If you will turn quickly to the book of the Revelation, chapter 21. We're speaking tonight on the new heaven and the new earth. In order to see this verse clearly, you'll notice there's three words that appear all through the book of the Revelation. John said, and I saw. If you read the book of the Revelation, and every time you come to that expression, I saw, it will amaze you to see what this man saw. But you can see the same thing that he saw, provided you get in the same spirit he got in. And the only way you can understand the Bible is to get in the same spirit that the men were in when they wrote it. Turn back quickly to chapter 1 in verse 10. I was in the Spirit on the Lord's day. See? In the Holy Ghost on the Lord's day. And of course the Lord's day is down at the end when He comes again. Then the book of the Revelation will be complete and fulfilled completely in the coming of our Lord. His first coming was over a period of time. His second coming will also be over a period of time. And I saw a new heaven and a new earth. For the first heaven and the first earth were passed away, and there was no more sea. Then in verse 2, and I, John, saw what else? A holy city. I want you between now and tomorrow night Start with verse 2 and read the entire chapter and see how much you can find in the Bible about the Holy City. That'll be a good test for you, and it'll be a future assignment that we give you tonight. The Holy City. And if you read the entire book of Revelation, especially chapter 1, Then I trust that that'll do something to you, to make you want to go to that city. Bible says it lies four square, 1600 miles that way, that way, this way, this way. It's a perfect cube. The other day he said to me, well, that wouldn't be big enough to hold a people. I said, my brother, the state of Texas right now can hold every human being that's ever lived alive now will. Well, I didn't know that. I said, you ought to do some figuring and thinking. I said, it's big enough to take care of all who are going there. I said, are you going there? He said, I hope so. I said, the Bible said Christ in you is the hope of glory. If your hope is that, you're fine. Now, tonight, as we bring the message on the new heaven and the new earth, Somebody said to me the other day, Mr. Caldwell, why is it necessary for God to make a new heaven and a new earth? In the book of Job, it tells you that the heavens are not clean in God's sight. Then he's got to make them anew. The Bible tells you that there's a curse of God on this earth, and God never can use anything with a curse on it. He's got to make it anew, and that's what we're going to look at tonight. In the Bible, God has a new heaven and new earth designed for a new people. And we're going to look at all of that tonight as we come to study the scriptures on the subject, new heavens and new earth. As it's my manner of preaching and teaching, I start slow. and I get higher and higher and trust that I'll catch fire before I get to the top and blow up. Question number one. How will they come about? Well, how did God make them in the beginning? He made the sun, moon, and stars by the great law of congealing. He made this earth by the great law of congealing. God took certain elements and congealed them and put them together. That's the way he makes a tree. He takes a tree, and in that tree there's dirt, there's water, and there's gases, and that's all. A trinity in every tree. Gases, water, and dirt. You burn it, it goes into ashes. That's dirt chemically changed. And therefore, the scientists have found out that you cannot create anything, neither can you destroy anything. You can only change its form. Nobody but Almighty God has the power of creation. And the God that created everything in the beginning is going to dissolve it, turn it back to its original source, and make it anew. Everything you see came from what you don't see. Everything you see in the way of the moon, sun, and stars, and this earth, was made out of invisible gases by the great law of congealing. When God made everything, he said it was good, and very good. God could not make anything imperfect, so everything he makes is perfect. Question number one, how will they come about? I saw a new heaven and a new earth. Here's five simple statements that will help you greatly. First, the O will be dissolved. Reduce and go back to its original source. Here's a tree. God made the tree. Any fool can cut it down, but it takes God to make a tree. That tree, when it's put in the fire, is dissolved and goes back to its original source. The dirt goes to ashes, the water goes back into steam, then back condensed into water, and the gases go back into the air, and so it goes right back into invisible gases. The new will be created. Only God can do that. And the former shall not be remembered, nor come into God's mind. This earth planet that you see, the sun, moon, and stars, will have served their purpose. It's the grand stage for Almighty God. You and I as human beings, we come out of eternity, we