Turn your Bibles to the book of 2 Corinthians chapter 8 if you would please. Some years ago with the Holy Ghost as my guide I entered at the portico of Genesis and walked down the corridors of the Old Testament into the gallery where pictures of Noah and Abraham and Isaiah and Jacob and Joseph hung on the walls. I entered the music room of the Psalms. where the sweet spirit sweeps the keyboard of nature until it seems that every reed and pipe of God's great organ will respond to the harp of David, the sweet singer of Israel. I entered the chamber of Ecclesiastes and caught a glimpse of the preacher. And into the conservatory of the rose of Sharon and the lily of the valley where the sweet spices filled and perfumed my life. I entered the business office of the Proverbs And then into the observatory of the prophets, where I saw prophets with telescopes of all sizes pointing to far off events, concentrating mostly on the bright morning star that was to arise out of the moonlit hills of Judea. I entered the audience room, catching a glimpse written by Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John, and into the correspondence room where I saw Paul, Peter, James, John, and Jude writing their epistles. I stepped into the throne room, where Tyre were the glittering peaks, where I saw Jesus standing on the right hand of God. The Lord of Lords, the Lamb of Lambs. And I cried, all hail the power of Jesus' name. Let angels prostrate fall. Bring forth the royal diadem and crown him Lord of all. It's wonderful to be saved. I've enjoyed this meeting thoroughly. I've enjoyed the music from the first one on Sunday morning to what we've heard thus far tonight. And I told pastor that, I said, you have some talent in your church. And it's just good, stirring kind of music. I want to say a big thank you to a couple of my preacher friends. I only have about three, so I have to be kind to them. Brother and sister Hickey from up in Virginia and they're a friend with a Vic and then Pastor Bill Debbie South pastors down in Greer, South Carolina in Pleasant View Baptist Church, and of course my wife and my daughter here. I have four Jubilees in my life. Now a Jubilee is 50 years. In the Bible some 50 years happens, something big happens. Well, I have four Jubilees. First of all, I'm 50 years of age at least. And then I've been saved for 50 years at least. And I have been married for 50 years, 58 years as a matter of fact. And the fourth jubilee in my life is that I have been preaching for 50 years. God has been good to this dumb old Kentucky boy. Now I want to tell you a story and make a little application with this story. I told you I'm from Kentucky and I met my new friend today, Sean. I saw Sean coming out of the bookstore over the day. We didn't meet then, just saw each other and then we talked out here in the foyer and he said, he's a Kentucky boy too. In the hills of Kentucky, back when, before all this modern day stuff, they used to go buy groceries, and they'd have to buy a lot for a few months at a time, because they didn't have transportation going to the stores and that kind of thing, and so usually this man would take his hog into town, and he would sell it, and then take the proceeds, plus any money that he had, and buy staples, you know, flour, corn, and coffee, and all those kinds of things. Well, this year, he's gonna let his 14-year-old boy do this. He thought, son, it's time for you to learn to do this. And so all I have is $15. He handed him three $5 bills. And he said, I want you to lead this hog to town, to the market, and sell it. And take the proceeds from the hog and the $15, and buy what we need, and I'll give you a list. So this kid, he is walking, pulling this hog along. He's feeling real good about the responsibility his dad has given to him. And he's just kicking over rocks. And he kicks this one rock that didn't move. And when it didn't move, he fell. And when he fell, he dropped those three $5 bills. And that hog went and sucked all those three $5 bills up. And he started crying because he knew his daddy was going to beat the stuffings out of him. You understand that word, stuffings? In some places, they would have said snot, but we're too dignified. We won't do that here. And all of a sudden, he looked up, and down the road came one of the local preachers. And he must have had a good day in church yesterday, because he was whistling, happy, singing, and humming. And this little boy, he had presence of mind. He remembered, I got a couple of Alka-Seltzers in my overalls. So he pulled these two Alka-Seltzers out of his pocket. He shoved them down the throat of that pig. And that preacher walked up. He still, and all of a sudden, that boy, he kicked that pig in the rear end, and he burped up a $5 bill. And that preacher's eyes got a little big, and he said, son, you want to sell that hog? I'll give you $25 right now. He said, no, no, no, sir, I'm not going to sell him. He kicked that pig a second time in the seat, and he burped up another $5 bill. And the preacher's eyes got bigger. He said, son, I'll give