going on, the birds will start coming. The eagles, the vultures, the nasty birds that eat on the flesh of dead things. They'll start coming. They'll roost up in the trees. They'll start circling. These superstitious people, you know, I imagine there'll be some people say, this is a bad omen. We got to get out of here. And someone else will say, you can't leave, you got to stay. They'll all be gathered, ready for a feast, a feast of dead people who will die as they make war against God and God's people. Verse 19 says, And I saw the beast and the kings of the earth and their armies gathered together to make war against him that sat on the horse and against his army. And the beast was taken, and with him the false prophet, that wrought miracles before him, with which he deceived them that had received the mark of the beast. them that worshiped his image, these both were cast alive into a lake of fire burning with brimstone, and the remnant were slain with the sword of him that sat upon the horse, which sword proceeded out of his mouth, and all the fowls were filled with their flesh." The nations, armies of the world will be gathered there together to fight against Israel and the God of Israel, but it won't last long. Right away, the leaders, the Antichrist, the false prophet, they'll be destroyed, taken alive, thrown into the lake of fire. This, no doubt, will cause some confusion, but as the battle wears on, the others will die as the armies of the world are annihilated, destroyed, in that great bloodbath, in that final stand at the end of Armageddon. It will be a bloodbath. In Revelation chapter 14 and verse 20, Verses 19 and 20, And the angel thrust in his sickle into the earth, gathered the vine of the earth, and cast it into the great winepress of the wrath of God. And the winepress was trodden without the city, and blood came out of the winepress even unto the horse bridles by the space of a thousand and six hundred furlongs. And bridle comes to the neck of the horse. 1,600 furlongs is approximately 200 miles. That's quite a lot of bloodshed. There will be fatalities that will happen, huge fatalities with the nations of the world. And let me tell you something, Israel, as far as she goes, Israel, well, There will be some fatalities on her side as well in Zechariah chapter 13. In this series of battles and in the tribulation period, in Zechariah chapter 13, verses 7 through 9, Says the Lord also shall save the tents of Judah first, that the glory of the house of David, oh, I'm sorry, I'm in chapter 12, I wanna be in chapter 13. Awake, O sword, against my shepherd, and against the man that is my fellow, saith the Lord of hosts. Smite the shepherd, and his sheep shall be scattered. I will turn mine hand upon the little ones, and it shall come to pass, that in all the land, saith the Lord, two parts therein shall be cut off and die, but the third shall be left therein. I'll bring the third part through the fire. We'll refine them as silver is refined and we'll try them as gold is tried. They shall call on my name and I will hear them. I will say it is my people and they shall say the Lord is my God. Don't misunderstand what I'm preaching here. Not all of Israel as they stand today will be saved. Not all of Israel will survive. Only a third of the Jewish people will survive. But notice by the end of it in Zechariah chapter 14, verses 3 through 9, look at what happens. Then shall the Lord go forth and fight against those nations as when He fought in the day of battle. And His feet shall stand in that day upon the Mount of Olives, which is before Jerusalem on the east. And the Mount of Olives shall cleave in the midst thereof toward the east, toward the west, and there shall be a very great valley. Half of the mountain shall remove toward the north, half of it toward the south, and ye shall flee to the valley of the mountains. For the valley of the mountains shall reach unto Azo. Yea, ye shall flee, like as you fled from before the earthquake in the days of Uzziah king of Judah, and the Lord my God shall come and all the saints with thee. Verse six, and it shall come to pass in that day that the light shall not be clear nor dark, but it shall be one day which shall be known to the Lord, not day nor night, but it shall come to pass that at evening time it shall be light, and it shall be in that day that living water shall go out from Jerusalem, half of them toward the former sea, half of them toward the hinder sea, in summer and in winter shall it be The Lord shall be king over all the earth. In that day shall there be one Lord, in His name, one. As Jesus stands on the Mount of Olives, and they flee to Him for safety, this remnant, and that's what we're talking about, it's all we've ever talked about. Every preacher I've ever known that believes this has ever only talked about a remnant being saved. They flee to Him. We get this great picture of the fact that this is the only, the only true place of refuge that they have. It was never in the idols, never in the law even. No, it wasn't there. But only in Jesus Christ, their Messiah, their Savior. Jesus, their hope and their Savior. That's what the old pre-mill and pre-trib preachers were talking about when they talked about Israel being saved. The old dispensational guys that I knew, that's what they were talking about. In Romans chapter 11, that's what Paul was talking about. In Romans chapter 11. Verses 26 and 27, he says, and so all Israel shall be saved. As is written, there shall come out of Zion a deliverer, shall turn away ungodliness from Jacob, for this is my covenant unto them, when I shall take away their sins. How will they be saved? How will they be saved? By putting their faith and trust in Jesus Christ. the exact same way you and I are saved. And oh, let me tell you, what a great day that'll be. What a wonderful thing that is, when we think about the fact that in all the chaos and all of the craziness of this world, and even as it goes forward into the tribulation and all of the trouble and the wars and all of that, that God's got a remnant. And Jesus Christ is going to come and fight for that remnant. Because they are His. Just like we're His. Antichrist will be defeated. His kingdom will come to an end. The nations of the world will have no armies. Lord willing, we'll see next time that He'll set up His kingdom, His earthly kingdom. And we'll get into some of that as well. That's future. We're here today. And so my question for you today is, what about you? Is Jesus Christ your refuge? Have you fled to Him for safety? Because let me tell you, he's the only hope for Israel. He's the only hope for a dirty old Gentile like me. I've never met anybody who's ever run to Jesus and regretted it. Trust in the Lord and be saved today. May God add a blessing to his word.