step off in time and play our little part, and death comes along and we go back into eternity. And this earth planet is nothing but the vestibule of eternity. It's a place where you come and play your little part on the stage and you go. Did Everest guide it to you? Just a few days ago, you was a little barefooted boy. But now, some of us are graveyards. Won't be long till we go back in to the long, long eternity. All things will be made new. And God who made them in the beginning will make them anew. Isaiah chapter 65 verse 17, For behold, I create, bring into existence something as never was before. God will not repair this side. He will not re-benefit this side. God is not in the patching business nor in the paint business. God is in the business of making things new. For behold, I create new heavens and a new earth, and the former shall not be remembered, Now come into my mind. Every man that God sends to hell, he'll forget that man forever. If there happen to be some of your loved ones, God will cut you loose from him. He'll be put in hell. You'll never think about him. He'll be absolutely taken out of your mind. How could you be happy in heaven looking into hell and seeing some of your loved ones? Ladies and gentlemen, that will not be. Hebrews chapter 1, verse 10 to 12. And thou, Lord, in the beginning hast laid the foundation of the earth, and the heavens are the work of thine hands. They shall perish, but thou remainest, and they shall wax all as a garment. How old is this earth? I don't know. The scientists tell me that they're millions and millions of years old. I have no quibble with them. Because in Genesis chapter 1 it said, in the beginning. When was that? I don't know. In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth. But between verse 1 and 2, there's a mighty chasm, maybe millions and millions of years in between them. And the next verse said, the earth was without form and void, and darkness was upon the face of the deep. God never made anything like that. Sure, that a great catastrophic judgment took place. And smote this earth in judgment, out of chaos God brings order. He always does that. They shall perish, but thou remainest, and they shall wax old as a garment, and as a vesture shalt thou fold them up. The very thing I just said. And they shall be changed, but thou art the same, and their years shall not fail. Now God never changes, but He's going to change you, and it's going to change this earth and burn it up and put it back into invisible gases and out of that God will make a new heaven and a new earth. 2 Peter chapter 3 and then verse 10 down to verse 14. Listen. But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night, in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise. And the The elements shall melt with fervent heat. The earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up. That's a plain statement, isn't it? Did you not know that this earth is stored up in fire? There's fire in every rock in this earth. Get them together and out comes fire. There's fire in two pieces of wood. Rub them together and they'll catch a fire. There's fire in two pieces of steel, rub them together and they will melt. Ladies and gentlemen, the scientists have discovered that you take even water and divide the water from the water and you run into gases and that'll catch fire. Think about it, when God splits all the atoms in the air and God sets all the gasoline afire in this earth, all of the oil, my God, what a fire. When this thing is dissolved and blows up, and it will, seeing then that all of these things shall be dissolved. Turn back to the original source. What manner of persons ought ye to be in all holy conversation and godliness, looking far and hastening unto the coming of the day of God, wherein the heavens, being on fire, shall be dissolved? Turn back to the original source. And the elements shall melt with fervent heat. Nevertheless, we according to his promise, guys, back to John 14, as we read a little bit later. Nevertheless, according to his promise, we look for what? New heavens and a new earth wherein dwelleth righteousness. Wherefore, beloved, seeing that you look for such things, be diligent that you may be found of him in peace. without spot and blameless. So we have the picture of how it will come about. Question number two, what will be the purpose of the new heavens and the new earth? Remember that God has had a purpose for everything he's ever done. He made the grasshopper, he had a purpose for it. He made the red worm, he had a purpose for it. My little boy one day said, Daddy, why did God make that red worm? I said to feed the birds and let me go fishing and catch a fish to that red wine. He said, I haven't anything more to say. I said, well that's it. God has a purpose in everything that he's ever made in this earth. He had a purpose when he made you. He has a will and a plan for your life and man is the only rebel in the universe. Every tote frog, every bullfrog, every grasshopper, everything that God has ever