you $50 right now for that hog. No, no, sir, I'm not gonna sell him. He kicked that pig the third time. He burped up another $5 bill, and now the preacher's just about beside himself. He said, son, I'll give you $75 right now for that hog. He said, okay, I think I'll sell him. He took those $75, added the 15 he had, went into town, bought $90 worth of good stuff, and when he got home, his daddy was so proud of him. But the next day, The headlines in the little town paper said, local preacher arrested for kicking pig to death. Now I told you that because I want to tell you, even though I'm going to talk about money tonight, I'm not going to kick on you. Is everybody good with that? I tell people truthfully, I say, if you knew what I think I know about what the Bible says about money and giving, you'd beg me to tell you. Sometimes people think, well, if the preacher's going to talk about money, he's just trying to get more for himself. And that's not the way it works. Everybody votes on the preacher's salary. And so they know what he gets, they don't know what you make and other people make, but they know what he makes because they vote on that. So that's just not the way it works. But a lot of people have not been taught right about money. I went to hold a revival meeting one time, and I'm sitting there on the front row. I'm the guest preacher for this revival meeting. And the preacher got up at offering time and he said, folks, it's offering time. But I just want you to know, God doesn't need your money. First of all, I'm thinking, am I hearing what I'm hearing? And then he said, now, if you wanna prove your love for the Lord and give a nickel or dime, that would be good. I really couldn't believe that. And he said, if you wanna make a sacrifice and give a little something to the Lord, that'd be good. And I'm sitting there, I can't believe a guy, a preacher would get up and say that. Well, after the church service, we're out in the parking lot, he said, hey, I don't know why he would do this. He said, what do you think about the way I took the offering tonight? Well, I wouldn't have said anything to him. But he asked me. I said, well, brother, I wouldn't have said anything, but you're asking me. I said, here's what I'd do. Tomorrow night, why don't you just get up and say, folks, I want you to turn in your Bible to Luke's gospel, chapter six and verse 38. And then just read it to them. Which says, give and it shall be given unto you, good measure, pressed down, shaken together and running over, shall men give into your bosom. Well, that's what he did. The next night he got up and he said, folks, turn your Bible to Luke 638, and he read it. They took the offering. They did that the rest of the week. And the offering they took up for the preacher that week was like $350, $60. But that's not what they gave me. They gave me $150. And the preacher said, the men said, that's too much to give you. So this is what they gave you. Now I've learned this, and I'm sure Pastor Brohill knows about this. If I teach our people to be stingy toward guest preachers and that kind of thing, they'll learn how to be stingy with me. And if I teach them how to give and take care of those people, they'll take care of me. That's just the way it works. I have a preacher friend who used to be head of BIMI. And one day he was in a meeting and they were gonna take up an offering for the missionaries or the missionary. He was the missionary. He put $5 in. So when they got through, They handed him an envelope. And he didn't want to look at it before he got out of town, so he waited until he got past the city limits. And he said, honey, look and see how much is in there. And she looked in there, and it was a $5 bill. That's exactly what he gave. And his wife said, Don, if you'd have given more, you'd have gotten more. A guy walks into a church. And he says to the receptionist, is the head hog of the trough here? She said, what, pardon me? He said, is the head hog of the trough here? She wanted to make sure she heard him right. She said, sir, if you're referring to our pastor, we don't call him the head hog of the trough. We have to be more respectful. We may call him preacher or pastor or something else, brother, but not head hog of the trough. He said, well, okay. And he turned to walk away. And he said, well, I had just brought $10,000 in here I was gonna give to the mission program. She said, wait just a minute, I think the big pig just walked in the back door. Guy was up preaching. Now we're going somewhere here. Guy was up preaching, and he was trying to bring it to a conclusion, and he said, now folks, this church, like that lame man's gotta get up and walk. And the people said, amen, preacher, let her walk. He said, folks, this church, like Elijah on Mount Carmel's gotta run. They said, amen, preacher, let her run. He said, now folks, this church, like an eagle's gotta get up and fly. They said, amen, preacher, let her fly. He said, now church, If we're gonna fly, it takes money. And they said, well, amen, preacher, let her walk. Do you know how