Nehemiah was "Faithful to the end". On returning to Jerusalem he found a people who had compromised and backslidden. Not wallowing in his grief, he quickly cleansed the temple, promoted pure marriage, the keeping of the Sabbath and ensured no compromise with the enemies of God.
