Treading on the Waves

The mighty Lord is revealed walking on the water. Peter shows great faith in wanting to walk on the waters too, in meeting and greeting his beloved Master. But then Peter looks to himself. Focusing on his own weakness he begins to sink. He cries out for mercy. Christ saves him. Our Lord speaks of his faith as "little faith", but little faith will save us if it attaches to Christ. Peter sinned in doubting. We all sin. The only remedy for sin is the blood of Jesus.