to get a heart for Calvary Baptist Church? I'm gonna tell you how to get a heart. Do you know how to get a heart for missionaries? Wasn't that a powerful missionary testimony by Ezra tonight? I'm going to tell you how to get a heart for Calvary, how to get a heart for missions. Matthew 6, verse 21, for where your treasure is, there will your heart be also. Now don't reverse that because Jesus didn't reverse that. We think where your heart is, that's where your treasure is. That's not what Jesus said. Where your treasure is, that's where your heart will be also. You want a heart for Calvary Baptist Church? Put some treasure here. Today they call it, you got some skin in the game? If you want a heart for missions, put your treasure there. And what you put your treasure is, that's where your heart's gonna go. So Jesus said where your treasure is, that's where your heart will be. Malachi asked a question. Will a man rob God? That's a good question, isn't it? So if I ask you, will a man rob God? I'm going to tell you, God answered that. He said, yes, they will. And they said, wherein have we robbed thee? He said, in tithes and offerings. Now, if there is a rogues gallery in heaven, it will be pictures of people who are non-tithers, thieves, robbers. Now there's more than one way to rob God other than just money. You rob him of his deity, you rob him of his glory, you rob him of everything that's his. But will a man rob God? Yes, he said, in tithes and offerings. One of the things you gotta get, you gotta get your picture off the wall. I saw a police officer last night. And I said something to him, because my son is a border patrol agent, has been for 20 plus years. And my son-in-law is a Seminole Indian police officer. And I said, in Kentucky, there was a group of third graders that were going through the sheriff's office, and they came to the wall with 10 Most Wanted on it. And this little third grade girl, she raised her hand, and the sheriff said, yes, honey. She said, mister, are them bad people? He said, sweetheart, they're very bad people, but we're gonna catch them. She said, why didn't you keep them when you took their picture? Do you think the Lord may have somebody in here's picture on the wall? Well, you do what's right and he'll take it down. And he said, I want you to bring all the ties into the storehouse and prove me now herewith. and see if I won't open the windows of heaven and pour you out a blessing that you can't be able to receive. And then he said, I will rebuke the devourer for your sakes. I got saved at the age of 19, serving in the United States Navy. I was born in Kentucky, I was born again in Virginia, over in the Norfolk area. And somewhere after that, I heard about tithing. And then sometime after that, I learned about faith promise giving. And then later, I may have time to mention that later on or not, I learned about another kind of giving. You see there are tithes, there are offerings, there's faith promised giving, and then there's just try God. In that very passage in Malachi chapter three, he said, prove me now herewith. Put me to the test. Try me. And when you give, and if he doesn't give it back to you or give back to you, now our problem is, We think that if we give it before we get off the parking lot out of the property, he's going to give it back to us. Now, that's not the way it works. It could work that way, but he will give it back to you. He will be debtor to no man. And so here the Bible is saying is, will a man rob God? Why don't you put God to the test? You know a church like Calvary Baptist Church, the property that you have here, the buildings that you have here, the school that you have here, all the things that are going on, the college, the bookstore, the bus ministry, and all the other things, and then somebody has to pay for the lights, and somebody has to pay for the electricity. They don't give that stuff free to churches. I know when people don't have anything to eat, they don't call Kroger's or Publix or a grocery store, they call the church. And I know when they can't afford to pay their light bill, they don't call the electric company and tell them they can't pay, they call the church. And people think the church is involved in everything. And the people think, and they'll make you think that they're the most faithful people that's ever been in church. And wanting you to give them something, if you don't give it to them before they leave, they might cuss you out. Now we wanna be known as God's people. I wanna be known as a giver. I have learned that, and I have learned that if you give, you really can now give God. And God will give back to you. I never thought years in my life when Miss Judy and I got married, we lived from paycheck to paycheck, and weekend to weekend, and sometimes the weekend didn't make it to the weekend. We was already out. I never thought, probably in those days, I would have never thought that I would be debt free. I never thought that I'd own a house that's paid for. I'm convinced in my heart that one of the reasons that those two things are