made is moving exactly in the will of God. Man is the only rebel in the great kingdom of God. Oh, listen to me tonight. The great fire is coming, and God's going to make a new heaven and a new earth, and what is the purpose? Well, first, it'll be paradise restored. Second, it'll be the home of the redeemed. And third, it'll be the glory of God's Son. Ah, listen. Out yonder, one day in God's great tomorrow, this thing that we're looking at now, the sun, moon, and stars, and this earth, will look like a chicken coop to the side of the new heavens and the new earth. You and I cannot conceive of the majesty, the glory that will be revealed in God's coming kingdom. I was in Kansas City, Missouri, and God revealed to me the coming kingdom. And I began to scream, riding in that automobile. They thought I was having a heart attack. I said, no, I'm part in heaven and part down here. And I never have been in such a shape in all my life when I saw the glory of God's coming kingdom. Ladies and gentlemen, if you and I could get a little glimpse of the glory of God's kingdom, I don't know what will happen to you. I do not know. I know there was a man, one of the Greek philosophers, in writing he wrote a description of a heaven. And a man read it and it so affected him, he ran and jumped off of a rock cliff so he could commit suicide and go there. And a man could write a description of a heaven that's so powerful. till a man would jump off a rock cliff and commit suicide in order to get there. See what would happen to you if God really let you saw it? You wouldn't be fit for nothing here anymore. When the Apostle Paul was guided to the third heaven, he wasn't fit for nothing after that time. God had to take him on. He was so homesick he couldn't stay here. And you began to see a little bit why that God keeps you in the dark about these great things. be paradise restored, be the home of the redeemed, be the glory of God's Son, and not only that, but be the Father's new house. My Father has a new house. See? He has a new family. Jesus Christ is the firstborn Son. He's the cornerstone of the family of God. And out yonder, in the future, God's going to have a new heaven and a new earth that'll be the Father's new home. John chapter 14 verse 2 to 6, Jesus said, in my father's house. In my father's house. I used to write for the magazine. And I wrote that article, in my father's house. It was sent to various mission fields. I think I have a copy of it left yet. Maybe the Lord will let me put it again. In my father's house. I got rather religious in that article as I began to write it. In my father's house are many mansions. A mansion means a fighting place. You and I may be living in a trailer, and there's no disgrace about that. You may be living in a log cabin. I was born in a log cabin. And I've always been grateful for my mother and father. They did the best for me they could. And you may be living in a rented house. You may be living in a house not yet paid for. But glory to God in the Lamb, forever we're headed somewhere, children, and we're coming to a Father's house in which there's many mansions. God has a mansion for every one of His young. Do you like that? God has a multimillionaire, children. Oh, listen, in my Father's house are many mansions. If it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again." Well, when did he come? On the day of Pentecost. My God, you're in heaven now if you only find it out. Our great tragedy is we're looking for the beautiful isles of somewhere, nobody knows where, we're bobbing up and down like a bottle on the water. Will we ever find out when God saves a man, he puts heaven on the inside of you? He kicks hell out of you and puts God on the inside, the kingdom of God. And Jesus said, I'm going to buy you a mansion. You could be living in a mansion right now, even though you're living in a log cabin. See? You could be happy right now. Quit grunting and grumbling and fussing and fiddling and fuming. And see that God, when he says he put heaven on the inside, he gave it right now. And if you don't have heaven now, then when are you going to get heaven? Listen to me. If I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you under myself, that where I am, there you may be also. And whither I go, you know, and the way you know. And notice Thomas. He was a good Baptist that didn't have too much life. Thomas said unto him, Lord, we know not whither thou goest, and how can we know the way? But I'm glad he asked that question. And my Lord answered that question. Will you listen to that? This will kill every goober-headed soul in earth. All of these apostate harlot preachers will kill the last one of them. Listen to John 14, verse 6. It tells you how God saves sinners. Thomas said, Lord, we don't know where you've gone, and how can we know the way? Listen. And Jesus said unto him, I am the way. You like that? I am the way. I am the truth, I am the life, and no man cometh unto the Father but by me." Talk about leading somebody to Jesus, my God, where would