I'll sing a song before I have my message. You pray. All of grace is my story All the way from earth to glory Since by grace He lifted me from sin and woe Living grace He has extended on Him My heart depended and He'll give new grace When it's my time to go Grace not yet discovered Grace not yet uncovered Grace from His bountiful soul Grace to cross the river Grace to face forever There'll be new grace I've not needed before When the storms of life assail me And my strength begins to fail me Grace will be my anchor in the storm When my heart is faint and weary, And my path seems dark and dreary, Grace will lead me safely to shore. Grace not yet discovered, Grace not yet uncovered, Grace from His bountiful soul. Grace to cross the river. Grace to face forever. There'll be new grace I've not needed before. In the moments of temptation When I face my own frustration Grace will be the strength I need to stand When I stumble, when I falter, Grace will be my faithful altar, And I'll rise to meet the Lord's hand. Grace not yet discovered, Grace not yet uncovered, Grace from his bountiful soul Grace to cross the river Grace to face forever There'll be new grace I've not needed before. Grace not yet discovered. Grace not yet uncovered. Grace from His bountiful soul. Grace to cross the river. Grace to face forever. There'll be new grace I've not needed before. There'll be new grace I've not needed before. Here take your Bibles over to Mark chapter 4 verse 22. Mark chapter 4 verse 22. verse 22. Just for a little while, I want to talk to you about God's best kept secret. As we begin our reading in Mark chapter 4 verse 22, nothing is hidden which will not be revealed, nor has anything been kept secret but that it should come to light. Let's pray. We come before you, Father, grateful for the love and grace, asking for your forgiveness for our sins, both seen and unseen, and for the times that we've faltered in our walk with you. Help us to put on the armor of God daily so that we may stand strong against the trials that we face as we gather to explore your word. We ask for understanding and wisdom. Illuminate our hearts with your truth, especially as we get into Mark chapter four, verse 22, which reminds us that nothing hidden will remain so forever. May your secrets be revealed to us and may we apply these truths to our lives in Jesus's marvelous mighty name. Amen. I was reading about a little boy named Johnny who discovered a hidden box in his attic. While he was playing, intrigued, he opened it to find an array of old family photographs, letters, and mementos from his grandparents. Each item told a story of love, sacrifice, and hope, hidden treasures that brought his family's history to life. This moment transformed Johnny's understanding of where he came from igniting in him a sense of pride and belonging. Similarly, here in Mark chapter 4 verse 22, Jesus reveals that nothing is hidden which will not be revealed. And so he speaks of the spiritual truth, urging us to seek out the hidden wisdom of God. Just as Johnny discovered treasures in his attic, we are invited to uncover the divine mysteries that God has kept secret until the appointed time. You know what? Nothing hidden forever reminds us that God's truth will ultimately be revealed. In a world where misinformation and deception abound, it's reassuring to know that God's wisdom cannot be concealed indefinitely. And so are there areas in our lives where we are hiding from God's light. Let's bring those areas into the open through prayer and confession. Trust that His light will bring healing and clarity. Seeking and finding, we see in Mark 4, 22, that the secrets of the kingdom are for those who earnestly seek Him. Jeremiah 29, 13, we see God's promises, and ye shall seek me and find me, and when ye shall search for me with all of your heart. And so, our lives are so busy, how often do we intentionally seek God? We need to make a commitment to carve out time every day for prayer and Bible study, actively seeking His presence. And then we look and we see about sharing the secret. because in Mark chapter 4 verse 22, the revelations that we receive from God are not meant to be hoarded but shared. The great commission of Matthew chapter 28 verses 19 and 20 calls us to go and make disciples, spreading the good news of Christ. I ran into a lady yesterday. that in St. Joseph's Emory Hospital that had a great need and prayer began to break out right in front of the chapel, right under the main floor of the entire hospital. Why? Because St. Joseph's is a religious hospital. and it can be flooded with every floor and every room. Who in our lives today needs to hear the hope of the gospel? One of the things that that lady, Miss Noe, began to tell me, she said, make sure you go share the gospel with somebody. We need to identify one person that's around us to share our faith with and allow God's secrets to be revealed through our testimonies. Here, as we look at the application and we see a mark chapter 4 verse 22. The very first thing that we see is the assurance of revelation, the promise of exposure. Nothing is covered that will not be revealed in Matthew chapter 10 verse 26. And so God's truth will ultimately shine no matter how obscured that it seems right now. Not only assurance of revelation, that the promise of exposure, but the purpose of revelation. Before there's nothing hidden that will not be known according to Luke 8, 17. God's secrets are meant to guide us into deeper truths. And so the assurance of salvation, the promise of exposure, the purpose of revelation, we see the power of the revealed. Because in 1 Corinthians 2.10, the Bible says, but God has revealed them to us through His Spirit. You see, when we receive