true is because I have been a tither and I have been involved in Faith Promise Missions giving. I mentioned to you the other night about stretching. Judy and I stretched every time we had a Faith Promise. And Faith Promise Missions Conference was one of the highlights of our church year. Brother Tom has been there with Helps Ministries before. And it's just a good week. And people give and they stretch. And that's what people at Calvary Baptist Church will want to do. You want to stretch so that you can do more for the Lord here in King, North Carolina. Last night we were talking about the maniac who became a missionary and we ran out of time. I was going to tell you when he went home and told him how great things God had done for him, the way you give your testimony and there's power in your testimony. You tell them what you were like before you got saved. How you got saved and the difference that it has made in your life. Just three little simple things. You just tell them what God's done for you. And then you, Jesus is the one who taught us to give. Now, in 2 Corinthians chapter 8, where I had you to turn, you probably thought I forgot that, didn't you? I'm not beyond forgetting that. But the Bible says in verse 1, Moreover, brethren, we do you to wit of the grace of God bestowed on the churches of Macedonia, how then in a great trial of affliction the abundance of their joy and their deep poverty abounded unto the riches of their liberality. For to their power I bear record, yea, and beyond their power they were willing of themselves. And may it please the great God of heaven that formed all things. So stand for His divine approval upon the reading, hearing, heeding, and preaching of His forever settled in heaven Word of God. And before I ask you to pray with me, may I give you three quick facts about God? For the Lord is good, His mercy is everlasting, and His truth endureth to all generations. Dear Father, would you bless this time together and meet every need and help us, Jesus, in Christ's name, amen. Paul is writing to the church at Corinth. The Corinthians were a very varied people. 1 and 2 Corinthians teaches a lot of doctrines and they had a lot of issues and God never gave up on them. And Paul is writing to them, this is the second letter that he's writing to them. And he says, I want you to know the wit, the grace of God, I want you to know the grace of God. Now the grace of God, the Bible tells us in verse nine, for you know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that though he was rich, yet for your sakes he became poor, that ye through his poverty might be rich. And he said, now I want you to know, to wit the grace of God, bestowed on the churches of Macedonia. Now, Macedonia happened one day on Paul's journey, and he tried to go this way, and the Spirit suffered him not. So he tried to go here, and the Spirit wouldn't let him go there. And he was a little frustrated as to what to do, and he saw a vision in the night, and there was a man saying, come over into Macedonia and help us. And he determined that that was the direction they should go, and he went there, and the first person he met there was not a man, but it was a woman. And they were having a prayer meeting, and he started praying, and that woman got saved. And then there's a little spirit-dominated girl who was following them around, and they prayed again, and he cast the devil out of that girl. She got saved. And the people that had control over that girl arrested Paul and Silas and beat them and put them in jail, and they prayed, and the jailer got saved. Three prayers, three people got saved. You'd think we'd pray more, wouldn't you? And in Macedonia, and the churches of Macedonia were Philippi, Berea, and Thessalonica. And he said, I want you to know the grace of God that has been bestowed, the grace of God that has been bestowed on the churches of Macedonia. And he said in this very, how then in a great trial of affliction, the abundance of their joy and their deep poverty abounded unto the riches of their liberality. How do you explain that? How do you explain somebody who is in deep poverty, and in a trial of affliction, and it's going to equal a lot, that only works with the Lord. The church of Philippi, they were supporting Paul. He went down to Thessalonica. They were giving him money. And then it sort of dried up for a while. They didn't send him anything. And then it flourished again. And he told them that in Philippians chapter four, how that your liberality has flourished again. And you have sent to me once and again down to Thessalonica. And if you want to know how that worked out, when that church sent money down to Paul in Thessalonica, he said that their faith was spread abroad. Do you realize through your giving here at Calvary Baptist Church, Your faith is spread abroad. There's a number of countries right there. And then you throw Kentucky in the mix and it's another country. Just kidding about this if you're awake. There's probably a number of countries here represented in this and it's because of your