you go with you? And when would you know when you got in there? Oh, children, listen tonight. I want you to know that you know that you're saved, and understand this glorious picture that one day you will land in the new heavens and the new earth. Question number three. What will not be in the new heavens and the new earth? There's seven things in Revelation chapter 21 that will not be in the new heavens and the new earth. And that's one of the things that'll make heaven. What makes hell on the inside of you is something that it ought not to be. What makes heaven on the inside of you is something in there that ought to be. God made you for himself. He never made you for the devil, and why do business with the devil? What will not be in the new heavens and new earth? Here are seven things. I'll just mention them and move on. First, there'll be no devil there. You like that? I've had all the rounds of the devil I want. Second, there'll be no demons there. You like that? They'll all be in hell. Third, there'll be no sin there. I like that too. And fourth, there'll be no death there. Ah, there'll be no crepes on the doorknobs of God's eternal house. There'll be no death there. And in the next place, there'll be no sickness there. I hate death, I hate disease, I hate sickness, I hate the devil, and I hate the demons because they're the ones that cause it, plus our plumb ignorance about what to do and what not to do. Be no sickness there. Not only that, but there be no pain and sorrow there. You like that? You'll never have a pain in the new heavens and the new earth because the thing that causes pain and sickness will not be there. Not only that, but there be no separation there. I read the book of the Revelation time and again, time and again. And in chapter 21 and verse 1, which is the text of the evening, I never could understand what God was saying there. Notice it. And I saw a new heaven and a new earth. For the first heaven and the first earth were passed away. Then what else? And there'll be no sea there. I said, well, there'll be no water there. Now wait a minute, chapter 22, you have the river of life. I said, wait a minute, that won't work. There's going to be water there, the river of life will be there, but there'll be no sea there. I said, God, what does it mean? He said, what does sea stand for? Separation. Oh, glory to God and the Lamb forever. There'll be no separation there. That sea stands for separation. And nobody but John understood the pains of that. For he had been exiled and put in the Isle of Patmos, and a mighty sea was between him and his loved one. Oh, think about it. God said, I'll punish old John. The worst thing that could have happened to John is take him away from this church. I'll put him in the isle of Patmos by himself. God said, that's exactly what I want done. Devil, go ahead. I want him to write the book of the Revelation over there along with God. Well, he's got nothing to do but listen to God and the rammer of Almighty God. And as the thing begins to unfold, John said, I was in the Spirit on the Lord's day. Glory to God, I got in the same Holy Ghost that the Apostles got in when they began to write a part of the New Testament. Now I'm in the same spirit and begin to see things. And I'll tell you children, when you and I get in the Holy Ghost, you're in the same spirit that the Apostles were in when they produced the New Testament. And what keeps you from seeing as much as they saw? Not a thing in God's Word. Nothing. See? Question number four. What will be in the new heavens and new earth? I'm interested in that too, aren't you? Well, there'll be ten things there, and ten is totality. And the ten things that'll be there will make heaven heaven. What makes heaven right here? Is God taking hell out of you and putting hell and heaven on the inside of you? Well, some of the happiest people I've ever seen are people that are living in poverty. Holy Ghost said the other day, go to town. I said, what for? I got sitting on your business. I said, all right, Lord, I'm ready. Wife said, where are you going? Town. What for? I don't know. Well, that's strange. I said, I know it is, but I'm on my way. I started to town and saw a colored man sitting on the sidewalk. He is sitting there. He bought three potatoes. He had a nickel. All the money he had. Bought three potatoes. He'd eaten one. Another one was laying down on the sidewalk where he's sitting. of the potato he was peeling. I said, what are you doing, uncle? He said, great God, I'm eating a potato. I said, what? He said, you know, I'm the happiest man in the world. And I could see God all over that colored man. Sitting there, I'd eat one potato. I had no more money, but thank God he had two more potatoes. And he's peeling that potato. And he said, I know I'm the happiest man in the world, surely. I've got God in my soul and the heaven from my home. I'm hell-proof and moving toward the eternal city of God." And he said, I've got a good appetite. A lot of these millionaires in town, they've got a pocket