revelation, we gain insight and strength. for our journey. And so, imagine a man that stumbles upon a treasure buried in a field. He joyfully sells all that he has to buy that field, knowing that the treasure is worth far more than anything that he possesses. Well, The parable illustrates that while some truths about God may seem hidden, they're invaluable once they're discovered. And like the man who found the treasure, when we seek God with all of our hearts, we uncover the profound secrets of His love. and purpose for us, just as the man made sacrifices that gained the treasure. We're called to seek God with dedication. What are we willing to let go of in our lives to pursue a deeper relationship with Him? And so, we see the assurance of that revelation. Amen. But secondly, the secrets of the kingdom. Because in Matthew chapter 11 verse 22, we see hidden from the wise. He says, you have hidden these things from the wise and prudent. And the mysteries of God are often obscured from those who think they know it all. And so of the secrets of the kingdom, not only hidden from the wise, but revealed to the humble. And he says, and he revealed them to babes. The true understanding comes from a heart that is open and eager to learn. the secrets of the kingdom hidden from the wise revealed to the humble but also a treasure that is to be sought because I'm glad that each and every one of us that when we look, Matthew chapter 13, verse 52, every scribe instructed concerning the kingdom of heaven is like a householder who brings out of his treasure things new and old. You see, as believers, we're called to dig deep into God's word for his treasures. You know what? Consider a lighthouse keeper who maintains the light that guides the ships safely to shore. And if the light goes out, ships, risk crashing against the rocks. And this is like the truths of God. Because if we don't let His light shine through us, others may stumble in darkness. I'm glad in today's society we're called to be lighthouses for those that are around us. How can we ensure that the light of Christ shines brightly in our actions and words? And so, when we look, we begin to realize that how all of this we see the assurance of that revelation, the promise of exposure, the purpose of revelation, the power of the revealed. But not only that, we see secondly, the secrets of the kingdom, hidden from the wise, revealed to the humble, and a treasure to be sought. But thirdly, there's the application of those secrets, according to Ephesians chapter 3, verses 3, 4, and 5, because we see the call to discovery, how that by Revelation, He made known to me and you the mystery. Each of us is invited to seek God's secrets for our lives. And so not only the application of secrets, the call to discover, but the duty to share, to make all see what is the fellowship of the mystery. And as we learn, we must share these insights with others that are around us. And so we see the application of secrets. the call to discover and the duty to share, but also the impact of that revelation. Because Christ in you, Colossians 127 says, Christ in you, the hope of glory. You see, the revelation that we receive transforms us and gives hope to those around us. C.S. Lewis once said, what you see and what you hear depends on a great deal on where you are standing. It is also depending on what sort of person you are, unquote. And so, I'm glad to grasp the secrets of God's kingdom. We must examine our hearts and align our perspectives with His. And so, when we look and understand that God holds secrets that are meant for us, these secrets revealed in His timing have the power to transform our lives. Just as Johnny discovered the hidden treasures of his family's past up in the attic, we too can uncover the treasures of our faith that leads us to a deeper relationship with God. These revelations compel us to walk boldly in our faith, share these truths with others, foster a community that seeks to know Him more intimately. Praise God. And so, God's best-kept secrets are treasures waiting to be unearthed. And as we seek Him with our whole hearts, we'll discover the profound truths that He has for every one of us, not only to cherish the truths, but also to share them, shining His light in a world that desperately needs it, praise God. By understanding that nothing is truly hidden from those who seek God, we're empowered to live in the fullness of His revelation, sharing His love and truth with others, amen. As we reflect on Mark chapter 4 verse 22, what truths has God revealed to me and you? that we need to share with others. How can we seek him more earnestly in our daily life? Who can we encourage to uncover God's secrets today? You see, I'm glad that we all have a hidden truth that God can reveal to us in our lives right now by our time of seeking God's guidance and asking the Holy Spirit to illuminate the areas of our life where we need clarity and direction. And so we can share the secrets of God's word with someone who is out there seeking, amen. That we can encourage someone else, a family member through scripture, share how God's truth has impacted our own lives, amen. And so I'm glad. that each and every one of us can know God's best kept secret. Praise God. Heavenly Father, thank you for the secrets that you've kept for us, waiting for the right time to reveal them. And we ask that you continue to forgive our sins, lead us into deeper truths, help us to recognize your revelations in our lives, and to share them boldly with others. And may we live out the hope of Christ within us, transforming our hearts and the hearts of those that are around us in the mighty, powerful name of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Amen. you