liberality. And sometimes people say, how do we do this? How do we have support for this ministry and staff and school and all these other things and still able to send thousands dollars to the mission field. In a trial of affliction, when Joseph had a dream that his brothers were going to bow down to him, and he told them they couldn't stand that. And you know the story. They sold him, and they took him down into Egypt. He ended up in Potiphar's house. And Potiphar's wife lied on him. He ended up in jail. A couple guys came in. He interpreted their dreams. And he said, one of them, you're going to be restored to your office. The other one, he's going to take your head off. But to the guy who's going to be restored to the office, he said, will you remember me to the Pharaoh? Remember me. But he forgot him. He forgot him. And one day, the Pharaoh's dreaming a dream, had two dreams. And he didn't know what to do. And so he's trying to find somebody to interpret the dream and the guy that was the butler, he said, I do remember my faults this day. That's a neat way of saying that. I remember the day you threw me out of this place. I do remember my faults this day. Now, you know, I have a few days like that I remember my faults and I wish I could hit the delete button on a number of those days. Now, thank the Lord, the blood of Jesus Christ, his son, cleansed us from all sin. He didn't hold it against us. And so there's a guy down in the jail, he interpreted our dreams. They came to pass just like he said. Well, they sent for Joseph and they brought him and he told the Pharaoh what the dreams were. He said, the dream is one. There's going to be seven years of plenty and then seven years of famine. And here's what I think you ought to do. You ought to appoint somebody who can take care of this. And so that in those seven years of plenty, they can gather all the excess up. And then they can live in the seven years of famine off the excess. And Pharaoh said, can we find such a man that the gods are with him like this man? And so they made him number two guy. And he gave him a wife, Asenath. Her daddy was a priest. And Joseph was married and his first son, he named that boy Manasseh. And he said, because God has made me forget all my toil. And he had a second boy and his name was Ephraim. And he said, God has made me fruitful in the land of my affliction. You know, some of us, you're never gonna get fruitful until you can forget some things. If you get hung up on your past and how bad it was, or what you didn't get in the past, and you get sad and bitter, mad at God, or mad at whomever, you gotta forget some things. Forgetting those things which are behind pressing on toward the mark of the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus. And he was able to forget and God made him fruitful in the land of his affliction. It was not an easy thing Joseph went through. Psalms said they put his feet in irons. But that's in the past now. And he's able to forget that. And he's become fruitful. He's the number two guy in the whole world. I think if I was Potiphar's wife about right now, I'd be squirming. Because she lied on him. But you see, he didn't live in that past either. He was pressing on toward the mark. He was gonna save the world, as it were. And here the Bible is saying that God, there's two problems here. There is the problem of affliction, and there's the problem of deep poverty. What does that mean? You remember the story when the people of God was in the city of Samaria? And the enemy came and they surrounded the place and cut off all the supply rooms. Nobody was going out of Samaria, nobody was coming into Samaria. And it got so bad that they were eating dove's dung and horse dung, imagine. And two ladies agreed that they would boil my baby today and eat him and boil your baby tomorrow and eat that one. The first one went along, the second one didn't. And they went to the king and the king ripped his garment apart. The man of God knew something was wrong when the king rips his clothes apart. And they went to Elisha and he said, tomorrow, tomorrow, there's gonna be plenty to eat. And they laughed, they scorned him. And the guy who left, Elisha said, you're gonna see it, buddy, but you're not gonna eat it. Now right outside the city was four leprous men. They are in affliction. Nobody liked lepers. They put something over their mouth, unclean, unclean, and people just got out of the way, unclean, unclean. And these four leprous guys started talking, fellas, if we stay here, we're gonna die. If we go in the city, the famine's in there, we'll die in there. Let's go out to the enemy. If they kill us, doesn't matter, we're gonna die anyway, but maybe, maybe they'll save us alive. And so they went out there. And when they got there, what they didn't know was that God heard those army people, the enemy to hear a noise that sounded like they're being, they're gonna be overrun. These Samaritans have hired the enemy, our enemies come and destroy us. And so they left, they didn't even ride the horses, they ran. And they left tents