full of money, but they've got no appetite. Bless God, I've got an appetite. I can eat anything. Sitting there eating that ice potato. And I was before God, I bowed my head. And I said, God, I'll never complain the longest day I live. I'll never complain anymore about what I have to eat. There is a man just as happy as he could be. Oh, listen, children. Talk about being happy in heaven. No, no, you miss this whole thing. If you're not happy now, death don't make any change on you. You just change the world. If you're the devil here, you'll be the devil there. Death works no magic for no man. You don't get sanctified in death. You change worlds in death. There was that colored man just as happy as he could be. Well, here's the ten things. I haven't time to do anything but to enumerate them. What will be in the new heavens and new earth? First, God will be there. You like that? Second, Christ will be there. I like that. Third, the Holy Ghost will be there. I like that, don't you? Not only that, but the holy angels will be there. I like that. Not only that, but the redeemed of all ages will be there. I long to see old Enoch, the man that walked with God 300 years without a break. I long to see old Noah, the man that built an ark that all hell couldn't sink. I long to see Abraham that formed the Hebrew nation. I long to see Moses, the man that emancipated that great nation. I long to see Joshua that fought a hill with the Ichors and took God's children across Jordan and land them in Canaan, kill out the Canaanites and turn the Father's land I'd like that. I'd like to see old Daniel. A man smells most like God to the lions, indeed. I'd like to see the Hebrew children. They wouldn't bow and they wouldn't burn. But bless God, they serve God and way to the fire, children. Ah, listen. Wouldn't you be ashamed to meet old Enoch? Carwell, how long did you walk with God? I said, I was afraid of that. Enoch, you know, my walk was sort of up and down and more down. It wasn't up. Then Enoch will say, you know, I walked with God when there was no Bible. I walked with God when there was no church. I walked with God when the world was gone to the devil. I walked with God when there were but few believers. And I walked and I kept on walking. One day God said, it's close to my home, it is yours, let's go on. And he went on to spend the day with God. And in chapter 21 it tells you there's no night in heaven. Thus God is still spending the day with God. My dear children, listen to me tonight. If you'll never ever see the glory of this coming kingdom, you'll never be the same. Not only that, but the throne of God will be there. And it's a throne that all hell can't shake. In the next place, the tree of life will be there. and it blooms all year round and bears twelve manner fruit and there's no worms in God's apples. Not only that, but the river of life will be there. Not only that, but there'll be tranquility and peace will be there. Nothing to disturb the tranquility and the peace of God's children, while the ages of eternity hold on. But think of the poor devils in hell, devil possessed, and their soul will be demonized, and their bodies will be nothing but a house for those devils to cry in day and night. Not only that, but the holy city will be there, and tomorrow night, the Lord willing, we'll look in on that city. Revelation chapter 22, verse 1 to 5, and he showed me a pure river of water of life, clear as a crystal, proceeding out of the throne of God and of the Lamb. In the midst of the street of it, saith the Holy Spirit, I have a street, but just one street. Do you like that? Not streets. Oh, just one street. In the street of it, and on either side of the river, there is the tree of life. which bear twelve manner of fruits, and yielded a fruit every month, and the leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations." Well, I didn't think there'd be anybody sick. There won't be. The leaves will keep you from ever getting sick. See? See, God has a hospital for the sick, and has another hospital for those who never be sick. The leaves, we have found out through the great law of photosynthesis, that all of the poison in the air comes into the leaves and they eat up all the poison. That's the reason you and I need to live where the woods are. That's the reason why people live in these big cities full of cancers and everything else. And they have recently discovered that cancer is more prevalent by people who live by highway. The fumes from the cars are killing us. day by day, and we don't know what to do. And there shall be no curse there, but the throne of God and of the Lamb shall be in it, and his servants shall serve him, and they shall see his face, and his name shall be in their farts, and there shall be no night there. You like that? And they have no need of the cattle, Neither the light of the sun, for the Lord God giveth them light, and they shall reign forever and ever. You like that? I sure do. Question number five. How can I get there? Mr. Carwell, I'd like to go to the