full of food and gold and silver and garments. And those lepers went in there thinking that they were gonna be killed at any moment. and they're filling their bellies, and they go to the next tent, they fill their bellies, and they hide the gold and the silver, and one of them said, wait a minute. This is not good. Well, what do you mean it's not good? This is the day of glad tidings, and we'd be still and hold our peace. All the people back in Samaria, they're gonna die if we don't go tell them. Hey, look, they didn't care for us. They didn't care whether we died or not. Well, we're not them. And God's been good to us, and let's go tell them. And some of us are like that in deep affliction, lepers. Now they had deep poverty, they didn't have anything. And somehow that with God equaled the abundance of their liberal, they go back and they said, there's plenty out here. You remember on those special big day sales when the women, they're 17 feet deep and they're trying to get in the building. I saw one of those commercials, and the guy was on the inside, and they hadn't opened up the door yet, and they're pushing to get in, and he's in there in a body cast. He said, I opened the door last time. You opened it this time. Well, when they opened that line up, those people stormed into those tents and killed the guy who said, might this thing happen? You're going to see it, but you're going to eat of it. That was their problems. Now, the Bible says there are two powers. For to their power I bear record, yea, and beyond their power they were willing of themselves. To their power is what you can do. Beyond your power is beyond your power. But it's not beyond God's power. You can give to your power. If you had a dollar, you could give a dollar. But if you had a dollar, how you gonna give $10? Or whatever. He said, to their power. You can do to your power. Now, I probably could go over there to that piano and pick up that piano bench by myself and carry it. But I couldn't go over to that piano and pick that up and carry it. One is to my power, but that's beyond my power. You can do to your power. And you should. And then when you do to your power, You watch God go beyond your power. One day we were in a project in our church, trying to raise some money for some building project. And my granddaughter, who was probably seven, six or seven in that time frame, I was over in the auditorium and she came up to me and she said, Grandpa, did you see the letter I wrote for you? I said, no, Audrey, I didn't see the letter. She said, well, I left a letter on your desk. I said, well, I'm gonna go over there a few minutes and I'll look at it. I went over there and there was a letter. And it, in her writing, she says, to Grandpa from Audrey. And there was a penny taped to that letter. And it had a little P.S. There's a whole lot more where that came from. I said, I like this. She gave me a penny with a note, there's a whole lot more where that came from. I want you to know that penny raised thousands of dollars for us in that project. Other people brought money in and said, P.S. there's a whole lot more where that came from. Kids brought in their piggy bank. Just a little girl who was sincere. That's all she had was a penny. She gave to her power. But she really gave beyond her power because God got in there. When you think about when Elijah was down by the brook, and the brook dried up, because he said it was not going to rain until I say so. He didn't say so, so it didn't rain. The brook dried up. And the Lord said, I want you to go down to Zarephath. I've commanded a widow woman to sustain thee there. Now, you're thinking a widow woman. This is probably a wealthy widow woman. Her husband died and left a big cache of money to her. And he got over there to the entry of the place, and there's this lady walking out. And it looks like she's looking for something. And she's looking for two sticks. She wants to make a little fire, make a little cake. Her and her boy would eat it and they'll die. And God said, that's the woman who's gonna take care of you. And he said, ma'am, would you get me a drink of water? And she started to get, he said, oh, by the way, she said, sir, I don't have anything. I'm just gonna go pick up a couple sticks and my boy and I, we're gonna eat a little something, we're gonna die. He said, would you make me a cake first? Now, if you didn't know better, it'd be easy for you to be mad at Elijah right now. Make you a cake first. This woman and her boys about to die and you will make you. See, this was not just Elisha. This was the representative of God. This is like God was talking to her. And it's like God was saying, would you give me the first cake? You know, the Bible says, but seek ye first the kingdom of God and his righteousness and all these things shall be added unto you. Would you make me a cake first? And then he gave her a promise. And God said that that handful of meal will not diminish. So she made the little cake, gave it to him. Then she made something for her and her little boy. Elijah's over at her house. Did