new heavens and new earth when I get done with this life and to put my body back in the ground. And I take off to the beautiful isles of Samoa I'm going to tell you where in a few minutes, but hold your peace. How can I get there? Well, there's five things got to happen to you, and nobody but God can do it. So you shut up to God, and the quicker you yield to God and see that salvation is of the Lord, and quit fussing and fiddling and fuming and striving, yield yourself to God and to God alone. A man said to me the other day, Mr. Carwell, I can't make the wind blow, but I said you could put out your sails. So if it happened to blow, you'd be in line. The other fellow said, I can't repent. I said, tell God you can't. He might help you, son. I said, that's not your problem. No, it isn't. Just look at it. How can I get there? Five things must happen to you. First, you must be made anew. Second, you must be indwelt by the Holy Ghost. And third, you must be reconciled to God. And fourth, you must be at peace with God. And fifth, you must be in vital union with Christ. Are you listening? No man can go to the new heaven and new earth, which will be the final home of the redeemed, without these five things taking place, and nobody but God can do it. You are shut up. The salvation is of the Lord. and the Lord alone. 2 Corinthians 5.17 it says, Therefore, if any man be in Christ, where? In Christ, where is he? He's in heaven. In God. He is a new creature, a new creation. All things are passed away. Behold, all things are made new. Who is it that don't like something new? Every once in a while, I get car fever. I want a new car. Every once in a while, my wife gets dress fever. She wants to buy a new dress, and if we don't have money to buy, she buys a cloth and makes her one. I'd like to have a new dress. Are you listening? I like new things, and I like a city. Question number six. How long will we be there? Wouldn't it be terrible? You've been in heaven a thousand years. Somebody come along and say, did you hear that Miss Verna Eccles is sick? No, isn't it? Yes, she's sick, and we're gonna, she's gonna die, and we're gonna bury her. Oh my. In such a wonderful world, the greatest tragedy in the world is not being able to get there, but the worst tragedy would be to get there and couldn't stay there. My God, after I've been in hypnosis a thousand years and have to leave, I would have never saw the face of God. But how long will we be that? I'm glad to answer that question. Here it comes. First, we'll have an eternal God forever. Second, we'll have an eternal Christ forever. And third, we'll have an eternal Holy Ghost forever. Not only that, but we have an eternal throne forever. The Bible said God's throne is forever. Not only that, but we have an eternal kingdom forever. Not only that, but we have an eternal city forever. Not only that, but we have eternal life. You like that? If you've got eternal life, you can't die. And if I'm in the holy city, that goes without saying, I'll never be sick, I'll never die, never be a grave dug up on the hillsides of God. Forever and ever I'll have eternal life. But there's one other thing. You could be in hell and heaven if you didn't have this next thing. People in hell will be alive, but my God, what a life. Are you listening to me tonight? There's one other thing. Thou be eternal joy forever. That will settle this whole business. And did you know that the kingdom of God is joy and righteousness and peace in the Holy Ghost right now? You've got eternal joy now if you belong to the Lord. Isaiah chapter 35, verse 9 to 10, will you listen? Said, No lion shall be thine, nor any ravenous beast shall go thine own. It shall not be found there, but the redeemed shall walk there." I like that. Walk on that golden street. A fellow the other day said, Mr. Caldwell, in Revelation 21 it talks about the golden streets. Are you interested in that? I said some, but very little interest in that. Well, what are you interested in? First, I'm interested in getting there, but I have but little interest in the golden streets. because I'm not money-minded. But are you listening? Suppose you're walking on the golden streets. I'll tell you something that's greater than that goal is to meet somebody on the golden streets that you helped in this life. My God, you meet them on the streets and start talking. Hello there, Conwell. Hello there, Mrs. Eckers. God used you to help me down in that world of hell and sorrow below. And you meet on the golden street and you get talking to one another and loving one another and the streets will fade into oblivion. And they should. That's just God not trying to get you to be money minded. He wants you to see that the thing that men go to hell over, we're going to walk on in heaven, see? You go to hell over gold and we're going to walk on in heaven. You like that? But the redeemed shall walk down, what else? and the ransom of the Lord shall return. And come to Zion with songs and everlasting joy upon their heads. They shall obtain joy and