you know that God never filled up that barrel? If he'd have filled up that barrel, there would have been people saying, Hey, she's got, she's got mill over there. Let's go take it away. But if you'd gone over there and just look like a little bit in it, but that little bit never stopped. She took it out and God put it back. She'd take it out and God put it back. She'd take it out and God put it back. And nobody thought any of the wiser. And she was able for Elijah and her and her family to live until the famine or the drought was over. She gave to her power. That's all she had. And God gave her to his power. I love the story. Jesus had been teaching on a Bible conference and they'd been with him for three days and didn't have anything to eat. It's time to go home. And the disciples said, send them away. And Jesus said, you know, they've been with me three days and they haven't eaten anything and they're faint, they'll pass out along the way. He said, you feed them. He said, Lord, how are we gonna feed them? We don't have enough money to go enough bread or buy enough bread and where would we get the bread if they did have the money? He said, you give them to eat. What do you have? And they learned that a little boy had five loaves and two fishes. And that little boy gave those five loaves and two fishes to Jesus. Would you give your lunch to Jesus? His mother must have been thinking ahead, son, now, I want you to have this. This will tide you over for a while. So that little boy gave the five loaves and two fishes. I mentioned the story to you last night, how he made them sit down in groups of fifties, and they started at the beginning, but they didn't fill up everybody out here before they moved on, they just gave it to all those people. Everybody oughta hear, everybody oughta know, everybody oughta know, everybody oughta know who Jesus is. Everybody ought to tell, everybody ought to tell, everybody ought to tell who Jesus is. So when they fed all those people, everybody was filled up. My, what a meal. I've had fish around the Sea of Galilee for years, but I've never had any fish taste this good. And they gathered up the fragments that remained, and they had 12 baskets full. So what did they do with the 12 baskets full? Someone said, well, there's 12 apostles, each got a basket. Well, those guys didn't give anything. Why should they get a basket? They didn't give anything. Now, the Bible doesn't tell us who got it. So if you come up to me and wanna argue about this, when I say, what if Jesus gave those 12 baskets to that boy? You can't prove he didn't. And he might've said, I need 12 guys to carry these baskets and follow this boy home. Now, can you imagine this kid showing up at his house? And all of a sudden, mama comes out, son, what's all this? And the little boy said, mama, I don't know what it is. I just gave Jesus my five loaves and two fishes and he gave me all this. Isn't that like the Lord? To do that. Of course it is. That's beyond your power. I hope you'll take the faith promise card the pastor's been talking about each time we've been in church here on this conference, and you'll ask the Lord what part you want me to have. I like what this one little boy did. He was six years old, and he filled out about a dollar. He said, my daddy will pay this. Now, for you and I, when you fill out yours, you can say, my heavenly daddy will help me pay this. He will pay this if he lays that on your heart. You can give that and you give it and you give it regularly and you don't begrudge it and your help reaching people like Ezra and these other dear brethren and folks none of us have ever met and we'll never meet probably. And the gospel must be published among all nations before the end comes. I'm not sure what all that means. But I know that God wants everybody to hear. In Matthew 5, 9, I read Revelation 5, 9, Revelation 7, 9, he wants every nation, tribe, people, and tongues, and kindred, he wants everybody to be there. Somebody from every tribe and nation and tongue and people to be there. Isn't that a wonderful thing that he would want that for us? John Chinaman was standing one day when an atheist came up to him And he said, John Chinaman, what's the first thing you're gonna do when you get to heaven? And John Chinaman said, I'm gonna walk down the street of glory until I find the Lord Jesus Christ. And I'm gonna bow at his knees and worship him for saving my soul. And the atheist sneered and said, well, John Chinaman, what are you gonna do next? He said, I'm gonna go back out on the street And I'm going to go down the streets until I find the person who was the missionary who came to my country and told me how I could be saved. And then the atheist said, well, John Chinaman, what are you going to do next? He said that I'm going to go back out on the street and I'm going to go up and down that street until I find the person who gave the money to send that missionary to tell me about Jesus. Will there be anybody in heaven looking for you? Would you bow your heads and close your eyes and stand to your feet? Pastor.