gladness and sorrow and signs shall flee away. You like this? Ladies and gentlemen, I don't know how you feel tonight, but I'm feeling sort of religious. My mind goes back when I was a little barefooted boy. I've always loved the city and always wanted to go. One day I saw a little goober-headed town and it thrilled me to death. But I got saved and got studying the Bible. I got studying about the city that Abraham looked for, which hath foundations, whose maker and builder is God. And ladies and gentlemen, to contemplate being in the new heavens, and the new earth and being able to be an inhabitant in the holy city, as we'll see tomorrow night, and to know that you're there forever and ever and ever. And think about who you're going to meet there. All of your loved ones that outstripped you in the lane of life, you're going to be there. I'm coming to question number seven. That I would to God we had at least two solid hours. But we don't have that time. But we have all the time there is. All the time we can put on this tape. Question number seven. What shall we do then? Will we play marbles and mumble peg and pitch horseshoes? Play golf? Ain't nothing wrong in doing that. Unless you had something better. And I said, Mr. Caldwell, any harm to go on a picture show? I said, that's not your problem, brother. Is there any good in it? I'm not looking, is there any harm in that thing? I said, is there any good in it? I'm looking for the good, not the bad. And so we're coming tonight to ask a question and to answer that question. What shall we do there? I'm going to at least enumerate six things I'm dead certain we'll do. Are you listening? First, we'll worship God. I'm dead certain of that. Second, we'll behold his face. I'm dead certain of that. But you could do that here. I didn't know that. All through the book of Psalms it said, seek my face. Seek my face. What does that mean? Face God, face to face is what it means. You don't see God, you never will see God, only in Christ, in one another. But seek my face. Come face to face with God and look Him in the face. And say, God, I want to look you smack dab in the face. And He knows what you tell the truth about. Look God in the face. The next thing we'll do, we'll learn of his ways. All the ways of God, we could learn them here. And the fourth thing we'll do, we'll love God forever. Now, if you don't love him now, what do you think is going to happen to you when you come to die? There's no sanctification in death, only change where? You're going into the next life exactly like you leave this one. Now, you need to know that. Would you be willing to die right now? Well, preacher, I'd say, no, no, wait a minute. You may die for four months, I may too, but ladies and gentlemen, according to the Bible, you leave this world and go into the next one exactly as you is. We're going to love God there. And the next thing we'll do is we'll make a display of his grace forever. Ephesians chapter 2 verse 7. It says that in the ages to come God will make a display of his grace. Look at B.B. Coghlan. That bird was down in Egypt sitting at the flyspots of Egypt digging his grave with his teeth full of the devil and everything a slave to Pharaoh and the Egyptians. There he was rotten on his feet, and I took him up out of the mire, and I put him in the choir, and I put a psalm in his soul, and a praise upon his lips, and a sparkle in his eyes. There you'll be while the ages of eternity roll on. You're there by the grace of God, and that's all. There's the final thing that I enumerate tonight that we'll do there. Are you listening? You're going to teach others. Do you like that? Is that in the Bible? It sure is. Isaiah chapter 2. Come and let us go up to the house of the Lord, and we'll learn of his ways. And are you listening, those that have developed their executive ability in this life? Bless God, O my soul. We've got to teach others. Suppose that baby dies. There's got to be a place of development. A baby went to heaven, who's going to nurse it? Ah, listen, that baby has no capacity to enjoy this tremendous thing I'm talking about. Ladies and gentlemen, there's got to be a place of development and bringing them forward and out yonder in the ages to come. I plan not to preach, because that has to do with evangelism, but I plan to teach. While the ages move on, maybe for a million years, I don't know how long it'll take to develop a lot of people. My dear mother died, didn't know much about it. My dear father died, didn't know much about it. But glory to God and the Lamb forever in the age to come. I'd want somebody to teach me, wouldn't you? How can you enjoy anything without a full capacity? You can't. Shall we stand and have a word of prayer. Our Father, we want you to take this tape wherever it may go. Let it be a manner. Let it be a blessing. Let it be a little messenger on a piece of tape that can help the Lord's people. While we move in this lowland of sorrow, lead us and guide us and use us in the lovely name of the Lord Jesus. Amen and amen.
